The Cooey 84 is a shotgun manufactured by the H. W. Cooey Machine & Arms Company in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada (later acquired by the Winchester Arms Company). The shotgun was sold as model number 84 until 1967, and (following acquisition by Winchester) as model number 840. The gun ceased to be produced in 1979. Today, the 84/840 is considered a collector's item to certain people who collect the Canadian-made firearms.

In recent years, Magical Pop'n has since become an expensive collector's item and one of the rarest Super Famicom titles, leading it to fetch high prices in the secondary video game collecting market.

Paintin' the Town Brown, which was compiled and mastered by the band, was meant to be the first Chocodog release. According to Melchiondo, once the album was completed, Elektra realized the sales potential of the CD and denied Ween the right to release it through Chocodog. Later, Ween released the first official Chocodog album, Live in Toronto. The limited- pressing CD, available exclusively through the band website, became an instant collector's item.

The album has become a collector's item since only 560 copies were ever pressed and it has never been made available since.
In 2005, MASSOB re-introduced the old Biafran currency into circulation. This sparked a lot of excitement at the time especially as one Biafran pound was said to exchange for two hundred and seventy naira at the border communities of Togo and the Republic of Benin. In his reaction, the then President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, likened the Biafran pounds to a collector's item and attributed its high exchange value to its relative rarity.

P. Fluid and the P. Fluid Foundation performed in clubs in and around New York City but never released an album. Shortly after leaving 24-7 Spyz for the second time, P. Fluid, now using the name Forrest Thinner, formed BlkVampires. The band released a five-song EP titled The Collector's Item through the Catch A Fire website. These five songs had previously been recorded by 24-7 Spyz and released on Temporarily Disconnected.
In the 1980s, The Jekyll and Hyde Portfolio was released on VHS by British home media distributor Intervision Video. This release has been called "one of the world's rarest" video releases, and is reportedly worth up to £1,000 as a collector's item. This 1927 edition of Barbed Wire was one of the cheapest Hall Caine novels ever published, costing a sixpence at the time. It also had an attractive dust jacket (uncommon for such cheap hardback books) which was reminiscent of the film. Touch is the debut album by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, released in 1988 and then re-released in 1989. The album was originally released in 1988 by Nettwerk. McLachlan later signed to Arista Records internationally (although remaining on Nettwerk in Canada), and a revamped version of Touch, with several remixed songs and a new track, was released in 1989 on both labels. The original 1988 release was discontinued by Nettwerk, and is now considered a collector's item.

The company decided not to remove these CDs from circulation, but to wait for them to be sold completely before correcting the error. Today this release is a valued collector's item. Conspicuous Only in Its Absence is an album by the American psychedelic rock band The Great Society and was released in 1968 by Columbia Records. The album consists of recordings made during a live concert performance by the band at The Matrix club in San Francisco in 1966. Additional recordings from the same concert were released later in 1968 on the album How It Was. These two albums were repackaged in 1971 as a double album called Collector's Item.

However, the album is now considered to be a collector's item. In an attempt to promote Los Chulos Son Pa' Cuidarlos, he performed at strip clubs, playing short sets between acts.
In retrospective coverage, Sapphire is considered one the best PC Engine shoot 'em ups. Although the gameplay was found to be average, critics concluded that the graphics and sound were of such incredible quality that they made up for any shortcomings in the game mechanics. Sapphire was produced in low numbers at the end of the PC Engine's lifespan and subsequently became a rare collector's item. The game's value soared to hundreds of dollars and lead to counterfeiting in the mid-2000s.

Sonic the Hedgehog was initially released for the Game Gear Sega released the 8-bit Sonic for the Game Gear on December 28, 1991. The Master System version launched around the same time, although the precise date is unknown. In Europe, the game was built into later versions of the Master System, while in North America, it was the console's swan song. The Master System had failed to gain a foothold in North America, so its version of Sonic became a collector's item.
The producer – who deplored the shift from large Slavonian casks to small French oak barriques – even created a special hand-painted "No Barrique, No Berlusconi" label. Dead Child Stars is an EP by Canadian indie rock band Stars, released in 2003 on Paper Bag Records. It was released as a special collector's item available only on the band's 2003 concert tour, and was not sold in stores, except as a bonus item available with pre-order of Heart from HMV Canada's Web store. It contains two tracks from the band's album Heart, one of which is an alternate version edited for radio play, and two non-album tracks.
The band was created in 1999 with the transformation of the solo album Joelma into Banda Calypso, Volume 1. The beginning of the band was difficult because, even with many contacts and the influence that Chimbinha exerted in the Pará music scene, music producers were reluctant to sponsor the CD of this new band. He was one of the greatest tenor singers in history" Vern and Ray recorded one studio album, Sounds From the Ozarks, on the Old Homestead label; which is now considered a collector's item.

As such, the physical single is now a rare collector's item for fans of his. The song received limited airplay on the radio due to profanity in the lyrics towards the end of the song. Being outside of the canonical restrictions, Bloodstained Oz makes the Land of Oz a nightmare for adults instead of a children's story. Both first editions of Bloodstained Oz were sold out very soon after publication, and there are no current plans to reprint it by Earthling Publications or any other publisher. Being an Oz related book and a horror novel have made it a collector's item.
Kontraritam (The Counterbeat) is the first and only studio album by the Serbian 2 tone ska band Kontraritam, released by Jugoton in 1982. The album is the first ska studio album in former Yugoslavia. It was never rereleased and is today considered a rarity and a collector's item. The track from the album, "Žožo, vrati se ", appeared on the Jugoton various artists compilation Vrući dani i vrele noći, and the track "Sretne noge" appeared on the various artists compilation Niko kao ja - jugoslovenski novi talas in 1994.
Mass-produced calculator watches appeared in the early 1980s, with the most being produced in the middle of the decade. Their popularity began to fade in the mid 1990s with the introduction of cheaper mobile phones and PDAs which could perform the same functions while being compact. The calculator watch is now a collector's item and notable watches such as the Timex watches and some special variants of Casio Calculator watches such as the CFX-400 command a high premium in the used market.
When French label MSI Distribution wanted to re-issue Fact and Fiction on CD, they did talk to drummer and archivist Brian Devoil about it, but, as was the case with their Live at the Target re-issue, released it before a formal contract was made and signed. The songs "We Are Sane" and "Creepshow" from this release are included on the compilation album Collector's Item. The official CD was released in August 2002 with seven bonus tracks and again in June 2018 with 31 bonus tracks.
The different spellings of Gay Divorce (Broadway play, 1932) and The Gay Divorcee (film, 1934) are not a typographic error. When the film was made, film censors objected to the description of a divorce as "gay" (in the traditional meaning of the word – happy, cheerful). Hence, the title change. 3 Skulls of the Toltecs is a point-and-click graphic adventure game designed by Revistronic to run under DOS (and a rare version under Windows 9x) and published by Time Warner in 1996. Today it is playable using ScummVM emulation software. The game features 3rd-person perspective, inventory-based puzzle solving, and side-scrolling cartoon graphics. Phillips was a founding member, guitarist and songwriter for the obscure Hampton Grease Band, which formed in 1967. Their double album Music to Eat was released on Columbia Records in 1971 and went on to become a much sought after collector's item. It was also cited as an influence by later groups like Widespread Panic, Phish, and Pere Ubu. In 1996, it was rereleased by Sony to a great deal of acclaim (In June 1996, Spin magazine gave it a 9 out 10 "Near Perfect" rating).

From the early 1980s to the late 1990s, Jones performed with the experimental post-punk band Fifth Column, playing drums, guitar and background vocals, and was one of the co- founders of the group.

