The class was designed to replace the ageing EF16 class locomotives used on the steeply-graded Ou and Chuo mainlines in the early 1960s. Two prototype locomotives, EF64 1 and 2, were delivered in 1964, built by Toshiba and Kawasaki Sharyo respectively. The basic body design was based on that of the earlier Class EF62s but with the more usual Japanese Bo-Bo-Bo wheel arrangement. Livery from the start was all-over blue with just the lower cab ends painted cream. Full production started in 1965, continuing to 1976 with loco EF64 79. Minor variations within the class included the discontinuation of the cab ventilation grilles above the marker lights from EF64 46 onward.
The Rhaetian Railway Ge 6/6 II is a class of heavy metre gauge electric locomotives operated by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which is the main railway network in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The class is so named because it was the second class of locomotives of the Swiss locomotive and railcar classification type Ge 6/6 to be acquired by the Rhaetian Railway. According to that type designation, Ge 6/6 denotes a narrow gauge electric adhesion locomotive with a total of six axles, all of which are drive axles. The twelve-wheel Ge 6/6 II machines (UIC classification BoBoBo′) are currently used mainly to haul goods trains.
Unusually for SNCB, the French heritage of these locomotives got them classified as B′B′ rather than BoBo′, being fitted with licence-built Schneider monomotor bogies. The locos were not very well-liked by their drivers and maintainers. Unlike Types 122, 123, 125 and 140 they were not indestructible.
The South African Railways Class 5E1, Series 1 of 1959 was an electric locomotive. Between 1959 and 1961, the South African Railways placed 135 Class 5E1, Series 1 electric locomotives with a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement in mainline service. It was an upgraded and more powerful version of the Class 5E.

The EF62s were the first adhesion locomotives used on the Shinetsu Main Line following the abandonment of the under-powered ED42 rack-and-pinion locos dating from the 1930s. They were designed to work in multiple with pairs of the specially-designed JNR Class EF63 "Sherpa" locomotives between Yokokawa and Karuizawa. While high adhesion was clearly an important requirement, the locos had to be designed with a low axle load (16 t, compared to 18 t for the EF63s) allowing them to be used on other sections of the Shinetsu Main Line with stricter axle-load restrictions. The need to reduce overall weight was one reason behind the decision to use the unique Co′Co′ wheel arrangement rather than the more commonly used BoBoBo′ arrangement.
The Jacobs bogie and bellows of EW 1806\. The EW class were ordered by New Zealand Railways from English Electric through their New Zealand agents Cory-Wright & Salmon in 1951 as a replacement for the earlier ED class electric locomotives on passenger duties. It was felt that the ED class was not suitable for this, and so English Electric was commissioned to build a twin-section articulated electric locomotive for use on the Wellington 1.5 kV DC electrified system.Articulated Electric Locomotives for New Zealand Railway Gazette 21 March 1952 pages 320-323 The new EW class was the first locomotive class in New Zealand to utilise the Bo-Bo-Bo wheel arrangement, which would subsequently be used on the Mitsubishi DJ class and Brush EF class locomotives.

NER No.1, Locomotion museum, Shildon FS Class E656, an articulated Bo'-Bo'-Bo' locomotive, manages more easily the tight curves often found on the Italian railways British Class 91 Electrification is widespread in Europe. Due to higher density schedules, operating costs are more dominant with respect to the infrastructure costs than in the U.S. and electric locomotives have much lower operating costs than diesel. In addition, governments were motivated to electrify their railway networks due to coal shortages experienced during the First and Second World Wars. Diesel locomotives have less power compared to electric locomotives for the same weight and dimensions. For instance, the 2,200 kW of a modern British Rail Class 66 diesel locomotive was matched in 1927 by the electric SBB-CFF- FFS Ae 4/7 (2,300 kW), which is lighter.
The electrification of the central section began in 1984, with the government setting aside NZ$40 million to purchase a fleet of 25 kV AC locomotives to operate the new electrified line. The contract to build 22 electric locomotives was let to Brush Traction of Loughborough, UK. The first two locomotives, numbered 30007 and 30013, arrived in 1986 and were used in the testing of the new electrification system, while the remaining 20 locomotives were introduced after the electrification of the NIMT was completed. The locomotives are able to generate a continuous power output of , making the class the most powerful to operate on the NZR network. They also feature the unusual wheel arrangement of Bo-Bo-Bo, which had been previously used on the EW class and the DJ class.
In the winter, their expected use was to be for freight. Thus, they became the most powerful BR Bo-Bo diesel locomotive. The perennially unreliable steam heating boiler could also be avoided. A total of 98 were built by the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCW) and they were known as "Cromptons" after the Crompton Parkinson electrical equipment installed in them.

The long rigid wheelbase and the leading and trailing axles reduced cornering stability and increased weight. The Bo-Bo configuration allowed for higher cornering speeds due to the smaller rigid wheelbase. Furthermore, it allowed better adhesion because all the wheels were now powered. Due to the absence of frame mounted wheels no leading or trailing axles were necessary to aid cornering, reducing weight and maintenance requirements.
The added carrying axle of the JNR Class ED62 Bo-1-Bo Eighteen of the Japanese narrow-gauge Bo-Bo electric were rebuilt in the late 1970s to form the Class ED62. The locos in this series were in use until 1976. They were of the 1-Bo+Bo-1 wheel-type, used a 1,500 V DC overhead catenary, producing .
The units each had four NEBB EDTM384 motors, giving a combined power output of .Thue (2002): 75 They had an overall length of , weighed and had a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement. The motor cars had a capacity for 38 passengers and a maximum speed of . Because of the steep gradients, the units had a low weight combined with high power output, and had both track brakes and dynamic braking.
HM V is a class of two-bogie four-axle (BoBo′ wheel arrangement) tram operated by Helsinki City Transport (, abbreviated HKL; , abbreviated HST) on the Helsinki tram network. All trams of this type were built by the Finnish tram manufacturer Karia in 1959. The first trams of this type were withdrawn from service in 1993. As of 2008 six trams (numbers 9, 11-14 and 175) remain in operational condition.
The 86 class initially hauled passenger and freight services to Lithgow on the Main Western line and Wyong on the Main Northern line. Their sphere of operation extended to Newcastle on the latter line in June 1984 and to Port Kembla in January 1986 when the Illawarra line was electrified. With a one-hour rating of 4,400 horsepower (hp), the 86 class was the most powerful locomotive in Australia at the time. Although no longer in regular use, the class remains among the most powerful in the country. Despite their higher power rating, they were generally regarded as inferior to the Metropolitan-Vickers built 46 class, which dated from the late 1950s. The last, 8650 was delivered as a Bo-Bo-Bo trial unit."8650" Railway Digest November 1985 page 320 It spent long periods out of traffic undergoing repair. In 1994/95 all were repainted by A Goninan & Co, Taree into FreightCorp blue.
Shortly after the 9100 class, the French absorbed another new Swiss idea, that of the high-speed double-bogie locomotive. Previous French Bo-Bo locomotives had been considered suitable only for medium speeds, with the pony truck and rigid frame used for express passenger service. The Swiss Re 4/4I of 1946 achieved speeds of up to , owing to the advanced design of its bogies. New classes were built for French railways, embodying these principles.
The company's first collection was the Wulu, which revisited the legendary Chinese gourd, an auspicious emblem in Chinese tradition. Often inspired by mythical or superstitious myths, Qeelin's following creations used the symbols of the panda (Bo Bo), bells (Ling Long), kissing goldfish (Qin Qin), and dogs (Wang Wang). In 2009, Qeelin launched a line of rare jadeite jewels. In 2010, Qeelin launched Maggie's bangles, a set of bracelets initially worn by Maggie Cheung.
