The extent of the probing activity dictates gall size, and removing the stem mother early on in the process leads to the formation of an unclosed, rudimentary gall. The extent of probing activity is correlated with the aphid's reproductive success.

Exiting Turn 12, Rossi has to brake a little as the power difference of his four-stroke almost causes him to crash into the back of Jacque's two-stroke, thus not being able to overtake the Frenchman for now. Lap eleven and Jacque is still all over the back of Barros. Rossi closes up on the Frenchman at the Sachsen Kurve but does not overtake. Checa also briefly has a look at Abe's rear but decides to stay behind for now.

At the Casio Triangle, Schwantz closes up again to Beattie, the Australian closing the door on him. On lap sixteen, Schwantz has a quick look behind him to see where Rainey is exiting the First Corner. At the Anti-Banked Curve, Schwantz throws his bike up the inside via a tight line, passing Beattie and taking over at the front. Exiting Turn 10 and entering the Hairpin, Rainey makes his move and dives down the inside of Beattie, overtaking him for second position.

A gunsmith and a marksman, Daniel Bone closes up his Brooklyn, New York business and travels west, where he feels he belongs. On a train, he encounters passenger Liza Crockett, then sees her purse being stolen by a man Dan confronts, disarms and throws off the train. The man turns out to be a notorious outlaw, the Pecos Kid, who vows revenge against "the dude" who interfered with his holdup. Liza, however, mistakenly believes Dan was the one who tried to steal her bag.

On lap eighteen, Márquez closes up to Pedrosa. At the end of the Veenslang, Márquez carries a lot more speed at the new, quick right-hand kink but runs wide entering the Ruskenhoek, allowing Pedrosa to get back at him exiting the turn. At the Geert Timmer Bocht, Márquez makes his move by going up the inside of his teammate and taking second place. Lap nineteen and Rossi's gap back to Márquez is +1.044 seconds, showing that he has increased it since the pair were fighting.

A train of three riders is now starting to form behind Rossi, consisting out of Abe, Sete Gibernau and Repsol Honda teammate Ukawa. Entering the 200R (Turn 12), Gibernau goes alongside Abe and overtakes him before the entrance of the Spoon Curve for sixth. At the Casio Trinagle, Rossi makes his move and goes up the inside of Checa to take fourth place from him. Ito also closes up on Ryō but the Telefónica Movistar Suzuki rider manages to maintain the lead as they exit the chicane.

The innocent owner of a van that is unsuspectingly used in a back-room bookie operation robbery is "railroaded" (informal, refers to the conviction of someone based on false or weak evidence without proper corroboration) for the killing of a cop during the getaway. Clara Calhoun is a beautician with a shop in New York. Her shop is in fact a front for a bookmaking operation. One evening when she closes up for the night, she gives a silent signal to two masked gunmen lurking outside.

Meanwhile Audrey suffers at the hands of her abusive sadistic boyfriend, Orin Scrivello; however, she has feelings for Seymour and secretly dreams of running off with him to the suburbs ("Somewhere That's Green"). Seymour continues to feed Audrey II his own blood, draining his energy ("Some Fun Now"). Seymour soon attempts to ask Audrey out, but she turns him down because she has a date with Orin, who is revealed to be a dentist ("Dentist!"). After Seymour closes up shop, Audrey II begins to talk to Seymour, demanding more blood than Seymour can give.

As Arnold takes Pinky and her Pinkettes into the kitchen to go over their schedule, the Malachis make their entrance ("Malachis"), only to have their bike crashed into by Fonzie. Arnold closes up before trouble ensues. At this moment, Fonzie and Pinky see each other for the first time in years, rekindling some old feelings. As Chachi and Fonzie talk about girls, we hear about Fonzie's and Pinky's history, and Chachi asked Fonzie how to know when something is over and how to get to know a girl.

The movie begins with a well-dressed man applying women's make-up in an old and dingy apartment. The man picks up a prostitute on the street, and while having sex with her in an alley, he stabs her to death. Four couples - Judy and David, John and Bonnie, Randy and Kim, and Shawn and Melissa - have just graduated from high school and are preparing to sneak into a furniture store owned by John's father, Phil. Arriving before the store closes, the teenagers hide as Phil closes up.

However, Ito blasts past Rainey and retakes first place, making good use of his superior Honda power. On lap ten, the fight is now between two men: Ito and Rainey, with Schwantz and Beattie a bit further behind. At Dunlop, Rainey closes up again as Ito has a slight twitch, Rainey then trying a move around the outside but not being able to pass for now. Entering the Hairpin, Rainey takes a wider line so that he can have a tighter exit line, setting himself up for a pass at the 200R.

On lap nineteen, Doohan once again closes up on his Repsol Honda teammate and tries to get side-by-side with Criville at the Curva Dry Sac, with Crivillé denying him once again. Doohan has another look at the Curva Ducados, but is forced to slot back behind the Spaniard as he outbreaks him.

A swordfish comes along and cuts a hole in the bottom of the boat and all of Porky's goods fall to the bottom of the ocean! As Porky falls out too, the swordfish pushes him back into the boat and closes up the hole. The swordfish unscrews his "sword" from his face, and gives it to a nearby fish to stand guard (ensuring Porky doesn't try to open the hole again). Out of the sinking goods falls a lunchbox and when it hits bottom, opens up to form a canteen where a fish inside wearing a chef's hat is flipping burgers.

