Born in Bogotá, Roa began his career playing for Santa Fe's youth set-up after catching the eye of club president César Pastrana. Following an impressive youth career with the club, Roa was promoted to the first team in 2010 and played for Santa Fe for nine years, winning three league titles, three Superligas, the Copa Sudamericana in 2015, and the 2016 Suruga Bank Championship. After his contract with Santa Fe expired at the end of 2019, on 11 January 2020 Roa joined Deportivo Cali under a one-year contract.
James, a young man starting with a large London firm of estate agents and auctioneers, is ambitious to get to the top. Dancesport version of foxtrot The dance was premiered in 1914, quickly catching the eye of the husband and wife duo Vernon and Irene Castle, who lent the dance its signature grace and style. The origin of the name of the dance is unclear, although one theory is that it took its name from its popularizer, the vaudeville actor Harry Fox. Two sources, Vernon Castle and dance teacher Betty Lee, credit African American dancers as the source of the foxtrot. Castle saw the dance, which "had been danced by negroes, to his personal knowledge, for fifteen years, [at] a certain exclusive colored club".
Born in Maesteg, Bowen first played for Northampton Town. He had only played 12 times for Northampton before catching the eye of Pat Whittaker, son of Arsenal manager Tom Whittaker. He was duly signed by Arsenal in the summer of 1950 as an understudy to Joe Mercer at wing half. He made his debut against Wolves on 24 March 1951, but only made a handful of appearances between 1951 and 1954, when Mercer finally retired due to injury. Arsenal won the old First Division in 1952–53 but he only made two league appearances all season.
Olivencia grew up in the city of Caguas and is the daughter of Hector Olivencia, a collegiate basketball player at Sacred Heart University who later became a player on the Puerto Rico Olympic basketball team from 1976-1984, and Gladys Gonzalez. She attended Colegio Catolico Notre Dame and played in several Junior U.S. Gold tournaments, catching the eye of University of Texas coach Susan Watkins. Olivencia was signed by Watkins and joined the University of Texas Longhorns in 2000. She won twice, was a three-time All-Big 12 Conference selection and was named the 2002 Big 12 Conference Player of the Year.

After their demise at the end of the 2001 season, Martins joined fellow A-League team Minnesota Thunder, where he scored 2 goals in 11 appearances. Mural locations were centered along the stretch of West Broadway between Houston Street and Canal Street. The most prominent mural, near the corner of Broome Street and West Broadway (pictured above), measured 10 feet by 50. The largest of the murals was located on a wall along the southwest corner of West Broadway where Grand Street intersects. This location appears in a montage sequence of the 1987 movie The Secret of My Success, in which a young Cindy Crawford makes an un-credited appearance walking past the mural, catching the eye of the lead character played by Michael J. Fox.

Overlooked in the 2009 national and rookie drafts as an 18-year-old, Hartigan was the subject of a tug-of-war between VFL teams Werribee and Williamstown; zoned to Williamstown, Hartigan wished to play for Werribee instead, to improve his chances of playing senior football and catching the eye of AFL recruiters looking for a mature prospect. Ekman spent his formative years playing in his native Sweden. In season 1993–94, after scoring four goals and five assists in eleven games for Hammarby IF in the Swedish Junior League, Ekman was called up to the parent team in the Swedish tier 2-league HockeyAllsvenskan, where he scored nine points in 18 games. Catching the eye of the Calgary Flames, he was drafted by the team in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft in the 5th round as the 107th pick overall. Cremins's performance at Appalachian State gathered him some national attention in the NCAA coaching ranks, including catching the eye of Georgia Tech athletic director Homer Rice. After Rice persuaded him to come to Atlanta, Cremins was hired as the Rambling Wreck's new head basketball coach at the close of the 1981 season, on April 14, 1981. Paoli succeeded in catching the eye of what historian and Puerto Rico state historic preservation officer Juan Llanes Santos described as "well-connected people", who moved the young woman to Spain in 1883, where she auditioned for Isabel de Borbon. The sister of the King and Princess of Asturias, Isabel provided her patronage to Paoli, securing singing lessons for her from Napoleon Verger who was, according to Santos, "the most famous singing teacher at the time in Madrid, Napoleon Verger." Paoli immediately brought her younger siblings to live with her, and, in 1896, with the assistance of the Royal family, secured a royal scholarship for her brother Antonio that would turn him into a world-renowned tenor.
Shelton came through the ranks at Walsall to become a first-team player, catching the eye of neighbours Aston Villa. He made an £80,000 switch to Villa Park in January 1978 but was to struggle to establish himself at the club. He made no appearances in the 1980–81 championship success and enjoyed just one more league outing before a £50,000 switch to Sheffield Wednesday in March 1982. The Italian mafia's association Cosa Nostra tried to influence the political and judiciary events also by resorting to violence, through the usage of explosives in order to spread terror. On December 23, 1984, mafia boss Giuseppe Calò organized the Train 904 bombing, together with some members of Camorra and with members of Neo-fascist groups. This massacre caused the death of 17 people and injured 267, for the purpose of catching the eye of authorities and distracting them from the investigations of anti-mafia pools and from the declarations of the cooperating witnesses Tommaso Buscetta and Salvatore Contorno. In 1992–93 Cosa Nostra returned to terrorist activities, as a consequence of several life sentences pronounced during the "Maxi trial", and of the new anti-mafia measures launched by the government.

