In 2014 Dubsky and her husband Paul were refused planning permission to turn part of their home into an “eco-education centre,” on the grounds it could cause pollution. In reaching its decision, on an appeal by Dublin-based holiday home owners, the planning board overruled both the local authority and its own inspector, noting the area as being at very high risk from domestic sewage pollution. “The board considered that the proposed development, in close proximity to a stream and to bathing waters, to a proposed drain and to other dwellings, would be prejudicial to public health” it said.

A subsequent motion by Clarke's lawyer to have the inquiry halted was dismissed as being against the public interest. Owing to the prospect of the private prosecution, when the inquiry resumed Clarke was warned by the Sheriff that he did not have to answer incriminating questions. In 1310 the brothers built a new chapel, for which they had neglected to obtain the permission of the Bishop of London. The Commissioners of the Irish Revenue similarly argued that there was no shortage of halfpence and farthings in Ireland, and a large influx of copper coins would be prejudicial to the country's commerce and the royal revenue. The Parliament of Ireland sent an address to the king in September 1723 protesting against the coins' introduction, citing the danger of inflation and of legal tender (gold and silver) coinage flowing out of Ireland as well as the "Clandestine and Unpresedented manner" in which Wood had obtained his patent. Between 1624 and 1625, Anstruther attempted to negotiate between Christian IV, Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden, John George I, Elector of Saxony, and the Lower Saxon Circle, but the Swedish plans were ultimately rejected and King James accepted Christian's plans. Although he continued as ambassador to Denmark-Norway after the coronation of Charles I, he left the Danish court in 1629 after the Treaty of Lübeck, finishing much of his residency from Hamburg. In August 1630, Anstruther served as ambassador to the Diet of Regensburg, and was kindly received by Ferdinand II, Holy Roman Emperor. Although the Diet was dissolved, Anstruther managed to secure another meeting with Ferdinand, before returning to Scandinavia, believing that any further work in the Holy Roman Empire would be prejudicial to Stuart interests.

Moral rights are recognised under section 57 of India copyright act. Section 57 of India Copyright act refers to Author's Special rights. Potter Stewart sought to make an argument for the objective test, calling it "the only one truly consistent with the underlying rationale of the defense". Like the concurrences in the earlier two opinions, he argued that a judge, not a jury, should decide whether law enforcement crossed the line. He rejected the idea that the defendant's conduct or state of mind had any bearing, since arguing entrapment by its very nature concedes commission of the act: "He may not have originated the precise plan or the precise details, but he was "predisposed" in the sense that he has proved to be quite capable of committing the crime". Like Owen Roberts in Sorrells, he expressed concern that a predisposition test would needlessly deter defendants who might otherwise have a case based on the behavior of the government agents involved from doing so, since it would allow the prosecution to bring up prior bad acts that would be prejudicial to the jury and otherwise inadmissible.

The Wicher Marshal Piłsudski decided at the suggestion of the Deputy Polish Foreign Minister, Colonel Józef Beck, to use the upcoming visit of the British warships as a trial of strength, as he was highly concerned of the possibility of Herriot and Papen reaching a deal at Lausanne that would be prejudicial to Poland. At a meeting with the commander of the Polish Navy, Admiral Józef Unrug and the captain of the destroyer, ORP Wicher Lieutenant Commander Tadeusz Morgenstern-Podjazd, it was decided that the Wicher would serve as the host to the British squadron regardless if the Free City granted permission or not. The fact that Britain had accepted an invitation from the Free City to have the Royal Navy squadron visit Danzig without Warsaw being consulted had offended both Piłsudski and even more so Beck, who was rapidly becoming Piłsudski's favorite adviser on foreign policy. Beck tended to favor a more confrontational foreign policy than Zaleski, and the cruise of the Wicher was an early sign of a shift in Polish foreign policy.

All five were charged with criminal damage and taken to trial. After some preliminary meetings, their case was heard in Bristol Crown Court by Justice Grigson, with the defence resting on the claim that the war was illegal, making their actions a justifiable attempt to prevent war crimes. The case put pressure on the attorney general Lord Goldsmith to reveal the advice he had given to the government in the lead up to the war. A guilty verdict was reached at the court in Bristol, but through an appeal to the Royal Court of Justice the defendants were able to obtain a hearing at the British High Court. This caused enough concern at the Foreign Office to lead under- secretary of state Sir Michael Hastings to warn "it would be prejudicial to the national interest and to the conduct of the Government’s foreign policy if the English courts were to express opinions on questions of international law", in a four-page statement which was passed to the court minutes before the hearing was due to start.
