The Military William Order, or often named Military Order of William (Dutch: Militaire Willems-Orde, abbreviation: MWO), is the oldest and highest honour of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In 1994 the ABMP at Prix Futura Berlin was again financed by the competition itself. 2001: Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, Swedish Radio, Finnish Broadcasting Company, Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Organization (VRT in Belgium), and Radio Free Berlin are joined by Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF in Austria) and Radio France (radiofrance in France).
RSI Rete Uno () is the principal radio channel of the Swiss public-service broadcasting organization Radio Svizzera Italiana, which launched in 1933 as Radio Monte Ceneri. Broadcasting in Italian, it is receivable throughout Switzerland (as well as southern Germany) via FM, DAB, cable, and satellite. Until 31 June 2008 (when SRG SSR ceased broadcasting on the 558 kHz medium- wave frequency) it could also be received in large areas of northern and central Italy. The station identifies itself on-air as "Radio Svizzera - Rete Uno".
Magyar Televízió (Hungarian Television) or MTV is a nationwide public television broadcasting organization in Hungary. Headquartered in Budapest, it is the oldest television broadcaster in Hungary and today airs five channels: M1 HD, M2 HD, M3, M4 Sport and M5. MTV is managed and primarily funded by the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (, abbreviated MTVA). This government organization, formed in 2011, also manages the public service broadcasters Magyar Rádió and Duna Televízió as well as the Hungarian news agency Magyar Távirati Iroda.
From 13 June 1995, Cohen was a member of the Senate of the Netherlands. Between 1 August 1996 until he resigned from the Senate on 3 August 1998, he was also the parliamentary group leader of the Labour Party in the Senate. During his period in the Senate, he also worked for the Maastricht University, where he began a sabbatical year on 1 January 1998. In February 1998 however, he took on the function of interim- director of the broadcasting organization VPRO, lasting until 15 August.
With the fall of 1940, Lidholm began his advanced musical studies at the Musikhögskolan in Stockholm. There, he established friendships with two other students at the conservatory who were to become important composers in their own right: Sven-Erik Bäck and Karl- Birger Blomdahl. Over the following decades, these three men were to hold similar, and influential, posts at Swedish Radio (the state broadcasting organization) and the Musikhögskola. They, in turn, were to affect the growth and education of many younger Swedish composers and musicians.
La Première ("The First") is a national French-language radio channel produced by the Belgian public broadcasting organization Radio télévision belge de la communauté française (RTBF). It is a "generalist" station carrying a wide range of principally spoken-word and information-based programming, and is RTBF's main radio news channel. It is broadcast on FM, and digital (DAB and DVB-T), as well as being streamed on the internet. It has been announced that the Medium Wave service on 621 kHz from the Wavre transmitter has already ceased on December 31, 2018.
Some of his earliest radio interviews included Cal Tjader, Los Lobos, Gato Barbieri, and Carlos Santana. Rizo was the founder of Radio Chicano, a community and student broadcasting organization based at KCSB (UC Santa Barbara) that produced daily Chicano/Latino programming. Rizo was influenced early in his career by Chico Sesma, a pioneer Latin music disc jockey and bandleader, who became a friend and mentor. Sesma was the first to bring the mambo and cha cha cha to radio audiences in Los Angeles in the 50s and 60s.
Libyan Jamahiriya Broadcasting Corporation (LJBC) () was the state-run broadcasting organization in Libya under the rule of Muammar Gaddafi. It distributed news in coordination with the Jamahiriya News Agency in accordance with state laws controlling Libya media. Long occupied by Abdallah Mansour, the General Manager of the company has since January 2009 been Mohammed Ali Kilani, "poet of the revolution" and former manager of a production company. On 22 August 2011, the organization was rendered defunct when its channels were taken off-air by anti-Gaddafi fighters, which had entered Tripoli the previous day.
