The win was very popular within the PHRA club membership. Meeuwsen also briefly attended graduate school at Pacific University in Forest Grove before taking a job at UPS. Meeuwsen worked as a driver at UPS for 3 years before becoming a graduate assistant football coach at Oregon State.

Heger received her bachelor's degree in 1919 from the University of California, Berkeley, becoming a graduate student in astronomy. After marrying C. Boolchand was born in 1944, in Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh, in Northern India. He moved to the US in the Fall of 1965, becoming a graduate student at Case Western Reserve, Cleveland, OH, receiving his PhD in the Fall of 1969. Harrison's education at Sir John Cass Technical Institute was interrupted by World War II, during which he served for six years with the British Army in various military campaigns, eventually serving as Radar Adviser to the Northern Area of the (British) Egyptian Army. Following World War II, Harrison became a British civil servant, first with the Atomic Energy Research Establishment in Harwell, and later at the Rutherford High Energy Laboratory. During this time he attained the equivalent of university degrees, becoming a graduate, then an Associate, and finally a Fellow of the Institute of Physics. George Roll is an American ice hockey coach. He was the head coach of the Clarkson Golden Knights from 2003 thru the end of the 2010-11 season, leading them to their most recent conference championship and NCAA tournament appearance. Roll began his coaching career shortly after finishing his college career at Bowling Green where he was part of the 1984 National Championship team, becoming a graduate assistant for his alma mater before joining first- year coach Mark Morris's staff at Clarkson. Roll remained as an assistant for eight years, helping Morris establish Clarkson as a power in ECAC Hockey, winning two regular season titles, two tournament titles, and making the NCAA tournament six times, including a Frozen Four appearance for the first time in over 20 years.

In the interim the decision had been made by church leadership to pursue regional accreditation in California. However, in 1978 President Garner Ted Armstrong, son of college founder Herbert Armstrong, announced that everything would be moving back to the Texas campus,Ambassador Report, Issue 4, June, 1978 with the California facility becoming a graduate school. Within months, however, the younger Armstrong was ousted from all positions in the church and college due to an unrelated scandal,Ambassador Report, Issue 5, August, 1978 and Herbert Armstrong, recovered from a heart attack, announced that Ambassador was closing its doors altogether. That stance was softened just as quickly, however, and the decision was made to continue operating Ambassador as a scaled-down academic institution more in line with a bible college. Beginning in August 1978 new incoming students were offered a one-year course ("Diploma in Biblical Studies") with graduation thereafter, on 4 Sep.1979.
