James Ramsden was most probably born at Bolton, Lancashire (although the census records are inconsistent on this point). James Ramsden was one of several children of William Ramsden, an engineer. Roche (1848-1927), a lawyer and banker by trade, interviewed for a position at Rocky Mountain Fuel Company in 1906, then moved his family from Nebraska to Denver in 1907 to join RM Fuel, replacing company Secretary-Treasurer H.E. Timothy Killeen (10 May 1923 – 2 March 1993) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. A company secretary, Killeen stood at the 1969 and 1973 general elections but was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Artane constituency at the 1977 general election. O'Connor was born in Gravelmount House, a small country house in Castletown Kilpatrick, a parish located between Kells and Ardee in the north of County Meath in Ireland. Having obtained its authorising Act, the Company appointed its engineer, James Frazer, and a contractor, Bethell and Walton. Pevats, an external accountant, was the company secretary and nominal shareholder (1 share) in a company called Topp Engineering Limited. One day, the director of the company, Mr Allan Hebdon visited his firms accountancy firm, asking him to witness a loan agreement between the company and the Development Finance Corporation. In April 1937, Aer Lingus became wholly owned by the Irish government via Aer Rianta. The airline's first General Manager was Dr J.F. The first board of directors was listed as Brierley Edmondson (weaver), William Kippax (weaver), George Lane (builder), John Nuttall (glazer), Thomas Pickles (foreman), John Taylor (weaver), Whitaker Whitaker (weaver), and James Corrin (Headteacher, Haggate School) who became the first company secretary. The Blish Milling Company of Seymour, Indiana, founded by John Blish, son-in-law of the city founder Meedy Shields, shipped flour to Bainbridge, Georgia via the Georgia, Florida and Alabama Railroad. It arrived at its destination with water damage and the Blish Milling Company sued the railroad and the awarded judgment was upheld in Georgia Court of Appeals. The case was then appealed to the Supreme Court of the United States and set a Precedent. During this time, Blish Thompson, John Blish's grandson, was company secretary and sales manager.

Professor Joseph Gloag (1906 or 1907 - 21 April 1977) was a marketing theorist and Scottish nationalist political activist. Gloag studied at George Heriot's School and the University of London before working in Edinburgh, serving as company secretary at a grocers' firm from 1935 until 1952. Sir William Edward Knox OSJ, KSJI (14 December 1927 – 22 September 2001) was born in Kew, Victoria, Australia and was the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland representing the district of Nundah for the Liberal Party between from 1957 to 1989. The commercial potential was realised by a group of 'tradesman and sportsmen', who met in Aberdare in March 1908 and guaranteed a sum of £150 to form a Northern Union club. A further 40,000 shares of GB£1 each were issued during the 2005-06 accounting year, but the documents give no indication as to how or to whom the shares were distributed.
A matching block was built on the site of numbers 1 to 3 in 1939 and the scheme was finished in 1949 on numbers 4 to 5. By the mid-1930s a labour force of 500 was on the books and the firm was engaging in substantial building contracts. Around that time, Godfrey took over the building side of the business, leaving his father, already in his 60s, to concentrate on financial and property matters. Godfrey eventually succeeded his father as managing director in 1940 with Harold as Company Secretary. Mobilisation in World War II substantially reduced both the firm’s labour force and the demand for civilian work.
The station was built with two platforms, the up platform to accommodate eastbound services and the down platform for westbound trains. Star was introduced to pottery decoration through Alfred Powell’s painting classes at the Etruria Works of the Wedgwood pottery firm in England. She became a designer herself at the company during the early 1930s and created a number of patterns on bone china and Queen’s ware for Wedgwood. Her signature was a five-pointed star and the initials CW. According to the Wedgwood Museum, "Her bone china designs tend to be bold, and made extensive use of strong colours and platinum lustre". In 1937, Star married Frederic Maitland Wright, who later became the company secretary of Wedgwood and joint managing director with Norman Wilson.