The Digital Video Broadcasting organization is developing DVB-CPCM which allows broadcasters (especially PayTV broadcaster) far more control over the use of content on (and beyond) home networks. The DVB standards are commonly used in Europe and around the world (for satellite, terrestrial, and cable distribution), but are also employed in the United States by Dish Network. In Europe, some entertainment companies were lobbying to legally mandate the use of DVB-CPCM. Opponents fear that mandating DVB-CPCM will kill independent receiver manufacturers that use open source operating systems (e.g.
Payments made to the station's owners by Rossíya Segódnya make it an agent of the Russian broadcasting organization, according to the ruling. The Justice Department, in a statement, said American citizens "have a right to know if a foreign flag waves behind speech broadcast in the United States." RM Broadcasting, LLC registered as a foreign agent with the DOJ on June 21, 2019. In DOJ filings, the Florida-based company acknowledged that they were paid $1,427,016.29, from November 24, 2017 to June 2019, by the "Federal State Unitary Enterprise International Information Agency".
Kalaallit Nunaata Radioa (KNR) (literally Greenland's Radio; officially rendered into English as the Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation) is Greenland's national public broadcasting organization. Based in the country's capital city, Nuuk, KNR is an independent state-owned corporation headed by a five-person board. Its activities are funded from a mixture of sources, mainly direct government funding but also limited on-air advertising. The public broadcasting organization in Montenegro is the state-owned Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG/РТЦГ), comprising Radio Montenegro and Montenegro Television. RTCG is a full member of the European Broadcasting Union since the country's independence in 2006. RTCG is regulated by the Law on Public Radio-Diffusion Services, requiring it to serve the interests of all Montenegro citizen, regardless of their political, religious, culture, racial or gender affiliation. RTCG is managed by a Council of 9 members, who are experts proposed by civil society organisations and appointed by the Parliament by simple majority.
P3 (Sveriges Radio P3 or pe tre) is a mainstream CHR-formatted station operated by Sweden's national publicly funded radio broadcasting organization Sveriges Radio. Its output (pop, rock, hip-hop and dance) is oriented towards young people from junior high school age to 35. The P in P3 originally stood for Program (Programme) but today has no official meaning and is simply a name. P3 is broadcast nationwide on FM (also digitally via DAB in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Luleå) as well as being streamed on the internet.
After the end of World War II the UIR was discredited as "German-friendly" in the eyes of many former member states. In March 1946, the Soviet Union demanded dissolution of UIR and establishment of a new international broadcasting organization, where all the satellite states of the USSR would be represented with voting rights. 26 members of UIR founded the alternative International Broadcasting Organisation commonly known as OIR on 28 June 1946. The dispute escalated when the ITU world radio conference was held in 1947 in Atlantic City.
Karl Heinz Drechsel was dismissed from his job at the GDR broadcasting organization in 1952 because of his fondness for jazz and was prohibited from organizing jazz broadcasts again until 1958. The founder of the jazz group Leipzig, Reginald Rudorf, held well-attended lectures on jazz, which also explained the culture of the United States. But they were stopped with disruptive actions by the state security organization ("Staatssicherheit"). In 1957, the Dresdner Interessengemeinschaft Jazz (community of jazz interests) was prohibited in connection with the trial of the regime against Rudorf, as a suspected spy.
RVU, the Radio Volksuniversiteit (People's University Radio), was the longest-lived educational broadcasting organization in the Netherlands. Established in 1930 by the Bond van Nederlandse Volksuniversiteiten (Federation of Dutch People's Universities), it was at first granted airtime by the AVRO and VARA broadcasting associations. A licence to operate independently was obtained on 14 June 1931 and RVU became a public broadcaster in its own right in 1932. In January 1983 RVU made its first appearance on television, broadcasting a small number of programmes on both Nederland 1 and Nederland 2, before moving to Nederland 3 in 1988.
Adebayo began acting in 1985, the same year he featured in his father's first movie titled Ogun Ajaye. Adebayo has starred in several Nigerian films, winning four awards as Best Yoruba actor at the 17th African Film Awards popularly known as Afro Hollywood awards at the Stratford Town Hall in London. He also won an award in the same category for the Best of Nollywood Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria Awards in 2012. Adebayo has a long list of movies to his credits, which includes the Sonto Alapata, Wura Ati Fadaka, Ma Wobadan and Buga, among others.
