Adams is known for both his live productions and film work. He made his professional stage debut aged 9 in the Royal National Theatre's production of An Inspector Calls directed by Stephen Daldry at the Garrick Theatre in London's West End. " Rachit Gupta of Filmfare gave the movie 3 stars out of 5, quoting that "On the face of it, this is a fantastic Indian adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. But if you've ever loved someone without a sense of inhibition, then deeper in the recesses of its story, Ishaqzaade is a saga of love being more important than life and death." Daily Bhaskar gave the movie 3 stars out of 5, writing that "Brilliant performance by the lead cast, an ecstatic climax which breaks the typical 'happily-ever-after' ending, is surely one of the top reasons to visit your nearest theatre. People from metros might find it difficult to relate to the culture or political drama that involves frequent gun-firing.
In 15 November 1921, Potjes was designated Officer of the Order of Leopold by royal decree. Potjes was a virtuoso talent as evidenced by the brilliant success he obtained in each of his performances in concerts; it can be cited his Recital in Liège dedicated to the members of the Legia in January 1896; the one he presented in January 1897 at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, where he was applauded for his brilliant performance of works of very different characters: Bach, Tausig, Liszt, Chopin, Saint-Saëns, Rachmaninoff, Schumann, Beethoven, etc. And the "Piano Recital Beethoven", at the Cercle des Concerts d'hiver in January 1899, where he delighted the audience with a masterful performance of four Beethoven sonatas. After his 1965 debut with the Royal Manchester College of Music orchestra under John Barbirolli, he went on to success in international piano competitions, and his London debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1969. Among many concerto appearances, his most notable may have been at the Last Night of the Proms in 1976, in which he played Benjamin Britten's Diversions for piano left hand and orchestra. Afterwards the composer wrote to him, “Thank you most sincerely for that brilliant performance of my Diversions. I wish I could have been at the Royal Albert Hall to join in the cheers.” He was an enthusiastic proponent of the completion of works left unfinished by their composers, most spectacularly recording a four-movement "complete performing edition" of Schubert's Unfinished Symphony for piano duet, with Caroline Clemmow.

The team's popularity also appeared in the 2004 African Cup of Nations in Tunisia, where the crowds were heavily attended during that period.
Despite the team's mid-table Serie A form in 1995, Savićević continually played well for Milan in the Champions League en route to their third successive final that, for him, culminated in a spectacular semi-final versus Paris SG, where he scored twice in the return leg at San Siro.Milan-PSG 2:0;UEFA Champions League, 19 April 1995 Before that in the first leg Savićević set up Boban in injury time for the game's only goal.PSG-Milan 0:1;UEFA Champions League, 5 April 1995 Despite his brilliant performance against PSG and his statistical importance to the team in 1995, he was not part of the team Capello took to Vienna for the 1995 Champions League Final due to 'injury', even though Savićević insisted he was fit.
She improved markedly over the following two rounds, but on 23 July suffered major concussion after being hit hard in the head during a match against the Adelaide Thunderbirds, which required her to be taken to hospital. A brilliant performance against the Perth Orioles the following week seemed to suggest a quick recovery, however she was dogged with complications for the remainder of the season. In an attempt to regain her position in the national squad, Kydd attended the extended squad's first training camp in September 2005, but was one of several players forced out after succumbing to a virus. She was subsequently left out of the team for a practice tour of Jamaica and New Zealand in the lead-up to the 2006 Commonwealth Games, but continued her efforts to make the team for the Games.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the episode has a rating of 100% based on 15 reviews, with the critics' consensus stating, "Guided by Jeremy Strong's brilliant performance, series creator Jesse Armstrong reverses course and delivers a seriously satisfying season finale in "This Is Not for Tears."" Sophie Gilbert of The Atlantic felt the episode was the series' "most gorgeous episode to date" due to the location choices, describing Mylod's direction as having the "visual poetry and psychosexual familial tension of a late Bertolucci movie, or one by Luca Guadagnino." Randall Colburn of The A.V. Club gave the episode an A-, praising Strong and Cox's performances and the satisfying payoff of the arc between Logan and Kendall.
It was in 1910 that he first showed signs of his abilities, taking 91 wickets for Warwickshire at a cost of 22 each and in all matches taking over 100 wickets for the first time despite a wet summer that would not suit his bowling. For the Gentlemen against the Players, he took 4 for 34 in the second innings at The Oval and repeated those figures exactly the following week at Lord's. This, however, was not a brilliant performance give that the central part of the Lord's square that year was so worn the ball consistently kept low. However, on good wickets Foster was regarded so highly he played for the Rest of England against Kent (who had dominated the season more completely than any side since Yorkshire in 1901), but he never found his length.

