Jim Sharp (17 May 1882 – 7 October 1945) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Fitzroy Football Club and Collingwood Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Sharp was a centre half-back and started his career in 1901 with Fitzroy. He was a member of the Fitzroy side which claimed back to back premierships in 1904 and 1905. Sharp was the club's best and fairest winner in the 1904 season and was also voted best afield in the Grand Final that year.

Green, a wingman, joined Collingwood in 1903 when they were reigning premiers. He broke into the side in the second round of the season and the club won each of the 13 games that he played in that year, but Green missed the finals where they claimed back to back premierships. In 1905 he made his first Grand Final appearance and played on the wing in the loss to Fitzroy.

After a successfully land claims by Professor H.W.E Ntsanwisi, the land became known as the "Tsonga finger" because on the South African map, it looks like a finger. However, after the central government's failure to remove all the Tsonga people from the "Tsonga finger", they did manage to remove one Tsonga chief from his land, Hosi Bokisi in 1968.

In 1975 the lake reached its greatest height above sea level of , at which point its surface area was about 50% of its full potential. By 1994 it had not enlarged further due to a decrease in rainfall in its catchment area, and some extraction of water through dikes upstream. Rainfall in the catchment area continued to be lower than the long term average, and the surface area of the lake remained at about 50% of what had been expected; many dispossessed farmers who had been relocated claimed back their land. In 1983, a serious drought and extensive wildfires devastated the crops and the coffee and cacao plantations near the lake, causing great economic loss.

Murphy was subject to criticism over his expenses claims, revealed by the Daily Telegraph during the United Kingdom parliamentary expenses scandal. Most notable of these was his £3,419.25 claim to have a new boiler installed in his Westminster house, stating that the previous one was a hazard as "The hot water was far too hot". Murphy was ordered to repay some of the money improperly "claimed back" in the amount of £2,237.72 in cleaning costs, mortgage payments and a wardrobe that exceeded the guideline price.

In a similar dominant era for the men, the Hawks competed in five straight MSBL Grand Finals between 2001 and 2005, as they claimed a four-peat between 2001 and 2004 under coach John Gardiner. McShane scored 17 goals in 21 games in his first season in Australia, the second highest tally in the league as his side won the championship. The following season, McShane scored 12 goals in 21 games as his side claimed back-to-back State League 1 championships, this time, with the league system opened up, helping his side achieve promotion to the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2. In the NPL2, Magic made it three consecutive league titles and achieved promotion to the top tier of football in Victoria, with McShane grabbing 17 goals in 27 games, the highest in the NPL2 West conferences and second highest in the NPL2 overall, with only Apai Ukuno scoring more (18).

Nieder-Isenburg was partitioned twice: between Isenburg-Grenzau, Isenburg-Neumagen and itself in 1502, and between Isenburg- Grenzau and Isenburg-Neumagen in 1503. Following the death of Count Ernst of Isenburg in Brussels in 1664 without direct heir, the territories of Nieder- Isenburg were claimed back as a feudal tenure by the Archbishopric of Cologne, the Archbishopric of Trier and the core tenure of Isenburg and Grenzau by the Archbishopric of Fulda. The Fulda part was eventually passed on to the Counts of Walderdorff who had to share them with the Counts of Wied, at that stage a cadet branch of the Isenburgs, following a later agreement. Eventually the Walderdorff estates were distributed to the Nassovian state in the Napoleonic era.

This was Scott's second victory in a WGC event and was the first time in his career, he had claimed back-to-back wins. He had begun the final round, three strokes back of overnight leader Rory McIlroy, but shot a three-under round of 69 and had to hole a six-foot putt for the par on the final green to take the victory. His win was even more remarkable because he had recorded two double-bogeys on the front nine on the third and fifth holes to fall behind the leaders, but then followed this up with six birdies in his next nine holes to take control of the event. The win moved Scott up to number six in the rankings.

A follow-up report by ANN stated that "[f]inancial documents obtained by ANN demonstrate a three- month gap in one employee's payment from March 31 to July 3, followed in September by back pay of only one-third of the $1,800 the employee claims to be owed. After a grand final loss in 1999 to arch-rival Shepparton, and a preliminary final loss to Shepparton Swans in 2007, United broke a 21-year premiership drought in 2010 with a 24-point win against Kyabram in front of 11,000 people at its home ground Deakin Reserve, Shepparton. The following year United claimed back-to-back premierships in a 15-point win over rivals Mooroopna. In 2016, the Under 18s snapped a 32-year drought and 10 losing grand finals in between when it defeated Euroa by 4 points. Led by Jack Norman who was named BOG and Garry Lyon Medallist for best player in the finals, he and Joshua Kezerle led the charge and brought it home for the Demons.

Wellington Square in East Perth, Velodrome in Mount Hawthorn and Perry Lakes Stadium were all homes to North Perth Croatia over those years. In 1994, the club was forced by the then sport governing bodies to remove all ethnic references from their name, so the club changed their name from North Perth Croatia to Western Knights and in 1995, the club returned to the state's premier league until the 2013 season. 1998 proved to be the most successful year in the club's history so far, the Knights take home the Premier League Minor Premiership, the Championship Final Series Grand Final for the first time in their history and the West Ham Cup. The club claimed back to back minor premierships in 2009 and 2010 after finishing the home and away seasons on top of the league table.

The Channel Islands consist of the Bailiwicks of Guernsey and Jersey, Crown dependencies which are self-governing but historically linked to the Crown. The Channel Islands have a special relationship with the United Kingdom as set out in Protocol 3 to the United Kingdom's Act of Accession 1972, which formed part of the Treaty of Accession. Under this agreement the Channel Islands are not part of the European Union but are part of the customs territory of the union. In the spring of 2010 Gregory was loaned to FC Halifax Town for the remainder of the season as back-up for the run-in in the eventual Northern Premier League Division One North title winning campaign, Gregory scoring five goals in 10 appearances, mainly coming off the bench. At the end of the 1996 season, both the Saints and the Lakers were struggling to survive. They amalgamated for the 1997 season, becoming TransAlta Wellington. With fans wanting a 'real' name, for the 1998 season, they became the TransAlta Wizards. For the 1999 season, they returned to the original identity of Saints. The Saints returned to title contenders in the 2000s, as they finished runners-up in 2001 and 2008, and won their fifth title in 2003. The 2010s were dominated by the Saints, as they played in every championship game between 2010 and 2019, except 2013. They claimed back-to- back championships in 2010 and 2011, before claiming their eighth title in 2014.