"You and Me" is a song recorded by Swiss group Takasa, a band composed of six members of the Swiss Salvation Army. Written and produced by Georg Schlunegger for HitMill Records, the song competed in the Swiss national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, Die grosse Entscheidungs Show. After winning the selection organized by Schweizer Fernsehen, the German language division of the Swiss public broadcasting organization, on 15 December 2012 the song also won the national final, beating the remaining eight finalists. The song's win has therefore qualified it to represent Switzerland at the 58th Annual Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.
The International Radio and Television Organisation (official name in French: Organisation Internationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision or OIRT (before 1960 International Broadcasting Organization (IBO), official name in French: Organisation Internationale de Radiodiffusion (OIR)) was an East European network of radio and television broadcasters with the primary purpose of establishing ties and securing an interchange of information between those various organizations responsible for broadcasting services, promoting the interests of broadcasting, seeking by international cooperation a solution to any matter relating to broadcasting, and studying and working out all measures having as their aim the development of broadcasting.
The two cooperated for years, before they started to work for the public broadcasting organization VPRO, where they first performed for radio broadcasting, and later took to making shows for television. Their first television appearance was in 1972 with the program Het Simplisties Verbond (The Simplistik [sic] League), with a carpet-beater as their symbol. The show mainly featured sketches whose returning intricate characters and running gags quickly became very well known in The Netherlands. In 1980 they changed the name of their weekly programme to Koot en Bie, a year later renamed Van Kooten en De Bie.
While a student at University of California, Santa Barbara, UCSB, Rizo began interviewing people on the air at KCSB-FM. In the late 1970s he was a founder of Radio Chicano, a community and student broadcasting organization based at Cal State Santa Barbara. Rizo started on Santa Barbara commercial radio station KIST AM, doing a public affairs show called La Voz De La Raza that aired Sunday mornings from 1975 to 1976. He served as program director for two years. Rizo hosted a radio show called Barrio Salsoul from 1976 to 1982, on the UC Santa Barbara campus radio station, KCSB, and was the program director at KCSB in 1978.
Antoni Fredrik "Ton" Hartsuiker (12 May 1933 in Zwolle – 8 May 2015Ton Hartsuiker overleden, press announcement Dutch Radio 4. in Utrecht) was a Dutch classical pianist, best known as a performer of 20th-century classical music, composer, music school administrator, and radio broadcaster. He was the director of both the Music Academy of Utrecht and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam,Speech upon the retirement of Ton Hartsuiker by deputy minister Aad Nuis and was also on the faculty of the Rotterdam Conservatoire and Enschede Music Academy. For 22 years he presented the program Musica Nova on Radio 4, the Dutch classical radio station, for broadcasting organization NOS.
At the age of 17 Andersen debuted in the Universitetets Aula (1920). He appeared regularly with the broadcasting organization Norwegian Broadcasting's studios, often in duet with violinist Ernst Glaser and the Filharmonisk Selskaps string quartet, where he bore the nickname «Kalle cello». He also mace quite a few compositions in neoklassisk style, like his trio for cello, clarinet and flute (played by Alf Andersen (1928-1962) and Richard Kjelstrup), his contribution in the competition to the opening of Oslo rådhus, and Harlequin in twelve-tone technique for piano (1957). In 1952 he received the first prize from the Norwegian Society of Composers annual award.
Ríkisútvarpið (RÚV) (pronounced or ) () is Iceland's national public-service broadcasting organization. Operating from studios in the country's capital, Reykjavík, as well as regional centres around the country, the service broadcasts an assortment of general programming to a wide national audience via three radio channels: Rás 1 and Rás 2, available internationally; Rondó (only on the Internet and Digital Radio); and one full-time television channel. There is also a supplementary, part-time TV channel, RÚV 2, which transmits live coverage of major cultural and sporting events, both domestic and foreign, as required. RÚV began radio broadcasting in 1930 and its first television transmissions were made in 1966.