The maximum grade is 2.8% and the minimum curve radius is 400m. The catenary voltage is 25 kV with booster transformer. Three substations exist: in Tabriz, Marand and Jolfa with 4 or 3 single phase transformers from Alstom each having 15 MW of capacity supplying the power. The 8 locomotives used on this line with Bo-Bo configuration have been built by ASEA from Sweden based on RC4 type from SJ Rc family.

SM30 is a BoBo′ locomotive, what means it runs on two bogies, each equipped with two axles. The general construction of this engine is relatively simple. Being the pioneer machine in the Polish railway industry, it incorporated many solutions from other branches of industry, i.e. the first engine to be mounted, Wola V-300, was taken from tank construction, main DC current generator was in fact stationery generator and traction motors were taken from trams.
Three Bo+Bo units were initially used, at the south end of the electrified section; they coupled onto the locomotive and train and pulled it through the tunnels.B&O; Power, Sagle, Lawrence, Alvin Stauffer DC was used on earlier systems. These systems were gradually replaced by AC. Today, almost all main-line railways use AC systems. DC systems are confined mostly to urban transit such as metro systems, light rail and trams, where power requirement is less.
The was a DC electric locomotive operated by Japanese National Railways (JNR) between 1958 and 1986. It was the first "second-generation" DC electric locomotive type featuring increased-power traction motors. Despite its diminutive size, the Bo-Bo wheel arrangement ED60 design offered performance comparable with the much larger Class EF15 1Co+Co1 design weighing almost twice as much. Eight locomotives were built between 1958 and 1960 by Kawasaki, Kisha Seizō with Tōyō electrical components, and Mitsubishi.
They belong to the RS-8 DL-532 type. The powertrain is electric. The weight in a running order was 64 tonnes while the axle configuration is Bo Bo. When it was used for passenger routes, for the winter season, the locomotives were equipped with a boiler for the production of steam for heating in passenger cars. It is characteristic that in the locomotives cabins to date there is the metallic sign of the Greek-American friendship.
In order to avoid police suspicion, Butterfly imitates Black Rose, a vigilante character who appeared in 1960s Hong Kong films, and left a note behind. As a result, The real Black Rose's apprentices, Piu-hung (Fung Bo Bo) and Yim-fan (Wong Wan-sze), kidnap Butterfly. Detective Keith Lui (Tony Leung), who has a crush on Butterfly, proceeds to rescue her. However, Piu-hung and Yim-fan mistaken Keith for their ex-lover and locks him up as well.
The South African Railways Class ES of 1936 was an electric locomotive. In 1936, the South African Railways built two Class ES centre-cab electric shunting locomotives with a Bo+Bo wheel arrangement, based on the Class 1E mainline electric locomotive. Between then and 1964, more were acquired until a total of 24 Class ES locomotives were eventually in service. Four more were built new for industry in 1952 and 1957.Espitalier, T.J.; Day, W.A.J. (1946).
Like the subsequent Classes 2E, 3E and 4E, the Class 1E had bogie mounted draft gear. It had a Bo+Bo wheel arrangement with an articulated inter-bogie linkage, therefore no train forces were transmitted directly to the locomotive body. The bogie pivot centres were apart. One of the bottom pivot centres was fixed while the other was free to move longitudinally to allow for any wear occurring in the articulated coupling between the two bogies.
The former are considered a bane to society, while the latter spend their days helping the common folk and undoing the curses brought upon by the sôns. The commonly known weizzas known today first appeared during the Konbaung Dynasty, when Bo Bo Aung, a monk in Sagaing, discovered manuscripts revealing the secrets of weizza. However, many recognized weizzas today come from before the Konbaung Dynasty. This was the last dynasty to rule Burma before colonial rule.
There are 2 types of trains in service on the line. The first type is the ET245, which was introduced in 1969 with the opening of the line and was the first train operated on Line 2. ET245 are formed by three-car consists, with Bo-Bo powered units at both ends and a car between them; normally, two consists are coupled to form a single train. This series came in two different versions for urban and suburban routes.
Bo-Bo is the UIC indication of a wheel arrangement for railway vehicles with four axles in two individual bogies, all driven by their own traction motors. It is a common wheel arrangement for modern electric and diesel-electric locomotives, as well as power cars in electric multiple units. Most early electric locomotives shared commonalities with the steam engines of their time. These features included side rods and frame mounted driving axles with leading and trailing axles.

The principal designer was V. Khlebnikov; the locomotive utilised an 8-axle articulated design within a single locomotive body, two sets of main bogies each of four axles articulated in a Bo-Bo arrangement. Unit TEP80-0002 holds the world speed record for a diesel railed vehicle having reached on 5 October 1993. In 2007 the machine was transferred from the Russian Railway research institute (VNIIZhT) to the October railway museum (Музей Октябрьской железной дороги) in Saint Petersburg.
In addition, three modified Janus locomotives – gauge on Bo-Bo trucks – were exported to British Guyana. Later locomotives had their Rolls-Royce engine uprated by 10 per cent to each. After Rolls-Royce entered the industrial locomotive manufacturing business, YEC started to offer their locomotives with Cummins diesel engines; seven Janus locomotives were built with pairs of Cummins diesels – all for Appleby Froddingham Steel works. The name Janus is from the two-faced god Janus: the locomotive was symmetrical with two 'faces'.
He voiced the title character Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo in the first PlayStation 2 game of the series, as well as singing the theme song. In 2010, he had a role in an episode of arc of Kamen Rider W along with fellow musicians Aya Kamiki and TAKUYA. In 2012, he starred in one of the episodes in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters as well as singing "Li-Oh! Kenzan Champion!" which is a theme song for the new robot introduced in the episode.
The South African Railways Class 6E1, Series 1 of 1969 was an electric locomotive. In 1969 and 1970, the South African Railways placed twenty Class 6E1, electric locomotives with a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement in mainline service. Their limited number and the fact that they entered service before the Class 6E suggest that the Class 6E1, Series 1 units were obtained as demonstrators on redesigned bogies, before a decision was made on which of the two types would be perpetuated.
Andrew Sarooch of Far East Films gave the film a score of 3.5 out of 5 stars praising the performance of actors Tony Leung Ka- fai and Fung Bo Bo, the action sequences and director Jeffrey Lau's direction as "Colourful, genre-defying and almost out-of-control". LoveHKFilm gave the film a positive review, praising Leung's comedic performance and states although the film "may lose some people, but it nonetheless possesses its own unique sensibilities and an inexplicable bizarre charm".
The DBAG Class 145 and DBAG Class 146 are BoBo′ mainline electric locomotives built by Adtranz primarily for the Deutsche Bahn at the end of the 1990s. The Class 145 is the freight version for DB Cargo; the Class 146 is the passenger version for DB Regio. Additional freight machines were built for the former Swiss railway Mittelthurgaubahn as well as for various private operators and leasing companies. The classes of locomotives are predecessors of the Bombardier TRAXX locomotives.
Japan, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, and Kei Itoshiki from (Zoku) Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei) he has been voicing more and more lively/humorous characters. According to Hisaya Nakajo, the manga artist of the series Hana-Kimi, the character of Masao Himejima was designed with Koyasu's voice in mind. The voice actor ended up voicing this character in the series' drama CDs. On September 18, 2009, he created Velvet Underworld series which is the first drama CD of the series, "The Fool".

A 72-ton Bo-Bo locomotive, using a single 18 cylinder Deltic engine, was proposed as an alternative to what became the British Rail Class 37 Type 3 locomotive introduced from 1960. A Co-Co "Super Deltic" was proposed but not built. There were three potential designs between 4000 hp and 4600 hp weighing between 114 and 119 tons with a maximum axle load of . The locomotives would have looked very similar to the eventual Class 50s, though slightly longer.
