Clint Williams bought the Grand Pacific Junction in 1989. Williams saw a need to restore the Grand Pacific Junction, as the buildings were in very poor condition and falling apart. Williams had a history in restoration, as in 1978, he converted an old Shell Gas Station into his realtor business building. Williams saw this as an opportunity to revive the history that this junction once had.

The Vancouver Lookout tourist attraction, located atop the Harbour Centre business building, was officially opened on August 13, 1977 by Neil Armstrong, whose footprint was imprinted onto cement and was on display on the viewing/observation deck until it was lost (or stolen) during renovations. Compugen was founded by Harry Zarek in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Harry initially developed an interest in personal computing while he was finishing his PhD in physics at the University of Toronto. In 1981, he started a business building computers in the garage of his Toronto home and Compugen (short for Computer Generation) was created. Built in 1960 and named after Jesse Knight, the building was first occupied by the BYU Commercial College (or business school). The Mt. Vernon Car Manufacturing Company opened in 1889 after moving from Litchfield, Illinois. This relocation may have been an outgrowth of the relief efforts following the tornado. The Louisville and Nashville Railroad hauled in some 1,900 carloads of supplies for reconstruction of the town. Somehow, this effort translated into a major business building railroad cars, at first building about ten cars per day.

Untitled (L's), a public sculpture by American artist David Von Schlegell, is located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis campus, which is near downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The sculpture is located just north of Joseph Taylor Hall in a grassy courtyard adjacent to Michigan Street. Stayton had been a Methodist minister, who originally arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1873, where he served as a missionary in Yakima, Washington until 1889, when he came to Catlin, which is now west Kelso, Washington. At Kelso, Stayton built the first Methodist church, and then entered the steamboat business, building Nestor and holding an ownership interest in the Kelso-Catlin ferry, which crossed the Cowlitz river before it was bridged.

Matamp founder, Mat Mathias, started the company RadioCraft by 1946. Guy Street (officially in ) is a north-south street located in downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Concordia University's Integrated Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Complex is located on this street, as is the John Molson School of Business building. The street is home to the Guy- Concordia Metro station. Guy Street runs through the Little Burgundy and Shaughnessy Village neighbourhoods, and the recently named Quartier Concordia district, before changing to Côte-des-Neiges Road, above Sherbrooke Street.

He patented a method of grinding cocoa beans using a Watt steam engine resulting in factory techniques being introduced into the cocoa business, building a plant in Union Street, Bristol. UNO's newer chemical- sciences annex is designed like a steam boat and many of the newer lecture buildings on campus have similar shapes to the original science and liberal arts buildings without the interior courtyards due to limited space on the main campus. Throughout the years, additional buildings were built to accommodate a larger student body. These include Milneburg Hall (the original business building now a satellite building to the college of liberal arts), the University Center, the Earl K. Long Library, the Administration Building, the Geology/Psychology Building, the Engineering Building, the Life Sciences Complex (Phase 1: the Computer Center, Phase 2: the Biology Building, and Phase 3: the Mathematics Building), the Chemical-Sciences Annex, and Kirschman Hall (the new business building).

Volpe was born on December 8, 1908 in Wakefield, Massachusetts.Kilgore, pp. 19-20 He was the son of Italian immigrants Vito and Filomena (née Benedetto) Volpe, who had come from Pescosansonesco, Abruzzo to Boston's North End on the SS Canopic in 1905; his father was in the construction business. Volpe attended the Wentworth Institute (later known as the Wentworth Institute of Technology) in Boston where he majored in architectural construction and entered the construction business, building his own firm in 1930.

In 1889 a wood frame building was built, and the 1872 building was again used as the jail. In 1895 the city of Olivia won a battle to become the county seat, and court business was held in a local business building. A court decision returned the county seat to Beaver Falls for two years, but then Olivia finally won the county seat permanently in 1900. Architect Fremont D. Orff from Minneapolis designed the building, which was built at a cost of $88,000.

