The Locos are a Spanish ska punk band formed in 2005. The Locos were founded as a side project by Pipi, the backup vocalist for Spanish ska-punk group Ska-P, after the latter dissolved that same year. Although originally inclined not to rejoin Ska-P subsequent to their break-up, Pipi now divides his efforts between the two bands. After a worldwide tour that spanned 2005 to 2007, a second Locos album was slated for release in April 2008, called Energía Inagotable.

Released as the lead single through EMI Latin on April 13, 1994, it was written by Selena, her brother and music producer A.B. Quintanilla, and her band's backup vocalist Pete Astudillo. The Legends of Doo Wop is a music group of 1950s doo-wop singers. The original members included Jimmy Gallagher of the Passions, Tony Passalaqua of the Fascinators, Frank Mancuso of the Imaginations, and Steve Horn of the Five Sharks (died July 24, 2013). In 2006, Passalaqua left the group and was replaced by Tommy Mara of The Crests. Johnny Tarangelo, formerly of The Mystics and former Dion backup vocalist, Tommy Moran, are now part of the group, as of June 2016.

The band tried out a few new songs which were well received by the crowd. Sophie Moleta is an Australian singer, songwriter, composer and teacher with an intimate singing style. She is best known for her piano backed vocals in what can be described as 'folk pop', but has a wide range of recorded music with dance and house music, electronic ambient, laid back jazz and other styles. Moleta was born in New Zealand, but later moved to Perth, Western Australia. Her non-classical music career started with a local Perth punk band (The Brautigans) where she was backup vocalist and drummer.

Timaya later returned to Port Harcourt to study Banking and Finance at tertiary- level, however, he performed poorly in examinations and dropped out after first semester. He then moved back to Lagos to join Eedris Abdulkareem's hiphop group as a backup vocalist. After three years working for Eedris, Timaya departed from the group to focus on his solo career. He began to record collaborations with fellow up-and-coming artists and made his first cameo appearance in an unreleased music video by UDX, a Lagos-based rap group.

Prior to the Grateful Dead's 1972 tour of Western Europe, the band had undergone several changes in personnel. Drummer/percussionist Mickey Hart left the group in early 1971, making Bill Kreutzmann the group's sole drummer once again. Keyboardist Keith Godchaux was recruited, in September 1971, initially to augment founding member Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, who had been hospitalized and was experiencing increasingly poor health. Additionally, Godchaux's wife Donna (a former session singer who had worked with Percy Sledge and Elvis Presley) officially joined the band as a backup vocalist in March, shortly before the tour commenced.

The Matches are an American pop punk band formed in 1997 in Oakland, California, United States. The band is composed of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Shawn Harris, lead guitarist and backup vocalist Jonathan Devoto, bassist Justin San Souci, and drummer Matt Whalen. The Matches have released three studio albums and are currently unsigned after their contract with Epitaph Records expired. On July 9, 2009, the Matches announced on their MySpace and Facebook pages that they were taking a "hiatus", saying that, "our time to start new projects has come".

Stick Figure is an American reggae and dub band founded in 2006 and based in Southern California. The group has released seven full-length albums and one instrumental album, all of which were written and produced by frontman and self-taught multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff. Linear is an American freestyle-pop group from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The lineup originally consisted of founder, vocalist, and main songwriter Charlie Pennachio, bassist and guitar player Wyatt Pauley, percussion player Joey Restivo, drummer Gerald Rappaport, guitarist Phil Conneilly, and backup vocalist/keyboardist Ricki Archer. In 1989, the band had a hit with the gold single, "Sending All My Love," which was self-released on Futura Records by Pennachio and producer Tolga Katas. After the regional success of the single, founder Charlie Pennachio added the remaining band members Pauley, Restivo, Rappaport, Conneilly and Archer.

Prior to forming the duo, Simon Angell was a guitarist in Patrick Watson's band, while Erika Angell was based in Sweden, where she led bands Josef & Erika and The Moth and was backup vocalist for Loney, Dear. Thus Owls formed as a four piece in 2007 when Erika Angell began collaborating with drummer Ola Hultgren, bassist Martin Höper and pianist Cecilia Persson. On October 24, 2005, the tenth anniversary of the band's first album's release, Sharp announced he was bringing back The Rentals after a six-year absence. The band toured North America in the summer of 2006 with Ozma. Ryen Slegr of Ozma played guitar for both bands on the entire tour. The Rentals' lineup included original backup vocalist Rachel Haden on vocals and bass, Sara Radle on vocals and multiple instruments, Ben Pringle (from Nerf Herder) on synths and trombone, Lauren Chipman on viola and vocals, and Dan Joeright on drums.