Lara's annual Christmas compilation of the year's best tracks and early Mexican Institute of Sound songs became a collector's item in a niche market. She performs all parts on the album, with diverse instrumentation including percussion, marimba, gong, reed organ, bells, ocarina, vibraphone, piano and glass Coca-Cola bottles. The album was not commercially popular upon release, but became a collector's item in the late 2010s thanks to online sharing through YouTube and other sites. The album was reissued on vinyl and CD in 2017 and has been hailed as "mesmerizing" and an "ambient minimalist masterpiece".
When Hollywood Dun It died, he was suffering from severe health problems including testicular cancer. In his honor, there is now an NHRA award deemed "Hollywood Dun It." In 1998, Hollywood Dun It became the first reining horse to be made into a Breyer Horse Creation. The release came late in the PC Engine's lifespan and subsequently was printed in low numbers. White's first appearance on the television show Hell's Kitchen in 2007 caused the price of second-hand copies of his old cookbooks to spike. White Heat had been seen as a collector's item, but after the television show, the price increased to as much as £250 for a signed first edition. In 2008 it was recommended by television chef Michael Symon, writing for Women's Health, despite being out of print in America at the time. Arthur Potts Dawson described it as a "rock'n'roll cookbook" in an interview with The Independent in 2012.
The genus Aloe currently consists of over 400 species. The Day of the Robot is the third studio album by Buckethead. It is often referred to as his "Jungle" album due to the presence of UK "Beat Scientist" DJ Ninj, an occasional Bill Laswell collaborateur. The title "The Day Of The Robot" is most likely a reference to The Six Million Dollar Man episode of the same name, while "Flying Guillotine" refers to the character from Johnny Sokko's Flying Robot.

However, the song was later included as a bonus track on CD re-releases. The original Australian release featured a completely different cover, and "Hanky Panky" replaced "Shout" as track 9.
Another Love Song is the first studio album released by Irish band The Frames. In 1972 he founded Ghyczy + Co Design in Viersen and presented his first furniture collection. It was based on casting techniques which he transferred from plastics to metal.
The Kids Will Have Their Say is the debut album by the Boston hardcore punk band SSD. The album was released in 1982 as a split-release between Dischord and X-Claim records (catalog numbers X-Claim 1/Dischord 7½). The album was only pressed in 1,000 copies and never re-pressed, making it quite a collector's item. However, a bootleg version was made in the late 1980s, but the label names on the back of the sleeves are switched to Discord and Ex- Claim, making it easy to separate from the original pressing.

Daffy Duck, indulging in his comic book fandom in a sequence reminiscent of his earlier film The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, is reading a scary comic book called "Hideous Tales" (issue #176). In 2005, the New York City based band released their debut, self-titled album, compiling seven previously unreleased tracks as well as the five songs previously included on The Collector's Item EP. In 2010, the band released a follow-up ten-song EP/DVD titled Blkcula. A five-song release, titled The Devil's Music, followed in 2012. Also in 2012, Thinner was the creative director and publisher of a book titled The HarlequinX. The book, based on a short film and characters created by Thinner, was written by CJ Cassidy and edited by Hector Valle.
The album was originally released on cassette and LP. The American edition, released by Uni Records prior to its merger with the Decca and Kapp labels to form MCA Records, went out of print following the release of Newton-John's 1973 album, Let Me Be There, and became a rare collector's item. However, the original American edition of Let Me Be There features six tracks from If Not for You. The album was first released on CD in Japan in 1990 as part of the EMI PASTMASTERS series (Cat.# CP21-6074).
The Man Who Stepped into Yesterday (often abbreviated as TMWSIY) is a 1987 concept album written by Trey Anastasio, the guitarist and lead vocalist of the American rock band Phish, as his senior thesis while attending Goddard College. Composed in 1987, the thesis included an essay piece and collection of songs (recorded by Phish) relating an epic tale from the band's fictional land of Gamehendge. Though the album was recorded, it has never been released officially. Phish circulated the studio recording of the suite in 1987 and 1988 and it quickly became a collector's item.
With only 250 to 500 units having been manufactured, the cocktail version is a rare collector's item. In 1996, Next Generation listed the arcade version as number 83 on its "Top 100 Games of All Time", calling it "a perfect example of the three ingredients that all too often make a classic: Original concepts, quirky designs, and - above all - playability. With only three controls (left, right, and flap), Joust creates an entire world of elegant combat." Video game historian Steve Kent considered Joust one of the more memorable games of its time.
In 2002, he released another promotional CDR, the tracker-made "Eurogorilla 2002 Transmutation Kit". On this second CDR release were also included two of Luomuhappo's remixes of Finnish underground psy-trance artists, Huopatossu Mononen and Omituisten Otusten Kerho (O.O.K.). Luomuhappo's Eurogorilla 2002 Transmutation Kit was also the first release under Freakdance Records label name and the album has later become somewhat a cult classic and a true collector's item due to the small print of about 50 copies. In 2004, Freakdance Records released a CD album from Luomuhappo, titled Pog-O-Matic Pogómen 3000000.
K.K. Works 1998-2000 is a compilation of tracks by Kahimi Karie recorded in the title years. It was issued in 2001 by the Japanese major label Polydor. The songs are from the full-length albums K.K.K.K.K. and Tilt and the EPs Journey To The Centre To Me and Once Upon A Time (collaborations with Momus and The Olivia Tremor Control, respectively). The version of Momus' "Pygmalism" found on the K.K. Works album is taken from a remix CD issued with the rare multi-media collector's item K.K. Limited Edition 2000.
Both songs were released as singles in 1967, reaching No. 5 and No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 respectively. To capitalize on Grace's fame with the Airplane, Columbia Records released tapes of live performances by The Great Society on the 1968 albums Conspicuous Only in Its Absence and How It Was. All of those performances were recorded at The Matrix, a small nightclub in the Cow Hollow neighborhood of San Francisco, and its house band was the Airplane. These two albums were repackaged as a double LP titled Collector's Item in 1971.
The Warriors EP is an extended play by the rock group P.O.D.. It was released on November 17, 1998 as a transitional album from Rescue Records to Atlantic Records. Only 30,000 copies were ever made which made it a collector's item and very rare to find. The EP contains a message from lead singer Sonny Sandoval thanking the 'Warriors', P.O.D.'s following of fans, for supporting them throughout the years before signing with Atlantic Records. Though produced by Atlantic Records, the album was actually released by Tooth & Nail Records.
"Hunted Down" was released as a single in 1987 with a B-side titled "Nothing to Say", which can also be found on Screaming Life and the band's greatest hits compilation, A-Sides (1997). The single was pressed on blue vinyl as a limited edition with only 500 copies made, and has since become a Soundgarden collector's item. Oddly, "Nothing to Say", rather than "Hunted Down", appeared on A-Sides. Kim Thayil jokingly explained the replacement with "that's about the level of communication the band was at back then".
In a retrospective Virtual Console review, IGN's Lucas M. Thomas commended the gameplay depth and the detailed visual presentation. He acknowledged the difficulty, even on easy, but praised the game as one of the best examples of the niche shooting gallery genre. Mat Allen of Nintendo Life found the game to be an excellent example of what the Virtual Console is for: providing gamers chances to experience quality games that were overlooked in their time. He highlighted the release as providing a cheap option to play a game which has become an expensive collector's item.