Gwyn joined the rank of actresses at Bridges Street when she was fourteen (if we take her birth year to be 1650), less than a year after becoming an orange-girl. If her good looks, strong clear voice, and lively wit were responsible for catching the eye of Killigrew, she still had to prove herself clever enough to succeed as an actress. This was no easy task in the Restoration theatre; the limited pool of audience members meant that very short runs were the norm for plays and fifty different productions might be mounted in the nine-month season lasting from September to June.
Jonathan Arias Tenorio (born 18 April 1986, in Toluca, Mexico) is a Mexican football, who plays as central defender for Club Toluca of Primera División de México. Arias started his career in the Toluca youth team until catching the eye of then Toluca boss Americo Gallego. Gallego was impressed by Arias' leaping ability and fast reaction time that he described Arias as someone who in the future could be called the "Mexican Cannavaro", making reference to Italy's World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro. Arias made his debut with the Toluca senior squad on 20 August 2006 in a 3-0 home victory over the now relegated Gallos Blancos de Querétaro FC. He made his professional debut that day as a starter and played the full 90 minutes of the match.

Arnolin then moved to Portugal, to play for F.C. Pedras Rubras in the third level. After solid performances he attracted attention from bigger clubs in the country, and eventually signed his first professional contract with Gil Vicente FC, in the Primeira Liga. In his second season he scored an impressive seven league goals for the Barcelos team, catching the eye of Madeira-based C.S. Marítimo and signing a two-year deal in late May 2006; after only missing one league game in his debut campaign, he played second-fiddle in the second (15 appearances). On 12 June 2007, British sports channel Sky Sports reported that Arnolin was preparing to sign for West Bromwich Albion of the Football League Championship, after manager Tony Mowbray made it clear that the player was one of his summer transfer targets.
Taylor combined his playing career with life as a student at Sheffield Hallam University where he played as a centre back, representing the university in the British Universities Sports Association (BUSA) championship games, catching the eye of the Team Bath manager Ged Roddy, who picked him to play as a defender in the England Universities team at the 2006 British Universities Games. He joined Team Bath in the summer of 2006 to play as a centre back whilst studying for a Diploma in Fitness Excellence at the University of Bath. Many of the firms were forced to close. Faced with this threat, the remaining Bunzlauer potters, while continuing to meet an agrarian demand for traditional undecorated brown slip vessels, introduced new lines of smaller wares intended for display in the parlors and dining rooms of middle-class consumers. They began to experiment with colored glazes and application (spongeware) techniques, all aimed at catching the eye of an increasingly urban and urbane public. Born in Castellammare di Stabia, Cirillo started his career in the ranks of Reggina, and started enjoying regular first-team football after a 1996–97 switch to Serie C2 Tricase Calcio. In the summer of 1998, he returned to Reggina and helped them to promotion to Serie A. The following season was even better, with Cirillo scoring twice in 32 matches and catching the eye of F.C. Internazionale Milano, joining in 2000. After moving to Deportivo de La Coruña during the summer of 2007, Laure quickly went on to establish himself as starter in its reserves, eventually catching the eye of first-team manager Miguel Ángel Lotina who picked him to replace the injured Manuel Pablo against Villarreal CF on 13 January 2008, and he played the full 90 minutes in the 3–4 La Liga away loss. Laure appeared in 20 matches in 2009–10, mostly as a left-back due to Filipe Luís' terrible ankle injury– Deportivo stood fourth in the table at the moment (January 2010), eventually finishing in tenth position.
