The Kings River () is a river in Ireland, flowing through County Tipperary and County Kilkenny. It is a tributary of the River Nore, and its catchment a part of the Nore catchment area.

To achieve partial circulation of the water, inflow to the centre of the pond was arranged at its northern side in 2011. The water of the pond originates from the eastern slopes of Šiška Hill, covered with mixed forest, and from the park areas to the west of the pond, comprising grass and sandy trails. Water released after power generation at Gandhi Sagar dam, Rana Pratap Sagar dam and Jawahar Sagar Dams, is diverted by Kota Barrage for irrigation in Rajasthan and in Madhya Pradesh through canals on the left and the right sides of the river. The work on this dam was completed in 1960. The total catchment area of Kota Barrage is 27,332 km2, of which the free catchment area below Jawahar Sagar Dam is just 137 km2. The catchment area below Wellington Dam for the estuary covers . The catchment includes part of the Swan Coastal Plain, the Darling Scarp and the Darling Plateau. The Collie and Preston Rivers are the main catchment rivers and enter the estuary from the southern end and with the catchment runoff discharging into the Indian ocean via the cut in the peninsula. Other rivers in the catchment area include the Brunswick River, Ferguson and Wellesley as well as numerous other creeks, streams and irrigation drains.

In the 1980s up until the mid-1990s, Evans High was one of the largest schools in Orange County. The student population peaked at 4,500 and in 1993 the 9th Grade Center opened to the west of the main campus. Lunugamvehera National Park () in Sri Lanka was declared in 1995, with the intention of protecting the catchment area of the Lunugamvehera reservoir and wildlife of the area. The lake is the last lake in the Sicklaån water system formed in an east- west oriented fissure valley. The catchment area is highly exploited with most of it used for one-family houses, block of flats, offices, industrial areas, and roads. On the southern shore are patches of hardwood forests, a few feeder streams, a promenade, and the old farm south of which are several minor wetlands. Salt Pan Creek rises west southwest of the suburb of Mount Lewis, within the City of Canterbury-Bankstown local government area, and flows generally south by east through Georges River local government area, before reaching its confluence with the Georges River, at Riverwood. Collingwood Park and its surrounds are within the catchment area identified as the Six Mile, Woogaroo and Goodna Creek (SWAG). Over 1300 species of plants, including grass trees and hoop pines, and animals including reptiles, mammals, birds, fish and insects have been recorded in the SWAG Catchment area, with approximately 90% being native species. Exotic, or introduced, species include: blue billygoat weed, groundsel, Chinese elm, salvinia, lantana, camphor laurel, cane toad, spotted turtle dove, common myna, fox and hare. Some of the rare, endangered and vulnerable species recorded around Collingwood Park include: the Powerful owl (Ninox strenua), Black-chinned honeyeater (Melithreptus gularis), Glossy black cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus lathami) and the Grey goshawk (Accipiter novaehollandiae).

Much of the catchment area lies on impermeable rock (including Weald Clay and London Clay), meaning that the river level responds rapidly to heavy rainfall. During the second half of the 20th century pollution levels in the river were high; however, since 1995 the water quality has improved dramatically and the Mole now boasts the greatest diversity of fish species of any river in England. Twelve Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) that include wetland habitats are located within the Mole catchment area, and the stretch of river through Leatherhead has been designated a Local Nature Reserve. The Mole Gap forms part of a Special Area of Conservation and is an SSSI of European importance.

In 1975 the lake reached its greatest height above sea level of , at which point its surface area was about 50% of its full potential. By 1994 it had not enlarged further due to a decrease in rainfall in its catchment area, and some extraction of water through dikes upstream. Rainfall in the catchment area continued to be lower than the long term average, and the surface area of the lake remained at about 50% of what had been expected; many dispossessed farmers who had been relocated claimed back their land. In 1983, a serious drought and extensive wildfires devastated the crops and the coffee and cacao plantations near the lake, causing great economic loss.

Terrys Creek rises about north of the suburb of , east of Marsden Road; with its headwaters forming the watershed boundary between the Hornsby Plateau and the Cumberland Plain. The creek flows generally north by north-east before reaching its confluence with Devlins Creek to form the Lane Cove River, north-east of the suburb of , in Lane Cove National Park. The course of the creek is approximately ; and the catchment area is , spread over the Parramatta, Ryde and Hornsby local government areas.