Expanding to two drivers with René Arnoux joining Jabouille, the team continued to struggle although Jabouille earned a pole position in South Africa. By mid-season, both drivers had a new ground-effect car, the RS10, and at Dijon for the French Grand Prix the team legitimised itself with a brilliant performance in a classic race. The two Renaults were on the front row in qualifying, and pole-sitter Jabouille won the race, the first driver in a turbo-charged car to do so, while Arnoux and Gilles Villeneuve were involved in an extremely competitive duel for second, Arnoux narrowly getting beaten to the line. While Jabouille ran into hard times after that race, Arnoux finished a career-high second at Silverstone in the following race and then repeated that at the Glen, proving it was not a fluke.
Due to his useless arrogant claim, the Malaysian football fans took their revenge on him by declaring him as "Bodoh" and sarcastic "Mimpi indah, Chatchai cincai" which means "Stupid" and "Sweet dreams, moron Chatchai" respectively. As the revenge message were massively take a toll on his social media, he decided to set his private media such as Instagram to "private" to contain his own shame. Chatchai drew further criticisms from fans alike for his disastrous opening performance of Thailand in the 2019 AFC Asian Cup, which his mistakes caused his side to suffer an unwanted 1–4 defeat to underdog India, leading to poor rating of him. Because of this, he lost his position to a more experienced and leading Buriram United's Siwarak Tedsungnoen, who would gain reputation for his brilliant performance in later matches that helped Thailand to qualify for the knockout stage since 1972.
For this, the following letter was issued: "His Imperial and Royal Apostolic Majesty, in gracious recognition of late of the exceptionally meritorious achievements by the Imperial Royal Landwehr, which fought throughout the recent war alongside troops of the Imperial and Royal Army, demonstrating stalwart and faithful discharge of duty before the enemy, and repeatedly earning the very highest tribute, graciously condescends to permit the Imperial Royal Landwehr troops to bear colours. In view of the design and material requirements of these colours, as well as their production and ceremonial presentation, they will only be available after the end of the war. This very highest act of grace is intended to spur the troops of the Imperial Royal Landwehr further to new deeds of heroism and, of course by further brilliant performance against the enemy, will prove they are worthy, time and again, of this most high honour!" Freiherr von Georgi m.p.
" Variety called it "a superbly human document, sombre in tone, stately and slow in movement, but always eloquent in its interpretations." John Mosher of The New Yorker declared it "an amazing triumph", and "a picture more intense, wrought with more feeling, than any other we are likely to see for a long time to come." The New York World-Telegram credited the film "a stunningly clever job of recapturing on the screen all the simplicity and charm of its author", and wrote that Hepburn gave "an unforgettably brilliant performance and that once and for all she definitely proves how unlimited and effortless an actress she really is." The New York American wrote "It is possible that with the passage of months the memory of Katharine Hepburn's portrayal of the sensitive, fiery Jo will be dimmed a bit, or somewhat superseded by later displays of histrionic genius.
Cunningham had the same threequarter line as the previous year at his disposal, and it was only shortly before the match that he opted for Poulton over Vassall. Vassall, for his part, was considered one of the world's best centres, and had made his mark in the previous three Varsity games, beginning in 1906, his fresher year, and in 1908 had played both for England against Ireland, and for the Anglo-Welsh touring side against New Zealand. In earlier matches, Poulton had played at centre with Gilray on the wing, but for the Varsity Match of 1909, they reversed places. The match came to be known as "Poulton's Match": within a brilliant performance by the Oxford backline, his contribution was notable, and his tally of five tries in the Varsity Match remains unrivalled. Poulton received only one cap for England in 1910, in the first international rugby match to be played at Twickenham, on 15 January 1910 against Wales.
She was praised by critics, including Peter Bradshaw from The Guardian, who said, "Watts's face metamorphoses miraculously from fresh-faced beauty to a frenzied, teary scowl of ugliness." and Emanuel Levy, who wrote, "... Naomi Watts, in a brilliant performance, a young, wide-eyed and grotesquely cheerful blonde, full of high hopes to make it big in Hollywood." The film premiered at the 2001 Cannes Film Festival and received a large number of awards and nominations, including the Best Actress Award for Watts from the National Society of Film Critics and a nomination for Best Actress from the American Film Institute. The surrealist film following the story of the aspiring actress Betty Elms, played by Watts, attracted controversy with its strong lesbian theme. Also in 2001, she starred in two short films, Never Date an Actress and Ellie Parker, and the horror film The Shaft, director Dick Maas' remake of his 1983 film De Lift.
Atwood debuted in the NASCAR Busch Series in 1998 at North Carolina Speedway with a modest 21st-place finish, but stunned the racing world upon his next attempt. At his home track Nashville Speedway in March, the 17-year-old Atwood qualified on the pole position, making him the youngest pole winner in NASCAR history, a record that still stands in the Busch/Nationwide/Xfinity series, but in NASCAR in total, it had been surpassed in 2014 by an 16-year-old Cole Custer in the Truck Series. A brilliant performance would follow, as Atwood led 104 laps and ultimately brought his No. 28 Red Line Oil Chevrolet home in 2nd place to Mike McLaughlin. Atwood made sporadic starts over the course of the year, none equal to his second race, but after moving from Larry Lockamy's part-time team to Hensley Racing in September, the driver had strong showings at Atlanta (where he started 36th but made his way to the front) and Homestead (where he claimed his second pole).