Peter Namea Isoaimo (born 12 December 1969) is a Papua New Guinean politician. He has been a National Alliance Party member of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea since February 2014, representing the electorate of Kairuku- Hiri Open in Central Province. Isoaimo was educated at St. Mary's Primary School and Dela Salle High School in Bereina and the Mount Hagen Technical College. He was the company secretary of ENJO Limited, economic sector chairman of the Central Province provincial government, the Brown River Ward 17 councillor for the Hiri Local Level Government and the National Alliance Party co-ordinator in Central Province prior to entering national politics.

Three years later, he was appointed chief financial officer and company secretary of Pioneer Israel – one of the country's 100 largest companies – operator of concrete plants, quarries, asphalt plants and vehicles to transport raw materials for construction. Tapoohi was also involved in the activities of the parent company, Pioneer International, dealing with international financing, dividend planning, and acquisition of businesses, particularly during the privatization process in Eastern Europe. In 1996, Tapoohi was named chairman of the board Africa-Israel Investments Ltd.
Major changes were made for the 2002–03 season as only six players were retained. Born Ruth Löwenthal in Fürth (near Nuremberg) in 1924, Ruth Weiss emigrated with her parents and sister to South Africa in 1936 to escape rising German persecution. Too poor to study at a university, she became a self-taught expert on African economics by working her way up to company secretary at South Africa Mining and General Assurance Company, one of the few females in the upper reaches of the then-male dominated insurance industry. She taught herself journalism by assisting her partner Hans Leopold Weiss, an African correspondent in the 1950s for several German papers. The other more commercially minded directors who were by now Rattray and W.D. The name was considered to be more in keeping with the status of the company, as the Bill had proposed a branch to Newport, there to join with the Cowes and Newport Railway. However negotiations with that company over the arrangements proved impossible, so that although the proposal had appeared in the Bill, it was deleted before it was enacted. Starla (Mo Collins) is the Bluth company secretary that Gob hires as his "business model" in season two after seeing her at a boat show. Starla often proves to be quite incompetent as a secretary, and claims that she had an affair with producer Quincy Jones, a claim backed up with the display of several of his gold records along the walls of Starla's house but disputed by spokespersons for Mr. Jones. On trying to gain entrance to his grounds, she is supposedly attacked by guard dogs, and is subsequently treated for rabies. Near the end of Season 2, Buster and Starla have a brief relationship, which abruptly ends when Buster misses his old flame Lucille Austero.
In 1956, Gullick returned to England and took up a position as company secretary with The Guthrie Group, a company with concerns in rubber plantations in Malaysia. He left Guthries in 1962 and embarked on a legal career as a solicitor (he had entered Gray's Inn while on home leave in the early 1950s and qualified as a barrister, and was able to transfer to be a solicitor). In 1911, Wentz at the age of 34, was sent to Ponca City, to check on McCaskey's investments with the Miller Brothers 101 Ranch and E. W. Marland's 101 Ranch Oil Company. He was present on June 11, 1911 when that company's first oil well "Wilie-Cries-For-War" came in. Shortly thereafter, McCaskey gave Wentz a chance to join the 101 Ranch Oil Company as Company Secretary. Through his association with the 101 Ranch Oil Company Wentz became interested in the oil business and in a few years, with money provided by McCaskey and another partner, Joseph M. Weaver, Wentz began gathering lease land in Northwest Kay County and soon the McCaskey-Wentz Company was developed.
The influx of money and the resultant yield of gold at Gympie were reflected in the redevelopment of upper Mary Street during the 1880s and 1890s with substantial commercial buildings such as banks and company secretary and brokers' offices. Several fires - in 1877, 1881 and 1891 - razed the earlier timber buildings in upper Mary Street and accelerated this transformation. A fire in January 1891 destroyed all of the buildings between the Gympie Times offices and the Mining Exchange Hotel which lead to the construction of more permanent masonry buildings on the eastern side of upper Mary Street. The last of the new buildings erected was the Royal Bank of Queensland, located adjacent to the Gympie Times office.
