This interchange also includes access between the Bayshore Freeway, which carries US 101 to the south, and the one-way pair of 9th and 10th Streets. As it approaches the end, US 101 exits onto Mission Street to access Van Ness Avenue, which it follows north to Lombard Street and the Golden Gate Bridge. The remainder of the freeway is signed as exit 434B from US 101, and comes to the surface at Market Street and Octavia Boulevard, the latter continuing north to Oak and Fell Streets, a one-way pair west to Golden Gate Park.

Though she "acts as televisual wish fulfillment, a touching melancholy comes to the surface ... suggesting that (she) doesn't consume with such hearty gusto out of a simple lust for life but from a need to fill the void inside her". Series creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge explained how her crafting of Villanelle's character resulted from continually asking, "What would you do if you weren't afraid?" Waller-Bridge endorsed that "Villanelle does have fun, choosing to only do things that might bring her joy"—from selecting haute couture to contriving murder techniques—a fearlessness that is a perfect counterpoint to the self-consciousness and guilt that cripples Eve in the first season. Actress Jodie Comer described her character as a free spirit, not self-conscious at all, likening Villanelle during her acts of murder to a cat playing with a mouse before going in for the kill.

Limestone is made up of the mineral calcium carbonate, and as water passes through limestone, it dissolves the calcium carbonate (this is what makes hard water and causes mineral deposits on the inside of kettles) as the calcium carbonate comes out of solution when the water is heated. Something rather similar happens in turloughs; water that has picked up a lot of calcium carbonate during its underground travel rises in the turloughs and then some of the calcium carbonate comes out of solution and forms a white deposit. If a turlough has emptied recently, a whitish coating on the vegetation on the turlough floor may be visible. When water comes to the surface in a turlough, it loses carbon dioxide back to the atmosphere and to plants, which use it for photosynthesis, and this loss causes a deposit of calcium carbonate on the surface.
