The project was redesigned again in 2012. The redesigned project proposes a three line metro network consisting of of route and 26 stations to be built by China Railway International and financed by a US$1.8 billion loan from China. Line A would run from Colón Avenue in the west to Bajada de Piedra and serve 11 stations. An interchange would be provided at Maipú with the proposed north-south Line B, which would run from Alta Córdoba near the Belgrano Railway station to Rontonda las Flores, and would serve 8 stations.
Holy Week is commemorated each year in Santa Cruz de La Palma, Canary Islands, by processions marking the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is one of the oldest festivities in the island of La Palma, and is the most significant public religious event that takes place in the city, except for the Lustral Festivity of the Bajada de la Virgen. During the Middle to Late Miocene era the Albuquerque and Espanola basins formed one basin, an irregular half-graben tilting west, formed by high-angle faulting on reactivated structures from the Laramide orogeny. The Embudo-Pajarito-La Bajada-San Francisco-Rincon fault system became active at the end of the Miocene. When this happened, the Albuquerque basin reversed its half-graben tilt from west to east, and now slopes down to the base of the newly formed Sandia Mountains. Sandia Mountains from the Rio Grande bosque in Albuquerque.
Washington, D.C. Later the well was used to provide water to cattle that grazed in the area, and now the windmill pumps water to a guzzler for wildlife. The Davidson Canyon area and the associated bajada to the south of the range contain the northernmost populations of senita cactus (Pachycereus schottii). This columnar cactus is very common further south in Mexico, but in the United States it is restricted to small areas of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument and this isolated population in the Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge.

This event can draw up to 20,000 visitors, leading authorities to restrict access to the exposed archeological ruins on the south side. The ritual is performed on the pyramid with poetry, indigenous dance and music and fireworks.
The most famous of the Maltese spies, Bajjada is said to have learned the Turkish language during years of captivity. Disguised as a Turk, he would infiltrate the enemy camps and along with the four other Maltese spies of the era (Andrew Zahra, James Pace, Anton Cascia, Francis Xerri), played a crucial role in intelligence gathering for the Christian side. Personally chosen for the task by Grand Master Jean de Valette, Bajada also became famous for swimming at length to carry secret messages in and out of the besieged cities of Birgu and Senglea.
Ivanpah is in the Mojave National Preserve in San Bernardino County, California. There are several residences in the area, but no real village. 1250 and remained in use until c. 1450. The presence of irrigation and domestic water supply canals in the bajada of the Pinaleño Mountains of Safford Basin expands the knowledge of prehistoric water management and agricultural intensification in the American Southwest. In contrast to the lowland riverine floodplain canals, such as those of the Hohokam culture in the Phoenix Basin, an extensive network of canal systems exists in the undulating piedmont landscape of southeastern Arizona. These canal systems are seen as an adaptive technology to mitigate the arid topography and climate, and greatly expand the settlement and agricultural potential of the area.
The main unifying factor of the city is its complicated system of mostly religious festivals which occur year-round. This has been true of Cholula since the pre Hispanic period, although religious rituals have changed. The most important of these festivals are celebrated citywide. These include Vaniloquio (when church bells are rung in concert), Holy Week, Carnival, and Fiesta del Pueblo with the two most important being the Bajada, which the Virgin of the Remedies leaves her sanctuary on the Pyramid to visit the various barrios and the feast for this same Virgin image on 8 September.
Location and quarry map of the holotype The only specimen was excavated in 2010 by palaeontologists of the CONICET, the science agency of the Argentinian government. The site of discovery, the Bajada Colorada locality, is located south the town of Picún Leufú, near the western banks of Limay River, in Patagonia. The specimen, of which only some teeth were initially exposed, was found by Argentinian palaeontologist Pablo Gallina. As fossils in this area are often fragile, the specimen was not excavated bone-by-bone in the field but extracted as a single large block of rock and bone wrapped in plaster.