Alfred Butt was born in London, the son of solicitor Alfred Beyfus whose forebears had migrated from Hamburg to Glasgow and London, and educated at Emanuel School before entering employment in the counting-house of Harrod's department store where his uncle, Edgar Cohen, through the Beyfus family was a director.Smith, Alhambra Glasgow He subsequently joined the Palace Theatre, a music hall in Cambridge Circus, London, largely controlled by the Beyfus family and associates. He became company secretary of the Palace Theatre Limited in 1898, at the young age of 19. He quickly advanced to the position of assistant manager, and when Charles Morton retired in 1904, he became manager of the Palace.

Walther Eduard Hermann Neye was born, the youngest of three children, at the start of the twentieth century in Arnsberg, a prosperous mid-sized town in central western Germany. Basil Arthur Helmore OBE (28 February 1897 - 4 November 1973) was an Australian solicitor and businessman. Born at Newcastle to company secretary Ernest Arthur James Helmore and Gertrude, née Allbon, he attended local state schools and in 1913 was first in the state in French and Latin for the Leaving certificate. He became an articled clerk with Sparke & Millard in 1914 but suspended his articles to enlist in the Australian Imperial Force (5 September 1916), in which he became a gunner. After training in England he was sent to the Western Front with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade in August 1917; in October 1918 he began work with the AIF Education Scheme and returned to Sydney in June 1919.
He returned to Nigeria in 1963, where he joined the Ministry of Justice in the Eastern Region of Nigeria, until 1967 when the Nigerian Civil War broke out and he joined the Biafran Army, rising to the rank of major. Keazor joined the Nigerian Board of Inland Revenue as a legal adviser in 1969, and then the Ministry of Justice as Principal State Counsel. He worked in the Nigerian Civil Service in several capacities but most notably as counsel to the Government of Nigeria in the massive joint venture Warri Refinery project. He retired from the Federal Civil Service as Deputy Solicitor Generalm and joined Cadbury PLC as legal counsel and company secretary In 1981.
Sayed-Khaiyum was born and raised in Suva, and was educated at Marist Brothers High School. He has a master's degree in law from the University of Hong Kong, a bachelor's degree in law from the University of New South Wales, a graduate diploma in legal practice from the University of Wollongong, and a bachelor's degree in political science from the Australian National University. He was a former senior legal officer in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Sayed-Khaiyum was the General Manager Legal and Compliance and was the Company Secretary in the Colonial Group of Companies for five years immediately prior to his appointment in the Interim Government by the President of Fiji.
By September 1854 the works had advanced sufficiently for the EGR's joint company secretary, Mr W. Sanusi Ado served in the Kano State Ministry of Justice as a state counsel from 1985 to 1987; and in 1986 founded a private practice Lamido & Co. in Kano, before becoming legal adviser and company secretary of Kano State Investment and Properties between 1988 and 1989. He was the director general of the Kano State Council of Chiefs from 1991 to 1993, and was later transferred to be the head of Special Duties of the Kano State Government between 1993 and 1996. The outcome of the EGM was a decisive victory for King's consortium with Derek Llambias and finance director Barry Leach being voted off the board and King, Paul Murray and John Giligan moving in. Both King and Murray subsequently applied to be passed as a fit and proper person by the SFA with the later being cleared at the beginning of May. Further board appointments were made with John Bennett and Chris Graham added to the Plc board as non-executive directors and James Blair was appointed company secretary, however, Graham resigned his directorship only three days later. On the same day as the appointments Rangers suspended Llambias, Leach and Sandy Easdale from its football club board pending an internal investigation.

As Gympie evolved from a hastily established mining settlement, the early makeshift structures of the 1860s gradually gave way to more permanent and substantial public and private buildings from the mid 1870s. The success of deep reef mining from 1875 was reflected in the redevelopment of upper Mary Street during the 1880s and 1890s with substantial commercial buildings such as banks and company secretary and brokers' offices. Several fires – in 1877, 1881 and 1891 – razed the earlier timber buildings and accelerated this transformation.