The original Madrid cast album (starring Emilio Aragón) was released in 1984 by BAT Discos S.A. Now a collector's item, this Spanish language recording has never been released on CD. A French cast album (ZL 37467) starring Jean-Luc Moreau was released in 1981; it is unknown at this time if a CD version has been released. An Australian cast recording was released starring Reg Livermore by RCA Victor.
Innsmouth no Yakata was developed by Be Top and published by I'Max on October 13, 1995 in Japan for the Virtual Boy. It is loosely based on the H.P. Lovecraft novel The Shadow over Innsmouth, though the only relation between them is the presence of fish-like monsters. Akin to all other Virtual Boy games, it uses a red-and- black color scheme and projects two slightly different images in each eye hole to simulate depth. Its limited release and launch towards the end of the Virtual Boy's short lifespan has since made it a prized collector's item.
The first UK pressing featured the band name and the Atlantic logo in turquoise. When it was switched to the orange print later that year, the turquoise-printed sleeve became a collector's item. The album cover gained further widespread attention when, at a February 1970 gig in Copenhagen, the band were billed as "the Nobs" as the result of a legal threat from aristocrat Eva von Zeppelin (a relative of the creator of the Zeppelin aircraft). Von Zeppelin, upon seeing the logo of the Hindenburg crashing in flames, threatened legal action over the concert taking place.
Mendis appeared on the popular BBC television music programme Top of the Pops with his singing partner Sandra Edema in 1968 as guest artists with his song "Feel like a Clown". The B-side of the record "Rainbow Land" was the A-side in the States and today (2013), it has become a collector's item in the Psychedelic Rock community in the west. They were also featured with the song on Beat Club in Germany that year. Eugene Wright, bass player with the original Dave Brubeck Quartet, arranged and recorded five of Mendis's songs with only him playing bass.
Influenced by Elvis Presley's style heard on the radio, Adams formed a band in 1954 consisting of his brother Charles (guitar) and Curtis May (upright bass). Encouraged by local entertainer Luke Gordon, Adams went to Cincinnati in 1957 to record his composition "Rock, Pretty Mama", called by music writer Lorie Hollabaugh "a seminal Rockabilly classic". It was released on an independent label, Quincy Records, and the original 45rpm record is sought-after as a collector's item. Despite being exclusive to Japan, Twinkle Tale garnered mixed to positive reception from critics who reviewed it as an import title since its release and was commended for the detailed presentation, colorful visuals, gameplay and replay value but some of the reviewers felt divided in regards to the music and sound design. In recent years, the title has since become an expensive collector's item and one of the rarest in the Mega Drive library, leading it to fetch high prices in the secondary video game collecting market. The game has never been officially released outside Japan, although fan translations exist.
The small balls floated due to their nearly equal density to the surrounding liquid, and remained suspended with assistance from an ingredient known as gellan gum. The gellan gum provided a support matrix—something like a microscopic spider web—and had a visual clarity approaching that of water, which increased with the addition of sugar. The gellan gum created a very weak yield stress which has been measured to be ~0.04 Pa. The product's website was bought by the Internet-based travel agency named Orbitz. Unopened bottles from the drink's original launch have become a collector's item, appearing on online auction websites.
Joe Appleton (1900–1956) was a jazz saxophonist and clarinetist from the West Indies. Appleton moved to Britain in the 1920s, and he played in dance bands both there and on the Continent through the end of the decade. In 1934 he played in Leslie Thompson's Emperors of Jazz, and was leading his own band by 1937; he also worked with Jiver Hutchinson and Cyril Blake in the second half of the decade. He appears on the Rex Stewart release Muscat Ramble, which was released on Amiga Records (an Eastern European label), and which became a highly sought-after collector's item.
The game War and Peace by Mark McLaughlin – according to BGG listings his first published game – is a multi-player strategic war game from the early 1980s. "Mr Lincoln's War", a similar game of the American Civil War, was also published in the mid-1980s but is now a very rare collector's item. Since the year 2000 Mr McLaughlin has also published several card-driven games for GMT Games set in the Napoleonic period, including "The Napoleonic Wars" (another multi-player strategic game of the whole war), "Wellington" (on the Peninsular War), and "Kutuzov" (on Napoleon's invasion of Russia in 1812).
After the end of World War II, the popularity of Hummel figurines grew as American soldiers stationed in West Germany began sending the figurines home as gifts. Nostalgia associated with the figurines and the U.S. soldiers buying them led to Hummel figurines becoming a popular collector's item. Popularity increased even more when the figurines were sold by the Army PX system. As travel to Europe became more commonplace, the figurines, with their folkloric appearance, were often purchased as souvenirs.The M.I. A hand boiler or (less commonly) love meter is a glass sculpture used as an experimental tool to demonstrate vapour-liquid equilibrium, or as a collector's item to whimsically "measure love." It consists of a lower bulb containing a volatile liquid and a mixture of gases that is connected usually by a twisting glass tube that connects to an upper or "receiving" glass bulb. The warmth from the fingertips vaporizes some of the red liquid inside the tube, causing it to rise and bubble up into the top chamber as if the liquid was boiling.
In popular culture, hand boilers used to be sometimes known as "love meters" because the tube that separates the upper and lower bulbs is twisted into a heart shape and the volatile liquid is colored red. Love meters were a common collector's item or a souvenir. Depending on how the item was packaged, one would grasp the lower bulb to "prove" how passionate one was, or a couple would each grasp one end to see who would force the liquid into the other's bulb. "All Time High" spent four weeks at number one on the United States' Adult Contemporary singles chart and reached number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. The soundtrack album was released in 1985 by A&M; Records; the compact disc version of this release was recalled due to a colour printing error which omitted the credits from the album cover, making it a rare collector's item. In 1997, the soundtrack was re-issued by Rykodisc, with the original soundtrack music and some film dialogue, on an Enhanced CD version. The 2003 release, by EMI, restored the original soundtrack music without dialogue.
The album credits say it was recorded at American Recording Company in Studio City, California; however, the actual name of the studio was American Recorders. The background color of the original ABC LP cover was a silver "foil", in contrast to later (MCA Records) LP issues and the modern CD sleeve in which it is replaced by off white. It is the only album by the band to have been released in both stereo and mono configurations. Although the latter is simply a 'fold down' of the stereo mix, it is sought after as a collector's item.

It had the same precise engineering for control of friction, and central metal spring suitable for needles up to 3.5 mm. The basic Compact, however, had a central knurled grip- band, which made the gadget easier to hold and to turn quickly and precisely. The earlier version of the late 1950s to early 1960s had red numerals, and the later 1960s version had black numerals. The luxury version of the Compact was presented in a gift box, it was priced at a guinea and became a contemporary collector's item, tending to be little-used due to impracticality.

He later specialised in miniature pieces for book covers which included Bas-reliefs of Soviet leaders, including Joseph Stalin and writers, including Aleksandr Pushkin, Maksim Gorky, Gustave Flaubert, as well as medals, one of them depicting Vladimir Lenin lying in state. The medal is now a collector's item and a good example of the 1920s Soviet cultural propaganda.

This road was built along with Dusit Palace in the year 1898 during King Chulalongkorn (Rama V)'s reign to use as a route to travel to the Sam Sen railway station more conveniently. Later on February 6, 1919, which corresponds to the King Vajiravudh (Rama VI)'s reign, he ordered that this road be renamed like the other roads that surround Dusit Palace to make it more universal.
The final release before Summer's international breakthrough, "Virgin Mary" was not a big hit. This coupled with the fact that it was only released in one country has made the single somewhat of a collector's item. The song was featured on two LPs in Europe in the 1970s, being included on the Dutch release of Summer's "Love To Love You Baby" album (replacing "Full Of Emptiness," which was originally part of Summer's debut album) and also the Dutch/German-only "Greatest Hits" compilation in 1977.