During the Santo Domingo festival some people cover themselves in a mix of grease and motor oil to pay promises to the saints while others wear masks and costumes. Carnaval in 2007. Managua's most famous festival is that of its patron saint Santo Domingo de Guzmán. It starts on the morning of August 1, when the "Bajada del Santo" (walk down of the saint) involves many joyful people walking and carrying the old statue of Santo Domingo from Las Sierritas Church in south Managua to another church across the city to the north, in the area destroyed by the 1972 earthquake.
The work of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento ended the previous "Bajada de San Francisco", so it was expropriations that caused expected unrest among the owners and neighbors. The subsequent Plaza and Parque de Emilio Castelar is part of the height of the architectural work of Goerlich Lleó starring purist, Art Deco and Modernisme styles. Which was destined to become the new civic center of the city, competing with the plazas de la Reina and de la Virgen, it was then carried out by a high and triangular platform. The corners, culminated with fountains, representing the three provinces of the region.

Juan de Garay, after founding Santa Fe, explored this area, which he called la otra banda ("the other bank"). However, the region remained entirely indigenous and uninhabited by Europeans until a group of colonists from neighbouring Santa Fe Province settled on the Bajada del Paraná in the late seventeenth century, now the site of the provincial capital. At the same time towns appear, which we now know as Nogoyá, Victoria, Gualeguay, Gualeguaychú, Concepción del Uruguay and Concordia. Tomás de Rocamora further explored the area in 1783 under the threat of a Portuguese invasion from Brazil, and gave official status to many of the above-mentioned towns.
The Baños del Cenizal are an Islamic baths located in the city of Toledo, in Castile-La Mancha, Spain. These Islamic baths, preserved in the cellars under the building of the calle Bajada del Colegio de Infantes nº 14 street, have had as purpose its conversion into a visitable space, by means of its putting in value with an appropriate approach of recovery of its most remarkable elements. It has focused on two rooms that make up the Bath or Hammam: the main hall and cold room, since all other rooms (hot and warm rooms) are conserved under the adjacent buildings. They are declared of Bien de Interés Cultural.
The salt deposits consist mainly of gypsum, halite and ulexite, they form crenulated rims and pressure ridges in some points. The playa appears to be somewhat asymmetric, lower in the northwest, probably a consequence of faulting. Salar de Punta Negra lies at the centre of a converging drainage network and is surrounded by a bajada which often becomes steep where it meets the playa and is itself crisscrossed by channels that originate in dry valleys at the top of the bayada. Of these dry valleys, four of these in the Western Cordillera carry water seasonally and are known as Quebrada Zorros, Quebrada Zorritos, Quebrada Tocomar (or Toconar) and Quebrada Llullaillaco.
Among the important shared festivals, there are Carnival, the Vaniloquio, when the bells of the city's churches ring in coordination, Holy Week, La Bajada, when the image of the Virgin of the Remedies comes down the pyramid to visit the various neighborhoods and the most important, the feast day of the Virgin of the Remedies on 8 September. These and other traditions have roots in the pre Hispanic period. Many Cholutecans still use their pre- Hispanic surnames, such as former town stewards Raymundo Tecanhuehue and Humberto Tolama Totozintle. This is because a number of the old Indian nobility was allowed certain privileges after the Conquest.
Preparation of the block in the laboratory then revealed most of the skull as well as the first two and probably the fifth neck vertebrae of a new genus of dinosaur. The site of discovery is part of the Bajada Colorada Formation, a succession of sedimentary rocks in the Neuquén Basin that is dated to the late Berriasian to Valanginian stages of the Early Cretaceous. The specimen is now curated by the Museo Municipal Ernesto Bachmann in Villa El Chocón, Neuquén Province, under the specimen number MMCh-PV 75. The specimen was formally described as the holotype of a new genus and species, Bajadasaurus pronuspinax, by Gallina and colleagues in 2019.
Feast of Día de Reyes in Peru. Peru shares Epiphany customs with Spain and the rest of Latin America. Peruvian national lore holds that Francisco Pizarro was the first to call Lima "Ciudad de los Reyes" (City of the Kings) because the date of the Epiphany coincided with the day he and his two companions searched for, and found, an ideal location for a new capital. Even more popular in Peru than gift giving is the custom of the Bajada de Reyes when parties are held in honor of the taking down of family and public nativity scenes, and carefully putting them away until the next Christmas.
