A number of previously title-less teams would win the championship in the following years, including the Coquitlam Warriors in 1991, the Richmond Sockeyes in 1992, and the Port Coquitlam Buckeroos in 1995. In 1992, the West Coast Junior Hockey League officially re-branded itself as the Pacific International Junior Hockey League. In 1994, the Grandview Steelers won their first championship since 1968, defeating the Richmond Sockeyes in the league championship. The Port Coquitlam Buckeroos and Ridge Meadows Flames would split the next four championship between them, until the Abbotsford Pilots won in 1998-99, and again in 1999-00 for their second and third championships.

At the end of the war the airfield was used as a prisoner of war camp and then by the RAF as a bomb store until its closure in 1955. The Delta Ice Hawks won their first title in 2000-01, defeating the Buckeroos in five games in the league finals, but lost the finals in four to the Abbotsford Pilots the following season. The next two seasons were won by the Richmond Sockeyes, who defeated Abbotsford and Delta 4-3 and 4-1 respectively for the titles. Abbotsford would defeat Delta in 2004-05 championship final in seven games. However, Delta would defeat those same Pilots the next year in six games.

Bionda was claimed by the Boston Bruins in the intraleague draft in June 1956, and would split the next three seasons between the Bruins and their AHL affiliates, the Springfield Indians and the Providence Reds. Over four seasons in the NHL, Bionda played 93 games, with three goals, 12 points, and 113 penalty minutes. Bionda then played eight seasons in the minor professional Western Hockey League: one year with the Victoria Cougars (1959–60) and seven years with the Portland Buckaroos. Bionda was the biggest and most popular defenceman of the Buckeroos during those first seven years of the team's existence.

Novak and Tuleja went on to play country western in Scandinavia and released the album King Harvest - The Prairie Dogs' Classic Country produced by George Doering. Their recording of "Looking For Love" from the album later appeared in the 2014 movie OK Buckeroos - The Life, Music and Good Times of Jerry Jeff Walker. King Harvest released their The Lost Tapes album in August 2007, and performed on TJ Lubinsky's My Music DVD entitled The 70s Experience Live produced for PBS. On July 14, 2012, the four co-founders reunited in Olcott Beach, New York as part of a 40th anniversary reunion of the band. Doc Robinson died December 11, 2012, leaving behind his wife, daughter and grandchildren.