Klein mastered use of 12 dialects in radio performances. Klein performed in a USO production of Blithe Spirit during World War II. Broadway shows in which she appeared included Double Dummy (1936), Brooklyn, U.S.A. (1941), Uncle Harry (1942), Collector's Item (1952), The Immoralist (1954), Once Upon a Tailor (1955), Jane Eyre (1958), and Marathon '33 (1963). Her film credits included The Naked City (1948) and The Enforcer (1951). She was signed to play the role of Martha in director Otto Preminger's Where the Sidewalk Ends and scenes were shot in New York City, but the role was ultimately played by another actress.
Upon its release, Nowhere But Up caused quite a stir within Oakwood University's rather conservative community. While a small number of the most conservative faculty members expressed discontent with the album's decidedly jazzy style, the project was highly celebrated by students, other faculty, and enthusiasts, both within the Oakwood community and around the United States. Only a few thousand copies of Nowhere But Up were pressed, and it is today considered a collector's item. As of 2010, there are discussions of a possible re-release of the album on the iTunes Store in 2011, the 30th anniversary of the group's formation.
Daff was the Officer in Charge of Exhibitions at Otago Museum, painting dioramas, reorganising and decorating the galleries, designing displays, posters, and producing guide-books. Daff was on staff at the museum for 12 years in total. Her obituary claims her chief contribution to scientific education was in the travelling cases which circulated throughout the museums of New Zealand, however now she is mostly known for her illustrations of New Zealand birds. Daff's line illustrations were considered by the Otago Daily Times to turn the newly published guide Introducing the Otago Museum into a "minor collector's item".
The album was originally released by Asylum in the LP format in September 1978 (catalogue number 155 or 6E-155). Subsequently, in 1990, Asylum released the album in the Cassette format (TCS-155) and in the CD format (2-155). In addition to the standard 1978 release, collector's-item editions of the LP were made in the same time period of the album in red vinyl (catalogue number K53085) and also of a picture disc (catalogue number DP 401) featuring a photograph of Ronstadt's lacing up the roller skating boots that she is wearing on the front cover (this photograph is also included on the record sleeve in the standard release).
When TTE returned to the WRC, TTE switched to the shorter Corolla based on the European E110 3-door liftback and the new World Rally Car regulations, although the ST205 continued to be used by some regional Toyota and private teams. For the WRC homologation requirements, the special edition of the GT-Four models were produced for the public in limited numbers, 5000 units. The ST185's homologation version is called the GT-Four RC in Japan, Group A Rallye in Australia, or Carlos Sainz Limited Edition (CS, after the driver) in Europe, and general markets.
She began her musical career at the age of 16, with the British progressive jazz rock band Fusion Orchestra, from 1969 to 1972. Jill Saward and the Fusion Orchestra gained a following of fans who secured a record deal with EMI music to produce their first album Skeleton in Armour, an album that immediately received critical acclaim upon its debut, and is now considered a collector's item which is highly sought after. After the band Fusion Orchestra split, Saward became involved in a new all female group, called Brandy. The band, produced by Polydor, was active for about three years in the UK and Europe, before disbanding in 1976.
The title of the book is derived from a collection of short stories penned by Vida Winter entitled Thirteen Tales of Change and Desperation; the collection was supposed to contain a total of thirteen stories but was shortened to twelve at publication. Though its title was appropriately amended and its cover eventually reprinted to read simply Tales of Change and Desperation, a small number of books were printed with the original title and the twelve stories. This small press run became a collector's item (one of which Lea's father holds). Many of Winter's fans considered the omission of the thirteenth story a delightful mystery, and all wanted the answer to it.
It included the stories "Superman Jr. Is No More!", featuring the Super-Sons, and "Letitia Lerner, Superman's Babysitter", among others. However, DC Comics President Paul Levitz deemed the Letitia Lerner story inappropriate (for featuring scenes depicting the baby Superman in a microwave, among others) and ordered the press run halted and the printed issues destroyed. However, around 2,000 copies of the issue had already been shipped to the UK. Although DC attempted to recall these copies, they quickly became a highly sought after collector's item (see Recalled comics for more pulped, recalled, and erroneous comics), and estimates of available copies range between 700 and 2,000.
In the United States, historic firearms do not need to be registered and are a popular collector's item, making them potential targets for theft. To deter theft museums may decide to remove the firing pin, thus making the gun inoperable and less desirable to thieves. When on display, firearms should be kept in cases made of acrylic, polycarbonate, or safety glass, and they should be locked or screwed shut. The first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was advertised in issues #1 and #2 of Eastman and Laird's 1984 comic, Gobbledygook, in addition to the Comics Buyer's Guide, issue 545. The full page advertisement in CBG helped gain the attention of retailers and jump- started their early sales. Because of the CBG's newspaper format, many were disposed of, making it a highly sought-after collector's item today. The book premiered in May 1984 at a comic book convention in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It was printed in an oversized, magazine-style format using black and white artwork on cheap newsprint and had a print run of only 3,275 copies.
Waves was a New Zealand folk rock band that recorded a top-selling self-titled album in 1975 before disbanding in 1977. Its lineup emerged from an acoustic trio, Rosewood, which originally included Geoff Chunn, who later joined Split Enz. Despite making only sporadic live appearances—one of which was a double billing shared with Split Enz—their singles gained major airplay on Auckland radio and the Waves album reached No.7 on the New Zealand album charts, later becoming a sought-after collector's item. In 1976 the band recorded a second album that was rejected by their record company, which later erased the tapes.
Recorded during the winter of 1968 and spring of 1969 in a DJM Records 8-track studio, Empty Sky is the only album in the early part of Elton John's career not produced by Gus Dudgeon, instead helmed by friend and DJM staffer Steve Brown. The album was released in the UK in both stereo and mono with the latter now being a rare collector's item. John plays harpsichord on several tracks, including "Skyline Pigeon", which John has described as being "the first song Bernie and I ever got excited about that we ever wrote.""Skyline Pigeon" track from "Here And There", Disc 1, Track 1.
Despite the favourable reviews, the single failed to sell in large numbers upon its release, however it was destined to become a collector's item over 20 years later. On 31 August 1978, the band was signed to Carrere Records by Peter Hinton, later to become the Producer of Wheels of Steel released in 1980 by heavy metal label mates Saxon. At the same time as the move of record company, the name was shortened to the Kidda Band. The Kidda Band's first live performance in London took place at The Rock Garden in Covent Garden on 1 September 1978 and five coaches of fans travelled from Nuneaton to support them.
Shake Off the Dust... Arise is the debut album by Matisyahu and was released October 28, 2004 by JDub Records. It fell out of print following his move to Epic Records, and would remain a collector's item until it was remastered and reissued in October 2010, sold exclusively through his official website. The album is now widely available as a digital download through standard retailers, albeit with slightly modified cover art. The album's name comes from the Hebrew liturgical poem "Lekhah Dodi" which is sung by most Jewish denominations in order to welcome the holy Sabbath, which in the poem is referred to as a bride.
Although not particularly successful, the doo wop group the Triangles recorded the single "My Oh My", which has become a valuable collector's item that sells for as much as $700. Markley produced all the sessions, provided his "trademark" bongos, and carries a writing credit for all the singles released (often in collaboration with Baker Knight). The label is well-known among WCPAEB followers for distributing the band's debut album Volume One in 1966. Recorded mostly before Markley was a band member, the album consists of a handful of cover versions of popular songs and some original material by the Laughing Wind, the group that developed into the WCPAEB.
It was released as a limited collector's item in cartridge form, complete with a box and manual published by the association Retro-Gaming Connexion (RGC) in 2013. The game engine was rewritten especially for the Atari Jaguar to make use of the console's several processors: the GPU and blitter perform polygon rendering; the GPU performs on-the-fly data decompression; the DSP plays stereo music and sound effects; and the 68000 CPU performs JIT compilation and execution of the scripts. The Jaguar version is playable in the original graphics 16-color mode and Deluxe 15th Anniversary graphics 256-color mode. It can be played in normal and speed-run modes.
He soon found out that the 12-inch single was being sold both in the United States and abroad as a high-priced "collector's item". Though Homestead claimed not to be selling copies, Albini telephoned one of the label's salespeople posing as a record buyer and was told that they would sell him copies, but not in Chicago. As a result of the deception, Albini and Big Black severed ties with Homestead and Dutch East India. Though the band was receiving lucrative offers from major labels, they chose to remain independent and signed to Touch and Go Records, Albini being good friends with label head Corey Rusk.
De Berardinis has continued to paint Bettie, and compiled a collection of this artwork in a book titled Bettie Page by Olivia (2006), with a foreword by Hugh Hefner. In 1976, Eros Publishing Co. published A Nostalgic Look at Bettie Page, a mixture of photos from the 1950s. Between 1978 and 1980, Belier Press published four volumes of Betty Page: Private Peeks, reprinting pictures from the private- camera-club sessions, which reintroduced Page to a new but small cult following. In 1983, London Enterprises released In Praise of Bettie Page — A Nostalgic Collector's Item, reprinting camera-club photos and an old cat fight photo shoot.
They recorded their first demo in the Arion studios in Pamplona with the money from their first performances, and took the name "Platero y Tú" that would become definitive. The demo, which they called Burrok'n'Roll, was edited with only a few copies, and now it constitutes a collector's item. In 1991 the Barcelonan label Welcome Records contacted them to record their first disc, Voy a acabar borracho in just one day at the Lin studios. The disc would not reach a high popularity, but nevertheless awarded them the attention from the multinational label DRO, with whom they produced Burrock'n'roll as their second album, in 1992.
After Stuart returned from a trip to the US in 2000 with a set of turntables, the two tried jamming together with Dubs playing keyboard, sans vocals. The combination worked so well that they realised they didn't need anything else, and Hermitude was formed. Signing with the Elefant Traks label, founded by The Herd, Hermitude released the vinyl-only Imaginary Friends EP in 2002.Hobart Mercury, 30 October 2008, "New kids on hip-hop block" The collection of esoteric instrumental soundscapes, with two vocal cuts provided by Urthboy and Ozi Batla, sold out and has never been transferred to CD, making it a collector's item.
Travel between golf tournaments became notably easier after Ferrier and his cohorts wound down their careers; players of his era mostly drove their cars. As airline service improved in the U.S. and around the world, and as tournament prizes rose greatly, later generations were able to save time and energy by flying between tournaments. As his success mounted, Ferrier helped to design a signature set of Wilson golf clubs; Wilson also issued a replica of Ferrier's putter – the Grandmaster – from his 1947 PGA Championship win; this putter is now a collector's item. He was made a member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame with its inaugural class in 1985.
The toy is a Japanese Kubrick figure produced by MediCom - a small, limited edition collector's item with a block-style human form similar to Playmobil or Lego. The head of the figure is a detachable block which features the sleeve design for REKIDS036 - Radio Slave - No Sleep (Part Six). After the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan in early 2011, Rekids decided to donate all proceeds of the sales of the toy to support Red Cross relief efforts in Japan. 2012 saw the launch of the 'Pyramids Of Mars' label - a multimedia project that involves the releases of books, films and other collector's items along with music.