They were mixed-traffic locomotives. Their 2300/2552 hp was, for a small Bo-Bo locomotive, useful for both heavy freight and express passenger work. Acceleration on passenger trains (even when heavily loaded) was quite astonishing – to the extent that the climb out of London Victoria was almost unnoticeable. Prestigious services, including the heavy "Night Ferry" (London to Paris overnight by train-ferry) and the "Golden Arrow", the latter a Pullman service, were a mainstay of the class for many years.
RM 2 was a class of two-bogie four-axle (BoBo′ wheel arrangement) tram operated by Turku City Transport ( (TuKL); ), popularly known as "ghost cars". They were the last trams acquired for the Turku tram network prior to its closure in 1972, built by the Finnish metal industry corporation Valmet in 1956. Although never operated as such, these trams were designed for use on light rail lines. All RM 2s were withdrawn in June 1972 upon the closure of tram line 2.

Drawn by a Bo-Bo or Co-Co Electric Locomotive from Sheffield, a steam or in later years diesel Locomotive would take the train the final few miles to Manchester Central and vice versa. The Woodhead Line was busy with goods traffic, especially with coal traffic from South Yorkshire to Lancashire power stations. The station also accepted goods under British Railways "Passenger" freight service and had a licensed Buffet. There was a large marshalling yard about a mile east of Guide Bridge at Dewsnap.
Statue of Bo Bo Aung When Aung became a powerful weizza, his old classmate, King Bodawpaya attempted to have him assassinated because he refused to acknowledge him as the future Buddha., First, he sent a team of soldiers to find Aung. The soldiers begged him to return with them, saying that they would be killed if they failed the king. Aung ordered the soldiers to send a report to the king that they had captured him and put him in chains at the bottom of their boat.
In the 1950s, traffic on the Rhaetian Railway grew so strongly that the existing Ge 6/6 Crocodiles and the Ge 4/4 I Bo-Bo locomotives were no longer sufficient. Construction of the Bergell power station, begun in 1958 by the Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich, required the transfer of up to of cement per day from the Untervaz to the Engadin. For that task, the Rhaetian Railway required a locomotive that could haul a load of on the 3.5% gradients of the Albula Railway.

The SNCF BB 1280 class were a class of 600 V DC 4 axle BoBo′ electric locomotives, formerly Compagnie du chemin de fer de Paris à Orléans machines (originally PO E.1 to E.13), initially built for an underground section of line connecting the Gare d'Austerlitz to the Quai d'Orsay in inner Paris. The locomotives were converted for 1500 V DC use in the 1930s, and renumbered PO E.281 to E.293. They were absorbed by the SNCF, and operated as shunters until the late 1960s.
This particular E class was ordered for service on the newly electrified Otira Tunnel section of the Midland line and was constructed in 1922. In April 1923, English Electric delivered an order of six locomotives: five EO class mainline locomotives that collected electricity from overhead wires, and a sixth small battery-electric locomotive for maintenance duties. It was classified as E 1, had a wheel arrangement of Bo-Bo-2 (including a 4-wheeled battery tender) under the UIC classification system, and worked for the rest of the 1920s.
His appearance almost copies Dengaku Man from Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo except he has a lightning bolt shape on his chest and the bit on his head is longer. ; Spot : : He is called Spottenheim in the English version (or "Shirokenhaimu" in Japanese), though chibi Valkyrie calls him Spot in English ("Shiro" in Japanese). His introduction into the series isn't explained, but he seems to be designated as Valkyrie's pet. He's a white, dog-like alien who happens to be a veteran fighter pilot who was once known as Spottenheim the Comet.

In the episode Career Day of Takeshi's Castle, known in the United States as MXC, the hosts Beat Takeshi and Sonomanma Higashi dressed as popular anime characters, one as Goku as a child, the other as Doraemon. Weekly Shōnen Jump's Gag Special 2005 issue, released on November 12, 2004, featured a Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo one-shot Dragon Ball parody manga, a retelling of the first fight between Goku and Vegeta. In chapter #179 of the Yakitate!! Japan manga, Kawachi executes a Genki-Dama parody called a Shinrai-Dama on the character Katsuo.
The system is summarized in its kata, and the specific techniques used to punch (vertical fist) and kick (snapping kicks) presented as upper and lower 'charts', most of which are thrown from natural stances and body posture. In many of the various forms of the system, sixteen kata (eight empty-hand, three bo, two sai, a bo-bo kumite kata, a bo-sai kumite kata and one tuifa kata) are agreed upon as composing Isshin-ryu. These kata include original developments of the Master, and inherited kata from the parent styles.
LMS 10000 of 1947 The first mainline diesel-electric locomotives were of Bo-Bo arrangement. As they grew in power and weight, from 1937 the EMD E-units used an A1A-A1A layout with six axles to reduce axle load, but only four of them were powered. After WWII, the British LMS ordered two prototype locomotives with some of the first Co-Co arrangements. The 1903 Hornsby locomotive The very first C-C design recorded was a narrow-gauge Hornsby opposed-piston Hornsby-Akroyd-engined locomotive of 1903 for the Chattenden and Upnor Railway.
Growing passenger figures quickly necessitated more powerful engines. In 1986 two larger locomotives were built, entering service for the 1987 season; these were the new 2-6-0+0-6-2 Garratt locomotive No 3 Norfolk Hero and the Bo-Bo diesel locomotive No 4 Norfolk Harvester. These two engines provided the main service, with Weasel in reserve and out- of-season use, whilst Pilgrim was sold. The need for a second high-powered steam engine was quickly established and locomotive No 5 arrived on loan in 1995.

So, the King was ordered to city minister Bo Bo Gyi to capture the five siblings and summoned them to come to the Bagan Palace to pay treasure. When the five siblings get the order, they arranged to pay local crops and oil.
The weight of the quad voltage equipment required additional carrying axles, more than the typical French BoBo′ layout of the time. Alsthom's B′B′ monomotor bogie has already been introduced by the 25 kV BB 16500 class of 1962 and was considered successful. These Alsthom-bogied B′B′ designs, such as the BB 8500 class, had not yet acquired their nickname of «Danseuses», owing to their poor stability at speed. A six-axle Co′Co′ though had not been built for a decade, since the record-breaking CC 7100 class of 1952.
The Rhaetian Railway Ge 4/4 II is a class of metre gauge BoBo′ electric locomotives operated by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which is the main railway network in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The class is so named because it was the second class of locomotives of the Swiss locomotive and railcar classification type Ge 4/4 to be acquired by the Rhaetian Railway. According to that classification system, Ge 4/4 denotes a narrow gauge electric adhesion locomotive with a total of four axles, all of which are drive axles.
The Rhaetian Railway Ge 4/4 III is a class of metre gauge BoBo′ electric locomotives of the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which is the main railway network in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The class is so named because it was the third class of locomotives of the Swiss locomotive and railcar classification type Ge 4/4 to be acquired by the Rhaetian Railway. According to that classification system, Ge 4/4 denotes a narrow gauge electric adhesion locomotive with a total of four axles, all of which are drive axles.
A native of Somerville, Massachusetts, Coolen was a multi-sport athlete at Wesleyan University, where he played wide receiver on the school's football team, a pitcher on the baseball team, and a member of the swim team. He turned down an appointment from the United States Naval Academy to play at Wesleyan. He graduated from Wesleyan in 1980 with a degree in government and earned a master's degree in human movement from Boston University in 1986. Coolen and his wife Nanci have two children, Demi and Bo. Bo is currently the associate head coach for the baseball team at Westcliff University.
The Y class were fitted with an English Electric 6SRKT Mark II (Mark III on last two) in-line six turbocharged diesel engine. They have a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement and end- platforms, making them visually different from the X class. In line with standard TGR practice of the time, they were fitted with hook-and-link couplers and vacuum train brakes (air on locomotive). With a light tractive weight of only 58 tonnes, a reasonably powerful engine of and a fairly basic bogie design, gaining traction on long uphill grades was found to be difficult.
