Many Native American arrowheads have been found in Cannondale's level meadows, and a large flat rock on the east side of the railroad tracks, south of Honey Hill Road, was purportedly a "Dancing Rock" of local Indians. By the 1720s there were no dangerous Indians in the area around Wilton, but there are reports of individual Indians in or close to Cannondale coexisting with English settlers in the early 18th century.

Set at the end of the medieval era, The Merman's Children details the end of the last bastion of the kingdom of the Merfolk, one of the Faery peoples being displaced by the advancing tide of Christianity. The city of the Liri king (the Merman of the title) lies beneath the waves off the shores of Denmark, peacefully coexisting with the landbound humans until exorcised by a zealous priest and his churchbells. The majority of the Merfolk are destroyed or scatter, unable to withstand the onslaught, leaving only the king's halfling offspring by a human lover. The story follows them and their various fates as they seek a place to call their own, in locales as varied as the dying Norse colonies in Greenland and the coastlands of Dalmatia.

He would then have handed the city over to his cousin Muḥammad, the son of Sulaymān Ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Kāmil, who thereby founded the dynasty of Sulaymānides after his father's name. In 828, Muḥammad Ibn Idrīs II erected the government of Muḥammad Ibn Sulaymān as viceroyalty. According to historian Gilbert Meynier, one of the descendants of Idris I, Mūḥāmmād Ibn Sūlāymān, creates in the region of Tlemcen, the « sulaymanid kingdom », a state which seems to control only the cities, coexisting with the neighboring tribes which preserve their Kharidjite heterodoxy. Tlemcen becomes a distinguished city, in growing connection with the Arab culture of Al-Andalus, in 931 the Fatimids took the city and put an end to the power of the Sulaymanids who took refuge in Al-Andalus.

From this period are preserved Wall paintings, ramparts, the Memorial stone on the facade of the Church, and a copper plate detailing a treaty between the Roman colony Ucubi (Córdoba) and the municipality Iptuci. Prado del Rey was later part of the border with the Nazari kingdom of Granada (this border was very unstable) and the control of this city frequently changed hands. In the township, has found a unique exhibit of Christian weaponry, whose style was imposed on Al-Andalus in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, coexisting with other weapons of Muslim tradition.

In 2029, Connor sends Reese back through time to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), only to discover that she has been raised and trained by a reprogrammed T-800 (Schwarzenegger). Atelier Bow- Wow’s articulation of ascent within the structure sees the nature of spaces change.

Such sightings in modern context, when able to be investigated further, have been universally identified as introduced domestic cats gone feral -- natural selection tends favour proportions, markings and behaviours more commonly associated with actual wild species, after only a few generations in the wild.. The domestic cat was introduced to Australia some hundreds of years ago, and have dispersed (and been dispersed) nationally, with only some islands remaining free from the declared pest. Thylacoleo, an animal of similar size and predatory habits, did live in Australia as recently as the late Pleistocene period, perhaps coexisting with the very first humans that arrived at Australia who were the ancestors of modern Australian Aboriginals. However, scientists estimate that Thylacoleo became extinct 30,000 years ago. Modern sightings of an animal described as remarkably like Thylacoleo have led some researchers to speculate that a small relict population has somehow survived in remote areas.

The species remained with the honeyeaters for many decades, although some authors questioned the placement, especially as it was the only honeyeater in the North Pacific and there were no members of that family in the Philippines, the island group between that family's natural range and the Bonin Islands. Finn Salomonsen, writing in 1967, thought that the golden white-eye (Cleptornis marchei) of the Marianas Islands might be a close relative, and the species was then known as the golden honeyeater. Hiroyuki Morioka and Takaharu Sakane also attributed the species to the honeyeaters, but cautioned that this was a provisional placement as the structure of the tongue was not very different from that of babblers. They also noted that it was very similar in diet and habitat preferences to the warbling white-eye, which had been introduced and was coexisting with the Bonin white-eye.