Turner states that such products reflected means by which "American consumers found acceptable ways of buying and selling the souls of black folk" even after the abolition of slavery in the United States, and the use of black images in advertising "figured prominently in commodity capitalism". Today, the game is considered a collector's item. It is part of collectable black memorabilia, consisting of objects such as dolls, toys, and postcards that include those that are offensive or racist, even the "most contemptible examples" of such works. By 1993, there were about 50,000 black memorabilia collectors in the United States, about 70% of whom were African Americans.
Fallin' Off the Edge is a compilation album by the American garage rock band the Seeds, and was released on GNP Crescendo, in 1977. The first album of its kind to compile Seeds music, Fallin' Off the Edge includes rarities of the group's catalogue, alternate takes, and unreleased tracks. Among the songs available include the 1968 version of the hit "Pushin' Too Hard" without studio-created crowd noises, which was originally the closing track to the fake live album Raw & Alive: The Seeds in Concert at Merlin's Music Box. Although other Seeds compilations have been released over the years, Fallin' Off the Edge remains a collector's item and has been reissued.
Fallin' Off the Edge also marked the first time that the version of "Pushin' Too Hard", dubbed a "rehearsal", from the fake live album Raw & Alive: The Seeds in Concert at Merlin's Music Box was released without the studio audience noises. The tune was originally an alternative to the Seeds' hit, recorded in 1967. Despite other more extensive Seeds compilations emerging over the years, Fallin' Off the Edge remains a sought-after collector's item. The album was first re-released in 1980, and has since been issued on cassette in 1987, but has yet to appear on compact disc format as other band releases have been converted.
"Jackie Evancho: Chart History", Prometheus Global Media, accessed January 2, 2013 Nine of the songs on the album charted on Billboard's Classical Digital Songs chart. Evancho's parents withdrew Prelude to a Dream from distribution in late August 2010. Evancho's father, Mike Evancho, gave the following reason for the withdrawal: "Because the CD was recorded about a year and a half ago and her current voice no longer sounds like what it did then ... we decided to withdraw Prelude to a Dream and will be concentrating on new material as part of her progress." The CD has become a collector's item, and autographed copies have sold for more than $3,000.
This rare recording has since become a collector's item. As the artistic partnership between Dixon and Kirkland strengthened, the band personnel changed, with Mike and Jimmy leaving and being replaced by pianist Marty Stout and percussionist Ogie Shaw; with this change the music became more acoustic. Arrogance's debut album, the self-released, self-produced LP Give Us a Break , came out in 1973. A more acoustic folk style had, by then, replaced the early hard-rock, but the trademark vocals, harmonies and smart lyrics were very much in evidence. The sound became more upbeat when percussionist Ogie Shaw was replaced by drummer Steve Herbert and the result was Arrogance's second self-labeled LP, Prolepsis, coming out in 1975.
Messiah was recorded at the same time as Godflesh's 1994 studio album, Selfless, but only saw limited release until being reassembled and repackaged in 2003 after the band's dissolution. Regarding the EP, Broadrick said: Upon reviewing the shelved EP after touring in 1994, Broadrick and Green proved dissatisfied with the package. While going through the mixing process again in 1995 for the eventual 2000 fan club limited run, the development of the next studio album, Songs of Love and Hate (1996), took precedent, and Messiah was again forgotten. After Godflesh disbanded in 2002, Broadrick was asked by Relapse Records founder Matthew Jacobson, an apparent fan, to fully release the EP, which had become a sort of legendary collector's item.
Modern antique (an apparent oxymoron) can have various meanings. Since customs laws and dealers often stipulate an age of at least a hundred years for any item to be legitimately called an antique, the term is sometimes used to describe a collector's item that is technologically obsolete; for example, an older computer or retro toy. This term is also used to describe new objects designed to appear much older than they are, as with reproductions of old devices and furniture with a distressed (lightly damaged or artificially worn) finish. More rarely, modern antique may refer to an item from the modern era which is also old enough to qualify for the simple description antique.
Patty Hearst holding a sawed-off M1 "Enforcer" Carbine during her infamous bank robbery attempt. After World War II, the M1 carbine became a popular plinking and ranch rifle. It is still popular with civilian shooters around the world and is prized as a historically significant collector's item. The Carbine continues to be used in military marksmanship training and competitive target matches conducted by rifle clubs affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP). The M1 carbine can be used for hunting animals such as white-tailed deer and mule deer at close range (less than 100 yards), but is definitely underpowered for larger North American game such as elk, moose, and bear.
The Blue Notes' version on the album, "Wake Up Everybody" was not released as a single in the USA at the time, but proved to be the group's biggest hit in the UK (#5) when released there as a single in 1977. The track was finally issued as a single in the US on 12-inch in 1979, coupled with "Bad Luck". The group recorded four albums with Gamble & Huff, all of them going gold (over 500,000 copies), according to RIAA, including To Be True (#26, Billboard Top 40 albums) and Wake Up Everybody (#9), both in 1975. Wake Up Everybody and a greatest hits compilation released in 1976, Collector's Item, has now sold over a million copies.
Riverfenix is the first full-length album by Riverfenix, released on December 16, 1997 on Drive-Thru Records. Most of the album's songs were re-recorded for Fenix TX (released by both Drive-Thru and major label MCA Records), when Riverfenix was forced to change their name. This album has since been out of print and is a treasured collector's item among fans as "Skinhead Jessie", "Jaw" and the untitled tracks are not featured on the Fenix TX version release. "Apple Pie Cowboy Toothpaste" and "Jolly Green Dumbass" also featured short intros while "Rooster Song" had a slightly different sound and featured a small message within the silence leading into the second untitled track.
He was apparently involved in events in Eternia's past such as the building of The Three Towers, which is alluded to in some of the mini-comics that came packaged with the action figures. A second version of the character, 1986's Hurricane Hordak, with vac-metallized gold armor and an arsenal of spinning weapons, was released as a counterpart to the Flying Fists He-Man and Terror Claws Skeletor figures of the same year. The third action figure of the character, Buzz-Saw Hordak, has become a very rare and sought- after collector's item. This toy's rare existence can be attributed to it being released in 1987, which was toward the end of the toy series original run.
During 1994, Alchemist recorded a promotional tape to shop to record companies and a version of the Venom song "Black Metal" for a Swedish tribute album called The Promoters of the Third World War: A Tribute to Venom, now a collector's item. The band also began work on its next album, titled Lunasphere, which was released in 1995 by Melbourne label Shock Records through its subsidiary Thrust. Lunasphere showed a further development of Alchemist's unusual style, adding Eastern motifs and keyboards to its already diverse style. The track "Garden of Eroticism" was added to the Triple J compilation album This Is Twelve (ABC/EMI) in 1996 and both this song and "Yoni Kunda" became live staples.
For book scanning on a low budget, the least expensive method to scan a book or magazine is to cut off the binding. This converts the book or magazine into a sheaf of looseleaf papers, which can then be loaded into a standard automatic document feeder (ADF) and scanned using inexpensive and common scanning technology. While this is not a desirable solution for very old and uncommon books, it is a useful tool for book and magazine scanning where the book is not an expensive collector's item and replacement of the scanned content is easy. There are two technical difficulties with this process, first with the cutting and second with the scanning.
Some of the Vogue issues were re-releases of recordings originally issued by other companies. The colorful artwork on the records have made Vogue Records a collector's item. Two releases on the Vogue label have been the source of much collector debate over the years: the 1946 releases by the country swing group the Down Homers "Who's Gonna Kiss You When I'm Gone?" and "Boogie Woogie Yodel" have often been cited as featuring the earliest recorded performances by future rock and roll pioneer Bill Haley, who was a member of the group in 1946. However this rumor was later debunked by surviving members of the Down Homers as well as Haley researchers.
Mosher worked often with Bay-area pianist John Marabuto and drummer John Markham and the three musicians became known locally as the JM Trio. The tight team of Mosher, Marabuto and Markham became the nucleus for the Brew Moore Quintet and together backed Moore on most of his recording sessions in 1957 - 1958 that were subsequently released on LP under the eponymous title Brew Moore in 1958. This album, which contained some of Moore's finest work, and is one of his few recordings, became a rare commodity after Moore's untimely death in Europe, and copies of the LP became a collector's item for jazz aficionados for many years. It was re-released on CD in the early 2000s.