Three Bo+Bo units were initially used, at the south end of the electrified section; they coupled onto the locomotive and train and pulled it through the tunnels.B&O; Power, Sagle, Lawrence, Alvin Stauffer Railroad entrances to New York City required similar tunnels and the smoke problems were more acute there. A collision in the Park Avenue tunnel in 1902 led the New York State legislature to outlaw the use of smoke-generating locomotives south of the Harlem River after 1 July 1908. In response, electric locomotives began operation in 1904 on the New York Central Railroad.
The Saebyŏl-class ( Saebyŏl, "New Star") is a medium-duty diesel-hydraulic shunting locomotive built by the Kim Chong-t'ae Electric Locomotive Works for the Korean State Railway. The Saebyŏl-class locomotives have a centrecab body design, with a full-width cab offset from the centre towards the rear of the locomotive and external walkways along the engine compartment hoods, and are slightly larger than the Red Flag-class shunters. They are powered by a diesel engine with a hydrokinetic transmission, and have a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement. Numbered in the 3000 series, they are painted overall dark green with a yellow stripe.
The runaway boys' aunt and uncle figure out where they are and set a detective, Victor Getz, on their trail. Victor recognizes the boys on the street and manages to initiate a conversation with innocent little Bo. Bo accidentally lets slip that he lives in an old movie theater. When the rest of the children see Victor, they cause a distraction and run away, taking his wallet with them. In his search for the theater, Victor visits the home of Dottor Massimo, the owner of the Stella, where he sees Scipio, who is actually the son of the rich Dottore.
During WW2 the USATC took effective control of the ports of Bombay, Calcutta and Karachi and to operate them obtained 50 General Electric built Bo-Bo diesel locos; these were a standard General Electric 45 ton design of locomotive. When delivered to India the locos were split between the BAR, BB○, GIPR and NWR and were used for working military traffic between the ports and mainline railways. After the war they became the property of the mainline railways and in turn became IR locos. Post war they were designated as ADE class and on IR they were WDS-1 class.
They are three phase, twin-section electric freight locomotive consisting of two identical sections, each of which rests on two twin-axled Bo-Bo bogies. The locomotive is being jointly developed by Alstom and the Indian Railways, and is the first Indian Railways locomotive that has a power output greater than 10,000 horsepower. With a power output of 12,000 HP, it is twice as powerful as its immediate predecessor, WAG-9, and is one of the most powerful freight locomotives in the world. The eight-axle design of the locomotive reportedly improves performance and minimises energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Yorkshire Engine Co had been exporting steam locomotives to India for most of their existence, but in 1958 ten broad gauge ( ) 230-hp 0-4-0 diesel-electric shunting locomotives were supplied for the construction of Durgapur Steel Works in Eastern India. This was followed in 1963–64 with five 300-hp 0-4-0 diesel-electric locomotives and ten 600-hp ‘Olympus’ Bo-Bo locomotives. The Durgapur works was developed in conjunction with United Steel Companies, so it is not surprising that YEC locomotives were used there. In addition, YEC secured an order for two metre-gauge ‘Janus’ locomotives for the Indian Fertilizer Corporation.
The Thuy Bo incident was the killing of civilians by U.S. Marines from 31 January to 1 February 1967, during the Vietnam War in Thủy Bồ village () in Điện Bàn District, Quảng Nam Province 15km southwest of Đà Nẵng, in an area close to the foothills of the Central Highlands and situated near the Bo Bo Hills. Vietnamese communist sources claim that the Marines massacred civilians here and the memorial erected to the event records 145 civilian deaths, mainly women, children and elderly men. US sources claim that 22 civilians were killed in two days of fighting between Marines and the Vietcong who occupied the village.
These locomotives were built by a consortium of Mitsubishi, Hitachi and Toshiba (The Japanese Group, as attested by a plaque fixed on their sides) as a second option to the Europeans WAM-1. They were delivered in 1960 and were a bit lower powered than the WAM1 but had similar Bo-Bo wheel arrangement (4 wheels per bogie) with four Mitsubishi DC traction motors connected to the wheels permanently in parallel through a WN geared drive. The WAM2 had Ignitron rectifiers just like the WAM1 but some were later were refitted with Excitron rectifiers. Some even had the Mitsubishi logo painted on their sides.
At Innotrans 2012, Vossloh announced the launch of its range of dual mode locomotives; the company's initial offerings included the DM30 based on the Vossloh DE 18, and the EuroDual locomotives derived from its diesel Euro 4000 and EuroLight classes. Specifically, the Euro Dual shares the majority of its design, including elements such as the bodyshell, braking systems, bogies, traction equipment and software, with the Eurolight series. Initial descriptions issued by Vossloh were of a Co'Co' locomotive with 5MW electrical power and diesel power, with an axle load from . Subsequent orders differed from the initial specifications, with orders from the UK and South Africa being for Bo-Bo locomotives.
Class 22, D6343 (NBL 27916 of 1962), with Hymek D7072 at Old Oak Common, 1965. Whilst highly successful as designers and builders of steam locomotives for both its domestic market and abroad, North British failed to successfully manage the transition to diesel and electric locomotive production in the wake of the British Railways 1955 Modernisation Plan. It did build a Paxman engined diesel locomotive, British Rail 10800, originally ordered for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway before the 1948 nationalisation of British Railways, but not delivered until 1950. This was closely followed by eight Bo-Bo diesel-electric locomotives for the Ceylon Government Railway (CGR class G2).
Michael D. McConnohie is an American voice actor, writer and director who has provided many voice roles in movies, anime, and video games. He and fellow actress Melodee Spevack run a production company called VoxWorks. Some of his major works include the Narrator on Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and Hunter x Hunter, Azulongmon in Digimon, Gork in Masked Rider, Keiichi Ikari in Paranoia Agent, Rolf Emerson in Robotech, Manzou the Saw in Samurai Champloo, Cosmos and Tracks in Transformers, Hot Shot / Ironhide in Transformers: Robots in Disguise, D in Vampire Hunter D, Chief Inquisitor Margulis in Xenosaga and Charles zi Britannia in Code Geass.
The Furka Oberalp Bahn (FO) acquired these BoBo′ locomotives in 1979 for the purpose of hauling car shuttle trains through the then forthcoming Furka Base Tunnel. Between the delivery of these locomotives and the completion of the Furka Base Tunnel, both members of the class were leased to the Rhaetian Railway, where they entered service hauling express trains on the Albula Railway. Since the opening of the Base Tunnel in 1982, they have been used exclusively on car shuttle trains between Oberwald and Realp. On , the locomotives became the property of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB), following a merger between the FO and the Brig-Visp-Zermatt railway (BVZ).
The four classes each took a different approach to the use of the AC supply current. The first, the BB 12000, used DC traction motors with ignitron rectifiers; the BB 13000 used new 50 Hz AC traction motors; the CC 14000 used DC traction motors with rectification by rotary converters and the CC 14100 used three-phase AC traction motors, again with rotary converters. The first two classes were of B′B′ layout with two four wheel bogies and a separate traction motor for each axle. As the axles were mechanically coupled by gearing though, they were classified as B′B′ rather than BoBo′.
This bogie used two separate traction motors with cardan shaft connection to the wheels, rather than the previous French 'dancing ring' design. As these bogies mechanically coupled the two motors, they are classed as a B′B′ arrangement, rather than BoBo′. The body style was a steeplecab with a single 'monocabine' central control cab and long, low bonnets at each end. The single cab design was chosen because previous experience had suggested that providing duplicated control gear at the ends of the locomotive was the least reliable part of an electric locomotive, and this way only one set might be needed, with direct access to it.