The position of the new offices in relationship to the existing Burns Philp and Company building on the other side of the intersection may have been taken into account in the design, so that two company buildings harmonious in scale and design formed a gateway to the Burns Philp wharves on Ross Creek beyond. The North Queensland Insurance building originally provided space on the ground floor for the resident company secretary, the manager, public offices, a strong room and stationery room. It was understood that during the early part of the second World War, Arthur Schneider went to America because of the connotation with Germany that his surname gave. Henry's health deteriorated and Arthur (Harvey) carried more of the responsibility of running the factory aided by Doris Eagles one of Henry's four children. Henry, known to most of us as 'Harry' died in 1942 and his brother, my father, known as Mr. Harvey, continued to manage the business, which by now was manufacturing munitions' parts. At the end of the war, Henry's two sons, Harry and Ernie, who had served in the armed forces, joined Crescent along with their younger brother Frank and they together with their sister Doris, the Company Secretary held the controlling interest.
In 1670, the King approved the charter for "The Governor and Company of Adventurers of England trading into Hudson's Bay" that would form the Hudson's Bay Company, which was granted a trading monopoly in the whole Hudson Bay watershed area, an immense territory named Rupert's Land, with Rupert appointed the first Governor. Rupert's first company secretary was Sir James Hayes and Radisson named the Hayes River, in present-day Manitoba, in his honour. The company continued to prosper, forming the basis for much of the commercial activity of colonial Canada. The success of Shaftesbury Park led to the construction of Queen's Park, built in 1874 on a far more ambitious scale on of land to the west of London, adjacent to the newly opened Westbourne Park station, purchased from All Souls College, Oxford. A third London estate was planned at Cann Hall, and a site of was purchased. However, the Queen's Park project suffered serious mismanagement and fraud; the company secretary William Swindlehurst and two others were found guilty in 1877 of defrauding £9,312 (approximately £ today) from the project.

Chan was born and educated in Hong Kong. He received an MBA from Northeast Louisiana University in the United States. He started his career in a travel firm and entered banking in 1992, dealing with syndicated loans at Nanyang Commercial Bank before joining the Bank of China (Hong Kong). He went on to become the board secretary and company secretary of the BOC Hong Kong (Holdings) on 1 April 2011. In 2016, Chan became the vice-chairman of the Chinese Banking Association of Hong Kong which was founded by 32 mainland banks with a presence in Hong Kong to spearhead banking policies and seek to create opportunities related to China’s 13th five-year plan and One Belt One Road objectives.
Financial problems were experienced in 1985 due to the decline in the market price for diskettes, the poor performance of the pound against the dollar, the increasing costs of equipment, the delay in the construction of the Cwmbran factory and late funding by the WDA. An internal investigation carried out by the company secretary discovered that £2 million of the ECSC loan was missing from the Parrot accounts. Due to this irregularity, Peters was fired by the company and subsequently arrested and questioned by the British police regarding the missing funds. The £2 million of the ECSC loan was actually deposited in the Northern Trust Bank as collateral for the loan guarantee, a fact unknown to the WDA and the company investors.
That situation did not change on the company reorganisation in 1912, because although Thomas Holloway was joined as director by his sons Henry T and Ernest C, and Henry by sons Roland and Herbert (Dick), the only other director was Charles Byworth, the original company secretary. It was after the death of the founding Thomas in 1914 that WH Stacey and GF Palmer, recruited from John Aird & Co in 1912 and 1915, slightly diluted the family's control when they joined the board in 1917. On Sir Henry's death in 1923 chairmanship passed to Samuel, the sole surviving member of the founding generation who remained with the firm. One year later, new proposals were published for a line through Steyning, following the line put forward by Stephenson in 1844 for the LSWR. According to a memorandum published in Steyning on 5 September 1857 by John Ingram, the company secretary of the Steyning Company, a new enterprise called the "Shoreham Horsham and Dorking Railway Company" would promote an independent scheme supported by local landowners and residents. The new company engaged the services of Joseph Locke as chief engineer and Thomas Brassey as principal building contractor, both giants in their respective fields. Hearing of the new proposals, the LBSCR reacted by applying for Parliamentary authorisation for a new line from Shoreham-by-Sea to Steyning and Henfield with an option of an extension to its Mid-Sussex Line at Billingshurst.
