In 2010, when he chaired the City Council's Education and Neighborhoods Committee, Krekorian restored more than $1 million in rollover funding to neighborhood councils, arguing that a lack of funding "would not allow neighborhood councils what they need to meet their commitments." Krekorian is also known for listening to residents and providing top notch constituent services. He responds quickly and decisively when emergencies threaten neighborhoods and when residents are simply looking for assistance. His field office in North Hollywood is a neighborhood center of activity, outreach and information.

He was allowed to leave post just five days later, though McConnell maintains that no one helped him with his enlistment into or discharge from the reserves. According to McConnell, he struggled through the exercises at basic training and was sent to a doctor for a physical examination, which revealed McConnell's optic neuritis. McConnell did not attend NYU. From 1968 to 1970, McConnell worked as an aide to Senator Marlow Cook in Washington, D.C., managing a legislative department consisting of five members as well as assisting with speech writing and constituent services.

A graduate of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, Massachusetts, Consalvo matriculated to Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. Consalvo’s duties included researching and contributing to the development of state budgets, writing language, drafting budget amendments and developing state legislation.

Lloyd Monserratt (December 2, 1966 - January 9, 2003), was a political activist and Director of Constituent Services for the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials, where he trained a number of future Latino politicians. While studying at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1988, he was elected student council president. When he was subsequently ruled ineligible to hold office, the resulting campus unrest and demonstrations made national headlines and led to charges of endemic racial discrimination at the California public university. At the time of his death, Monserratt was chief-of-staff for Los Angeles City Councilmember Nick Pacheco.

At the University of Maryland School of Law, he served as an Associate Editor of The University of Maryland Journal of Race, Religion, Gender, and Class, and research assistant to then-Professor Tom Perez. Following his graduation, he was hired by Prince George's County, Maryland, first working as a law clerk and later as an assistant state's attorney. McDuffie later worked for Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton in both her local constituent services office and Capitol Hill office, where he drafted legislation. In 2008, he served as a trial lawyer in the civil rights division of the Department of Justice.

He is best categorized as having been a progressive populist. For example, he was one of the first and most outspoken opponents of the 2003 war in Iraq, and one of only 11 co-sponsors of the Kucinich Resolution to impeach President Bush. He bridged the ideological gap with a reputation for supporting many measures to improve integrity in government, by popular (in New York) advocacy of strong environmental protection, and by diligent constituent services. He sat on the powerful Appropriations Committee, a post which helped him to deliver federal support on programs important to his district.

He died after living in Leesburg, Virginia during the final years of his life. After leaving office, Anderson had played a key role in automating the administrative procedures in the constituent offices of the House of Representatives. His son, William, was the classic "early adopter" of mini- computer technology, the DEC PDP-11/70 specifically, and the two of them helped establish a timesharing company that offered members of Congress an opportunity to improve constituent services. The firm's offerings not only improved efficiency but also allowed members to deal efficiently with the tsunami of "interest group" postcards, then flooding the Hill.

In 2014, incumbent State Representative Ed Hooper was unable to seek re-election due to term limits, so Latvala ran to succeed him. He ran against veteran Christopher Shepard in the Republican primary, and campaigned on the experience that he gained while working for Hooper, noting that it "taught him the value of constituent services--helping individual citizens with their state government problems." Latvala ended up defeating Shepard winning 67% of the vote, and advancing to the general election, where he faced the Democratic nominee, Steve Sarnoff. Latvala defeated Sarnoff, winning his first term in the legislature with 53% of the vote.

Aaron Michlewitz is a Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives from the 3rd Suffolk District, within the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The 3rd Suffolk District encompasses the North End, Waterfront, Chinatown, South End, Financial District, Bay Village, Leather District, and parts of Beacon Hill, and Back Bay neighborhoods. Michlewitz was elected in a special election following the resignation of Salvatore DiMasi in 2009. Prior to the election, Michlewitz worked for the Former Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives Sal DiMasi as his Constituent Services Director from 2004 until DiMasi's resignation on January 27, 2009.

She worked as a poll worker in the City of Philadelphia from 1970 to 1976, as a social worker for the County of Philadelphia and as the Director of Constituent Services for the Philadelphia City Council from 1986 to 1987. She was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, District 181 in November 1987 and served through 1988. She was elected to the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 3rd district in November 1996 in a special election to succeed Roxanne Jones who died in office. She served until November 2016 when she retired from the Pennsylvania State Senate.

Mary Ann Shallcross Smith (born 1952) is an American educator and a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing the 46th District from 2 January 2009 until 4 January 2011. During the 2009-2010 sessions, she served on the House Committees on Constituent Services, Finance, Labor and Small Business. Shallcross Smith was defeated for reelection in the 2 November 2010 general elections to Jeremiah T. O'Grady. She went on to be the president and CEO of Dr. Day Care, and she founded the Business Owners of Child Care Association of Rhode Island (BOCA) in 2011.