Night Out is the 1979 debut studio album by Ellen Foley, a long-time backup vocalist for Meat Loaf. Seven of the nine tracks were cover versions of Foley's favorite songs, while two were co-written by Foley, one of which was "We Belong to the Night", which hit #1 in the Netherlands and #31 in Australia around Christmas of 1979. The musicians were mostly from Ian Hunter's touring band for his 1979 album You're Never Alone with a Schizophrenic, with the addition of Australian musician Kerryn Tolhurst on slide guitar. However, following the release of Destroy the Opposition, original member Jason Netherton left the band for personal reasons, and thereafter guitarist Voyles and drummer Talley left the band only months after the album's release (they since went on to form the band Misery Index). Gallagher recruited guitarist Mike Kimball, singer Vince Matthews, bassist/backup vocalist Sean Beasley, and the returning Eric Sayenga on drums. With the new lineup, the band released their 4th album, Stop at Nothing, in 2003, another album featuring Carr's production and strong political themes. A promotional video was shot for the track “One Shot, One Kill”.

Marc Anthony began his recording career in 1980s as a freestyle musician during which he was a backup vocalist for boy bands such as Menudo and the Latin Rascals. Anthony also wrote songs for his school friend Sa-Fire, including "Boy I've Been Told" which became a hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Anthony got his start as a lead vocalist when he collaborated with Little Louie Vega on the album When the Night Is Over. Philip Bardowell was born in Kingston, Jamaica W.I., and raised in southern California, singer/songwriter Philip Bardowell was introduced to music at an early age when he began piano lessons at the age of five. By the age of twelve, he taught himself how to play guitar and formed his first band. Diamond is married to Livia Zita, a Hungarian- born singer who has made appearances as a backup vocalist on the albums The Puppet Master and Give Me Your Soul...Please, as well as during live performances. Players select one of five band members to play as; the lead vocalist and band namesake Charlie Murder, guitarist Lester Deth, bassist Tommy Homicide, backup vocalist Kelly "Skelekitten" Skitten, or drummer The Rexecutioner. Players can complete the game alone, or can team together with up to three other people, through either offline (with all of the players using the same Xbox 360) or online cooperative gameplay (co-op). Timothy Drury (born July 5, 1961) is an American composer, keyboardist, guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and visual artist. His big breakthrough came in 1989 when Don Henley invited him to join The End of the Innocence tour as his pianist, keyboardist and backup vocalist. A few years later, he was back on tour playing keyboard, guitar and singing backup vocals with the Eagles for their "Hell Freezes Over" reunion, a tour that lasted from 1994 to 2000. He toured for seven years with the rock band Whitesnake, and with a friendly departure in September 2010, he left the band to pursue a solo career.

Selena wanted to write and record a song based on the story of her grandparents, who fell in love despite their different social classes. The singer was inspired by love letters written by her grandmother who wrote about her experiences as a maid to a wealthy family and her infatuation with their son. Her grandmother was forbidden to formulate a relationship with him because of her social class and described it as a "forbidden love". The singer suggested the idea to her brother and music producer A.B. Quintanilla, who began co-writing the track with her and Selena y Los Dinos backup vocalist Pete Astudillo.

At 17, Rodríguez-López left El Paso to hitchhike around the country for a year in the early 1990s, during which he acquired an addiction to opiates. Eventually he got in touch with friend Cedric Bixler-Zavala who suggested he come back to El Paso. With the help of Bixler-Zavala, he was able to return to El Paso where he could begin to reclaim his life from addiction and join At the Drive-In as backup vocalist and bass guitarist. After receiving a record deal with Flipside Records and recording Acrobatic Tenement with the band, he became their full-time bassist before switching to guitar.

Freeman joined punk band The Offspring as a touring guitarist and backup vocalist on their 2008 tour for the album Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace. In 2010, Freeman joined Hurricane as the lead vocalist, performing a few shows with the band before leaving in 2013. Jeff Pehrson, currently a backup vocalist for Furthur, began playing guitar and writing original songs in 1985 while matriculating at San Francisco State University. In 1987, along with keyboardist/vocalist friend Matt Twain, the Twain & Pehrson Duo began playing regular gigs at San Francisco's The Owl and the Monkey Cafe. In 1991, singer-songwriter Jim Brunberg joined the duo, forming the folk rock band, Box Set, that began performing locally, and after establishing a growing loyal fan base, regionally. Twain, who was unable to travel due to his day job, left the band, leaving the Box Set Duo, which still continues to perform on occasion in the Bay Area and Portland.

Lead singer, accordionist and guitar player Cindy Wheeler founded the Caulfield Sisters with bass player and backup vocalist Mary Catherine Guidera following the break-up of their former band Pee Shy in 1998. Wheeler and Guidera also briefly led a three-person band called 3 Wheeler immediately after Pee Shy broke up, and recorded a Mercury-financed demo recording under that name in 1998-99. Bobby Womack, The Temptations, Wilson Pickett and several well-known rhythm and blues artists. During this period he played drums on recording sessions produced by Jerry Williams Jr., who also recorded under the name Swamp Dogg, for Brooks O'Dell and Z.Z. Hill, as well as sessions for other artists, such as Ernie Shelby. He was also in demand as a demo singer for other writers and as a backup vocalist. A collection of his demos from this period entitled 'Let me be the man' was released on the Soulscape label in 2011 In 1972 he sang on "Get Involved", a demo of a song written by Memphis songwriter George Jackson.