Afterwards, he participated in many group albums and also sang a lot of songs, cooperating and sang together with local artists. He has become popular due to "Kyo So Par Ei" (Welcome) song from collaborative album "Bo Bo 3rd Year Records" and "Sign Board Kai Pee Lan Shuk Mal" song from collaborative album "Shwe FM 4th Anniversary". Since then, he gained the first recognition from his fans. His second album "Make up Ma Kyaik Thaw Tha Chin Myar" was released on 3 June 2014 which gained him recognized for his rock attitude, individual and unique style as well as the diversity of his lyrics among millions of fans.
The Red Flag 2000-class ( Pulg'ŭn'gi-2000) is an electric locomotive built by the Kim Chong-t'ae Electric Locomotive Works for the Korean State Railway. They are used primarily for hauling non-express passenger trains on mainlines in North Korea; they are frequently seen on the P'yŏngŭi Line. Internally, in terms of their electrical and mechanical components, the Red Flag 2000-class locomotives are based on the Red Flag 1-class, but with Bo-Bo wheel arrangement, riding on two-axle roller bearing bogies. The boxy body is of a hood-type design, with a cab at one end, external walkways around the long hood.
The added carrying axle The Class ED62 locomotives were created between 1974 and 1979 by modifying the 18 earlier JNR Class ED61 Bo-Bo electric locomotives with the addition of a centre non-driven axle. Rebuilding was carried out at JNR's Nagano Works. The primary aim of rebuilding was to reduce the axle load (from 15 t to 13 t) for use on the Iida Line, where the class displaced vintage (English Electric) and JNR Class ED19 (Westinghouse) locomotives, and later JNR Class EF10 locomotives. One highlight of the class's career was when ED62 15 hauled the Imperial Train on the Iida Line in 1979.
During the 1950s, SNCF's experimental investigations into high-speed rail saw some CC 7100 class locomotives specially-modified for operation at speeds far higher than their regular service speed. These experiments provided valuable test data for the SNCF to develop increasingly more rapid regular services, including the Mistral of 1967, and ultimately the TGV. CC 7121 broke the rail speed record when it achieved on the PLM mainline between Dijon and Beaune on 21 February 1954. Preparations for further high-speed tests proceeded, and in March 1955 CC 7107 and Bo-Bo locomotive BB 9004 both attained on separate high-speed runs between Bordeaux and Dax, Landes.
Hung appeared as a child actor in several films for Cathay Asia and Bo Bo Films during the early 1960s. His film debut was in the 1961 film Education of Love. In 1962, he made his first appearance alongside Jackie Chan in the film Big and Little Wong Tin Bar, followed by a role in The Birth of Yue Fei, in which he played the ten-year- old Yue Fei, the historical figure from the Song Dynasty who would go on to become a famous Chinese general and martyr. The majority of Hung's performance was alongside another actor portraying Zhou Tong, Yue's elderly military arts tutor.

183, with the sword effectively replacing the Jo as the primary mid-range weapon. Various descendent schools practice a combination of the original primary and support weapons. The original weapons kata taught by Kori Hisataka, still taught in some of the mainline Kenkokan branches or descendent schools, include Shishiryu no Bo (also simply known as Bo no Kata), Nijushiho no Sai (also known as Sai no Kata, or occasionally Kudaka no Sai) and Jo no Kata (also known as Kudaka no Jo, or Shishiryu no Jo). There were also various 2 person pre-arranged forms, including Bo vs Bo, Bo vs Sai and the Shin Ken Shira Ha Dori (empty hand against sword).
The episodes on Toonami Jetstream were repeats. Dragon Ball Z, Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Dragon Ball, Pokémon Chronicles, Megas XLR and Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo have already been aired completely on Cartoon Network. While Samurai Jack has only aired a small portion of its episodes on Toonami, it has been completely aired on Cartoon Network and all four seasons of the show are available on DVD and a complete series set with the fifth season on Blu-ray by Warner Home Video and Cartoon Network, later Adult Swim. All of Megas XLR has aired on Toonami, except for one episode which was skipped due to an error and later shown on Miguzi.
The British Rail Class 33, also known as the BRCW Type 3 or Crompton, is a class of Bo-Bo diesel-electric locomotives, ordered in 1957 and built for the Southern Region of British Railways between 1960 and 1962. They were produced as a more powerful Type 3 (1,550 bhp) development of the 1,160 bhp Type 2 Class 26. This was achieved, quite simply, by removing the steam heating boiler and fitting a larger 8 cylinder 8LDA28 version of the previous 6 cylinder engine. This was possible because of the traffic requirements of the Southern Region: locomotive-hauled passenger traffic depended on seasonal tourist traffic and was heavier in the summer, when carriage heating was not needed.
Shortly thereafter, two alternative options were explored, an electrified version of the InterCity 125 (known as the HST-E), and the mixed- traffic locomotive; these were both intended to a peak service speed of 125mph. Some officials within British Rail pushed for more demanding requirements for the future Intercity trainset; reportedly, BR's Director of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (Mⅇ) was a strong proponent for increasing the top speed to 140mph. To facilitate this, tilting train technologies developed for the APT were explored. While BR's board had approved the ordering of a single Class 89 as a prototype, the Strategy Committee queried why the type had been favoured over a proposed 80-tonne Bo- Bo locomotive.
His most successful experiment was a Fist of the North Star parody involving a strange afro-haired man who fought against "Hair Hunters" using his nose hairs in a post-apocalyptic society. The character, as well as the story itself, was Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. Over several one-shots, Sawai further defined Bo-bobo as well as introducing other characters, including damsel-in-distress Beauty, fellow nosehair fighter Gunkan (Captain Battleship), rival fart-fighter Heppokomaru (Gasser), and a strange star- shaped creature and fellow "Hajikelist" known as Don Patch. After the success of these one-shots, Bo-bobo became a weekly series in 2001, where it had a long and successful run until its conclusion in 2007.
The railcar had a wheel arrangement of Bo-Bo under the UIC classification system, weighed , had driving controls at each end, and with an engine output of , it travelled comfortably at . In appearance, it looked like a cross between a regular railway passenger carriage and a tram; side-on, it looked like a passenger carriage, but each end resembled the front of a tram from that era. The body was built by Boon & Stevens, the noted tram-car builders of Christchurch, in 1926, and equipped with Edison battery-electric equipment. Capable of carrying about 70 passengers, with 60 seated, and a separate smoking compartment, the railcar had a range of about on one battery charge.
After Sentimental Journey, Connie starred alongside Tony Leung Ka-Fai and Carina Lau in the stage play Red Boat, which ran for 64 performances. The play is an homage to the Cantonese Opera troupes that traditionally travelled by boat through the Pearl River delta region of China. In 2003 she staged a series of spectacular concerts, delighting fans with her cherished film songs and some Cantonese opera classics; her guest stars included Fung Bo-bo, Nancy Sit Ka-yin, and Maggie Cheung Ho-yee (who played the character based on Connie in the TVB television series Old Time Buddy and the film Those Were the Days). On 4 February 2006 she performed with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra.
Fung Fung (; 1 December 1916 – 16 February 2000 Verification of birth date and death date from Hong Kong Film Archive) was a veteran Hong Kong actor. He began his career as a leading man in 1946. An accident in 1949 left the left side of his face paralysed, but, while no longer able to attract leading roles, he enjoyed a long career as a character actor, appearing in films alongside such stars as Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. He was the father of Fung Bo Bo, a child star of the 1960s, and Fung Hak On, an actor known for playing villainous roles in several kung fu/action comedies of the 1970s and 1980s.

In June 1949, two 350 class diesel locomotives, built by the SAR's Islington Railway Workshops with a Bo-Bo wheel arrangement, entered service.Broad Gauge 350-class diesel locomotives Chris' Commonwealth Railways Pages SAR 900 class diesel-electric locomotive, built by the SAR and also designed for the demanding Adelaide Hills route, entered service in 1951 The first mainline diesel locomotives to enter service were the 900 class in 1951, also built by Islington Railway Workshops. The SAR then turned to American Locomotive Company products with the 930, 830, 600 and 700 classes manufactured in Sydney by AE Goodwin. In the 1950s, railcars were introduced, the Redhens for Adelaide suburban services and the Bluebirds for regional services.
