Height is advantageous to a tennis player as it allows players to create more power when serving as well as giving players a greater arm span, allowing them to get to sharp-angled shots more easily and a greater chance of returning a lobbed shot. However, being tall can have some disadvantages, such as difficulty bending down to reach low volleys or striking shots close to the abdomen. Examples of very tall players are Ivo Karlović , John Isner , Kevin Anderson , Juan Martín del Potro and Marin Čilić both , all known for their powerful serves. The Big Four in the present all measure above , but not exceedingly in the way those mentioned prior.

Outer tepals are oblong-ovate, slightly tapering to a blunt tip, long, white with a light green vein, have a ciliate or very finely serrated edge, and on the outside with little glandular hairs. Inner perianth leaves are white, elongate with a blunt tip, a vein and adhere with the slightly longer upper outer perianth leaf, thereby forming an upward decurved upper lip. The lower lip is pale green with a wide irregular jagged edge of crystal-like transparent white growths, oblong, approximately long and 2½–3 mm (0.10–0.12 in) wide, trough-shaped, rounded and without lobes and at its top bending down. Both lips give the flower as a whole a trumpet shape.

The cover art to "Free Free"/"Super Music Maker" was photographed by Takashiro Akihisa, who also directed the accompanying music video for the song, and was revealed on July 18, 2007. There are three different artworks; the normal CD cover featured Suzuki kneeling down, whilst the DVD had her bending down with her back towards the camera. The artworks were placed on the back of the jewelcases, and the booklet featured another shot of her looking upwards; when opened, her bottom half is shown on the other side of the book. Additionally, Avex printed the booklets in a special lenticular paper that imitated the LED lights in the background of the photoshoot.

Then, the third person in the Khar team locks his hands around the upper part of the backward leaning leg of the second person, and he himself bends down with one leg in the front and one leg to the back. The rest of the Khar team follow suit, each bending down with one leg in front and one leg in back, while locking their hands around the upper leg of the person immediately in front of them.

A small plaque (about 15 cm x 10 cm) can be affixed across the front of each niche and is generally included as part of the price of a niche. As the writing on the plaques has to be fairly small to fit on the small size of the plaque, the design of columbarium walls is constrained by the ability of visitors to read the plaques. Thus, the niches are typically placed between 1 metre to 2 metres above the ground so the plaques can be easily read by an adult. Some columbarium walls have niches going close to ground level, but these niches are usually unpopular with families as it is difficult to read the plaque without bending down very low (something older people in particular find difficult or uncomfortable to do).

Video evidence, supported by the testimony of witnesses, indicated that Belousov had only thrown a piece of fruit. In one four-second video, according to Forbes Magazine, he was seen “bending down to pick up an object, which he then aimlessly tossed…in the direction of riot police. They have a drum rotating around a horizontal axis, as a front-loader, but there is no front door; instead there is a liftable lid which provides access to the drum, which has a hatch which can be latched shut. Clothes are loaded, the hatch and lid are closed, and the machine operates and spins just like a front-loader. These machines are narrower but usually taller than front-loaders, usually have a lower capacity, and are intended for use where only a narrow space is available, as is sometimes the case in Europe. They have incidental advantages: they can be loaded without bending down; they do not require a perishable rubber bellows seal; and instead of the drum having a single bearing on one side, it has a pair of symmetrical bearings, one on each side, avoiding asymmetrical bearing loading and potentially increasing life.

Born in Seville, Andalusia, and a product of hometown club Sevilla FC's youth system, Gallardo made his first-team debut aged 20, being instrumental in their 2001 return to La Liga and proceeding to have a further two solid seasons with the main squad. In November of that year, he was fined and suspended by the Royal Spanish Football Federation for violating standards of "sporting dignity and decorum" after he congratulated teammate José Antonio Reyes, who had just scored, by bending down and biting on his penis. After a relatively successful loan at Getafe CF, helping the Madrid side retain their newly acquired top division status, Gallardo's career would be very irregular: he served two unassuming loans in early 2006, starting with Vitória S.C. from Portugal, then moved in the 2006–07 campaign to Real Murcia in Segunda División, still on contract to Sevilla.

Elsewhere however it was pointed out that over the previous 20 years Resnais had repeatedly demonstrated his cinematic engagement with various forms of popular culture (the strip-cartoon in I Want to Go Home, boulevard theatre in Mélo, the popular song in On connaît la chanson), and that here again he was doing same for Parisian operetta with genuine affection, and without adopting "the posture of a high-art auteur bending down to, or 'reworking', a popular genre".
