Despite the team's cultural differences, David develops Cadwallader into a contender. Horace Wiggs, a hairdresser's assistant, visits the Majestic music hall where, owing to a striking facial resemblance, the front of house attendant, Matthew Platt, mistakes him for the Marquess of Brancaster, an intimate friend of one of the Majestic's stars, Delphine de Lavalliere. Horace is shown into the private box reserved for Brancaster and catches the eye of Florence Horridge, who is having a surreptitious night out with some girl friends. Platt introduces Florence to Horace, but their tête-à-tête is interrupted by her father, Albert Horridge, a nouveau-riche hatter. The Eagle The Eagle is a 1925 American silent film directed by Clarence Brown and starring Rudolph Valentino, Vilma Bánky, and Louise Dresser. Based on the posthumously published 1841 novel Dubrovsky by Alexander Pushkin, the film is about a lieutenant in the Russian army who catches the eye of Czarina Catherine II. After he rejects her advances and flees, she puts out a warrant for his arrest, dead or alive. When he learns that his father has been persecuted and killed, he dons a black mask and becomes an outlaw. Prints currently exist in the film holdings of EmGee Film Library and in private film collections.

A recently graduated art school designer joins a wallpaper manufacturing company and catches the eye of a married middle manager. They begin a workplace affair during their lunchtime breaks, but their attempts to find privacy are continually thwarted. The man eventually locates a small hotel where he books a room for just one hour, but then feels the need to invent a hugely complicated tale to tell the hotel manager about a troubled marriage and a wife travelling down from Scarborough for a heart-to-heart. The still-suspicious hotel manageress continually interrupts the couple and, as the man slowly tells the story to his would-be lover, she starts to believe the whole fantasy.

Frank and Laura Benton (Stephen Mendel and Jennifer McComb) are a homeless father and daughter, respectively (in the two- part season 3 episode "Home for Christmas"), who catches the eye of Zack and the gang around Christmas time. In 1938, while Spain is in the grip of civil war, a film team from territory held by Franco's rebels are invited to the co-production in Berlin of a musical set in 19th- century Andalucia, to be shot in separate Spanish and German versions. At first happy to be working away from their war-torn country, the group find life under Nazism increasingly unpleasant and dangerous. Macarena, their attractive star, soon catches the eye of Goebbels, the Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, who is determined to bed her. Though she finds him repulsive, and prefers the company of Blas, the married director of the Spanish version, it is made clear to her that for the sake of the project and of Hispano-German relations she must comply.

After visiting a bar together, they later have sex, although Ferdy admits it is a mistake and he is engaged to be married. Whilst drunk, Warren phones Ferdy, but ends up mistakenly confessing what has happened to Ferdy’s father.

Almost giving an idle impression of not wanting to sell anything, they are notorious for not releasing anything for years, and those that are available are very difficult to find. The Band regularly cites British Bands and Artists such as The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, The Cult, Bauhaus, Peter Murphy and Fields of the Nephilim as Major Influences.

On his first day of school, Du-shik encounters Yun-ju while they are running to school to avoid getting punished for tardiness; a small purse falls out of her bookbag as she runs, which Du-shik retrieves causing him to be late. Sang-du and Ga-ri look on as Du-shik and other students who arrive late are punished by Mr. Jo, a strict yet highly respected math teacher. The English teacher Ms. Lee walks by the students and catches the eye of Sang-du, who is immediately infatuated by her. Later on in that day, Yun-ju and two of her friends get into a brawl with three rival classmates led by Ji-hye; all six get sent to the dean, but Ji-hye and her friends are immediately dismissed without punishment.

After arriving in Italy, however, Shingo gets tricked by a man who gives him fraudulent promises of getting him selected for an Italian team. After Shingo is taken to a badly furnished field, the man runs away, stealing all his money. Shingo realizes that he is swindled and tries hard to get his money back, doing such jobs as shoe-shining, until his enthusiastic attitude catches the eye of one of the coaches of Inter Milan (Intina in the anime), who sign him to play for their squad as an attacking midfielder.

With any chance of earning his freedom gone, Claude and Ray devise a plan to escape, getting as far as Tallahatchie before being captured and sentenced to a week each in solitary confinement. Twelve years later, both aged 37 years old, Claude and Ray meet a young mute inmate nicknamed 'Can't-Get-Right' (Bokeem Woodbine), a talented baseball player who catches the eye of a Negro League scout who tells the warden that he can get his sentence pardoned if he agrees to play professional baseball. Ray and Claude, seeing an opportunity for freedom, introduce themselves to the scout as his "handlers", and tell him that Can't-Get-Right will struggle to play well without them. Despite his talent, Can't-Get-Right is often distracted by his attraction to Mae-Rose (Poppy Montgomery), the daughter of the Camp 8's superintendent.

Ullock Pike drops away steeply on its eastern side to the little-known valley of Southerndale while its western slopes, which are clothed in woodland lower down, fall to Bassenthwaite Lake. When viewed from the north Ullock Pike is observed as a slender peak which catches the eye but from other directions it is seen as just a bump at the end of Longside Edge. Shortly after, an article in the Peckham Times about Boycie's discovery catches the eye of one Cliff Cooper (George Wendt) a billionaire American CEO from Los Angeles. Cliff then drives up to visit Oakam, and turns up unexpectedly at The Grange. He reveals that The Grange was used as an officer's barracks for an overseas US Army base near the village, and he was billeted there in the 1970s as a young army officer. Boycie and Marlene are quick to invite him to their home as a guest, and at the local pub, Cliff reminisces fondly about his posting at the village, sharing banter with Elgin (an old friend) about 'Cloud Day' – a covered-up incident in which a nuclear device stored at the local village leaked a cloud of steam through the village, and it soon emerges that Cliff was a lady's man, having had more than a few flings with the local women during his posting (although an angry Llewellyn storms that the American soldiers got all the girls because of their money, smart clothes, aftershave and regular bathing).

On October 27, 2002, a year after the release of Grand Theft Auto III, the New York-based British gaming company Rockstar Games releases Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which immediately shatters sales records, with 1 million units sold within 24 hours, and is universally acclaimed for its authenticity, scale and gameplay. Inspired by the success of the game, brothers and heads of Rockstar Sam and Dan Houser immediately begin planning and researching for another, even larger and more elaborate game, one that moves away from Vice Citys crime movie origins and bases its premise on the war between African-American street gangs in South Central Los Angeles during the early 90s. The following June, however, 17-year-old Devin Moore, a persistent player of Vice City, shoots dead several police officers as a police station in Fayette, Alabama before he steals a cop car. His case catches the eye of conservative Florida-based attorney Jack Thompson who, upon questioning Moore in prison and playing the game for himself, theorises that the game's violent content and alleged glamorisation of criminal activity may have been the primary cause for his rampage.