Cherry Hill Park was developed by Byron Lewis (BL) Radford beginning in 1956 or 1957.Mr. Radford started his family construction business building homes in Roanoke after moving his family of nine from the coal fields of West Virginia. He built, among other projects, one of Roanoke County's first subdivisions, Blue Hills Addition, on land that is now in Roanoke City. His son, Frank joined the business after graduation from Virginia Tech in 1958, and took over the operations six years later.

Prashant Shanker Pathak (born 1972) is an Indo-Canadian investor and businessman who lives in Toronto. He is managing partner of ReichmannHauer Capital Partners, a business building oriented principal investing and private equity firm based in Toronto. The reopening of the theatre took place on June 21, 1953 on the occasion of the Kiel Week, again with a performance of Fidelio. In 1972 the reconstruction of the "Kleine Kiel" stairs was started. In the same year, the foundation stone for the erection of the business building was laid on the corner of Rathausstraße / Fleethörn. The completely black-glazed building according to a design by Werner Kallmorgen has no obvious connection with the architecture of the original ensemble.

The Lundy-Fetterman Museum & Exhibit Hall is located in the Lundy–Fetterman School of Business Building on the main campus at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. The museum and exhibit has nearly 175 animals from the Burrows T. & Mabel L. Lundy Collection. The collection changes from time-to-time and is open year-round for students, area residents and visitors. The museum is home to a life-size brown bear, polar bear, zebra, leopard, gnu, impala, and rhinoceros, along with other animals.

He later found regular success when competing in Grasstrack. When riding in Grasstrack, Hagon started to develop a racing machine, with the assistance of Essex motorcycle dealer and competition sponsor Tom Kirby, creating a lightweight bike powered by a JAP engine. Coolidge was born in Westminster, Massachusetts, son of Frederick Spaulding Coolidge. Through his father, he was descended from both John Coolidge (1604–1691) and Thomas Hastings who came from the East Anglia region of England to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, in 1630 and 1634 respectively. After attending public schools and Bryant & Stratton Commercial College at its former Boston, Massachusetts campus, Coolidge worked with his father's company in manufacturing chairs and rattan. He later worked in the contracting business, building street railways, water works, and bridges.

The school, modeled after a junior college, consists of twelve permanent buildings that were originally constructed with the open classroom concept in mind. In 1980 Barbe added a science and art building as well as a new gym. Since then two new pod buildings, a new Stadium, and a Science and Business Building have been added, and the entire school has been completely renovated. The school's first student-run policy journal, The Policy Forum at Mills, was successfully launched in 2013, and provides a forum for policy solutions and analysis to its students, as well as allowing for discourse on published issues.

In the 1950s, the college was reorganized into six departments and renamed the College of Business Administration. In 1994, the college moved to its present location, the Pappajohn Business Building, at the corner of Clinton and Market Street. In 2008, Tippie became the new home for the Consortium Institute for Management and Business Analysis (CIMBA). In a university news article, the dean said, "We are delighted that we have the opportunity to broaden the global footprint of the Tippie College of Business and the University of Iowa".

Upon their death the building was taken over by Henry Henking, who had worked for the Gruendlers. He changed the name of the hotel and remodeled its facade in a Georgian Revival style. His son Gus took over the business upon his death in 1906, and further expanded the business, building the adjacent banquet space. The hotel was strategically located opposite an entrance to the railroad station, and the business of the small family-run hotel was good despite competition from larger hotels nearby.