Radio France Auditorium is an arena shape concert hall with an organ dedicated to the performance of classical music. Built as part of a major restoration work of the Paris headquarter of French national radio broadcasting organization Radio France, it is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris in the heart of the city. The Auditorium was designed to serve as the residence of the four musical ensembles of the organization : Orchestre National de France, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Chœur de Radio France and Maîtrise de Radio France. Fully equipped with audiovisual equipment, the concert hall is also a recording and broadcasting studio and a screening room.
Following the creation of the ERTT broadcasting organization in 1966, Tahar Melligi, Les immortels de la chanson tunisienne, Carthage Dermech, MediaCom, 2000 () a generation of composers and interpreters, mostly working in the ERTT orchestra, emerged. In this wave, the range occupies a prominent place. Kalaï Ridha, Salah El Mahdi (regarded as a disciple of Tarnane), Kaddour Srarfi, Ali Shalgham, Chedly Anwar, Abdelhamid Sassi and others helped to train several singers, including Naâma, Oulaya, Zouheïra Salem, Soulef, Safia Chamia, Youssef Temimi, Mustapha Charfi, Hana Rached, Choubeila Rached, Ezzeddine Idir and many others. Tahar Gharsa (another disciple of Tarnane) worked to promote the characteristically modal and rhythmic traditional music written with Tunisian Arabic lyrics.
On May 8, 1933, the United States-sponsored Insular Government established and operated radio station DZFM (then KZFM) in the Philippines on the frequency of 710 kilohertz with a power of 10,000 watts through the United States Information Service. In September 1946, two months after the Philippines became an independent country from the US, KZFM was turned over to the Philippine government. With the transfer was born the Philippine Broadcasting Service, PBS the second broadcasting organization after Manila Broadcasting Company. The station was first operated by the Department of Foreign Affairs until it was transferred to the Radio Broadcasting Board (RBB) which was created by President Manuel Quezon on September 3, 1937.
In modern Japanese academia, Amami's traditional songs were described by the term min'yo (folk songs), a term which can be found in Shigeno Yūkō's Amami Ōshima minzoku-shi (1927), Kazari Eikichi's Amami Ōshima min'yō taikan (1933) and Nobori Shomu's Dai Amami shi (1949). These authors were influenced by Yanagita Kunio, the father of Japanese folkloristics, who developed the concept of min'yō as a product of society and communal space. Takahashi notes that although Kazari's monograph of 1933 used shima-uta and min'yō apparently interchangeably, the revised edition of 1966 almost exclusively chose min'yō. The term min'yō also gained public acceptance throughout Japan when the national broadcasting organization NHK began to use the term in its radio programs in 1947.
Generation War (, translated as "Our Mothers, our Fathers") is a German World War II TV miniseries in three parts. It was commissioned by public broadcasting organization ZDF, produced by the UFA subsidiary TeamWorx, and first aired in Germany and Austria in March 2013. The series tells the story of five German friends, aged around 20, on their different paths through Nazi Germany and World War II: as Wehrmacht soldiers on the Eastern Front, a war nurse, an aspiring singer, and a Jewish tailor. The narrative spans four years, starting in 1941 Berlin, when the friends meet up for a last time before embarking on their journeys, enthusiastically vowing to meet up again the following Christmas.
From 1934 the north German station operated, under the name of Reichssender Hamburg, as an integral part of the national broadcasting organization RRG – now controlled by Joseph Goebbels's Reich Ministry of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda and known from 1 January 1939 as Großdeutscher Rundfunk. Externally, the Reichssender Hamburg transmitted propaganda material to listeners overseas – in particular to those living in the British Isles – and, during World War II, broadcast regular programming aimed at sapping the morale of the civilian population of the United Kingdom. Its most famous wartime broadcaster in English was William Joyce (popularly known, from his accent and speaking-manner, as "Lord Haw-Haw"). The Reichssender Hamburg was the last short-wave station to remain on the air in wartime Germany.
