Bamber Lake is an unincorporated community located in Lacey Township, New Jersey, United States, west of the Garden State Parkway. The area is protected by the “New Jersey Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan of 1979, which has placed limits on the development in these areas”. The two prominent roads for the area are Lacey Road and Dover Road, which provide the only direct routes to Bamber Lake. The lake has two beachfronts and a man-made dam with a walk across bridge.

The owners of the homes surrounding the Inn, led by Evelyn Jablons, organized as the Mamakating Park Property Owners Civic Association after World War II bought a section of lakefront property for members to use and created a beachfront, cabanas, and swimming area. The hotel and Camp Lakota had their own, separate beachfronts. After the hotel finally shut down in the 1950s, Camp Lakota bought the property and used the buildings. The hotel itself was destroyed in a 1970s fire.

1931 Schneider Trophy team from the UK In 1931 the British government withdrew support, but a private donation of £100,000 from the wealthy and ultra-patriotic Lucy, Lady Houston, allowed Supermarine to compete. When the French and Italian teams dropped out, leaving no other competitors, the British team flew the course alone on 13 September and won the coveted Schneider Trophy outright, having beaten the time record from the 1929 competition. Reportedly half a million spectators lined the beachfronts. The Italian, French, and German entrants failed to ready their aircraft in time for the competition.

It has also spread over time to other countries around the world.History of Israeli Dance Rivka Sturman, who immigrated to Palestine in 1929, observed that children were being taught German songs in kindergarten and decided it was important for them to have songs and dances that reflected the culture of their own country. She joined a newly formed organization sponsored by the Histadrut that devoted itself to the creation of folk dances.
