According to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service commissioner, Shane Fitzsimmons, contact was lost with the C-130 water-bombing plane shortly before 1:30 p.m.

The Conestoga Company manufactures nineteen models of Big-Bang Cannon in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Lehigh County. A bombing plane, tank, boat and pistol were manufactured during the 1920s, firing on the same principle as the cannons. 1930s designs included a Giant Roller Coaster, Ro- To-Top, Spinning Top, Field Glasses and G-Gun.1929 Toy World Ad Repurposed for toymaking, the historic 4-story wood and brick plant is depicted in T. M. Fowler's 1894 "aerial" drawing of West Bethlehem, with ground floor access both from Connestoga St. on the 1st level, and from 1st Ave.

In 1912 he constructed with his brother Bolesław monoplane WZ II. During the years of 1915–1916 he built two tetraplanes, in which one was flying on the frontline. During the interwar period Zalewski built biplane WZ VIII (1919), reconnaissance aircraft WZ X (1923–1926), sports plane WZ XI (1927) and the first Polish four-engined heavy bombing plane PZL.3 (1928–1930; built in France as Potez 41) made in PZL. Zalewski also constructed aircraft engines with manufacturer Avia: WZ-7 (80 hp), WZ-40 (40 hp), WZ Bobo (10 hp), WZ-100 (100 hp).

He bailed out of his aircraft after a series of collisions in fog and was taken prisoner, but was released in an exchange of prisoners. Returning to Italy from Spain, Cenni was decorated, returned to the Air Force as a regular officer, and was first assigned to the 6º Stormo, then to the 51º Stormo. At the same time, he qualified as an aerobatic instructor. At the outbreak of the Second World War, Cenni asked to be brought back from Romania, where he was taking courses for fighter pilots, and was sent to attend courses to qualify to fly the dive bombing plane Junkers Ju 87, or Stuka.