A means of reducing the capital required for the line to £22,000 was found with the help of G. B. Wieland of the North British Railway, in 1884, but even so share subscription was not forthcoming, and on 30 April 1889 the company's Parliamentary deposit of £2,400 was forfeited. Its plight moved Sir James Percy Miller, 2nd Baronet, who lived locally and was a director of the North British, to take shares, as did Lord Tweeddale, and Wieland became Company Secretary. A working agreement with the NBR was confirmed, and construction of the 2.97 mile line began in July, from a junction at Burnmouth, running parallel to the main line for half a mile before turning coastward. An ill-timed explosive blast at the junction works almost derailed the Flying Scotsman on 24 October.

In a comment to the Finnish Broadcasting Company, Secretary of the Centre Party Timo Laaninen condemned the action as "a serious violation of the democratic order that would be met with harsh countermeasures", as volunteers hoped to restore the billboards by the morning of 13 April. In an official statement, Minister of Justice Tuija Brax of the Green League condemned the acts of vandalism as both alarming and illegal and urged citizens to report all vandalism to the authorities so as to allow the parties to replace the boards and bring the culprits to justice. Other parties also joined the Centre Party's concern that election billboards were being repeatedly vandalised, bringing unwelcome expenses especially for the smaller parties. The Centre Party lodged an official complaint against the vandalism with the police.

The September issue of Success magazine featured an article by Ruth White Colton, who, posing as a widow, was hired on at the A. Nash Company under the alias of "Hattie Clark." She spent two weeks as an undercover factory worker, journaling her experiences—one of which was witnessing, along with a thousand of her co- workers assembled in the plant's cutting room, the marriage of Nash's son, William, to the company secretary, Bertha Fisher. About six months prior to Colton's journalistic investigation, a man by the name of John Sydell held up and robbed the A. Nash Company cashier of the plant's weekly payroll. When he was pronounced guilty, concern for Sydell's wife and four young children prompted a discussion between Nash and his employees on how they might be of service to the family.
Fresh Radio was launched 4 May 1997 as Yorkshire Dales Radio with the strapline "May the fourth be with you". The station was re-launched in 1999 as Fresh AM, with a slight change of name two years later to Fresh Radio pending the introduction of FM frequencies. Typically for this branch line, a Yardley/Smith type 1 brick signal box opened here in 1876, situated on the Down side north of the station, containing an 18 lever Smith frame. This box was replaced in Jan 1904 by a new 60 lever, gantry-mounted size 12 L&YR; box, in connection with the quadrupling of the line through to Waltons Siding 1453 yds to the north. The colliery had made an operating loss in 1933, and the pit manager, William Bonsall, is thought to have been under pressure from the Dennis family to increase profitability. Henry Dyke Dennis was reputed in the Wrexham district to be a forceful individual who had more control of the pit than the manager. Bonsall was not a trained mining engineer and at Gresford the role of mine agent, which would normally be held by a technically experienced person with authority to stand up to both manager and owners, had for some time been temporarily filled by the company secretary since the retirement of the previous agent Sydney Cockin. Gresford had previously had a good safety record, but there were suggestions that in the two years Bonsall had not had Cockin to help him the pit's management had come under increasing commercial pressure.

