The 119th Field Artillery Regiment used the French Canon de 75 modèle 1897 during World War I. Here the cannon is being fired by soldiers of the 6th Field Artillery. After hard fighting, the 32nd Infantry Division, advanced a mile, broke into two important positions in the new German line of resistance, and captured them. Reddy Farm and Hill 230 were both captured on 1 August 1918, with the support of very active fire from the 119th Field Artillery.
