12 Slovak also used a talk box on songs such as "Green Heaven" and "Funky Crime", in which the sounds of his amplified guitar would be played through a tube into his mouth and then back into a microphone, creating psychedelic, voice-like effects.Kiedis, Sloman, 2004. p. 112 Slovak helped to incorporate new sounds in the group's work, including adding occasional drum machines. Despite the fact that the group billed itself as "The Organic Anti-Beat Box Band", Kiedis states that Slovak showed the group that drum machines could be used as artistic instruments.
As he explained, "It was because we were coming up with some innovative music that I felt a license to use some signature guitar sounds."McCormick (2006), pp. 296, 299–300 Although the group wished to establish a more stripped-down, conventional sound, one of the song's breakthroughs came after co producer Brian Eno provided "electronification of the chords with a beat box" and a synthesised string part to the beginning. The Edge believes the contrast between these more electronic qualities of the track and his backing vocals with Lanois benefited the song.

The album's first track, "Pop", refers to NSYNC's defense of the pop genre towards their critics. Larry Flick of Billboard described the song as "a crafty, anthemic blend of Cameo-style electro-funk beats, Euro-pop synths, heavy-metal guitars, and Timberlake's now-signature human beat-box riffs", while John Hugar of Uproxx referred to it as "a sort of proto-salvo against in the rockist vs. poptimists argument", and called the song a preview of Timberlake's 2003 single "Rock Your Body". The next track, "Celebrity", is lyrically themed around the band's struggle to be accepted in celebrity culture without being manipulated.

During the second chorus, we see the band performing in a large outdoor roller-rink, complete with a disco ball. They are surrounded by a crowd dancing along, and to begin the 3rd chorus, Rob slides off the stage on all fours onto the dance floor past the crowd. At the end of the song, the roller skater shuts off his beat box and then proceeds up some stairs, presumably to his home.
Serbian Brass music has had a major impact on the world music scene. Introduced to western audiences through the films of Emir Kusturica featuring soundtracks by Goran Bregović, it soon spread to European dancefloors spearheaded by DJ Robert Soko's "Balkan Beats" parties in Berlin, Germany. Traditional bands from Serbia like the Boban Marković Orkestar and from Romania as Fanfare Ciocărlia garnered worldwide attention while new bands like New York-based Balkan Beat Box or the Amsterdam Klezmer Band fused the Balkan sound with other genres like Klezmer, electronic music, or Ska. DJs and producers, most prominently Shantel from Germany, successfully mixed Serbian Brass with electronic beats.

The song is built around sampled instrumentals from "Hermetico" by the Israeli band Balkan Beat Box from their 2007 studio album Nu Med. The main saxophone loop is based on symbolic Turkish traditional ornamentations, particularly rendering the Turkish wind instrument Zurna. A music video for "Talk Dirty" was directed by Colin Tilley, which incorporates types of dance from a variety of different cultures: it was released through Derulo's account on YouTube on August 7, 2013.

Beatboxers can create their beats just naturally, but many of the beatboxing effects are enhanced by using a microphone plugged into a PA system. This helps the beatboxer to make their beatboxing loud enough to be heard alongside a rapper, MC, turntablist, and other hip hop artists. Beatboxing was popular in the 1980s with prominent artists like the Darren "Buffy, the Human Beat Box" Robinson of the Fat Boys and Biz Markie displaying their skills within the media. It declined in popularity along with b-boying in the late 1980s, but has undergone a resurgence since the late 1990s, marked by the release of "Make the Music 2000." by Rahzel of The Roots.
Producer Ricky Reed originally wrote the song for Missy Elliott. The song contains a sample of "Hermetico" by the Israeli band Balkan Beat Box from their 2007 album Nu Med. During an interview with Digital Spy, Derulo stated that the prospect of his first single with a guest appearance made him "really excited": he called "Talk Dirty" "shocking" and "out there", and felt that listeners would "be thinking 'Hmm, really?!'", but also that "it was so much fun". The song was released to digital retailers in New Zealand on August 2, 2013, with a release in Australia following on August 9: it was released in the United Kingdom on September 15, 2013.

AllMusic describes rap metal as having "big, lurching beats and heavy, heavy riffs" that "occasionally ... [sound] as if the riffs were merely overdubbed over scratching and beat box beats", and described rap rock as having a more organic sound, characterizing many songs in the genre as rock songs in which the vocals were rapped rather than sung. Allmusic also states that the rhythms of rap rock are rooted in that of hip hop, with more funk influences than normal hard rock. New York- based hip hop group Beastie Boys are considered highly influential within the rap rock genre. Hed PE, which fuses punk rock with hip hop, occasionally incorporates reggae and heavy metal influences.
M.C., L.L. Cool J, and Whodini, the Fat Boys were the finest that hip-hop's "Second Generation" (as it was called) had to offer." The review declared it to be an "excellent debut album" which was "humorous, wildly entertaining, and unapologetically funky" and that the album was "a true hip-hop classic." Robert Christgau gave the album A-, saying "...These prize porkers parody insatiability--long after the break of dawn (long after you're limp, Dick), they'll still be stuffing it. They won't ever be great rappers technically, though Prince Markie Dee has the poise and clarity to get close and the bass-kazoo hums and belchlike aspirations of the Human Beat Box show rhythmic instinct and sonic imagination.