At the front, Okada is still leading with Doohan close behind him in second place. On lap twenty- four, Cadalora closes up at Redgate as N. Aoki is starting to lose ground to the Italian again. Lap twenty-five and Barros is coming under pressure from Cadalora again, using the Red Bull WCM Yamaha's superior power to get close, take a tighter line and go up the inside of Barros at Redgate for third. At the front, Doohan has overtaken Okada for the lead at the Old Hairpin, only to go wide and allow Okada to retake it entering Starkey's Bridge (Turn 5).

As Hayden crosses the line to start lap six, Rossi closes up a lot to Dovizioso and thinks about making a move entering Turn 1 but stays behind for the time being. At Turn 2, Rossi tries a very late lunge to overtake Dovizioso but runs wide, allowing the JiR Team Scot Honda rider to retake the position upon entry. At Turn 15, he tries again and this time manages to close the door just in time to prevent Dovizioso to come back at him, moving him up to second place. On lap seven, Hayden sets the fastest lap of the race.

As they exit Coppice, both Rossi and McWilliams' tyres start to smoke as they put on the power.

The individual places several items into a brief case, appearing among them a deck of cards, a notebook, and a copy of the children's novel Mr. Pig and Sonny Too — an actual publication written in 1977 by the American author Lillian Hoban. The individual closes up his brief case, standing upright and turning to reveal on camera the bleeding, half- naked body of another man lying prostrate on the floor. The living man kicks aside the corpse of the dead one and continues downstairs, placing his belongings into a black car and driving away along a deserted road.

Adler's throat closes up during the MRI due to an allergic reaction to gadolinium, prompting two members of House's team, Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), to perform a tracheotomy. In the hospital's clinic, House's first patient is a man who is orange because of an over-consumption of carrots and vitamins (niacin). House also treats a ten-year-old boy whose mother allows him to use his asthmatic inhaler only intermittently instead of daily as prescribed.

As Usnavi closes up shop, he, Benny, Sonny, and Graffiti Pete discover that the bodega has sold a winning lottery ticket worth $96,000. They and soon the rest of the block begin to fantasize about what they would do if they won the small fortune ("96,000"). As the excitement dies down, Abuela Claudia sits down to feed the birds and reminisces about her childhood in Cuba and her life in relative poverty, and the events that have led her to where she is today. With tears of gratitude, she reveals that she holds the winning lottery ticket, and thanks her years of patience and faith for bringing her this fortune ("Paciencia y Fe").

He has it all to do as the battle for the win is now between Rainey and Beattie. Exiting Dunlop, Wainey slides his rear tyre to ensure that he's opened up enough of a gap for later on when they come onto the straights. Schwantz, through miracle almost, manages to close the gap to Beattie relatively quickly, taking Ito with him as a result. At the Backstretch, Beattie closes up and tries to take a different line to try and pass Rainey but instead gets surprised himself when Schwantz makes a do-or-die dive at the Casio Triangle and manages to pass Beattie for second, the fans cheering as the action unfolds at the last couple of corners.

On lap eight, Doohan starts to pull a small gap to Schwantz with Cadalora still losing more ground to the trio. Abe has a slight moment entering Dunlop but doesn't lose any time or positions from it. Schwantz closes up on Doohan halfway across the lap, then lines up a pass by lunging down his inside at the entrance of the Hairpin, closing the door and taking second position away from the Honda Team HRC rider. At the 200R, Doohan looks to be retaking the position from Schwantz by going up the inside upon entry, but the American takes a wider line and then a shorter one exiting the corner, holding off Doohan and keeping the position entering the Spoon Curve.

Also at the Haarbocht, Gibernau surprises both Rossi and Biaggi by lunging up their insides and taking over the lead of the race after just two corners, with Biaggi also snatching second from Rossi in the process. The young Italian now had lost two positions in one corner on the opening lap. The duo then opens up a slight gap back to Rossi. At the straight before the medium speed unnamed right hander before Strubben, a charging Troy Bayliss goes up the inside of Barros and takes fifth place from him. At the Ruskenhoek (Turn 8), Jacque closes up on Rossi and Jacque looks to make a move on 'The Doctor' at the Stekkenwal (Turn 9) but decides to stay behind for the time being.

Crivillé passes Fujiwara for fourth at the start/finish straight entering the First Corner, Rainey doing likewise on Honma for seventh position. The marshalls have by now put some concrete dust on the oil to prevent riders from crashing out. At Dunlop (Turn 7), Ito closes up on Schwantz, with Beattie doing likewise on Crivillé. At the Hairpin, Rainey has gone up the inside of Beattie and has snatched sixth position away from him. Crivillé then tries to pass Ito around the outside of 200R (Turn 12) for third but isn't able to and stays in fourth place. At the Backstretch, Schwantz looks to be taking the lead from Barros but instead it is Ito who has taken first place from both riders, making good use of his superior Honda power to blast past before approaching the fast 130R (Turn 14).