Fisher's distinctive appearance, thick Brooklyn accent, and larger-than-life tales of prostitution, drug binges, larceny, botched abortions, and lesbian jailhouse encounters, turned her into a cult figure in the late 1970s, with bootleg videos of her speaking engagements becoming a collector's item in the 1980s. Among those who saw The Trip Back were Stephen Colbert and Paul Dinello, who noticed a resemblance between Fisher and their friend Amy Sedaris. The two men showed Sedaris a copy of the video and, suitably impressed with an impression that Sedaris did of Fisher, they then created a television series based around the concept of Florrie Fisher going back to high school as a student. The result was Strangers with Candy.
Once he was able to return to the air, Brudnoy announced the creation of a fund to fight AIDS. His illness inspired him to publish his autobiography; at the time, it was not a best-seller, but after he died, it became a collector's item, since his publisher had originally let it go out of print and now many of his fans wanted copies of it. In September 2003, he was diagnosed with Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare form of skin cancer. After hospitalization and treatment, including another period of being considered near death, the cancer went into apparent remission, and Brudnoy returned to work, with a strained voice, in March 2004.
Together, Jim, John, Ron and Bob sang at the Royal Albert Hall and wider public attention followed the broadcast of a six-part television series Song Hunter, presented by Alan Lomax and featuring Jim, Bob and Ron. Bob wrote several books about the family and its songs, beginning with the widely acclaimed A Song For Every Season in 1971. The accompanying 4-LP set (now a collector's item) found Bob and Ron singing alongside Bob's daughter Jill and son John, bringing a further generation into the family tradition. The death of Ron was followed by the introduction of Jill's husband Jon into the core line-up, and some of Bob's grandchildren began to appear with the group.
One such prop was the original Apple Macintosh, which had become a collector's item and was rare. Many props were also borrowed from the Rhode Island Computer Museum. The Cardiff Giant portable PC depicted on screen was specially built for the series from molded plastic and was partially functional, as the production staff wanted to ensure the design was "consistent with the visionary thinking of the time and was not sci-fi", according to Freilich. S." stood for the band, as mentioned in interviews off of the extended version on the Dirty Rotten CD. Photos of the band can be found with the original U.S.D.R.I logo. The "Skanker Man" logo was designed by original drummer Eric Brecht as a high school art assignment to create a "corporate" logo. He received an "A" on it. Two months later, on July 2, 1982, the band played their first show at Joe Star's OMNI, in Houston. On November 6 & 7, 1982, D.R.I. recorded their first release, the Dirty Rotten EP, fitting 22 songs into 18 minutes on a 7" EP. Only 1000 copies of this EP version were pressed, making it now a very rare collector's item.
The present value of the currency as a collector's item remains mixed depending on their condition, the presence of serial numbers, the use of woven paper, and their use as specimens. Common notes lacking serial numbers are still worth below their printed value, while rarer versions are worth slightly over or several times their printed value. Notes stamped as war souvenirs are currently rare, while notes with 1946 calendar overprints fetch about RM3,000 (as of September 2006). Ten dollar-sized leaflets reprinting the ten dollar note's obverse were also air-dropped by British air forces during the Japanese occupation as a warning to the population of the potential worthlessness of the currency in the event of Japanese defeat.
Being the highest award in the Australian Honours Order of Wearing, the Victoria Cross takes precedence over all other postnominals and Australian orders and decorations. The Victoria Cross was instituted by Queen Victoria in 1856, initially to reward acts of valour during the Crimean War. Because of its rarity and inherent significance, the VC is highly prized, both as an award and as a collector's item, with one medal being sold for over A$1 million at auction. Australians have received the Victoria Cross under the Imperial honours system and later under the Australian Honours System, when in 1991 a new but equivalent award was established by letters patent within the Commonwealth of Australia and its Territories, known as the Victoria Cross for Australia.
An admirer of James Joyce's poetry, Hughes in 1933 edited The Joyce- Book, a volume of settings of Joyce's poetry, with 13 pieces by 13 composers including, besides Hughes himself, Arnold Bax, Arnold Bliss, Herbert Howells, John Ireland, and non-British composers such as George Antheil, Edgardo Carducci, and Albert Roussel. The large-format, blue-cloth covered volume has since become a collector's item. Hughes also composed a limited amount of original chamber music (a violin sonata is mentioned in a letter to Hughes from Bernard van Dieren dated 4 April, 1932),Lloyd, Stephen, ed. Music in Their Time: The Memoirs and Letters of Dora and Hubert Foss (2019) and some scores for the stage (like And So to Bed by John Bernard Fagan) and film.
The first session that Rubinson brought to the Automatt was Heartsfield, a vocal rock group that recorded their album Collector's Item in late 1976. In December, Rubinson produced remote recordings made by Santana in Europe, and when Santana returned home they came to the Automatt to record new tracks and mix the album Moonflower—a combination of concert and studio work. In March 1977 the Meters, a band who had never before recorded outside of New Orleans, laid down tracks for their album New Directions. Immediately following, Patti LaBelle booked the studio and rehearsal space. She practiced 40 songs written by herself, Rubinson, and his A&R; man Jeffrey Cohen, narrowing the selections down to 9 for her first solo album, Patti LaBelle.
In 1987, Ford sold 5,527 two-door sedans (compared to 105,789 four-door sedansEncyclopedia of American Cars, 2006 edition); due to declining sales of the body style, the two-door was not included in the facelift, making the 1979-87 coupe a minor collector's item. In 1990, the interior again saw major changes as the dashboard of the LTD Crown Victoria was redesigned. Nearly identical to that of the Grand Marquis, the new interior features a driver- side airbag as standard equipment. To streamline production costs and increase its appeal after 11 years, the standard equipment list of the LTD Crown Victoria added many previously optional features, including air conditioning, which was made standard in 1987, power windows, locks, tilt steering, and automatic headlights (AutoLamp).
When a large earthquake hits the area and demolishes the installation, Jenny (who has acquired a pistol from her outside contacts) and the outwardly harmless trustee Grandma (Mae Marsh) and Melanee use the opportunity to escape with Anne to take her home to locate the money. The downed telephone and power lines give the three girls time to escape unpursued but Rev Fulton heads off Anne at her home, where Pop is still held at gunpoint by Paul. Since the film's release in 1956, the theatrical movie poster, featuring a catfight between Helen Gilbert and Joan Taylor, has become a collector's item. The poster shows the blonde haired Gilbert strangling the dark haired Taylor although that exact scene did not occur in the movie.
At the time of its launch, it was cited as a "fashion car", a car that enthusiasts desired to own. It was credited to being the first model of its factory team, (TRF), that help to yield five IFMAR touring car championship titles from 2002. Despite this success and winning numerous EFRA off-road Euros in both 2WD (TRF201) and 4WD (TRF501X and TRF511), TRF have yet to win an Off-Road Worlds title, achieving a 2nd place with Lee Martin in the 2WD class in 2013 with a TRF201XM before disbanding its off-road operations. Today, the Avante is a highly sought-after collector's item, with new-in-box examples demanding more money than many other collectible Tamiya cars of the period.
It is estimated that fewer than 100 of the discs will ever be found and they will be a valuable collector's item for many years. On April 20, 2012, Domino Recording Company released a zine exclusively for Record Store Day that included five individual, multi-colored flexi-discs, each containing a song by Dirty Projectors, Real Estate, Cass McCombs, John Maus, and Villagers. The Dirty Projectors disc was previewed on April 19 by frontman Dave Longstreth via a YouTube video of him playing the record on a turntable. In 2012 Rookie online magazine released its first hardcopy edition, Rookie Yearbook One, which contained a red flexi disc with two songs written specifically for the site: "I Don't Care" by Dum Dum Girls and "Rookie" by Supercute!.
A coin's value as a collector's item or as an investment generally depends on its condition, specific historical significance, rarity, quality, beauty of the design and general popularity with collectors. If a coin is greatly lacking in all of these, it is unlikely to be worth much. The value of bullion coins is also influenced to some extent by those factors, but is largely based on the value of their gold, silver, or platinum content. Sometimes non-monetized bullion coins such as the Canadian Maple Leaf and the American Gold Eagle are minted with nominal face values less than the value of the metal in them, but as such coins are never intended for circulation, these face values have no relevance.
This last song was recorded during Harrison's controversial 1974 North American tour, when his singing was marred by the effects of laryngitis; it remains the only vocal performance from that tour to have been made available outside of concert bootlegs. While "Lay His Head" was issued as the B-side to his 1987 single "Got My Mind Set on You", the Songs by George Harrison EP remains the sole official release for this live version of "For You Blue" and for the studio tracks "Sat Singing" and "Flying Hour". Genesis undertook a single print run for the book, after which Songs by George Harrison became a highly priced collector's item. It was followed by a second volume, published in 1992.
More than 50 years after it was produced, the mission of the first generation Rambler American as "an affordable, stylish people mover hasn't changed - though now it's rolling stingily down the road as a collector's item rather than a daily beater." The economical car "that put Detroit on notice is one of today's most affordable, fun collectibles." Benefiting from network television exposure, the 1962 Rambler American convertible became "a hot ticket item" for collectors after it began to appear regularly on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun with owners of rusty cars asking high prices and prime examples commanding upward of $14,000. A fully restored 1962 convertible was given to Mitt Romney on his 60th birthday by his son, Tagg, in 2008.
Ranen Ray Chowdhury (who sang in a number of Ritwik Ghatak films), Kali Dasgupta, a well-known folk- singer and collector, Khaled Choudhury, and the folk- and mass-singer Hemanga Biswas (whose centenary will be celebrated in 2012) were very close to Kathashilpa. Montu da, along with Ranajit Singha (a notable poet, folk-song enthusiast and photographer) and Nihar Barua (renowned folk singer), was associated with the Folk Music and Folklore Research Institute. The first and only journal of the institute, published by Kathashilpa, is now a collector's item. Among drama personalities, Tapas Sen (the lighting wizard of the stage), Subrata Nandi and Asit Basu were regular inmates of Kathashilpa, not to mention Sunil Kumar Chattopadhyay, the eminent Shakespeare and Howard Fast translator).
Protector received positive reviews since its release. Eric Mylonas of GameFan gave a positive outlook to the game, remarking that "While i'm not going to tell you it's a 'gotta have it' kind of game, it still makes a pretty cool collector's item and a solid game in its own right". Bruce Clarke of The Atari Times also gave a positive review to the game, praising the graphics, controls, music and sound effects but criticized the unbalanced difficulty levels and the lack of variety in both the backgrounds and foregrounds but stated that he was "very pleased with Protector, and would rate it as one of the better games for the Jaguar. I don't think it's quite at the level of Tempest 2000 or Doom, but it is pretty close".