The Rhaetian Railway Gem 4/4 is a two member class of metre gauge BoBo′ electro-diesel locomotives operated since 1968 by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which is the main railway network in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The class is so named under the Swiss locomotive and railcar classification system. According to that system, Gem 4/4 denotes a narrow gauge electro- diesel engined adhesion locomotive with a total of four axles, all of which are drive axles. The companies involved in building the Gem 4/4s were the Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works (SLM), Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik AG Schlieren-Zürich (SWS), Brown, Boveri & Cie (BBC) and Maschinenfabrik Oerlikon (MFO).
The award was established at the 4th Hong Kong Film Awards (1985) and the first winner was Anita Mui for her role in the film Behind the Yellow Line. There are 5, sometimes 6, nominations for the category of Best Supporting Actress from which one actress is chosen the winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. The most recent recipient of the award was Chan Lai-Wun, who was honoured at the 28th Hong Kong Film Awards (2009), for her performance in The Way We Are. The actresses with most awards in this category are Anita Mui, Deannie Ip, Elaine Kam, Fung Bo-Bo and Shu Qi with 2 awards each.
In the year 300X, the entire world is under the tyrannical rule of the Maruhage Empire and their ruler Tsuru Tsurulina IV (Chrome Dome Empire and Baldy Bald the 4th in the English dub). His Hair Hunt troop captures innocent bystanders' hair, leaving the people victims of the Hair Hunt troop's head shaving and their villages in ruins. Standing against this evil regime is the heroic, but bizarre, rebel Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo who fights the Hair Hunt Troop with his powerful Hanage Shinken (Fist of the Nose Hair). His team consists of the normal teen girl Beauty, the smelly teen warrior Heppokomaru (Gasser) and the Hajike leader Don Patch (Poppa Rocks).
A design for a small multi-service Bo-Bo locomotive, with speed up to , had been devised by Giuseppe Bianchi as early as in the 1930s, but the project had been halted by the introduction of the E.326 and E.428. After the realization of the 6-axle E.636, it was however decided to revamp the project by adapting to it some solutions already in use on the E.636 (engines, bogies, suspension etc.). Breda SpA workshop provided the three prototypes of E.424 in 1943-1944. Mass production, however, could begin only after the end of World War II, part of the funds provided by the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration program.
On June 2, 1995, the last commuter train hauled by venerable CN Z-1-a electric Bo-Bo #6710 has arrived in Central Station and pauses with the train crew. This locomotive was the same that had inaugurated the Mount Royal Tunnel, 77 years earlier. At Central Station's opening, tracks (7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12) of the Tunnel Station were used only by trains heading north through the tunnel, and they did not continue south of the station. These tracks were finally connected to the south when the old Tunnel Station was demolished as well as the warehouse located south of De la Gauchetière Street and east of Inspector Street (now Mansfield Street).
The motors transmitted their power through internal gearboxes, cardan shafts and quill final drives. Other changes suggested by experience on APT-E included changes to the vertical suspension from conventional hydraulic shock absorbers to air bags, which would both improve the ride quality and have lower maintenance requirements. For service reasons, the power cars were redesigned to have their own bogies in a Bo-Bo arrangement, so they could be easily removed from the train, unlike the former articulated design that connected adjacent cars together and made it difficult to split the train apart. The passenger cars retained the articulated design, but a number of changes were made due to experience on APT-E.
Trun) in unrebuilt condition, behind it the already rebuilt no 613 (Domat/Ems) with square headlights and an altered position of the number on its nose. In their external appearance, the Ge 4/4 II locomotives, supplied by Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works (SLM) and Brown, Boveri & Cie (BBC), are reminiscent of the Re 4/4II of the Swiss Federal Railways. The electrical componentry is nevertheless markedly different: in the Re 4/4 II locomotives, controlled rectifiers (phase fired controllers) made of thyristors and diodes supply the traction motors with wavy direct current. In a BoBo′ wheel arrangement, the Ge 4/4 II locomotives have a top speed of and weigh .
The Rhaetian Railway Ge 4/4 I is a class of metre gauge BoBo′ electric locomotives operated by the Rhaetian Railway (RhB), which is the main railway network in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The class is so named because it was the first class of locomotives of the Swiss locomotive and railcar classification type Ge 4/4 to be acquired by the Rhaetian Railway. According to that type designation, Ge 4/4 denotes a narrow gauge electric adhesion locomotive with a total of four axles, all of which are drive axles. The 10 machines in the Ge 4/4 I class were also the first RhB electric locomotives without rod drive.
The SNCF BB 75000 (also known as the SNCF BB 475000) are 4 axle, BoBo′, diesel electric locomotives ordered in 2000 by SNCF for freight operations to renew its aging fleet. The locomotives are also classified as Prima DE30BAC They are similar in appearance to the SNCF Class BB 27000, but are in fact the result of a collaboration between Alstom and Siemens. The internal electrical components are similar to those found in the Siemens 'EuroRunner' made for ÖBB; the Rh 2016, and the bodyshell, bogies and other equipment being of the Prima type made by Alstom. The initial order was for 400 machines to be delivered from 2007 onwards with an option for a further 100 additional machines.
Chang Hsiao-yen (; born 11 August 1948) is a Taiwanese television host and actress. Born in Shanghai, China, Chang relocated to Taiwan after the Chinese Civil War where she started her acting career at the age of five as a child actress in cinema. In 1958, she received her first Best Child Actress award at the Asia Pacific Film Festival, a recognition she earned for three consecutive years and which placed her alongside notable child stars such as Josephine Siao, Lydia Shum, Fung Bo Bo and Connie Chan. Since the 1980s, Chang has become a household name in Taiwan after hosting the CTS variety show Variety 100 (綜藝100) which is one of the most successful shows in the television history of Taiwan.
The Ch'ŏngnyŏnjŏl Kinyŏm-class (, "Youth Day Memorial") is composed of two groups of Bo-Bo electric locomotives operated by the Korean State Railway on passenger and freight trains throughout North Korea. In 1981, the Korean State Railway took delivery of seven Francorail-MTE CSE26-21 diesel locomotives from France, followed by five more in 1985. Due to oil shortages in the late 1980s and early 1990s, it was decided to convert these locomotives to 3,000 V DC electric operation, by removing the diesel engines and installing pantographs and other necessary electrical equipment; this work was carried out by the Kim Chong-t'ae Electric Locomotive Works in P'yŏngyang. The result of this were the prototypes of the 5400-series Red Flag Co-Co locomotives.
He was a man who became noted for providing help, clothing and food to many shipwrecked sailors along this coast.Royal Cornwall Gazette 9 January 1808"Methodism in Mullion", Ivor Thomas Published by Mullion Methodist Centenary Publications Committee 1978 Smuggling continued here, with many further incidents being recorded, before gradually declining later in the 19th century. In 1897 two of the oldest Mullion smugglers, Henry "Bo Bo" George, then 78 years of age, and Dionysius or "Dio" Williams, then 93, disclosed some of their tales and their methods of "free trading" in a magazine interview. In the 1800s a four-gallon (18 litres) tub of brandy bought in France for £1 sold for £4 on return to Mullion, giving a handsome profit.
Córas Iompair Éireann's first push–pull trains were conversions of their 2600 Class DMUs (Park Royal body, AEC motors) running with the long withdrawn 201 Class Metropolitan-Vickers Bo-Bo diesels re-engined with EMD 567 prime movers; the cars were subsequently renumbered in the 6100 series (Driving van trailers), 6200 series (trailer with "blind" cab end) and 6300 series (double-gangway intermediate car). In push–pull formation, they operated Dublin Suburban Rail services from 1971 until the inauguration of the DART EMU service in July 1984. The remaining push–pull trains operated on Dublin-Maynooth commuter services until they were supplanted by Cravens, and later by the modern 2600 Class DMUs. Iarnród Éireann employs push–pull trains of two different kinds.
