The Earth Forces intend to destroy the PLANT space colonies but are stopped by ZAFT's GENESIS, a super weapon microwave laser designed to commit genocide on the Naturals. The Three Ship Alliance intervenes to defeat the GENESIS ending the battle. The war ultimately ends as a peace treaty is signed.

Jeremiah is subjected to a number of experiments by the scientists, now under Prince Schneizel's patronage, who enhance his body with various cybernetic devices, such as a neural interface and a cybernetic left eye. The latter also comes with the Geass Canceler, a blue, inverted form of the Geass with about the same capabilities as Rolo's Geass that nullifies any effects done onto a person by the Geass, thereby making them able to experience Geass again but also allowing them to no longer feel its previous effects. As the Black Knights take over of China is nearly complete, Jeremiah is sent to Japan by V.V. to eliminate Lelouch.

The research activities into Speech coding started even before the ones on speech recognition and synthesis, aiming to build equipment such as CODEC and echo canceler to be able to increase as much as possible the number of telephone conversations that can flow through a single cable (or satellite connection) without losing voice intelligibility. In the late seventies, studies and experiments led to the creation of algorithms to encode the telephonic speech signal and set-up the European regulation CCITT known as encoding A-law (8-bit logarithm encoding law "A" for audio signal 8 kHz band limited). In subsequent years they built stronger codecs (used telephone exchanges) and, within the PAN-Europe consortium GSM, the codec to use in second-generation mobile phones.

Additionally, River Song's high heels from "The Time of Angels"/"Flesh and Stone" (2010), the mass canceler from second series finale "Doomsday", a Supreme Dalek head from fourth series finale, "The Stolen Earth"/"Journey's End" (2008), a Dalek tommy gun from "Daleks in Manhattan"/"Evolution of the Daleks" (2007), the restraining chair which held both the Master and the Doctor in "The End of Time", and a Cyberman head are contained within the Archive.
