Josie Parrelli was the host of RMITV show Chartbusting 80s, a long-running music-variety show that aired on Channel 31 Melbourne. Josie Parrelli was first involved in the music industry as a volunteer at radio station PBS 106.7FM in October 1999, then was asked to be co-host on the 1980s, 1990s Electronica show "Irvine Jump" for six months, during that time Josie was offered the opportunity of hosting her own insomnia show which started in September 2000 called "Delirious" playing hits of the 1980s and 1990s and also featuring interviews with 1980s artists. In May 2000 Josie came up with the concept of Chartbusting 80s, the program debuting on Melbourne screens Wednesday 1 November 2000 at 7pm. Josie Parrelli is the head of production company "Lady Scorpio Productions", and produced the series of Chartbusting 80s DVDs.

The chartbusting item number choreographed by Ganesh Hegde earned her title of Khallas Girl. Another notable item number Ishq Samundar, in Sanjay Gupta's Reservoir Dogs remake Kaante starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Sunil Shetty, raised her profile higher. She also won the Stardust Award for the Most Exciting New Face for her Khallas number. Isha Koppikar walks the ramp for designer Pria Kataria Puri Koppikar acted in five films in 2003.

Zhakata's songwriting skills continued to rise with the releases of chart busting songs such as 'Tungidza Gwenya' and 'Shungu dzemwoyo'. He however seemed to remain in the mediocre periphery of "Who is Who" on the Zimbabwean music scene, until the release of his mega chartbusting album Maruva Enyika with hit song Mugovein 1994. Backed by a very tight musical outfit, The Zimbabwean All Stars Band and a well choreographed dance display, this album set Zimbabwe on fire during the festive season of the same year. No party was complete without "Mugove" being played.

Throughout its time RMITV has produced some of the most well known programs on Australian community television, including: The Loft Live, Under Melbourne Tonight, Chartbusting 80's, Raucous, Dawns Crack, PLUCK, Studio A, The Leak and countless outside broadcasts. Mid-2015 spawned a webseries collaboration between RMITV and Catalyst, RMIT's Student Magazine, entitled "Politics at the Belleville". Based on the podcast "Politics on the Couch" the program was hosted by the same talent and was released every Friday afternoon.