Banking on the favourable currency exchange rates and on Killan's old music scene connections in his native Ukraine the band travelled to Kiev in December 1988 to record a 7 song demo (V12BB4U - read out with a thick Chinese or Russian accent it approximates "We Want To Be Before You"). The recording session took place at the Kiev's National Film Studios, which ordinarily recorded full orchestras for movie sound tracks. Due to the studio not being tailored to or having any experience recording metal, the resulting sound quality left much to be desired. Despite the poor sound quality the demo was warmly received back home with several hundred copies sold through mail order and independent record shops within a few months and has since become a collector's item.
1, the medley was meant to satirize the musical stiffness of Italian worship songs rather than the Catholic Church, as well as the possible dilution of Christian-themed messages through musically hackneyed, trivial songs, with band leader Elio jokingly stating that the Church would increase its popularity among younger generations of worshippers if Christian songs actually sounded the way the band performed them. As of 2019, the song is officially available only in a slightly different version, re-recorded by the band in 1997 as a duet with Hernandez, for Del meglio del nostro meglio Vol. 1; the original 1990 single was withdrawn within two months from its release, because the Italian branch of Jehovah's Witnesses took issues with its parodic cover artwork, and became a collector's item.
In 1993, Debney released an assembly of the score as a promotional album, which has since become a collector's item. The film did not have a soundtrack album available to the public until Intrada Records released their special complete edition in late 2013. As a result of the score being cut from its original running time of over 60 minutes down to 43 minutes in Debney's promo, as well as all the music from the prologue sequence being removed, many bootleg recordings of the score began to appear across the internet, all of which contained all the music from the film in addition to never before heard alternates (some of which did not appear on the official release). The music was conducted by Debney and orchestrated by Brad Dechter and Don Davis.
Tully signed with the Australian division of EMI and their self-titled debut LP was released on the EMI's Columbia label in July 1970; it charted well, spending eight weeks in the Top 40 and peaking at No. 8. Around this time Michael Carlos purchased what is said to be the first Moog synthesiser to be imported into Australia, and they became the first local band to use one in live performance. In late 1970 Richard Lockwood and Ken Firth contributed to the debut LP Hush by Sydney band Extradition, released in June 1971 and now a rare collector's item. Both bands had been closely associated for some time, and shared similar musical outlooks; this led to Extradition members Colin Campbell and Shayna (Karlin) Stewart joining Tully at the start of 1971.
7 A TV movie was made of their exploits, showing them riding horseback into the sunset on Miami Beach, and they even posed for a poster dressed in western garb. The Sports Illustrated issue of August 7, 1972, featured a profile of Kiick and Csonka. This issue has become a collector's item because of the cover photograph of Kiick and Csonka by famed SI photographer Walter Iooss, with Csonka making an obscene gesture with the middle finger of his right hand across his left shin. Kiick was such a celebrity in South Florida by the summer of 1972 that a petty criminal (Ron Davis) who bore a passing resemblance to Kiick was able to rent a luxury home on Key Biscayne, make public appearances, and get engaged, passing himself off as Kiick, before being caught.
The first single recorded as The Shakers was "Break it All" in late 1964, which reached number 9 on Argentine charts. A self-titled album was released later in 1965. For obvious reasons, the band focused their attentions almost exclusively on Latin America, but they did take one crack at the English-speaking market when they released the album Break it All, on the US-based Audio Fidelity label in 1966. The record (which featured re-recorded versions of many of the songs on their original LP and even a Spanish-language version of Beatles' "Ticket to Ride") was little more than a curiosity in America and was not a hit, but became a collector's item decades later, as would their second album, Shakers For You (released in 1966).
With origins traced back to the T-Boones, a R&B; group formed in 1965, the band became a popular live fixture on the Swedish club circuit. Self-producing their debut single later in the year, the T-Boones released their best-known work "At the Club", which has since become a rare collector's item of Swedish garage rock. In 1966, the band was joined by Kenny Hakansson (lead vocals, lead guitar) who explained how he first encountered the group: "My group The Agents needed a new singer and when I heard rumours about the T-Boones splitting up I contacted their much talented singer and songwriter Kjell Lagerström. The T-Boones weren’t breaking up though but the contact was made and this led me to join them instead".
It was also the first time in the band's history that it had two electric guitar players on stage, when Anderson, albeit rarely, played rhythm guitar. 1988 was notable for the release of 20 Years of Jethro Tull, a five-LP themed set (also released as a three-CD set, and as a truncated single CD version on 20 Years of Jethro Tull: Highlights) consisting largely of rarities and outtakes from throughout the band's history, as well as a variety of live and remastered tracks. It also included a booklet outlining the band's history in detail. Now out of print, it has become a collector's item, although many (but not all) of the outtakes have been included as bonus tracks on remastered releases of the band's studio albums.
In 1987 and 1988, animation producer Ralph Bakshi (who began his career at Terrytoons in the late 1950s and worked on the last Mighty Mouse shorts filmed by that company) created a new series of Mighty Mouse cartoons entitled Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures for the CBS Saturday morning children's lineup. In this series, Mighty Mouse has a real identity, Mike Mouse (both identities voiced by Patrick Pinney), and a sidekick, Scrappy Mouse (voiced by actress Dana Hill), the little orphan. Though a children's cartoon, its heavy satirical tone, risque humor, and adult jokes made the Bakshi Mighty Mouse series a collector's item for collectors of older television series. The best-remembered episode of this series featured a crossover with Mighty Mouse and another Bakshi creation, the Mighty Heroes.
Over the course of his life, Rakoto Frah was commemorated by fellow artists and by the government of Madagascar, which issued him numerous awards and commendations throughout his career. The design for the 1,000 Malagasy franc (200 ariary) banknote first printed by the Central Bank in 1983 depicted Rakoto Frah dressed in a traditional straw hat and lamba and playing the sodina. He is the only artist to have been featured on a Malagasy banknote. According to a representative of the Central Bank, the artist was selected because he was the most representative of the Malagasy identity. After the Rakoto Frah banknote design was discontinued in the 1990s it became a rare collector's item valued in 2011 at over 100,000 ariary, more than 500 times its face value.
Originally released in a hundred copies, with each copy having a different hand made art work album cover, soon after the release went out of print, and in the following month the band released a hundred more copies, which were quickly sold out. Today the album is considered a rarity and a collector's item. In 1983, a version of Kazimirov Kazneni Korpus' "Paralitične šizoidne devojke" appeared on the Šećrna vodica (Sugar Drink) movie soundtrack, however, the soundtrack was never released as an official album. During the same year, Stojanović wanted to change the concept switching to guitar so that Kazimirov Kazneni Korpus had a vacant spot for a new bass player until Jeličić brought in Saša Radić as the new bassist, and Mladenović remained only the Profili Profili bassist.
The duo went on to play two live shows broadcast by BBC Radio 1. They released one single, "Car Song", before splitting up. The resurgent popularity of folk music over the last decade reawakened interest in the band and the album became a collector's item fetching hundreds of pounds; The duo started to receive airplay in the US, prompting a reissue in 2006 as Fresh Maggots...Hatched on the Sunbeam label in the UK and Amber Soundroom in Germany, with the tracks from the "Car Song" single added.James, John M. In 1967 he released his best-selling Dutch book David Berglas onthult...bijna alles (David Berglas reveals...nearly everything), published by H.J.W. Becht's Uitgeversmaatschappij N.V. and in 1988 A Question of Memory (with Guy Lyon Playfair), published by Jonathan Cape Ltd. (). He has written a substantial number of articles and lecture notes for the magical fraternity, including The David Berglas File No.1 (1976) and the much sought-after tome, now out of print, The Mind and Magic of David Berglas – As Revealed to David Britland, 2002, published by Jim Steinmeyer through Hahne Publications. This has become a collector's item and is selling for several times its original price. 2011 – He released a book with Richard J. Kaufman entitled The Berglas Effects – this is the book named after his famed "Any Card at Any Number" plot.
Upon release of the LP, radio stations looked for a track that would fit their on-air formats from the quickly successful LP, with the pulsing lead track "Whole Lotta Love" being the prime contender. However, because many radio stations saw the freeform middle section as unfit to air, they simply created their own edited versions. Atlantic Records was quick to respond, and in addition to the release of the regular single in the US (coupled with "Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)" from the same LP as the B-side), on 7 November 1969 they released a 3:10 version of the track with the freeform section removed, and with an earlier fade-out . The edited version was intended for radio station promotional release but some copies were apparently released commercially in the US and are a collector's item for fans.
It received a lukewarm review from Patrick Gann of RPGFan, who said that while the music included was "beautiful" and a few specific tracks were "pretty cool", "anyone hoping for a proper arrangement of this music will be sorely disappointed". He claimed that there was not much difference between many of the alternate versions of songs and their final versions in the original soundtrack, which meant that in his opinion owners of the original soundtrack would not get much out of the "Plus" album. Jayson Napolitano of Original Sound Version gave a similar review for the album; he felt that while it included several interesting pieces that could not be found elsewhere, it was in his opinion more of a collector's item than a stand-alone album and likely not worth the cost for most listeners.
He was educated at Kilvert's Academy in Bath but, following his father's election to Parliament as one of the two members for Glamorgan in 1832 he and chose to follow a business career by taking over the management of Cambrian Pottery, rather than enter Oriel College, Oxford as had been intended. His father was a friend of the geologist Henry De la Beche and Dillwyn and De la Beche carried out experiments on china clays and granites with the aim of improving the production of earthenware. On 16 March 1838, Dillwyn married de la Beche's daughter Elizabeth and, with his wife's artistic guidance, the pottery produced a range of beautiful Etruscan ware which is today a collector's item. They had four children, the best known of whom was Amy Dillwyn and lived at the newly built Hendrefoilan House in Sketty.

