Tiny Mix Tapes placed Giant Claw at number seven on its list of 2014's best release, while on a year-end list by CMJ it ranked 27. On the list, writer Lizzie Plaugic honored it as "a whole new thing, and for my money, it’s something 2015 will have to get used to.

Each flower has the typical structure for Roscoea (see the diagrams in that article). There is a tube- shaped outer calyx, about 6 cm long, with a three-lobed apex. Next the three petals (the corolla) form a tube, longer than the calyx, terminating in three lobes, an upright central lobe, about 2.6–3.0 cm long by 1.0–1.2 cm wide, and two somewhat narrower side lobes, 2.2–2.5 cm long by 0.5–0.7 cm wide. Inside the petals are structures formed from four sterile stamens (staminodes): two lateral staminodes form what appear to be small upright petals, which are 1.5–2.0 cm by 0.6–0.8 cm, with a short narrowed part (a "claw") at the base; two central staminodes are partially fused at the base to form a lip or labellum, 2.0–2.3 cm long by 1.2–1.6 cm wide.

When Snow White's mother died in childbirth, the King remarries once again with an evil and powerful sorceress named Clementianna who becomes in his new and second wife, the new and second queen and Snow White's stepmother. One day, the king leaves to fight a great evil that has invaded the land but never returns causing Queen Clementianna rules in his absence and keeps Snow White in the palace. Nobody knew it yet, but the King had been turned into the Beast (with its vocal effects provided by Frank Welker), a chimeric creature with a lion/dog-like head, the antlers of a deer, chicken leg-like arms, the wings of an eagle, and the body and tail of a snake with a tail-claw at the end of the tail.

On 5th Oct 2019, ADEX, The Asian Diving Expo at Mumbai, acknowledged Operation Blue Freedom pioneering efforts in using SCUBA diving to mainstream people with disabilities and featured Team CLAW at the International Diving Expo. The following day, on 6th Oct 2019, Operation Blue Freedom crossed another milestone by training 30 people with disabilities at an indoor facility in Mumbai, India. On 15th Nov 2019, the TiE Global, a Silicon Valley non-profit, felicitated Team CLAW for the most innovative solutions in employment generation for People of Determination at its Global Summit 2019, in Delhi. On 21st July 2020, the Novus X Impact Global, a summit championing the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals, featured the founder, Major Vivek Jacob, as he spoke about mainstreaming perception change towards people with disabilities through the application of Special Forces mindset.

He is a faculty affiliate of the Carolina Lowcountry and Atlantic World Program (CLAW) at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. Awarded his doctorate at Brandeis University for a dissertation supervised by Prof. Jacqueline Jones, Kelly has published widely on race and class in the nineteenth and twentieth-century United States, including an award-winning book on working-class interracialism in the Birmingham district (Alabama) coal mines, Race, Class, and Power in the Alabama Coalfields, 1908-1921 (University of Illinois Press, 2001, ) and an extended introduction to the reissue of Bernard Mandel's Old Left classic, Labor, Free and Slave. In March 2010 Kelly and the After Slavery Project hosted the Conference on Race, Labor, and Citizenship in the Post-Emancipation South at the College of Charleston, out of which came a co-edited volume (with Bruce E. Baker), After Slavery: Race, Labor and Citizenship in the Reconstruction South, with essays by leading historians in the field.

During the trial in October and November 1981 of Taub and Kunz, Taub told the court—as reported by The Baltimore Sun—that the monkeys had been given "gentle" treatment, and had what he called a "remarkable record of health." He acknowledged that they had not been seen by a veterinarian in the previous two years, because he was an expert himself in the treatment of deafferented monkeys. Responding to the images of the monkeys with open sores and decaying bandages, he said that using salves, ointments, and bandages is more dangerous than leaving the conditions untreated; monkeys feel no pain from the deafferented limbs and learn to ignore them, he said, whereas drawing attention to the wounds with salves or bandages would cause the animals to bite or claw at them. Bandages might be necessary where the wounds had grown out of control, or where there was massive infection, and it was sometimes better to let the bandages deteriorate, he said.
