On 23 November 2019 at the Vue cinema, during a screening of Blue Story, which depicts gang violence, a violent disturbance broke out. Some of those involved carried machetes. Part 1 was self-financed by Rapman and created by calling in favours with friends. After the release of Shiro's Story he was offered a contract by Jeffrey Katzenberg to work for his short form content platform Quibi. He ultimately turned down the offer to work on Blue Story, but accepted a writing project for Katzenberg. In November, 2018 Rapman signed a deal with the Roc Nation entertainment agency for management, film and TV, with the opportunity to start his own record label.

The website's consensus reads, "Raw and riveting, Blue Story overcomes its somewhat prosaic story with powerful performances and an impressive clarity of purpose." Mike McCahill of The Guardian gave the film 3/5 and called it "An assured and capably performed morality play." BBC Films say the film "powerfully depicts the futility of gang violence".

Leo Dorfman began working for National Periodical Publications in the 1950s. Topalbećirević is also an author of several sport documentaries about great sport names from the ex-Yugoslavia. Back in 1998 in production of TV BiH he signed his first documentary “Blue story”, on the life of Ivica Osim, one of the best football managers from those areas. Additionally, he is an author of the reportage on Elvir Baljić from 1999 titled “Prince Baljić”, when he signed a contract with Real Madrid and became the most expensive paid player in the world, as well as a story about Sergej Barbarez, Mirza Delibašić and Elvir Bolić. In 2014, in production of Al Jazeera Balkans, he presented the movie “Our Brasil story”, speaking about creating the Bosnian Premier League in the most difficult times until qualifiying to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brasil. Topalbećirević created the show “Top goal” which was for years the most popular sport show on Bosnian television.