Ancestor worship in modern-day Myanmar is largely confined to some ethnic minority communities, but mainstream remnants of it still exist, such as worship of Bo Bo Gyi (literally "great grandfather"), as well as of other guardian spirits such as nats, all of which may be vestiges of historic ancestor worship. Ancestor worship was present in the royal court in pre-colonial Burma. During the Konbaung dynasty, solid gold images of deceased kings and their consorts were worshiped three times a year by the royal family, during the Burmese New Year (Thingyan), at the beginning and at the end of Vassa. The images were stored in the treasury and worshiped at the Zetawunzaung (, "Hall of Ancestors"), along with a book of odes.
La Rue berates Francine for befriending her former housecleaner, Cuddles Kovinsky (Edith Massey), a simple-minded woman who tries to console Francine with "seize-the-day" bromides. Cuddles inherits a large sum of money from a former employer, further infuriating La Rue. After Francine discovers her husband is having an affair with his secretary, Sandra Sullivan (Mink Stole), she confronts them during a motel tryst and demands a divorce. Francine then falls into alcoholism and depression, exacerbated by her children's behavior: Lu-Lu becomes pregnant by her delinquent boyfriend Bo-Bo Belsinger (Stiv Bators) and announces she is getting an abortion; and after Dexter is arrested at a supermarket for stomping on a woman's foot, the media reveal that he is the Baltimore Foot Stomper who is terrorizing local women with his serial attacks.
Pokémon Chronicles has finished airing on Toonami (except for one episode which aired on the normal Cartoon Network schedule), and Toonami Jetstream merely showed reruns starting from the first episode, but a DVD release only happened in Australia by Beyond Home Entertainment. Bobobo-bo Bo- bobo finished airing and 2 DVD volumes of four episodes each were available containing the first 8 episodes by Illumitoon Entertainment, but a third volume that was going to be released was cancelled due to the distributor, Westlake Entertainment's, closure. It was then licensed by S'more Entertainment for a complete series release on two 38-episode sets, but subtitles for the Japanese version weren't included. Discotek Media picked up the show and plans to release the entire show with subtitles on the Japanese version on SDBD soon.
In October 2013, Swifambo Rail Leasing placed a €250 million order for 50 Euro Dual and 20 Euro 4000 diesel locomotives, to be leased to the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) for use on Shosholoza Meyl services. The locomotives were configured as Bo-Bo vehicles with 2.8MW diesel power and a top speed of 140km/h. During late 2015, PRASA began proceedings in the High Court of South Africa to terminate the contract for both the Afro4000 and Euro-Dual locomotives ordered from Vossloh, and to be repaid the R2.65-billion already expended. A specific problem cited was that the supplied diesel locomotives were substantially out of gauge for parts of the network, being 4.14m high, as opposed to a 3.965m limit specified by the government infrastructure and logistics organisation Transnet.
These strikes began Phase I, which lasted through the 28th and included infantry sweeps by two Regional Force (RF) battalions between the Vàm Cỏ Đông River and the northern shoulder of the Angel's Wing. Meanwhile, the 49th Infantry Regiment, less one battalion, and the 7th Ranger Group, also short one battalion, left assembly areas near Hiệp Hoà () on the Vàm Cỏ Đông and advanced westward through the swamplands, past Đức Huệ to the Cambodian frontier. To the south, three RF battalions provided security by conducting reconnaissance in northern Long An Province, generally between the Bo Bo Canal and the Vàm Cỏ Đông. Another supporting maneuver, which quickly developed into a major operation, was the attack into Svay Rieng Province south of the Elephant's Foot () by two battalions from IV Corps.
Some of the running themes of the show include trying to get 100 loads of logs shipped out per week, which gets the crew a bonus of about $100, and a BBQ paid for by Bobby and cooked by Dave (75 loads is generally considered the "break even" point where Bobby's expenses are covered); the constant difficulties encountered with bad weather, poor road conditions, and equipment failures; as well as uncertainties concerning lumber buyers, land owners (from whose property Goodson's extract timber), and saw mills. Another issue that was featured during several episodes was the emergency gall bladder surgery performed on truck driver "Bo-Bo", the effect on his family and co-workers, and his recovery. He has since returned to Goodson's with a clean bill of health.
In 1948 the LNER was nationalised as a part of British Railways. Nearly 30 years had elapsed and the operational problems remained, so money was made available to complete the electrification project. By now the state of the original Woodhead tunnels meant that a new double- track tunnel had to be built to replace the two original single-track bores. Thurgoland tunnel gained a new bore to alleviate clearance problems in the original tunnel. New electric locomotive facilities were built at Reddish, Darnall and Wath, and two classes of locomotive were built at Gorton Locomotive Works, Manchester, for the line: the EM1 (Class 76) Bo+Bo (the + signifying that the bogies were articulated) mixed-traffic locomotives and seven larger EM2 (Class 77) Co-Co locomotives for express passenger trains.
Marshall Turtle (portrayed by Christopher Ryan) is Edina's first ex-husband and father to Serge. Marshall is an unsuccessful Hollywood producer who later begins pursuing other money-making schemes with his wife, Bo. Bo dominates him easily, and when he is with her he seems more like a young child than a husband. Early in the series, however, Marshall manifests a more masculine, adult persona when he appears with Sondra, a grief therapist who can handle everything about grieving except death itself, and Cherysh (Rebecca Front), a classic California airhead who designs greeting cards for "births, deaths, [and] reincarnations". Although Marshall is generally kind to Saffron, perhaps pitying her for having to live with Edina, he does comply with Bo's attempt to steal her baby to be sold through their own private adoption agency to Hollywood actors wishing to adopt.
92 Legendary La Rose Noire is a 1992 Hong Kong comedy film written and directed by Jeffrey Lau and starring Tony Leung, Maggie Shiu, Teresa Mo, Wong Wan-sze and Fung Bo Bo. The film was nominated for eight awards at the 12th Hong Kong Film Awards, where Leung won his second Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor and Fung won her first Hong Kong Film Award for Best Supporting Actress. 92 Legendary La Rose Noire was ranked number 75 of the Best 100 Chinese Motion Pictures at the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards. The film was followed two sequels, one released in 1993 titled Rose Rose I Love You, where Leung reprises his role but features a new storyline, and another released in 1997 confusingly titled Black Rose II, also featuring a new storyline and different cast.
V/Line P12 at North Melbourne in August 2007 Freight Australia P22 at North Melbourne in April 2010 The P class were rebuilt from 1950s T class locomotives by Clyde Engineering. The rebuild involved a new cab and carbody, replacing the EMD 8-567C engine with an EMD 8-645E, replacement of the main generator and traction motors, and provision of a separate head end power generator. Only first-series T Class locomotives were suitable for upgrading because their frames were designed for EMD 12-567 engines, with only 2/3rds of the length used to cut down on weight (and allow a Bo-Bo, instead of A1A-A1A or Co-Co wheel arrangement). When rebuilt, the 8-645 engine took the place formerly occupied by the 8-567, and the remaining space was utilised for the head-end power unit.
NER Class J21 No.65110 in ex-works condition at Heaton Shed, 1954 Ex-NER No.26500/BR Class ES1 at Heaton Shed Originally built by the North Eastern Railway to provide steam locomotives serving principally the extensive Heaton marshalling yards and freight traffic, but also a considerable proportion of main line and local passenger traffic from . The location meant that it provided motive power to the and steep Riverside Branch. Unliked by crews due to the need to pass through three tunnels and the resultant toxic smoke in their cabs, in 1905 it was electrified using 750 VDC technology, with power supplied via both overhead catenary and, within the tunnels, third-rail. Both of the BTH/Brush 640 hp (BR Class ES1) locomotives were based at Heaton, designed as a Bo-Bo with central cab.