She graduated with a B.A. from Baylor University, and after two years in Washington D.C., she went on to earn a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. She has worked many years for the community both as a volunteer as well as in public service. Clutterbuck has worked on federal legislative issues, including seven years as the District Director for Congressman William Reynolds Archer Jr., where her duties included overseeing constituent services and flood control issues for Texas's 7th congressional district. Clutterbuck was an active volunteer in her neighborhood Civic Club where she served as president for two years.

Since leaving elected office, she has worked in Russia and several Eastern European countries, in the fields of tourism and economic development. Hasara has also served on the boards of the World Affairs Council and the Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, and is the Secretary of the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation, as well as a member of the Rotary Club and the Junior League of Springfield.

Fernandez worked for Congressman Ed Pastor for twelve years, coordinating constituent services for the western portion of then Congressional District 2. While working for Congressman Pastor, Charlene spearheaded an effort that culminated in bringing a Veteran's Administration clinic to Yuma County for the first time in history; previously the Phoenix Veterans facility was the closest place for them to receive these services. Her experience led to her becoming a consultant for a software company that produced a Constituent Management System for the U.S. House of Representatives. Charlene later served Governor Janet Napolitano as a liaison for the Arizona Department of Environment Quality in Yuma County.

Edolo J. Giorgi- Created Illinois Lottery,' Chicago Tribune, Rick Pearson, October 25, 1993 He was also credited with Rockford area developments, including the BMO Harris Bank Center, the University of Illinois College of Medicine campus, the regional State of Illinois Office Building, the Belvidere Assembly Plant, and a legal clinic run by the Northern Illinois University College of Law. He prided himself on his constituent services and was known to pay their parking tickets on occasion to create the illusion of influence. Giorgi died in office October 24, 1993, of a heart attack. He was survived by his wife Josephine and their three daughters.

Sestak and his staff were recognized for their successful tenure and he was voted "The Most Productive Member of Congress." Sestak focused heavily on the constituent services his office provided the people of his district as he entered Congress just as the Great Recession began, homes were being foreclosed, and health care and other services were being denied as people lost their jobs and missed payments. During his four years in Congress from 2007 to 2011, Sestak's office handled 18,000 cases, between three to four times the number of the average congressional office. "Every person who has worked for me has been tremendous," he said.

After taking office, Broyhill developed a reputation for assisting federal employees, as well as constituent service that became legendary. A messenger came to his office every 30 minutes to pick up the Western Union telegrams his office would fire off to government agencies on behalf of constituents. Rice was defeated for reelection by Spencer E. Dickinson in the September 14, 2010 Democratic Primary by a margin of 52.8-47.2%. He was targeted for defeat by the Rhode Island Labor Movement after voting to cut pension benefits for workers. In 2011, Rice was appointed to the Rhode Island Democratic Party State Committee representing at-large Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district, serving until 2017.

This kind of leverage over the bureaucracy is a potent tool that appointed ombudsmen lack. Accordingly, to improve on today's 435 de facto ombudsmen—constituent services by overworked Congressmen—congressional reforms have been proposed that would approximate the legislative leverage now exercised by Congressmen, but in an office where the intra-bureaucratic troubleshooting duties are full-time.

In the 4th District, Art and his staff have served more than 8,000 neighbors through constituent services and outreach events.

Scarborough's co-host of Morning Joe and wife, Mika Brzezinski, called the president a "cruel, sick, disgusting person" for his tweets, and urged Twitter to remove Trump's tweets. Scarborough called Trump's tweet "unspeakably cruel". Lori Klausutis was a constituent services coordinator in one of Joe Scarborough’s congressional offices, located in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, while Scarborough was in Congress.

This has included interviews with sanctuary movement leaders, organizers, activists, and public officials; and "participant observation" with sanctuary movement organizations and sanctuary city policy advocacy groups. Part of this work has included conducting research in San Francisco City Hall and working as a constituent services staff member for sanctuary city law author District Supervisor David Campos. In this capacity, his participant observation work has included assisting undocumented city residents in seeking city services in a manner which itself was governed by sanctuary city laws. His sanctuary city- focused research has also included assisting a coalition of immigrant-serving non-profits and legal organizations called the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Defense Committee, now renamed FREESF in drafting and advocating for sanctuary city laws.

He answered that an Orthodox social conservative "would be pretty lonely because you don't have too many sources, because the vast part of our religious tradition talks about ... tikkun olam, helping others; it's the number one priority of faith". In 2009, Luchins offered a reporter writing about elections in New York's ultra- Orthodox Jewish communities example after example of cases where non-Jewish candidates (or non-observant Jewish candidates) who seemed likely to deliver services won out over religiously identified Jewish politicians. "Constituent services trumps personal biography every single time in the Orthodox Jewish community ... without exception," he observed.

As an example, Symington once formally requested a report from military sources regarding the possible existence of subterranean superhumans, which one of his constituents had become concerned about after reading a fiction book and mistaking it for non-fiction. In 1967 when Major League Baseball owners approved the move of the Kansas City Athletics to Oakland, California, he threatened legislation to revoke the league's antitrust exemption and vowed to support lawsuits challenging the legality of the reserve clause.

Unlike other committeemen and women, García used his office to provide constituent services, which helped him maintain his high-profile. García was also appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Water by Washington, a post he held from 1984 to 1986.