The San Cristobal Valley is a valley in the lower regions of the western Gila River Valley in southwestern Arizona in the western Sonoran Desert. The San Cristobal Wash drains northwest, but exists only in the southern half of the valley. The San Cristobal Valley drains north and northwesterly and parallels the Mohawk Valley and Mohawk Mountains to the west; the valley is less desert- like than the Mohawk Valley, and ends in an extensive southwest-northeast bajada-plains region, conducive to agriculture. The Gila River valley and Interstate 8 in Arizona are at the north end of the valley between the communities of Mohawk and Dateland.
The aloitadores, those responsible for restraining the horses whilst the rapa takes place, use only their body strength and raw skill to complete the job. Another interesting feature of the rapa is the Bajada– the process of rounding up the horses and leading them into Sabucedo – a part of the celebration joined by hundreds of local residents and visitors from further afield. Another element of the tradition is the celebration of a poignant mass, held very early on the Saturday morning, before going up the hill. During the mass, the congregation pray to San Lorenzo, the patron saint of Sabucedo, to keep those participating from any harm.
Records show that the tradition of the bajada, the subsequent rapa and the marking of the young foals dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. Nevertheless, it is believed that the tradition is actually much older as scholars such as Manuel Cabada have mentioned in their writings. In fact it could even be Pre-Roman, given that various petroglyphs have been found in the area in which men are depicted on horseback. In 1963, the festival was declared of National Touristic Interest, and in 2007 was awarded the status of International Touristic Interest, one of only four in Galicia to hold this prestigious title.
The island is predominately Roman Catholic and since 1676, has been known for the festival of Fiestas Lustrales de la Bajada de la Virgen de las Nieves (the bringing down of the Virgin of the Snow, Virgen de las Nieves), which has a rich history, from the time of the Bishop of the Canaries, Bartolomé García Ximénez. The festival features the dancing of "enanos" or midgets. The costumes that people wear have a hole at the top of the hat to allow them to see out, while giving the appearance of dancing midgets. People come from all over the world for the celebration which happens every five years.
The most important festival of El Hierro is the Bajada de la Virgen de los Reyes, held every four years, on the first Saturday of July (the last occasion was in 2017, and the next will be in 2021). During the festival, the Virgin of the Kings (Virgen de los Reyes, patron saint of the island of El Hierro) is taken from her sanctuary in La Dehesa (in the municipality of La Frontera) and carried to the capital of the island, Valverde, making a tour of 44 kilometres and running through all the towns of El Hierro. The annual festival of the Virgin is celebrated every September 24.
Photograph of Goerlich-Lleó family in which the young Javier Goerlich (architect that made the work) appears in the center, with guitar. The architect behind the popular Plaza de Emilio Castelar was the son of the consul of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Javier Goerlich Lleó. This decisive man in the image of the city of Valencia signed buildings like the headquarters of Bank of Valencia, in addition to expanding streets and avenues among which stand de la Paz, Poeta querol or Barón de Cárcer. Among other buildings of major streets of the downtown, Goerlich Lleó replaced the old "Bajada de San Francisco" by this.
The springs are located about south of Dugway and about west of the town Vernon, on the southeastern corner of the Dugway Proving Ground. The site lies on the Simpson Springs Road portion of the historic Pony Express Trail and is situated Simpson Springs lies at an elevation of about on a bajada of the northwest flank of the Simpson Mountains, on the eastern edge of Dugway Valley, and has long been a water source on the trail west from Salt Lake City across the desert regions. (The Simpson Buttes lie a few miles to the west within the Dugway Proving Ground.) The Bureau of Land Management maintains a campground in the area.
In 1842 he invaded Entre Ríos, pursuing the battered remains of Echagüe's forces (who resigned his office as governor) and took La Bajada (present Paraná city), seizing the government in the province. Unfortunately for him and the Unitarian cause, Ferré had grown increasingly suspicious of him and wasn't too happy with this turn of events. Instead of supporting Paz, helping him to recruit more men in Entre Ríos and take the war to Buenos Aires (thus posing a serious threat to the power of Rosas), he ordered the withdrawal of the victorious army back to Corrientes, leaving Paz without support in Entre Ríos and forcing him to flee to Montevideo where he reunited with his family.