To cope with increased traffic loads on the South African Railways (SAR) in the 1950s, the capacity of its 3 kV DC electrified lines had to be increased. Since more sections in Natal and Transvaal were being electrified, the SAR placed an order for the design and production of a new and more powerful Bo-Bo mainline electric locomotive with English Electric (EE) in 1952. Sixty Class 5E, Series 1 locomotives were delivered and placed in service in 1955 and 1956, numbered in the range from E259 to E318. The first 48 units, numbered in the range from E259 to E306, were built at the Dick Kerr works of EE in Preston in 1954 and 1955, while the construction of the last twelve, numbered in the range from E307 to E318, was subcontracted to Vulcan Foundry.
The series was originally licensed for home video release in North America by Illumitoon Entertainment in 2006, who released only 2 volumes on bilingual DVD in 2007, before their distribution deal with Westlake Entertainment fell through, and all further volumes were canceled. S'more Entertainment later announced on January 16, 2012, that they would release Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo with English subtitles and dubbing on DVD on April 10. This release, however, was criticized by fans for lacking an English subtitle track, despite a fully translated script being present on a PDF file on disc 4 and indication on the box and pre-release information that there would be a subtitle track on the release. S'more Entertainment released a statement claiming the packaging was wrong, and there never was an intention to subtitle the release, due to costs.
In 1950 electrification of the entire North Island Main Trunk (NIMT) from Auckland to Paekakariki (the terminus of the Wellington electrification) was proposed by the General Manager F. W. Aickin, with 15 kV AC (at 16.7 Hz) to be used for the 657 route miles or 1,000 km of track. The system would have been operated at 16 kV AC, and would have been similar to the systems in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway; but has been superseded by 25 kV AC (at mains frequency, 50 or 60 Hz) for new systems. The NIMT represented only 12% of the network length, but carried 40% of the system tonnage (13% more than the total South Island tonnage). A hundred Bo-Bo locomotives would be required, and in Auckland there would be suburban electric services to Henderson east of Auckland and to Papakura 34 km south of Auckland.
Each consisted of a CHL-60G master unit, rated at with a bonnet and cab, and a CHL-60T slave unit, looking more like a flat-bed truck, with a second hydraulic motor. They were much more powerful than the engines they replaced, with the four-axle arrangement ensuring that the axle loading was low enough for the existing track, and they were very popular with their operators. By the late 1990s, they were wearing out, and enquiries were made, with a view to purchasing replacements. Alan Keef designed a Bo-Bo locomotive for use on the moors, but the cost was too great, and the company rebuilt two of the Schoma locomotive and slave units. The work included replacing the original 5-cylinder engines with 6-cylinder models, improving the sanding gear and driver's seating arrangements, and fitting a more reliable air-conditioning system for the cab.
WK&S; Railroad, PA. During World War II the Whitcomb Locomotive Company built road switchers for military service in Europe and the Middle East. The United Kingdom ordered the first fifty two in 1941, from Baldwin Locomotive Works, who allocated the order to their Whitcomb Locomotive Company. They were center-cab Bo-Bo locomotives built as Whitcomb type 65-DE-14, and were followed by variants 65-DE-14A and 65-DE-14B in 1942 and 1943. They served in the North African Campaign and on military trains in Palestine and Lebanon, and then in the Italian campaign. The order was received by Whitcomb for the new design in December 1941, and the first locomotives were delivered to Africa by June 1942, less than half the normal development time for a new design. By late 1944 the company was producing one 65 ton locomotive a day.
One reason for the move from weekdays to Saturday nights was because some of the shows on the weekday lineup became too violent for a weekday broadcast on the network. The new Toonami lineup showcased anime such as Naruto, Rave Master, Duel Masters, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, One Piece, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Zatch Bell, and Pokémon Chronicles, as well as premiered North American productions including Teen Titans, Megas XLR, Justice League Unlimited, and IGPX, Toonami's first and only original production co-produced by Production I.G and Bandai Entertainment. Sara got a full body during this period, and became more anime- esque, along with her voice actress being changed to British actress and Red Dwarf star Samantha Robson. Although Megas XLR was the first original American-made franchise to actually debut on the block, it was initially a Cartoon Network original that was planned to air on Friday nights.
Layla later moves to Paris to resume her fashion career and ends her engagement to Cristian. As the year drew to a close, the Ford Brothers are reunited with their abusive father, Eddie Ford, (John Wesley Shipp) (This was also after the fact that the brothers discovered their family ties after their mother Inez Salinger (Jessica Leccia) told them they were related to each other. Dani's classmate Nate Salinger's (Lenny Platt) mother had abandoned Ford and James with their father while she was pregnant with Nate.) Eddie comes to town after Nate had stolen a hidden suitcase full of money to give to her broke mother, and crashes at his sons' Ford and James' apartment. Eddie is later hired by Clint to kidnap Nora and hold her hostage at The Minute Man Motel to avenge her for cheating on him with his brother and her ex-husband Bo. Bo later rescues Nora from Eddie's clutches.
The anime adaptation of Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo is directed by Hiroki Shibata, produced by Toei Animation and ran for 76 episodes from November 8, 2003, to October 29, 2005, on TV Asahi. The first opening theme for episodes 1 to 32 is "Wild Challenger" by Jindou and the second opening theme for episode 33 onwards is by Ulfuls. The first ending theme for episodes 1 to 19 is by Mani Laba, the second ending theme for episodes 20 to 32 is by FREENOTE and the third ending theme for episode 33 onwards is "H.P.S.J." by mihimaru GT. In North America, the anime was licensed by the Joy Tashjian Marketing Group, a licensing representative named by Toei Animation. The series first aired as a sneak peek on Cartoon Network's "Summer 2005 Kick-Off Special" in May 2005, and then premiered on September 30 and aired on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block Saturdays at 10/9c, starting on October 1.
In the 1970s, the ČSD had a great need for locomotives for medium-heavy shunting, local freight duties and service in industrial facilities on standard gauge lines in European climatic conditions.Lokomotivy řady 740 (ex T 448.0) (in Czech) Based on the Class T 475.1, built in 1970, a total of 620 T 448.0 locomotives were built between 1973 and 1989, 459 for the ČSD and Czechoslovak industries (T 448.0501 to T 448.0959), along with 161 for enterprises in the Polish coal, metallurgical and chemical industries (T 448-P001 to T 448-P161).Řada 740 (T 448.0), "Kocour" - Atlas lokomotiv - ŽelPage (in Czech) The diesel-electric locomotives of Class T 448.0 are of a "hood unit" design, with a full-width cab offset from the centre, with external walkways alongside the long hood housing the engine, riding on two two-axle bogies (wheel arrangement: Bo-Bo) of standard ČKD design. The bogie frame is an H-shaped structure of welded construction, with two TE-005 DC traction motors.
To overcome the problem of gaps in the third rail three experimental locomotives were built (which later became the British Rail Class 70) which were fitted with large flywheels that maintained momentum long enough to avoid stalling in gaps. The second problem for freight train operation by electric locomotives was the serious hazard that would result if the 750 V DC third rail was laid in goods yards, as this would not only be a danger to personnel on the ground but also present some complex issues loading and unloading many types of freight wagons. The initial solution was to install simple tramway-type overhead wires to carry the 750 V supply in certain yards and add a pantograph on the locomotive roofs. As a continuation of the Southern Railway's policy of electrification, British Railways then began electrifying the main lines to the Kent Coast as part of the 1955 Modernisation Plan. In addition to the few hundred new EMUs required, a small fleet of 25 Bo-Bo electric locomotives of classed type "HA" (later Class 71) were built to deal with freight, parcels, and the few remaining locomotive-hauled passenger trains in Kent, such as the "Night Ferry" and "Golden Arrow" services.