The album was followed by The Vanishing Race in 1993, which was supported by the hit single "Goodbye", with lyrics by David Foster and Linda Thompson—which, although not popular in the United States, was critically praised and gained a large following outside the country, especially in Asia where in many countries it would reach number No. 1\. In Taiwan, Power Station & Terry Lin (a huge fan of Air Supply himself) covered it and cleverly called it "I'd rather love the sea/Shanghai rather than loving you" as a play on Shanghai's geographical relationship with the sea in 2009. This would lead to another world tour in 1993 which included Earth, Wind & Fire guitarist Dick Smith.
Hawkins, Veasey, and Hite (while working with Starr) began to move away from the standard R&B; sounds of the period and became heavily influenced by the hard rock sounds of Cream, The Who, and especially Jimi Hendrix. In 1981 Darby left and was replaced by The Handsome Beasts founder member James Barrett, who in turn gave way to Steve Makin in 1982. The band indicated that if they were unable to reacquire the original recordings they might re-form in order to re-record the entire album for CD. The Hugh Beaumont Experience was a punk rock band from Fort Worth, Texas. The band's original lineup was Brad Stiles on vocals, Tommie Duncan on guitar, Clay Carlisle on bass, and Carter Kolba on drums. Formed in 1980 by members of the private school, Fort Worth Country Day School, in Fort Worth, they toured throughout Texas in 1981-82, including dates with MDC and The Dead Kennedys. Their nascent success was short-lived, however; the band had broken up by 1983, having released just one 7-inch called Cone Johnson EP (now a collector's item) and a cassette called Virgin Killers. (This material was re- released in 1993 on Existential Vacuum Records; They also did a recording session with Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü.) Formed while the members were all under the drinking age (then 18 years, in Texas), the band initially had some difficulty securing gigs, and often played small local arcades and other places that would ignore ages, such as DJs in Dallas.
A "Deluxe Tour Edition" was released in 2007 containing bonus tracks and an expanded version of the DVD side of the original DualDisc release. AllMusic, Biography by Stanton Swihart In 1965, a CBC documentary by Maurice Embra was filmed of bissett, entitled Strange Grey Day This, the documentary is one of the earliest known documentations of bissett's poetry and art. In 1968, Bissett collaborated with experimental rock group Th Mandan Massacre to release a spoken word album, Awake In Th Red Desert, in a limited edition of 500 copies. The album became a highly sought after collector's item, until reissued by Feeding Tube Records in 2019. In 1969, having performed earlier in the evening at a concrete poetry show, bissett fell through a folding door that was supposed to be latched shut and plummeted 20 feet to a basement concrete floor, severely injuring his head.
