Along the journey, Freddie put his Bus' "secret weapon" to use: an electrolysis kit installed to the Bus to help supplying the engine with fresh oxygen, supplementing performance, while Paddy and Chris suffered some damages; Chris' Dodge lost its clutch, prompting him to abandon the car, while Paddy's Oldsmobile blew a fuse (causing its horn to ring at times) and had its driver side door removed.