Radio 5 (also known as Radio 5 Información in 2012-2013 and Radio 5 Todo Noticias) is an "all news" radio station operated by Radio Nacional de España, part of Spain's state-owned public broadcasting organization, Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española (RTVE). It began broadcasting on 1 January 1989, following a reorganization of public radio services that took place after the dissolution of Radiocadena Española, and in its early years it included both conventional and local entertainment programming. In 1994, when Jesús Vivanco was director of the station, it adopted the format of a news radio station specializing in public service and current affairs under the name Radio 5 Todo Noticias. From a June-2016 survey, Radio 5 received 289,000 listeners daily.
Radio Clásica is a Spanish radio station, operated by Radio Nacional de España (RNE), part of Spain's state-owned public broadcasting organization, Corporación de Radio y Televisión Española. Launched in November 1965 as the Segundo Programa (second programme) of RNE – and subsequently known as RNE 2 (1988–94), later still as RNE C (1994–99) – Radio Clásica's schedule is made up of presenter-led programmes of classical music (in the widest sense) plus relays (both live and recorded) of concerts, other musical recitals, and complete operas. The station also showcases such genres as flamenco, folk music, zarzuela, and jazz, as well as "established" popular music. It is unusual amongst Spanish radio stations in including no news bulletins in its schedules.

In 1944, the callsign was change to KZFM, named after Frederick Marquardt. In September 1946, two months after the Philippines became an independent country from the US, KZFM was turned over to the Philippine government. With the transfer, the Philippine Broadcasting Service was born (the second broadcasting organization in the Philippines after Metropolitan Broadcasting Company). The station was first operated by the Department of Foreign Affairs until it was transferred to the Radio Broadcasting Board (RBB) which was created by President Manuel Quezon on September 3, 1937.
Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF – French Radio and Television Broadcasting) was the French national public broadcasting organization established on 9 February 1949 to replace the post-war "Radiodiffusion Française" (RDF), which had been founded on 23 March 1945 to replace Radiodiffusion Nationale (RN), created on 29 July 1939. It was replaced in its turn, on 26 June 1964, by the notionally less-strictly government controlled Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française (ORTF), which itself lasted until the end of 1974. RTF was both state-owned and state-controlled. With a budget set by the French National Assembly under the direction of the Ministry of Information, all of its spending and investment plans had to be directly agreed by the Minister of Information and the Minister of Finance.
Only a few days earlier, on 10 March 2020, deaf activist Machiel Ouwerkerk expressed his discontent at the lack of interpreters by holding up a protest sign behind NOS Journaal reporter Joris van Poppel during a live broadcast, which read (in Dutch) "Where is the sign language reporter during crisis situations?". This protest action was received positively by many, and the next day an interview with Ouwerkerk was published in the newspaper Algemeen Dagblad in which he again explained the necessity of having an interpreter in live television broadcasts during crisis situations. The Dutch public broadcasting organization NPO responded, saying that they were working on a solution. The following day, 12 March, NOS used Sluis as interpreter for the first time, interpreting that day's press conference.
In 1974, Lou Ottens, director of the audio division of Philips, started a small group to develop an analog optical audio disc with a diameter of and a sound quality superior to that of the vinyl record.Why CDs may actually sound better than vinyl , Chris Kornelis, 27 January 2015 However, due to the unsatisfactory performance of the analog format, two Philips research engineers recommended a digital format in March 1974. In 1977, Philips then established a laboratory with the mission of creating a digital audio disc. The diameter of Philips's prototype compact disc was set at , the diagonal of an audio cassette. Heitaro Nakajima, who developed an early digital audio recorder within Japan's national public broadcasting organization NHK in 1970, became general manager of Sony's audio department in 1971.
