The eastern yellow-bellied racer is a thin- bodied snake, capable of attaining a total length of 1.5 metres (60 inches). As an adult, its color is an olive grey-green with a yellow underside. As a juvenile it is remarkably different, having a tan or cream-colored body with brown or grey blotches. The color gradually changes as the snake ages, becoming solid olive grey-green.

"Shape of...", "Form of..." Zan can transform into water at any state (solid, liquid, gas) and add to his mass by incorporating water in his immediate area. In the case of becoming solid ice, he can also become any form he chooses, from a humanoid ice giant to a cage for a criminal to complex machinery (such as a jet engine, as he did in the episode "Eruption"). In the episode "Pressure Point", he changes into a gelatinous form. In "Terror from the Phantom Zone", he was able to transform into liquid nitrogen.

In the second and third realities, clouds are solid, allowing the player to reach previously inaccessible areas. Plant-based objects also change, becoming solid, passable, or deadly depending on which reality is being visited, and certain bricks change from being solid, to breakable from underneath, to disappearing if Zee Tee steps upon them. Enemies move at different speeds and show very different attitudes from one reality to the next, while certain hazards only appear at certain realities. Collecting the gems strewn about each level confers no benefit during gameplay, but collecting all of them allows the player to access a secret level as well as a new state of eversion, and at the level's conclusion, see a second ending to the game.

" One video focused on a close-up of the artist's body drifting in an ocean surf, while the other placed the body in a field of snow. In conversation with Kristina Olson, Villalobos Echeverría states: "The hovering body was not only dislocated from geography but also involved in a kind of autopoiesis, suggesting the possibility or potential for self-creation." This is conceptually tied to the physical properties of EPS foam being a thermoplastic and moldable material capable of changing from solid to viscous liquid when heated above a certain temperature becoming solid again when cooled. In 2009, Villalobos Echeverría produced the site-specific installation Parasite (40°27’25”N 80°00’48”W) at the Mattress Factory, described by Pittsburgh City Paper art critic Melissa Kuntz as consisting of "seamlessly crafted white foam 'parasites,' installed to look as though they have infested one room's walls.

The story recounts various episodes in the life of the fictional French flyer, Jacques Bernis, from his early experiences as an aviator to his work as a flying instructor, to his last flight when the wing of his monoplane shatters during an aerobatic maneuver. The work is an example of Saint-Exupéry's formative writing style which would evolve into the more evocative, winning form he would later become famous for. In his short work the author uses picturesque metaphors, for example comparing the propeller wash flowing backwards like a river in his description of the movements of the grass behind an airplane: "Battue par le vent de l'hélice, l'herbe jusqu'à vingt mètres en arrière semble couler", as well as his descriptions of the physical sensation of the air becoming solid: "Il regarde le capot noir appuyé sur le ciel". In a short foreword to the story, Jean Prévost wrote: "I met [Saint-Exupéry] at the home of friends and greatly admired his vigor and finesse in describing his impressions as a pilot.... He has a gift for directness and truth that seems to me amazing in a beginning writer".