Its distinctive sound almost defines 1980s pop, and it can be heard on hundreds of hit records from the era, including The Human League's Dare, Gary Numan's Dance, Devo's New Traditionalists, and Ric Ocasek's Beatitude. "Talk Dirty" largely refrains from the pop and electronic influences heard in Derulo's earlier eras, instead shifting prominently from pop-rap and contemporary R&B.; The song opens and closes with a woman speaking words in broken English: Spin magazine considered this one element of an attempt to encompass an "international polyglot/clusterfuck pop atmosphere" similar to that found in the production work of Timbaland in the early 2000s. Ricky Reed's instrumentation, which contains a sample of "Hermetico" by Israeli group Balkan Beat Box, incorporates percussion as well as the "honky-horns" that back the hook, which Spin likened to those found in "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and "Somewhereinamerica" by Jay-Z. The song is in the F sharp minor with a Phrygian dominant scale.
Teasing Nature is the second full-length studio album by Israeli alternative/progressive rock band Eatliz, released on December 19, 2010. The album has been described as being very experimental in comparison to the band's earlier work, ditching the heavy metal elements which were very dominant on past releases, in favor of more electronic elements, and more use of synthesizers and keyboards, collaborating with the likes of Tamir Muskat of Balkan Beat Box and Omri Behr. Bands that influenced the album's sound include Portishead and Sonic Youth. In January 2011, the album's release was celebrated with 3 special release shows: on January 5, at the Barby club in Tel Aviv, on January 13, at the Yellow Submarine in Jerusalem, and on January 22, at the Beat club in Haifa.
Collaboration between Gurtu and McLaughlin included vocal improvisations using the Indian tala talk method of oral drumming notations for teaching drum patterns. Sometimes, Eckhardt would join in with hip-hop beat-box vocals for a three-way vocal percussion jam, while Gurtu and McLaughlin would throw in a few amusing words such as some Japanese brand names mixed with some Indian words. Some of the unusual aspects of Gurtu's drum playing include playing without a drum stool, in a half-kneeling position on the floor, and the use of an unconventional kick drum that resembles a large drum head with a kick-pedal, and a mix of tablas and western drums. Gurtu's unique percussion signature involves dipping cymbals and strings of shells into a bucket of water to create a shimmering effect.
David Courtright of Atlanta Music Guide reviewed a September 21, 2010 performance of the track at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, Georgia, which he deemed "the perfect venue for [CocoRosie]." Courtright described the track a "crowd-pleaser" for the "bohemian, rather same-sex oriented" audience. Detailing the performance, the review states that the Casady sisters appeared on stage wearing "a very French ensemble... floral-patterned black stockings with runs and holes, red lips outlined in black" and a "beat-box wizard, a percussionist and a piano/synth player... [a] drum/percussion kit was encased in an antique baby's crib with fat baby painted on the side... Behind [them] was a large screen that projected every kind of bizarre psychedelic image... doll heads dripping blood and crying to orbiting paper roses, flashes of heat lightning, close ups of lion fur and mane, carousels spinning, lots of eyeballs crying and blinking, and crucifixes".
296, 299–300 For example, there was a big debate amongst the band members during the writing and recording of "Beautiful Day"; The Edge was playing with a guitar tone that he had not used much since their 1983 album War and the band wanted something more forward-looking. The Edge won out and the tone made it into the final version of the song. Additionally, although the record was described as "a return to the traditional U2 sound", many songs were complex and retained elements of the band's 1990s experimentation; The introduction of "Beautiful Day" features an "electronification of the [chorus] chords with a beat box and a string part"; "New York" came together when the band members were away at a meeting and Lanois and Eno were playing around with a drum loop that Mullen had recorded. The album's recording wrapped up in 2000.

The 1983 version of the Dancin' on Air theme was released as a single on both a picture disc and 45 RPM on the Wordan label, owned by The Tonight Show's band leader Doc Severinsen, and also co- owned by the show's producer Michael Nise.Dancin On Air Theme Song His musical compositions were used on national commercials from J.C. Penney's, Owens Corning and also made an appearance on a Bud Light commercial during the 1997 Super Bowl in which he did an impromptu beat-box scat that was seen by millions.
Toop, p.146 The track also helped popularize the 808, which became a cornerstone of hip hop music; Wired and Slate both described the machine as hip hop's equivalent to the Fender Stratocaster, which had dramatically influenced the development of rock music. Released in 1986, Licensed to Ill by the Beastie Boys became the first rap LP to top the Billboard album chart. Other groundbreaking records released in 1982 include "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, "Nunk" by Warp 9, "Hip Hop, Be Bop (Don't Stop)" by Man Parrish, "Magic Wand" by Whodini, and "Buffalo Gals" by Malcolm McLaren. In 1983, Hashim created the influential electro funk tune "Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)", while Warp 9's "Light Years Away"(1983), "a cornerstone of early 80s beat box afrofuturism", introduced socially conscious themes from a Sci-Fi perspective, paying homage to music pioneer Sun Ra.Fitzpatrick, Rob, "The 101 strangest records on Spotify: Warp 9 - It's A Beat Wave," May 14, 2014 Grandmaster Melle Mel.