They later moved their corporate offices to Rochester, New Hampshire. The three brothers continued to expand the business, building a vulcanized fibre mill in Tonawanda, New York in 1911, and a fourth leatherboard mill at a second location in Milton in 1913. The Tippie College of Business, also known as Tippie, is the business school located at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. Established as the College of Commerce in 1921, Tippie is one of the oldest and highest-ranked business schools in the United States. The college is named after 1949 graduate Henry B. Tippie, marking the first academic division at the University of Iowa to be named after an alumnus. A powerful hurricane and a 10-foot storm surge crossed the island on September 29, 1896. The Faber mill was destroyed and the island was wrecked except for a few houses. The cedar forests that fed the mills on Atsena Otie Key had mostly been cut over, and the mill companies did not consider it worth while to rebuild. First opening in August 1950, Riverview Rural High School was built on the former site of the Keefe farm in Coxheath, and overlooks Sydney River, from which its name is derived. The original Senior High was located on the second floor of a business building at 308 Allegheny Street before eventually moving to 1000 Hewitt Street, or where the current Junior High is today. Prior to 1956, elementary schools in the district included seventh and eighth grade. Overcrowding in Frankstown and Duncansville led to a joint board and the department of Public Instruction to approve an addition to the Senior High, which became the new Junior High school. The Junior and Senior high co-existed and brought relief to the elementary schools since the seventh and eighth grades transferred.

The first recorded town hall in Liverpool was in 1515 and it was probably a thatched building. and was located in the block bounded by High Street, Dale Street & Exchange Street East. An ore bin in Silver Reef Immediately following the initial silver rush, a town site was platted and the town was built. The first permanent business building established in Silver Reef was a store at the intersection of the roads from the Buckeye, White, and East reefs. By 1878, the town's business district consisted of a hotel, boarding houses, nine stores, six saloons, five restaurants, a bank, two dance halls, a newspaper called The Silver Echo (which later became the Silver Reef Miner), and eight dry goods stores. The School of Architecture moved temporarily to the Hayes-Healy Center and Hurley Hall, which had been vacated by the School of Business for its move to the newly constructed business building on DeBartolo Quad. The renovation also included an American Renaissance-style addition on the west side, designed by Ellerbe Becket under the guidance of architecture chairman Thomas Gordon Smith. The building was rededicated as Bond Hall of Architecture on Friday, 21 March 1997, presided by Rev. Edward Malloy, with speakers including internationally renowned architects Allan Greenberg, Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, and Demetri Porphyrios, who received honorary degrees from the School of Architecture.

Pete Nelson, the host of "Treehouse Masters" on Animal Planet, who has written six books about treehouses and owns a business building them, said it was "by far" the largest in the world. In August 2012, the structure was closed to public access by the state because it had become a public attraction but did not follow building and fire safety codes. John Dunlop was one of the most energetic and prosperous of those that went into that business, building Harmony Forge (1795), Belle Font Forge (1797), Logan Furnace (1797), and Washington Forge (1810). It was his father, Lt. Col. James Dunlop, and his brother-in-law, James Dunlop Harris (1797-1842) one time, Principal engineer of the Pennsylvania Main Line of Public works, who actually laid out the town, now a Borough, of Bellefonte from land that John Dunlop owned.

Bill Hedworth was born into a family business, building racing skiffs on the Tyne, but trained as a pattern maker, and as a young man played first classical piano and then violin. Uncertainty of employment meant that he later qualified as a teacher in both woodwork and metalwork, becoming a registered silversmith in 1946. This variety of skills meant that he was well qualified to attempt the manufacture of a number of different musical instruments over the years, as well as numerous other items, from church silver to furniture and coffins. For fifteen years he taught silversmithing at Newcastle.

Years before, as a student, Moskovics had pursued an interest in bicycle racing, and had made the acquaintance of champion bicycle racer Jack Prince. Prince, an Englishman, had emigrated to the United States after the end of his racing career and developed a thriving business building velodromes. Daniels College of Business Daniels is the eighth oldest collegiate business school in the country, and has been continuously accredited by AACSB International since 1923. It was established in 1908 as the School of Commerce, Accounts and Finance at the University of Denver, the oldest private university in the Rocky Mountain Region, founded in 1864. Its name was changed to the College of Business Administration in 1946 and then again in 1994 to the Daniels College of Business. According to labor historian David Brody, Hillman built upon the conservative job-oriented unionism that dominated the American scene, discarding his youthful radicalism and opposition to capitalism. In 1979, Robert Kogod, a major real estate developer and president of the Charles E. Smith Companies, made a major donation to rename the school the Robert P. and Arlene R. The Union High School Campus has five different site-built buildings which house the four different academic academies and the Student Commons, and a large modular unit. The five campus buildings are the Leadership and Business building (100), the Engineering and Environmental Sciences building (200), International Studies and Athletics building (300), the Visual and Performing Arts building (400), and the Student Union (500). The last building (600) is a multi-use building housing such programs as American Sign Language and Dance. Each building excluding the Student Union contains the basic core classes including math, general science, and English.

