In 1973, Flood's second marriage was ending and his music career was struggling. Flood decided to leave it all behind and move to Georgia. He camped alone for four months until he found a job as the animal curator of the Okefenokee Swamp. For eight years he lived on the northern edge of Cowhouse Island.

People of the village are quite spiritual and there are 10-11 temples in the village. Out of all these temples, Nakhi Baba temple is famous and a center of attraction and faith. It is situated 2 km away from village and every Sunday people goes there to worship. A CowHouse/GauShala is also there.

In 1634 the buildings included 'a very ancient parsonage house', three barns, a woolhouse, a sheephouse, a stable and a cowhouse. From 1669 onwards, the lease was held by the Justices of Sutton. In the late eighteenth century, the Justices began to extend the original leasehold curtilage by buying the freehold of adjoining tenements. Thomas Justice bought houses flanking the road on the west in 1773 and 1785.

Dunball Wharf. To the right is Dunball Clyce where the King's Sedgemoor Drain flows into the River Parrett An Act of 1791 authorised improvements to the drainage of the peat lands of King's Sedgemoor. The existing outfalls for the moor were inadequate. Cowhouse Clyse, near Andersea on the River Parrett, was too high to work well, and Bennett Clyse, a little further downstream, was not working at all.

A bridge over the Leon River in Belton. The Leon River is a river in the U.S. state of Texas. It has three primary forks; the North, Middle, and South Leon rivers which meet near Eastland and then run for around until it meets with the Lampasas River and the Salado Creek to form the Little River near Belton. Tributaries include Pecan Creek and Cowhouse Creek in Hamilton County, Texas.

At the Vero Beach Municipal Airport, sustained winds reached . In Highlands County, up to of rain forced the closure of a small portion of U.S. Route 98 between Cowhouse Road and County Road 621 in Lorida. The inundation was caused by Arbuckle Creek overflowing and washing a few inches of water on the road. A damage survey conducted by the National Weather Service indicates that a tornado was spawned near St. Cloud in Osceola County.

The Queens Hall Cinema, later the Gaumont, replaced Rock Hall House, and was itself demolished in 1960. Thorverton, Caddington and Dersingham Roads were laid out in 1907, the year of the opening of Golders Green Underground station. Cowhouse Farm, latterly Dicker's Farm and finally Avenue Farm, was closed in 1932. From 1908 to 1935, Westcroft Farm was owned by the Home of Rest for Horses; at its peak it could house 250 horses.

There is a scattered settlement of at least three courtyard houses dating from the Late Iron Age at the eastern foot of Hannibal's Carn. The best preserved has walls up to 1.5 metres high, with an adjoining paddock. Another has a late medieval cowhouse built inside its walls. Within the settlement there is a feature called the Bosporthennis Beehive Hut (), which has been identified as an above ground fogou, similar to the round, subterranean chamber at Carn Euny.

Okefenokee Swamp Park gift shop and ticket office Okefenokee Swamp Park, is located 12 miles south of Waycross, Georgia, United States. The Okefenokee Swamp Park is accessed by taking the Vereen Bell Memorial Highway (Highway 177 South, Okefenokee Trail) to the southern side of the Cowhouse Island. This is the northernmost entry point to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. The Okefenokee Swamp is the most extensive blackwater swamp in North America and covers over 438,000 acres.

Cowhouse Beck and Bonfield Gill meet at the end of Lund Ridge at Coning's Birks in Hag Wood to form the Riccal. The river meanders south and south-east through woodland, passing the villages of Carlton and Pockley. It emerges into open countryside to the east of Helmsley and passes under the A170 and continues south towards Harome. Here it turns east south-east to join the River Rye at High Waterholmes in Ryedale just a half mile from the confluence of the River Rye and River Dove.

By 1884, the town had grown to include about 350 people, served by five general stores, two gristmills, two cotton gins, two saloons, a lumberyard, a blacksmith shop, and a hotel. Killeen expanded as it became an important shipping point for cotton, wool, and grain in western Bell and eastern Coryell Counties. By 1900, its population was about 780. Around 1905, local politicians and businessmen convinced the Texas legislature to build bridges over Cowhouse Creek and other streams, doubling Killeen's trade area. A public water system began operation in 1914 and its population had increased to 1,300 residents.

The manor was auctioned to colonel Berndt Aminoff in 1846. Upon his death, the manor passed onto his son Carl Fredrik Aminoff, who died childless during the Finnish Civil War in 1918 and bequeathed the manor to relative Claes Aminoff, who had the building renovated and the third floor rebuilt in 1935, restoring the original cubic form of the building. In 1992, Claes Aminoff's son Fredrik Aminoff had to sell the estate to the Åbo Akademi University Endowment due to financial problems. The foundation maintained the manor house as a museum available by appointment, and the estate's 19th century cowhouse was refurbished as a rentable space for functions and events.