After serving ten months Freeman was released from prison and set about preparing for the case of the second raid in relation to the video "The Videx Video Show". Freeman was charged under The Obscene Publications Act and Protection of Children Act, as images of children taken at a naturist park were featured (although in a separate scene to any pornographic content). In case documents, while admitting to starring in the film "The Videx Video Show", Honey refused to comment on or confirm his involvement in Videx and retained the services of Sullivan's solicitor, whom Sullivan paid for. Having called film critic Derek Malcolm as a witness who classed the film as "harmless erotica" and successfully demonstrating that the film was not obscene, Freeman, Honey, Freeman's girlfriend and company secretary Sara Bhaskaran, and silent business partner John Edward Currey were found not guilty under the Obscene Publications Act.
The directors set up a sub- committee to look into allegations of mismanagement, but before it could report the financial management of the company was attacked at the half-yearly shareholders' meeting. Soon after the turn of the millennium, the current Orangun of Oke-Ila Orangun in Ifedayo Local Government area of Osun State, Oba Adedokun Abolarin was installed on December 8, 2006. Oba Adedokun Abolarin is from the Obasolo Ruling House, one of the three ruling houses among which the title rotates in Oke-Ila Orangun. The new Òràngún of Òkè-Ìlá, Oba Adedokun Abolarin is a highly educated professional, holding a law degree, after a master's degree in International Relations, following a bachelor's degree in Political Science, all from Obafemi Awolowo University (formerly University of Ife). Until his installation, the new Òràngún of Òkè-Ìlá, Oba Adedokun Abolarin, a professional lawyer licensed to practice law in the Supreme Court of Nigeria, was the principal partner of Dokun Abolarin & Co., a firm of Solicitors and Legal Consultants, which had served as Company Secretary to various corporations among whom are Tell Publications (Publishers of Tell Magazine), Pacific Holdings, Peachtree Communications Ltd, Sportsmark International and Springtime Development Foundation.
Livesey was born at Canonbury Terrace, Islington, London, first of the three recorded children of Thomas Livesey (1807–1871) and Ellen Livesey (born Ellen Hawes, 1806–1886). His father accepted a position with the company which became the South Metropolitan Gas Company in 1839. The Livesey family had a home near the company; Livesey and his brother, Frank, grew up with a familiarity with the company and its gas works. In 1848, he joined the South Metropolitan Gas Company, working as an assistant to his father. He was promoted to "general manager" in 1857 and to "Engineer" in 1862. Following his father's death in 1871, he resigned from his position as a company employee, and shortly afterwards was elected company secretary by shareholders. Livesey held the two positions from the time of his father's death until 1882, when his brother, Frank, succeeded him as the company's chief engineer. In 1885, he became chairman of the board.
Leopold Schmidt, a German immigrant from Montana founded The Capital Brewing Company at Tumwater Falls on the Deschutes River in the town of Tumwater, near the south end of Puget Sound. He built a four-story wooden brewhouse, a five-story cellar building, a one-story ice factory powered by the lower falls, and a bottling and keg plant and in 1896, began brewing and selling Olympia Beer. In 1902, the firm became Olympia Brewing Company, with Frank Kenney as the Company Secretary. It was Frank Kenney who proposed the slogan "It's the Water" to promote the brewery's flagship product. Statewide Prohibition, which began in January 1916, four years before National Prohibition, ended beer making operations. The C&W;'s passenger engine was undergoing repairs, and instead the Cocker goods engine was used. Tosh had recently modified this from an 0-4-2 to an 0-4-0 to better enable it to negotiate the curves in the coal sidings; as with engines he had similarly modified on the M&C; he had advised caution in its use. On the return journey from Cockermouth, when crossing the Stainburn viaduct, the engine developed oscillations which spread the track, and the train derailed (but fortunately did not leave the track until back on dry land; only the fireman, and the company secretary (who was on the footplate) were seriously injured). The subsequent report by Captain Tyler of the Railway Inspectorate identified multiple failings: the viaduct was too flexible (because of too light a construction), and a skew one, which encouraged oscillation of the engine, the short wheelbase of the modified engine allowed the oscillations to be violent, and the permanent way insufficiently robust (both as built, and even more so after a failure to adequately maintain it) to withstand the oscillation.