Located inside the western courtyard, CEO by Glenna Goodacre is a 6-foot, 4-inch bronze statue of a young businesswoman that her daughter Jill Goodacre Connick modeled for in 1985; after a previous attempt to purchase the statue when the building initially opened, it was gifted by Goodacre to the college prior to her retirement in 2016. Construction on the previous Rawls Business building broke ground in 1966 and opened in 1968. It has , 176 offices, and 36 classrooms spread across 13 floors, including a basement. The building is the third-tallest in Lubbock, and the tallest on the Texas Tech University campus.

In 1940, the "music building" (the small building west of the main gym) was added to provide a band and choir room, ceramics studio, and 2 classrooms; and the auto shop was added to the existing shop building (that is now the maintenance department). In 1941, a swimming pool was added; in 1953, the Ag building; in 1958, the J.F. Graham Memorial Gymnasium; in 1960, the business building, followed by the science wing and administration building in 1962. The home economics building was completed in 1963, and followed in turn by the library and tennis courts in 1964. The football stadium and bus garage were finished in 1965.

As the Pacific Canning Company prospered, Lew Hing diversified his interests into many other areas, including a personal interest in the Loong Kong Tien Yee Association, an organization for the families of Lew, Quan, Jung and Chew, and fostered the group in both Oakland and San Francisco. In 1907 Lew returned to San Francisco for added business interests. Given his natural leadership in the Chinese community, he became President of the Canton Bank of San Francisco, located at the northeast corner of Montgomery and Sacramento Streets. In the same year he also entered the hotel business, building The Republic Hotel on Grant Avenue (near Sacrament Street).

A view of Technology Square Technology Square, also known as "Tech Square", is located across the Downtown Connector and embedded in the city east of East Campus. Opened in August 2003 at a cost of $179 million, the district was built over run-down neighborhoods and has sparked a revitalization of the entire Midtown area. Connected by the recently renovated Fifth Street Bridge, it is a pedestrian- friendly area comprising Georgia Tech facilities and retail locations. One complex contains the College of Business Building, holding classrooms and office space for the Scheller College of Business, as well as the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center and the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center.

Curtin has three smaller off-site campuses within the Perth metropolitan area. The Graduate School of Business building is located in the Perth Central Business District in the renovated former Government Printing Office and the law school is located on Murray Street in the old Public Health Department and Chief Secretary's building, a listed building on the State Register of Heritage Places. Exploration Geophysics and Petroleum Engineering are located at the co-location research facilities of the Australian Resources Research Centre (ARRC) which also houses offices of CSIRO Earth Science and Resource Engineering and National Measurement Institute. Arturo Magni (24 September 1925 - 2 December 2015) began his career in the motorcycle sector in 1947 in the Gilera Racing Department. In 1950 he moved to MV Agusta's racing department and remained there until MV retired from competitions in 1977, when he had reached the position of Team Manager and Technical coordinator of Reparto Corse. In 1977, together with his sons Carlo and Giovanni, he started his own business building special parts for the MV Agusta range of motorcycles in his workshop, the Elaborazioni Preparazioni Magni (EPM). In particular, the most challenging transformation and most in demand by customers consists in replacing the heavy shaft drive of the four-cylinder 750 with a more sporty chain final drive.

