Creed calls "Darnell" a "Chump", claiming he would have done it for anything of value, and that he has done "a lot more for a lot less". In "The Chump", Creed says his favorite James McAvoy movie is "Wanted". In "Whistleblower", when Gabe is interviewing everyone to try and conclude who leaked to the press that Sabre's printers catch on fire, Creed exits his interview with him, remarking that he's "very relieved" to "learn" it wasn't Gabe. Later, when the staff is arguing about the identity of the whistleblower, Creed states that he thinks they can all agree that it's either Gabe or Angela.

The press finds out that Sabre's printers catch on fire, and CEO Jo Bennett (Kathy Bates) shows up to the office in hopes of finding out who the whistleblower is. Everyone suspects Andy Bernard (Ed Helms), who adamantly denies he leaked the information, even though he was the first in the office to learn of it. Jo has Nick (Nelson Franklin), the IT guy, check everyone's computer to find evidence for a potential leak, and he is constantly harassed while trying to do so. Jo and Gabe Lewis (Zach Woods) interview everyone as well to find the potential leak, starting with Michael Scott (Steve Carell).

In contrast to man-portable flamethrowers that were vulnerable to bullets and shrapnel making them extremely dangerous to their operators, flame tanks were extremely difficult to catch on fire or explode unless hit with an armor piercing round or explosive reaching the ammunition and engine fuel inside the tank's main hull. Tanks such as the Churchill 'Crocodile', which towed the flamethrower liquid container behind the actual tank, held no greater risk of fire than standard tanks. Although the towed container itself could be easily targeted, the tank and its crew remained well protected.

Nowadays it is a famous filming location for many movies, including The Passion of The Christ by Mel Gibson, Christ Stopped at Eboli by Francesco Rosi, The Nativity Story by Catherine Hardwicke and Quantum of Solace by Marc Forster. In 1984, Centralia, Pennsylvania was abandoned due to an uncontainable mine fire, which began in 1962 and still rages to this day; eventually the fire reached an abandoned mine underneath the nearby town of Byrnesville, Pennsylvania, which caused that mine to catch on fire too and forced the evacuation of that town as well.

Sawgoek ("root script", IPA: ) or sawva ("insect script", ) was a mythological ancient script mentioned in the Zhuang creation epic Baeu Rodo (modern Zhuang script: Baeuqroekdoz). The primordial god Baeu Ro was said to have brought sawgoek containing four thousand glyphs along with fire to the Zhuang people, however the people in their unfamiliarity with fire, stored the fire under a thatched roof, causing the house to catch on fire. The sawgoek was consumed in the ensuing conflagration, and knowledge of writing was lost. Some Zhuang scholars believe that this myth stems from a vague remembrance of sawgoek in the collective consciousness of the Zhuang people long after knowledge of the writing system had been forgotten.

While working for the Metropolitan Opera Studio Company in 1962, he was awarded a Ford Foundation grant. In February 1962, at a White House performance of Mozart's Così fan tutte for children from Washington embassies hosted by Jacqueline Kennedy in the State Dining Room, Van Way was signing autographs when he accidentally tilted the three-foot-long ostrich feather attached to his costume's turban into some lighted candles, causing the headdress to catch on fire. Rudolf Bing, the manager of the Metropolitan Opera who was acting as the master of ceremonies, snatched the flaming turban off of Van Way's head; it was extinguished quickly. Van Way made his European opera début at the Nuremberg Opera as Escamillo in Carmen.

Cliff flies to and boards the airship, but during the ensuing showdown, Jenny accidentally sets the bridge on fire with a flare gun. Sinclair holds Jenny hostage, forcing Cliff to give him the rocket pack, but not before he covertly removes the chewing gum patch, allowing fuel to leak near the rocket pack's exhaust. Sinclair dons the rocket pack and flies off, but the leaked fuel causes the rocket pack to catch on fire, causing Sinclair to plummet to his death on fire behind the HOLLYWOODLAND sign; the resulting explosion destroys the "LAND" part of the sign. Lothar is engulfed in flames as the airship explodes, but Cliff and Jenny are rescued at the last moment by Hughes and Peevy flying an autogyro.

The mission includes being out of radio contact for 96 hours while under the Arctic ice cap, but the ice begins to crack and melt, with boulder- size pieces crashing into the ocean around the submerged submarine; surfacing, they find the sky is on fire. After rescuing scientist Miguel Alvarez (Michael Ansara) and his dog at Ice Floe Delta, Seaview receives radio contact from Mission Director Inspector Bergan at the Bureau of Marine Exploration. He says that a meteor shower has pierced the Van Allen radiation belt, causing it to catch on fire, resulting in a world-threatening increase in heat all across the Earth. Nelson's on-board friend and scientist, retired Commodore Lucius Emery (Peter Lorre), concurs, saying that it is certainly possible.

Lim boldly chooses to use masking tape to fix the wall due to a lack of time before the Minister's arrival, despite the earlier fiasco. Obstacles are dealt with as they appear (including the use fire extinguishers as a replacement for smoke effects) until the final sing-along session on stage with the minister. During the sing-along session, Lim notices pyrotechnic cannons facing towards the curtain (kicked accidentally by the dancers during the dancing segment), and prompts the technician not to fire it; however, the technician mishears his intention as 'fire' and launches it, causing the backstage to catch on fire. In the chaos, the temporary wall sealed with masking tape collapses, providing an improvised exit route for the stage members to escape unharmed, with Chew valiantly saving Xiao Mei from the fire.

The following morning, while paroling prisoners at Brooksville, found Duke under attack by another Federal force.

A twin-supercharged Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano drift car made its competition debut at Formula D Long Beach 2018, driven by Italian drifter Federico Sceriffo, but was unable to finish the event after a severed fuel line caused the car to catch on fire. Federico and his drifting team, FFF Drifting Department, were able to repair the car and drove it for the first time since the crash at Formula D Orlando 2018. The car is currently competing in the US Formula Drift 2019 series. The car itself has had its 6.0-litre V12 engine modified with twin Rotrex superchargers with supporting modifications and now reportedly produces and of torque. It has also been modified with a body kit, a new six-speed sequential gearbox, a carbon clutch, Öhlins suspension, 20 inch OZ wheels and a Sparco ‘Drifting Pro’ seat, and has also been lightened to now weigh around 1,400 kg (3,086 lbs), almost 400 kg less than the 1,793 kg (3,953 lbs) kerb weight of a standard 599 GTB.

The cavity/plenum space is typically used to house the communication cables for the building's computer and telephone network; however, it has been proposed that the growing abandonment of cable in plenum spaces may pose a serious hazard in the event of a fire, as once the fire reaches the plenum space the airflow present in the space supplies fresh oxygen to the flame and makes it grow much stronger than it would have otherwise. Recent testing by ASHRAE has shown that, while flame spread is limited by accumulated cable bundles, other structural concerns may still exist due to increased load on suspended components. As plenum spaces are restricted from use as areas for storage, the principle behind removal of abandoned cable is that regulated removal prevents the use of plenum spaces as a storage area for abandoned cable. In addition, no high-voltage powered equipment is allowed in the plenum space because presence of fresh air can greatly increase danger of rapid flame spreading should the equipment catch on fire.