In 1958, Giordano reported on West German trials of Nazi war criminals for the Central Council of Jews in Germany (Zentralrat der Juden in Deutschland). In 1964, he joined the Cologne-based West German Broadcasting organization (Westdeutscher Rundfunk — WDR) as a journalist and remained there until 1988. In 1982, he published his most widely known work, Die Bertinis, a semi-autobiographical novel portraying the experiences of a family of mixed ethnic heritage (including Jewish) from the end of the 19th century through the end of World War II. In 1988, it was presented in a television series aired on the Second German TV network (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen, or ZDF). Thereafter Giordano worked as a freelance writer and wrote numerous articles about his experiences in Nazi Germany and about the dangers of Neo-Nazi movements.
Other public institutions on Wilhelmstraße include the ARD-Hauptstadtstudio (television studio) of the ARD broadcasting organization at the northern Spree riverside, the E-Werk techno club, the Topography of Terror museum at the former Reichssicherheitshauptamt site, and the Willy-Brandt-Haus headquarters of the Social Democratic Party of Germany on the southern corner with Stresemannstrasse. Many of the occupants of the GDR apartment blocks are recent immigrants, and there are a number of shops and restaurants catering to Russians and Turks. In recent years the City of Berlin has placed a series of historical markers along Wilhelmstraße, showing where the well-known buildings of the pre-war era stood. On 8 November 2011 a memorial in honour of the failed assassin Johann Georg Elser was inaugurated at the site of the former Reich Chancellery.
As a fresh voice in Dutch radio, van Diepen was recruited by popular broadcasting organization Veronica for radio and TV programs. This included the Europe-wide broadcast pop music TV show Countdown, broadcast on Sky Channel and Super Channe, which brought him to international fame. In the 1990s, television moguls Erik de Zwart and Lex Harding left Veronica and started Radio 538 and Van Diepen was asked to join them. From his daily drive-time show he went on to create the radio show "Van Diepen's Dance Department" where DJs such as Tiësto and Oakenfold would spin their vinyl live in the studio. When Dutch music video channel TMF (The Music Factory) was launched in 1995, Van Diepen took up a VJ role in a show called "Wessels Woelige Wereld" (translated: "Wessels Wild World"), which he hosted until 1999.
The Instituto Nacional de Radio y Televisión (Inravisión) was Colombia's national public broadcasting organization between 1964 and 2004. It was created by Decree 3267 of 20 December 1963, which declared that from 1 April 1964 the country's public radio and television broadcasting service would be provided by Inravisión, "a public company with financial, administrative, and legal autonomy". Among Inravisión's functions were to organize contracts with the programadoras, the companies who produced programs and aired them on the national networks; develop and execute the plans and projects adopted by the Colombian Ministry of Communications; and offer official educational, cultural and informational services through the country's radio and television infrastructure. In 1993, it also assumed the duties of screening programs, which programadoras were required to send 72 hours in advance, for purposes of determining if the programs were suitable for viewing by minors.
Kentucky Public Radio, doing business as Louisville Public Media, is a non- profit organization that operates the three National Public Radio member stations in Louisville, Kentucky—news and talk WFPL, classical WUOL-FM, and adult album alternative WFPK. The current organization began in 1993, when the Louisville Free Public Library, owner of WFPL and WFPK, along with the University of Louisville, which owned WUOL-FM, collectively transferred the licenses of the three stations to the community-licensed Public Radio Partnership. The organization has a board of directors which consists of 3 members appointed by the University of Louisville, 4 members appointed by the Metro Louisville government, 16 at large members from the Louisville community including the Chairman, and the organization's President. 2016 FCC Ownership Report for WLOU/WFPK/WFPL It was the first public broadcasting organization (not counting state networks) to unite three radio stations under a single umbrella.
One of his last films, , was commissioned and broadcast across the nation by NHK, the national public broadcasting organization of Japan, as one of their Minna no Uta interstitial programs. He died during the production of , an adaptation of the Kenji Miyazawa story of the same name for which he enlisted the talents of Reiko Okuyama, a former Tōei Dōga animator and animation director who had for many years abandoned animation in favour of illustration, including copperplate engraving, to aid in realising the engraving-inspired visual style envisioned for the film. Posthumously completed under the supervision of Kihachirō Kawamoto, it débuted in 1991 and was awarded with, amongst others, that year's Ōfuji Noburō and Minister of Education prizes (the latter being an NHK Japan Prize for achievement in an audiovisual work relevant to primary education) and prompted a special lifetime achievement Mainichi Film Award for Okamoto.