Steelfab also manufactured front end loaders for fitment to many different tractor marques and models under the brand name "Horndraulic" originally under license from the USA. For some time Steelfab manufactured front end loaders for Ford and Leyland tractor which were marketed under the Ford and Leyland brand names by their dealers. The designer of the 800 and 900 digger who had joined Steelfab from the HyMac company later went on to design a scissor design tipper trailer known as the Power X System and later left Steelfab and set up business building mini excavators known as Powerfab. The Steelfab SF 122 loader was used to build the "Roadless 700" Tractor loader in 1968.

Montijo and Royer sued the film production company without success, so the California company was dissolved after the total loss of its major asset without compensation. Royer worked as a mechanic to pay off the rent owed to Kinner. Amelia Earhart, a close friend and employer of Royer, wrote to Royer asking him to keep some of the proceeds of the sale of her truck business after all the trouble he had with his aircraft venture. Kinner later loaned Royer $350 in 1927 to start his new aircraft production business building the Waterhouse and Royer Cruisair, which also did not go into production, but the plans were sold and used as the basis of the Ryan M-1.

Main doors Of steel-frame structure sheathed in Indiana limestone, with Deer Island granite at its base, the tower was advertised as “A Business Building for Building Business.” It has six wings stemming from a central tower. Though stepped buildings in New York City had been a common solution for Manhattan's strict 1916 zoning policies regarding adequate light and air, there were no such restrictions in Providence; nevertheless, New York architects Walker & Gillette chose to include the innovative symmetrical stepped massing, with the assistance of local architect George Frederick Hall. The base and the trim at the base's top were built to match the cornice height of existing adjacent (now gone) four-story buildings.

Huntsman's father. In December 2007, Utah State University announced that its College of Business would be renamed the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, in recognition of a gift from Huntsman and his wife of $26 million, a major contributor for the new $40 million school of business building referred to as Huntsman Hall—the largest in the university's history to that time. In 2017, Huntsman and Charles Koch donated another $50 million to the Huntsman School of Business for student scholarships and a new Center for Growth and Opportunity. Buildings on the Columbia Basin College campus Health Science Center The Pasco campus has seen substantial growth in the past decade, adding new facilities to accommodate the large demand for higher education from a growing community. Standout facilities include the Arts Center (P building), Lee R. Thornton Center for Science, Technology, and Diversity; Bechtel National Planetarium; Robert & Elisabeth Moore Observatory; the Center for Career and Technical Education (CTE); and a research farm. Recent infrastructure improvements include substantial remodels to the Hawk Union Building (HUB), Business building, the Library, the Science building, the Administration building, the Fitness Center, the athletic fields, and the I-Complex. American Motors's technologically advanced Bramalea Assembly and Stamping Plants in Brampton, Ontario, later produced the LX-cars – the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler 300, and the now discontinued Dodge Magnum. In terms of American Motors-related parts, some were used as late as 2006, when the Jeep Wrangler (the last new product introduced by American Motors before the Chrysler deal) was still using the AMC Straight-6 engine in some models, as well as the recessed "paddle" door handles that were used since the 1968 model year by American Motors. Both were retired when the Wrangler was completely redesigned for the 2007 model year. AM General, sold by American Motors in 1982, is still in business building the American Motors-designed Humvee for American and allied militaries.

Brotherhood Church, Southgate Road, London Joseph Stalin, Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky visited Southgate Road for the 5th Congress of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party in 1907, which was held at the Brotherhood Church which once stood on the corner of Southgate Road and Balmes Road. The site is now occupied by a mixed-use residential and business building, with the exact site of the church now a Tesco Express shop. In the 1950s the area was a popular area for musicians and artists, so much so that Salvador Dalí and Buddy Holly opened a short lived nightclub called the Loyala on the corner on Balls Pond Road. It closed down after three months due to the lack of a licence.

