Later that night, Wile E. sneaks in to unlock the lock, but Bugs (reading a book) seems to be prepared for this when he hears the coyote unlocking the lock, and he throws an "emergency" banana peeling to the bottom of the ladder from a glassbox (Label: In case of coyote, break glass). Surely enough, as Wile E. descends down the ladder, he slips and throws himself off a cliff through a "Coyote Disposal Chute". Morning then comes, and Bugs is busy preparing his breakfast.

Cardano partially invented and described several mechanical devices including the combination lock, the gimbal consisting of three concentric rings allowing a supported compass or gyroscope to rotate freely, and the Cardan shaft with universal joints, which allows the transmission of rotary motion at various angles and is used in vehicles to this day.

Cunningham commissions the construction of an impenetrable vault door on his family tomb, with a complex combination lock as the only means of opening it; once he has captured his asphyx, Giles is under instruction to seal the asphyx inside, so that no one can ever set it free. Using an electric chair to slowly kill himself, Cunningham summons his own asphyx, however, Giles is only experienced in capturing an asphyx with two men, and is forced to rely on his fiancé (and stepsister), Christina, for assistance. Christina is horrified with the experiments, but agrees to participate when Cunningham tells her that he will give his blessing for the two to marry if they allow him to make them immortal. Theorising that imminent death, and not actual death, will summon an asphyx, Cunningham places Christina on a guillotine operated by Giles.

There is a short puzzle in a miniature village along a stream, called Twell Country. Skye's overwhelming debility is drowning, so the game involves much jumping over water hazards, especially prevalent in Ogmire.
