In 2015, after working with Randy Jacobs (founder of The Boneshakers) on the tour for Wild Heart, he and Abair decided to form Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers, which includes Mindi Abair (saxophone, vocals), Randy Jacobs (guitar, vocals), Sweet Pea Atkinson (vocals), Rodney Lee (keyboards), Derek Frank (bass, vocals), and Third Richardson (drums, vocals). In late 2015, they released a live album Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers Live in Seattle via Pledge Music and HeadsUp, which featured a performance from Seattle's Dimitriou's Jazz Alley in February 2015. In summer 2017, the group announced their first studio project via Randy Jacobs' website. Recorded over five days at EastWest Studios with producer Kevin Shirley,The EastWest Sessions, included 11 blues and rock tracks, was released on September 15, 2017.

In October 2018, Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers released their first blues rock holiday album, All I Got For Christmas Is The Blues. It debuted at number 7 on the Billboard Blues Albums Chart, number 1 on the RMR Holiday Album and Song Chart and number 13 on Sirius XM Bluesville. It featured four original songs including "All I Got For Christmas Is The Blues" and five holiday classics including "Merry Christmas Baby" and "The Christmas Song". In June 2019, Abair and The Boneshakers released No Good Deed.

Like the High Wheel bicycles that became popular later in the 19th century, boneshakers were front-wheel drive, but in comparison they had smaller wheels (only about 1m), and were heavy, with a lightweight model weighing 30 pounds or more.

He also performed at live events including Brixton Academy with artists including Ten City and Soul II Soul. He then co-promoted a series of raves at the London Astoria. He also had a weekly rave at Jazz in Purley, South London and became resident at House of Windsor. Pearce set up an underground rave label, Reachin Records, signing artists including Urban Hype and Boneshakers.

In the 1870s, cycling also became a popular activity in the South of England and Ripley was a convenient distance from London so that many cyclists would stop there for a break at the Anchor Inn. Sisters Annie and Harriet Dibble encouraged the cyclists so much that, in some years in the following decade, their visitors' book was signed with over 7,000 names – all arriving on penny-farthings or boneshakers.

Boneshakers began effectively in 1867 and St Cloud was just one of several minor meetings which DuncanH. O. Duncan's history, The World on Wheels. James Moore contributed to the book and had a numbered first edition. "It is inconceivable," said John Moore, "that James Moore did not go along with that account, including the claim that he won the first bicycle race with cranks and pedals." just happened to immortalise.

The third album was Live in Seattle, with saxophonist Mindi Abair, which was released on Concord Records. Two more albums were credited to Mindi Abair and the Boneshakers: The EastWest Sessions (2017) and All I Got for Christmas Is the Blues (2018). Atkinson also toured for ten years with Lyle Lovett, and sang on recordings by Bonnie Raitt, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Brian Wilson, Willie Nelson, Iggy Pop, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Barnes,and many others.

Bicycle- mounted NYPD officer in the 1890s Police officers began bicycling late in the 19th century, with the first department adopting boneshakers in 1869 in Illinois. British officers began using tricycles by the 1880s, around the same time Boston, MA was patrolled by penny-farthings. Newark, NJ had established a bicycle squad in 1888. With the advent of the safety bicycle and the bike boom of the 1890s, police bicycles came into widespread use in North American cities.

Andreadis performed vocals, organ, piano, synthesizer and harmonica on three albums with Carole King, and has appeared on her 1994 live album In Concert. He has also played keyboards on the Boneshakers' latest release. He has also contributed to the work of former Guns N' Roses members, including It's Five O'Clock Somewhere by Slash's Snakepit, and the 2001 album Rock & Roll Music, by the band Col. Parker, which features former Guns N' Roses member Gilby Clarke.

My main argument, however, is that the word velocipede was used generically to include all types of machine including even hobby-horses for which it was originally coined. They would surely have had wheels of less than one metre diameter.Letter 13 June 1997 Clayton replied: :I think your attempt to redefine the second race at St Cloud as the first velocipede race does not hold water. Velocipedes meant boneshakers, only occasionally was there the odd tricycle or quadricycle.

Their respective vocalists, who were friends, had no idea of the competition until the records had become available. In September 1980, former KISS drummer Peter Criss released a cover version of "You Better Run" on his first post-KISS solo album entitled Out of Control. In 1981, Pub rock band Eddie and the Hot Rods covered the song on the group's album Fish 'n' Chips. On June 28, 2019, Mindi Abair And The Boneshakers released the album "No Good Deed" with their version of "You Better Run".

Hillman was born on 13 November 1848 in Stratford, Essex (other sources say 30 December 1847 in Lewisham, Kent), where his father, also called William, was a shoemaker; his mother was Sarah Stitchbury. He became an apprentice in the engineering works of John Penn & Co. at Greenwich together with his friend James Starley, who became known as "the father of the cycle industry". Hillman and Starley moved to the expanding industrial area of the English Midlands, where they were employed by the Coventry Sewing Machine Company. Sales of sewing machines had declined, and to compensate the company had become the first British manufacturers of bicycles, using designs based on French "boneshakers".

In any event, Pierre Michaux's factory started producing crank-and-pedal driven velocipedes : two the first year, 142 the following year. Perhaps owing to dispute over the invention, in 1865 Lallement emigrated to The United States, where, with the financial backing of James Carroll of Ansonia, Connecticut, he recorded the first U.S. patent on a bicycle, in 1866. Meanwhile, by 1865, the Michaux family was manufacturing 400 velocipedes annually; their bicycles were on display at the first international bicycle exhibition in 1867, and by 1869, the Michaux factory, with a daily production of 200, began selling in the United States. Their wood and iron construction earned these velocipedes the sobriquet Boneshakers.

The Michaux velocipede had a straight downtube and a spoon brake. This type of bicycle was invented in the 1860s in France and first manufactured by the Michaux company from 1867 to 1869 – the time of the first bicycle craze, and copied by many others during that time. It fell out of favor after the summer of 1869, and was replaced in 1870 with the type of bicycle called "ordinary", "high-wheel", or "penny-farthing". Few original boneshakers exist today, most having been melted for scrap metal during World War I.Those that do surface from time to time command high prices, typically up to about $5,000 US.

In 1997, along with Kris Kristofferson, Atkinson starred in a 15-minute short film included on Don Was' album Forever's a Long, Long Time, which Was released under the alias Orquestra Was. Atkinson also performed as lead vocalist on most of the songs on the album, on which Was interprets songs by Hank Williams. Atkinson later joined forces with blues guitarist Randy Jacobs – also a longtime Was (Not Was) session guitarist who co-wrote the band's most successful hit, "Walk the Dinosaur" – in a band called the Boneshakers. Together they released three albums, two of which were studio recordings: Book of Spells in 1997 and Shake the Planet in 1999, both on Point Blank Records.