TV 100 is the first non-state TV station in Greece. It belongs to the Municipality of Thessaloniki, founded in 1988 by the then mayor of the city Sotiris Kouvelas, who served as mayor until 1989 and a year later, he founded TV station with national coverage in Athens, the New Channel and later Tempo TV. These two channels have worked together for some time exchanging programs and news bulletins. Simultaneously with the launch of the TV 100, the Municipality of Thessaloniki, aired for the first time in northern Greece several foreign satellite channels to alternative in the way we watched public television at the time, activity later followed the state broadcasting organization across the country. H range in the terrestrial transmission is limited only in the region of Macedonia but transmits digitally in Central Macedonia, but spread nationwide through the platform of Cosmote TV either through satellite or cable or IPTV with Conn-X.
Accordingly, to upload cinematographic works on internet, it is basically necessary to obtain approval from relevant authors, performers, producers of phonograms, broadcasting organization and wire-broadcasting organizations. Under Article 92-2, Paragraph 2, Item 2 of the Copyright Act of Japan, performers shall not have the right to make transmittable with respect to their performance recorded on cinematographic works except sound recordings. Under the Copyright Act of Japan, basically, rights of performers are established under the principle that performers should collect compensation for their performance in a lump sum when they first permit their performance to be utilized, and the allocation of profits obtained by utilizing their performance afterwards should be determined by the agreement that performers should enter into at that time. Such principle is established in purpose of promoting the distribution of works by gathering the rights on fewer numbers of people and preventing complicated legal relations from arising due to the large numbers of people related to the works.
To overcome the difficulties facing Japanese online content business mentioned above, there have been discussions regarding reform of the Copyright Act of Japan. Proposals regarding establishment of the "Internet Right" were made by the Forum of Digital Content Experts, a Japanese private research institute in 2008. The proposals mainly include three topics: (1) Establishment of "Internet Right" which is the right to use digital content including TV program, film and music on internet, and provision of such right to companies which can be evaluated to have sufficient ability to achieve the fair allocation of the profits, such as broadcasting organization, maker of a cinematographic work and record company; (2) Establishment of obligation to fair allocation of the profits; and (3) establishment of rules regarding fair use, by reforming the Copyright Act of Japan. According to the proposals, by such amendment, online content business can upload such works on internet by making contracts with parties provided with the "Internet Right".

Denmark is a member of the EU, and we would expect that the broadcasting organization of a terrorist group would not be given a free pass." While the station's general manager, Manouchehr Tahsili Zonoozi, an Iranian Kurd, acknowledges that the station maintains contact with the PKK, he characterizes it as an independent Kurdish broadcaster, which is not under the control of the PKK. The Turkish authorities have repeatedly made formal complaints to the Danish Radio and Television Board regarding Roj TV, but to date none of the complaints has been upheld by the Board, who have ruled that the TV channel has not violated any rules over which the Board has regulatory power.

The 6th (2001) winner Kurofune The NHK Mile Cup () is a Grade 1 flat horse race in Japan for three-year-old thoroughbred colts and fillies, run over a distance of 1,600 metres (approximately one mile) on the turf at Tokyo Racecourse in May. The NHK Mile Cup is sponsored by the Japanese public broadcasting organization NHK, and as such, this race is broadcast not only on Fuji TV (one of NHK's competitors) but on one of the NHK channels that cover horse racing (NHK General TV; the other, BS-1, covers certain other races such as the Japan Cup). (In Japanese horseracing, "Sponsor" doesn't mean the man or organisation provide prize money. They provide only the prize, cup, trophy etc.) Before the year 2001, it was the only colt and fillies G1 race that non- Japanese bred three-year-olds could participate, which led to this race being considered as the "Japanese Derby for non-Japanese bred horse" until foreign- bred horse restrictions were lifted in 2001.