The new Darla Moore School of Business building In August 2014, the Moore School took occupancy of its new home located at the corner of Assembly and Greene streets in downtown Columbia, SC. The building has created buzz not only for its iconic design by Rafael Viñoly Architects of New York, but also for its green features. The building's cantilevered and glass design maximize natural light within and, with its open interior, encourage openness and collaboration. The main level houses a visitors' center, a cafe, a trading room, and an expansive, open-air courtyard. The third and fourth levels will provide views below of the Palmetto Court, a green space that features groupings of sable palms, and the Pavilion, which will be used for lectures and special events.

Ritter Library built during the Bonds expansion Bonds was a strong administrator and fundraiser. Bonds oversaw the construction over a dozen buildings at Baldwin–Wallace and a doubling of the college's enrollment. In 1957, Dr. Bonds initiated a 15-year development program for Baldwin-Wallace, which resulted in increasing student enrollment by 85 per cent and added Ritter Library (1958), five residence halls (Findley, North, Hamilton Apartments, Ernsthausen hall-1961, Heritage Hall-1960's), the science complex (Wiker Hall 1960's), the Health Center, Finnie Stadium, the College Union (1965), the Art and Drama Center (Kliest 1972), the Jacob Kamm School of Business building and the Administration building that was named after him. Bonds oversaw the construction of fifteen buildings during his time at BW during his 26-year tenure.

Seventeen Against the Dealer is the final novel in the seven- part Tillerman Cycle. Each category is run as a "mini business" (business unit) in its own right, with its own set of turnover and/or profitability targets and strategies. Introduction of Category Management in a business tends to alter the relationship between retailer and supplier: instead of the traditional adversarial relationship, the relationship moves to one of collaboration, with exchange of information, sharing of data and joint business building. The focus of all supplier negotiations is the effect on turnover of the category as whole, not just the sales of individual products. In the Spring of '97, Brice created the Virtual Assistance profession by founding AssistU–-an organization for Virtual Assistants, also known as VAs. It was designed to provide new Virtual Assistants with training, coaching, ongoing support through the life cycle of business, certification, community, and referrals to the members of the public who wanted to work with VAs. Brice's Virtual Training Program, a live, 20-week, intensive virtual training program that was offered from 1997-2011, contained more than 900 original pages of training content, and was delivered via teleclass so that it could be available to anyone anywhere there was a phone. It incorporated a feminine business model created by Brice which held at its core solid business-building principles, as well as inclusive support, teamwork, cooperation, collaboration, intuition, and a view to the long-term best interests of everyone involved.

This location is now part of the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute. Middlebush Hall was constructed in 1959 as the new home for the college, and it was named for Frederick A. Middlebush, who had served as Dean of the School of Business and Public Administration and President of the University. Cornell Hall, located on the Mel Carnahan Quadrangle, is the home of the Trulaske College of Business By 1990, enrollment at the college had significantly outgrown the more than 30-year-old Middlebush Hall, and classes had to be held in several other buildings. MU began to draft plans for the a new business building in 1994, and on September 18, 1999, the university broke ground on a new home for the College of Business, and it would be twice the size of Middlebush when completed.

The joint working arrangement between the M&KR;, the Ballochney Railway and the Slamannan Railway was working well, while the competitive pressures were increasing, and the three companies decided to amalgamate: they did so on 14 August 1848, forming a new company called the Monkland Railways. The new company took steps to consolidate its business, building a number of branches to collieries; a longer branch to Bathgate and a new chemical works there; a branch to Bo'ness; and eventually the "New Line" joining Coatbridge and Airdrie to Bathgate direct, via Armadale. The Monkland Railways company was absorbed by the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway by an Act of Parliament, dated 5 July 1865, effective from 31 July 1865. A day later (on 1 August 1865) the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway was absorbed into the North British Railway.