Below the foothills, the area usually called the "Northeast Heights" consists of a mix of clay and caliche soils, overlaying a layer of decomposed granite, resulting from long-term outwash of that material from the adjacent mountains. This bajada is quite noticeable when driving into Albuquerque from the north or south, due to its fairly uniform slope from the mountains' edge downhill to the valley. Sand hills are scattered along the I-25 corridor and directly above the Rio Grande Valley, forming the lower end of the Heights. The Rio Grande Valley, due to long-term shifting of the actual river channel, contains layers and areas of soils varying between caliche, clay, loam, and even some sand.
On 5 August 2007, Marsaxlokk and Birkirkara reached an agreement over a swap deal which saw Camenzuli join Marsaxlokk and Shaun Bajada would join Birkirkara. Camenzuli made his debut for Marsaxlokk in the 2007–08 season, helping his new club to a second-place finish in the Maltese Premier League that season, making 18 appearances and scoring two goals. Camenzuli went into the 2008–09 season hoping to help Marsaxlokk gain some more silverware, however the club had an extremely disappointing start to the season by their own high standards, and only managed to gain a place in the championship pool by beating Msida Saint-Joseph in the final game of the first round. Camenzuli made 20 appearances, but failed to score any goals during the season.
Using the existing Santa Fe Southern Railway track from Lamy to Santa Fe, which is filled with sharp curves, would have required the train to slow to 15 miles per hour (24 km/h) in some places, so new tracks were laid to allow travel times comparable to the automobile. The route uses previously existing track from Bernalillo to the base of La Bajada, a hill south of Santa Fe. It then runs on newly built track on a new right-of-way from CP Madrid, for five miles and then in the I-25 median into Santa Fe, at CP Hondo, where it uses an improved Santa Fe Southern Railway track from I-25 to the terminal at the Santa Fe Railyard.
Shaun Bajada also left the club on loan until the end of the season, joining Msida Saint-Joseph. The team again impressed during the league season, and were confirmed as champions with one game remaining. They even achieved a 4–1 defeat of the second-placed Sliema Wanderers on the penultimate day of the season with Cleavon Frendo, Jamie Pace, André Schembri and Daniel Bogdanovic all finding the net on the day. Another award went back to Marsaxlokk when striker Daniel Bogdanovic finished as the league's top goalscorer with 31 goals in 28 appearances, and ended the season one goal short of Danilo Doncic's Maltese record of 32 goals in a season, set while playing for Valletta during the 2001/02 season.

The Modernisme Plaza of the City Hall of Valencia was the transformation of the square of the City Hall of Valencia by Javier Goerlich in 1931 (instead the former that was the called "Bajada de San Francisco"), now in its site is the current Plaza of the City Hall and its fountain. The Dr. Daniel Benito Goerlich (nephew of architect Goerlich Lleó), Professor of Art History and Curator of Cultural Heritage of the University of Valencia, assures that the reform of the 1930s "belongs to a very specific social context, and was destroyed a few years later in a completely different context, the repressive postwar, towards the "disaffected" to the political regime of the time." Benito Goerlich, is, curiously, nephew of architect Goerlich Lleó.

Clift's first instruction in photography was a workshop with Paul Caponigro in 1959, when he was fifteen and he has worked professionally since 1963, six years with Steve Gersh as his business partner in Cambridge. He was a founding member of the Association of Heliographers (1963–65) with Carl Chiarenza, Walter Chappell, Paul Caponigro, Nicholas Nixon, Paul Petricone, and Marie Cosindas. Since then, two of his books (2007 and 2012) were designed by Eleanor Caponigro. His early projects included photographing a 1970 series for the Massachusetts Council on the Arts, the old Boston City Hall, the Hudson River Valley, and courthouses around the country. Clift moved to Santa Fe in 1971 with his wife, Vida who after 10 years at Harvard taught at St. John’s while Clift began documenting the landscape of the region, including La Bajada, Canyon de Chelly, and Shiprock, the latter being paired in his photobook with imagery of Mont-St.