There is plenty of nudity in Auto Focus, but you can always glimpse the abyss behind the undulating bodies, and the director leads you from easy titillation to suffocating dread, pausing only briefly and cautiously to consider the possibility of pleasure." Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film four stars calling it "a hypnotic portrait ... pitch-perfect in its decor, music, clothes, cars, language and values ... Greg Kinnear gives a creepy, brilliant performance as a man lacking in all insight ... Crane was not a complex man, but that should not blind us to the subtlety and complexity of Kinnear's performance." Edward Guthmann of the San Francisco Chronicle called it "a compelling, sympathetic portrait ... Kinnear undercuts the seaminess of the Crane story, and shows us a man with more dimension and complexity than his behavior might suggest." Peter Travers of Rolling Stone awarded it 3½ out of 4 stars and added, "Schrader, the writer of Taxi Driver and the director of American Gigolo, is a poet of male sexual pathology.
His international debut came in a European Championship (Lisboa 1999) obtaining, with his first guide, Sergio Segón, a creditable fourth position in the 100 meters, which reaffirms its commitment to the sport, to the detriment of football, his passion when being a child. But its international explosion came two years later, in the championship of Bialastok (Polonia 2001), which was proclaimed runner-up in the 100 meters and the 4x100 relay. Two years later, in Assen 2003, he repeats performance with two new bronze medals in the long jump (6,06m) and 4x100 respectively, becoming one of the best European sprinters and jumpers and endorsing his status in the championships of Espoo (Finlandia 2005) where, in addition to greatly improving his brand in the length, he proclaims runner-up with a record of 6,19m and brushes the podium in the final of the 100 meters. His next continental appointment was Rhodes (Grecia 2009), which adds three more medals on a brilliant performance: gold in the triple jump (12,76m),silver in length (5,90m) and bronze in the 100 (11.90”).
His voice was considered intense and personal, and he became the narrator of important Spanish movies including Luis García Berlanga's Bienvenido Mr. Marshall (1953), Ladislao Vajda's Marcelino Pan y Vino (1955), and even the 1992 re-dubbed version of Orson Welles' Don Quixote. In fact, Rey acted in four different film versions of Don Quixote in different roles, if one counts the Welles version (for which Rey supplied offscreen narration in the final scene). His brilliant performance in the role of a demotivated and doubtful actor in Juan Antonio Bardem's Cómicos (1954), while showing him for the first time in a successful lead part, paradoxically, as he saw himself as the real incarnation of the role, plunged him in a professional depression, of which he did not emerge until his collaboration with Luis Buñuel several years later. However, in the short term, Buñuel's disconcerting public remark on Rey's performance in another of Bardem's film, Sonatas (1959), "I love how this actor plays a corpse", could only increase Rey's apprehensions.
Coco Vandeweghe, 2017 At the Australian Open, Vandeweghe easily defeated 15th seed Roberta Vinci in the first round 6–1, 7–6(7–3). In the fourth round, she pulled off the biggest upset of the tournament as she defeated defending champion and world No. 1 Angelique Kerber in straight sets. This victory, her first against a No. 1 player, advanced Vandeweghe to her first quarterfinal at the Australian Open and only her second quarterfinal at a Grand Slam tournament, the first being at Wimbledon in 2015. She then defeated seventh seed Garbine Muguruza in straight sets to advance to her first-ever semifinal of a Grand Slam, where she went head-to-head with the 2003 finalist Venus Williams. The orchestra's new focus was to be on Brooklyn itself, its extraordinary diversity, and the excitement of its new status in the world imagination. For his first season in 2011-12, Pierson conceived three series of programs, each developed with and performed in a specific Brooklyn community: the Downtown Brooklyn series focused on that neighborhood's history, the Brighton Beach series delved into that community's Russian roots and traditions, and the Bed-Stuy series drew on the legacy of rap and DJ artists whom that neighborhood had produced. The next two matches saw an improvement in their fortunes. Though both were lost, the scorelines were much more narrow. Firstly a 4–3 home defeat to the Maldives, in which Bhutan showed a spirited display to come back from 4–0 down in the final five minutes. At half time in the match, following a disagreement with team manager Hishey Tshering, coach Norio Tsukitate was sacked, his rigid methodology having created significant friction between himself and the overall team management. Secondly a 1–0 home loss to Hong Kong, the winning goal coming in the penultimate minute of the match for the visitors. This was a result that pleased the Bhutan Football Federation so much that they awarded all of the players involved in the match a Nu 25,000 bonus to reflect their "brilliant performance". However the improvement in their performances was not to last and a visit to China resulted in a 12–0 loss, and a home match against Qatar another loss, this time 3–0. Following their World Cup qualifying attempt, Bhutan entered the eleventh SAFF Championship, held in India between 23 December 2015 and 3 January 2016. Originally scheduled to take place in July 2015, the monsoon season and schedule congestion led to the tournament being postponed to late December.
