Mattel, the toy company that created Barbie in 85033, launched a line of gender-neutral dolls called Creatable World Wednesday.

Available worldwide, the "Creatable World" line of dolls can have long or short hair and come with a range of clothing options and accessories.

Unlike Mattel's best-known doll, the iconic Barbie, the Creatable World dolls do not have overly (and often unrealistically) feminized facial features or figures.

The new "Creatable World" dolls are customizable and allow children to give them long or short hair, dress them in a skirt or trousers, and change their accessories.

On Wednesday, the famed toy company announced Creatable World, a brand new line of dolls created without gender labels attached, "offering endless combinations all in one box," according to a press release.

"I was in tears the first time I read it and it's because it feels so human and so creatable and it feels like it's about real people and about real drama," she said.

Along with dolls featuring various hair styles, hair colors and skin tones, each Creatable World Deluxe Character Kit comes with a different set of clothing and accessories to customize the doll's look for playtime.

Commenting on the new Creatable World dolls, Let Toys Be Toys campaigner Megan Perryman points out that the dolls are likely to appeal to children because they'll be able to create one that resembles themselves.

Creatable World offers six unique kits that each include one doll and two wig options for hair styling, plus clothing and accessory options like pants, skirts, shorts, jackets, glasses, T-shirts, hats, shoes and more.

The new line, introduced on Wednesday and called Creatable World, is intended to reflect our culture "as the world continues to celebrate the positive impact of inclusivity," said Kim Culmone, the Mattel executive who led the team that designed the new dolls.

Creatable World is the first line of gender-neutral dolls produced by Mattel.

Characters possess gender, race, and class. The mud has 28 creatable races (of which two are 'evolutionary' – containing 14 sub-races), nine quest races (elemental giants and chromatic dragons, added mid-2013), ten 'remort' (second playthrough) races, and two 'ascension' (pvp legend tier specific) races. All together, players currently have access to 61 races, not counting grandfathered races or races only available to non-player characters and staff members. The game has seven creatable classes, nine 'prestige' (quest accessible) classes, and five powerful 'remort' classes, for a total of twenty-one classes, not counting grandfathered classes or classes only available to NPCs and staff members.

Creatable World dolls differ in design from other dolls produced by Mattel. The design of the doll is unique and is noticeably different from both Barbie and Ken; there are no curves or broad shoulders present on the dolls. The doll does not have breasts like Barbie does, and has other features that do not display an obvious gender. The dolls are sold in kits, and 6 different kits are currently part of the doll line.

The Pokémon Kyogre is based on a Leviathan. In the 1995 game X-COM: Terror from the Deep, the final class of submarines is called Leviathan. In the Disgaea games, Leviathan is one of six levels of the Sea Serpent class, which is one of many creatable monster character classes. Leviathan is a recurring creature in the Final Fantasy RPG series, often encountered as an obstacle or boss, as well as a water-based Summon spell.

The kits offer several customization options, including different hairstyles, clothes and accessories that are intended to offer a variety of both feminine and masculine presenting play options. According to Kim Culmone, the senior-vice president of Mattel Doll Design, Creatable World is "an opportunity for us to open up that dialogue around what dolls are for and who dolls are for". Michelle Condoni, a spokeswoman for Mattel, has stated that "we see this is as something that's all about play and not about politics". Research and design for the doll line's development took 18 months.

In 2006 while in the 2nd Division the 1st Grade team won the Barraclough Cup and the 4th Grade team the Richardson Cup. In 2007 this feat was repeated with the 1st Grade team again winning the Barraclough Cup and the 4th Grade team likewise winning the Richardson Cup.
