In Whoville each Halloween, a "Sour-Sweet Wind" blows and a chain of events causes the Gree-Grumps and Hakken-Krakks to arouse the Grinch into descending to Whoville in his paraphernalia wagon and wreaking havoc in the town on "Grinch Night." All of Whoville dreads the smell of the wind as an omen, and everyone retreats to their home as the whole village goes into lockdown. Euchariah, a young Who with astigmatism, goes out to the "euphemism" and blows away. He runs into the Grinch as he is picking brickles out of his fur, the end result of a failed attempt to hunt down the last Wuzzy Woozoo.

Jim Hardcastle groggily recovers consciousness in a pile of coal from the overturned tender, as shocked passengers wander about. One of them is Richard but his Ella is badly injured and on a stretcher; she dies before she can be taken away and Richard runs from the scene (and the attending police) unaware of the steamship ticket in Ella's handbag, which blows away. Philip seems unhurt and makes a dash for freedom, but as he tries to evade the detectives he runs dangerously close to the wreckage and an unstable coach collapses upon him. Irina and Raymond are only bruised and their company is able to continue, albeit in bandages.

Maleficent later wakes up and, by seeing that Diablo has been turned to stone, discovers that the fairies have freed Philip from her dungeon. She climbs to the top of one of her castle's towers and proceeds to blast Philip with lightning, and after the good fairies foil these attempts, she summons a forest of thorns, through which Philip slices his way out. Enraged, she blows away and confronts him in front of King Stefan's castle, and transforms into a huge dark dragon. The three fairies cast an enhancing enchantment on Phillip's Sword of Truth, which he throws into Maleficent's heart, mortally wounding her before she falls off the crumbling cliff to her death.

She next appears as an angel sitting on the side of the bed the friars carry with a background of stars and clouds and puts up a big red and black pennant surrounded by about four torches. She watches Chris Thompson on the big screen and they both are revealed being handcuffed together. She hangs on to a tree blown in the wind that blows away the leaves and the long grass, appears in a red Mandarin dress that sparkles standing underneath the entrance and pulls up the ropes that connect the red rubber with water.

Recording engineers were Derek Turner and Jason Varley; while Savage supplied lead vocals, piano and keyboards; Fox was on organ, accordion, percussion and backing vocals; and Tickner delivered guitars and backing vocals. I-94 Bar's Barman reviewed the EP "If, like me, you think of him principally as Nick Cave's piano player, then you need to take a deeper dive ... [it] blows away some of the preconceptions of him as solely a country artist or (gasp) a Goth ... [it] is nothing but a record of contrasting moods. And a very good one".

Two types of stars explode as supernovae: white dwarfs and massive stars. In the so-called Type Ia supernovae, gases falling onto a 'dead' white dwarf raise its mass until it nears a critical level, the Chandrasekhar limit, resulting in a runaway nuclear fusion explosion that obliterates the star; in Type Ib/c and Type II supernovae, the progenitor star is a massive star whose core runs out of fuel to power its nuclear fusion reactions and collapses in on itself, releasing gravitational potential energy in a form that blows away the star's outer layers.

Some hours later, after hearing the anchor drag in the fog, the Walkers realise that the tide has risen, the anchor chain is now too short, and they are drifting down river. While attempting to put out more chain, John loses the main anchor, tries to lower the spare (kedge) anchor but it fails, leaving the yacht drifting out beyond Beach End into the North Sea. Aboard the drifting boat, John decides that it is safer to hoist the sails and go farther out to sea rather than stay near the shore among the sandbanks and shoals of the estuary, with the risk of being wrecked in the fog. A strengthening wind blows away the fog after a couple of hours, only for blinding rain to replace it.

The music video was directed by Michael Salomon and premiered on the CMT website on July 14, 2010. It features Toby singing in a trailer park with scenes of everyday life: his neighbor Carl lying outside in his "pool" (actually an inflatable kiddie pool), his other neighbor James playing poker with his friends, an unnamed woman hanging clothes on the clothesline to dry, and two boys watching a scantily-clad woman wash her car. Halfway through the song, a windstorm passes through which creates havoc (Carl's pool blows over, James' sandwich blows away - to Toby who proceeds to eat it while chaining himself to his lawn chair and using a staple gun to keep his cap on, the clothes drying woman loses her laundry, a TV falls of the stand, someone's tooth falls out, a local reporter interviews residents while having his toupee blow upwards, and the car washing woman loses her bra). At the end, the residents gather together (except for the woman, who is pleading with the boys for the return of her bra while they want her to uncover herself).