The courses and resources were relocated to the Melbourne Burwood campus in November 2007. As a Deakin campus, it was home to the Deakin Business School, Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI), and the Melbourne Institute of Business and Technology, which have since relocated to the International Centre and Business Building at the Melbourne Burwood campus.. The main building on the site was the 116-year-old historic Stonnington Mansion The sale of Stonnington Mansion by Deakin provoked public outrage as it involved the mansion which was at risk of redevelopment by property developers. The Stonnington Stables art gallery and the University's contemporary art collection were located here, but has since relocated to the Deakin University Art Gallery at the Melbourne Burwood campus. The Pentacrest reflects the Beaux-Arts in addition to Greek Revival architectural styles and the Collegiate Gothic architecture which is dominant in sections of the campus west of the Iowa River. The Old Capitol was once the home of the state legislature and the primary government building for the State of Iowa but is now the symbolic heart of the university with a restored ceremonial legislative chamber and a museum of Iowa history. Regents decide on location for business college – News Ground-breaking for the new building took place in September 2009, and the building opened for class in the Spring of 2012. The Rawls Business Building grounds feature three sculptures, including two from the percent for art program used to fund public art on campuses of Texas Tech University System member universities. A second installation was commissioned as part of the 2016 building addition; Illuminated Arboreal Data Codes by Koryn Rolstad, is a group of 13 tree-like forms depicting graphic elements of telecommunication circuits with four concrete bands extending from the watershed base, each engraved with a different text language: cuneiform, morse code, braille, and binary.

Mooreland Mansion In 1964, area residents met to consider establishing a community college in Lake County. After the group had gathered enough evidence to justify its establishment, the local League of Women Voters petitioned successfully to place the issue on a countywide ballot, and it passed in 1965; the passage of the related levy passed in 1967. Classes began later that year in various locations in Painesville; the college purchased land for its current permanent location in Kirtland in 1968, with classes commencing there in 1971. In 1968, 400 acres of land the community college is built upon, including Mooreland Mansion, was purchased by the Lakeland Community College Board of Trustees. The college expanded in ensuing years, including the construction of the engineering building in 1983, the business building in 1988, the Student Center in 1993, and the Health Technologies Building in 1995; the renovation and expansion of the library in 1997; the renovation of the Athletic and Fitness Center in 2000; the construction of the Holden University Center in 2011; and the addition of extension campuses in the Lake County locations of Madison in 1994 and Willowick in 1997.

New building for Spears School of Business In 1995, Gary Trennepohl becomes dean of the College of Business Administration, serving until 1999 when he was asked to become president of the newly created OSU-Tulsa campus. Finally, in 2004, The College of Business Administration is renamed the Williams S. Spears School of Business. Today, the college is known as the Spears School of Business. A record 1,031 diplomas are granted at commencement exercises in 2012. Four students were in the first graduating class of the School of Commerce and Marketing in 1916, and the school has graduated students every year since. On May 5, 2014, Ken Eastman is named Dean of the Spears School of Business following a national search. Eastman has taught at the business school since 1989, serving as an assistant professor (1989-1995), associate professor (1995-2014), director of the MBA program (1999-2003), acting department head (2002-2003), and as the head of the Department of Management (2003-2014). On September 5, in addition to celebrating 100 years of business education at OSU, the Spears School holds a groundbreaking ceremony for a new business building to be constructed just north of the current building.

It was around this time that the band decided to hire a regular bassist and move Sundrud to acoustic guitar and lead vocals, so in 1989, the band added Denny Dadmun-Bixby to join the band on bass and vocals. Sundrud first met Bixby when the latter was recording with Wild Choir, Gail Davies’ band (Sundrud's first road gig was with Davies in 1982.) The recording of the first record was slow and piece-meal since the band all had other gigs and needed income — Pahl was working with Don Williams, Bixby with Wild Choir and Gail Davies, and Young was doing sessions and had a growing custom-car business building cars. The band recorded when they could until 1989, but in early 1990, Sundrud was asked to join country rock band Poco after Richie Furay had left the Legacy tour (the Legacy tour and album initially featured all 5 original Poco members.) This was Sundrud's second stint with Poco, having been a member of the band from 1985–87; Sundrud's first professional band, the Minnesota-based Podipto, a regional band signed to GRT Records, had opened for Poco in 1971. Sundrud's Poco gig put off the finishing of the Great Plains project for a year.