Initially a member of a band known as the Country Generation, succeeded by the Super Grit Cowboy Band, Wright later performed as a backup vocalist and guitarist for Vern Gosdin. In December 1989, he quit Gosdin's band and wrote Ronnie Milsap's number one single "A Woman in Love". Wright signed with Airborne Records in 1990 and released "She's Got a Man on Her Mind", which charted at number 38 on Hot Country Songs. (A version of the same song by Conway Twitty charted one year later.) Wright was also slated to release an album titled Slick Hick in March 1990, which would have been produced by himself and Jeff Carlton.

During this time the band also changed its name to Cripplefish. In less than a year, Cripplefish's sound began to evolve from Grunge into Pop, prompting the lead singer, Staffan Atling, to leave the band. This shift in genre style led to a significant reformulation of the band. Cripplefish was renamed, this time taking the name The Bugs, but without a lead singer, Daniel was forced to pick up the slack on vocals while playing bass. Another reshuffling of the band's lineup brought in Robert Birming as drummer and Jojjo, the band’s only female member, was brought on as The Bugs' acoustic guitarist and backup vocalist.

Warren self-released her first solo record, Fates, in 2013 after touring as a backup vocalist with Iron & Wine for a year in 2012. In 1996 Ptak toured with Jakob Dylan for 3 months as a bass player and backup vocalist, playing songs from the album titled "Bringing Down the Horse". On the same tour he joined Tobi and Tammi Jaffee, more importantly he recorded a great track named "Pain in my Head", with Andrew Slater Dylan's manager, which was engineered by Toni Miller of The Wallflowers. Ptak was involved with The Wallflowers between the years 1996–1997 when Size 14 was signed. Later on Ptak moved to New York City to start a live version of his solo-project Artificial Joy which consisted of singer Milena Mepris (who later went to form Pin Me Down), bassist Mark Cevellos, and drummer Alex Elena.

The show featured Selena y Los Dinos; Selena as lead vocals along with backup vocalist Pete Astudillo, A.B. on bass, Suzette on drums, the singer's husband Chris Perez on electric guitar, Ricky Vela and Joe Ojeda on keyboards. There was no set list for the show, the band performed live in front of 3,000 and free-flowed with A.B. choosing the songs that the band would perform. The show began with the songs "Como la Flor" and "Baila Esta Cumbia", the singer asked Suzette's fiance Billy Arriaga on stage to perform with her. According to Perez, the band performed an unspecified number of songs that night that were ultimately left out of the album.

Geggy Tah released their debut album Grand Opening in 1994; Kurstin played bass, clavinet, guitar, organ, piano, synthesizers and drums, and was credited as a songwriter, producer, programmer, and backup vocalist. In 1996 the band released Sacred Cow. It included the song "Whoever You Are", which became a hit in 2001, after it was used in a television spot for Mercedes Benz. As the song ascended the charts, Geggy Tah released their final album, Into the Oh. In addition to playing with Geggy Tah, Kurstin did session work, one-offs and tours with artists including Beck, Ben Harper, Jon HassellKurstin played piano on Hassell's 1994 album Dressing for Pleasure and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Chris Rob performing in Harlem, NY in August 2015 Rob performed as the opening act at a pre-Grammy brunch sponsored by attorney Londell McMillan and the Artist Empowerment Coalition; and was also featured on both the ASCAP and BMI showcases in lower Manhattan. While on tour as the keyboardist and backup vocalist, he also took on the position of musical director for John Legend's 'Get Lifted' Tour. Chris Rob also performed with Stevie Wonder in Washington D.C. for President Barack Obama's inauguration festivities. In addition to his own solo shows, Rob directs the stage for classic hip hop artists including Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Black Moon, Talib Kweli, and The Real Live Show.

The Tambu single "I Will Remember", co-written by Lukather and Stan Lynch, reached number 64 on UK charts. Some Tambu reviewers contrasted Lukather's vocals with those of former singers Kimball and Williams (and indeed, heavily criticized the entire album), some concert reviewers noted that he struggled vocally on certain songs, and a number of backup singers and guest vocalists accompanied the band's live shows during that period. It was not until Toto brought back Williams and Kimball to collaborate on 1998's Toto XX that Lukather returned predominantly to the role of backup vocalist. Lukather's songwriting contributions grew from a smattering of tracks on early Toto albums to co- writing almost every track starting in the late 1980s.

After launching the webcasting company Concert Window with fellow Harvard graduate Dan Gurney in 2010, O'Connor joined several Boston-based bands and, for the next three years, was an in-demand sideman, session musician, and backup vocalist. In summer 2013, he recorded a five-song EP, Wisewater, which was released through CDBaby and iTunes. Upon hearing the EP, Nashville-based string arranger and producer Kris Wilkinson introduced O'Connor to singer Kate Lee, then a senior at Belmont University, believing the two would work well together. O'Connor and Lee hit it off, and in January 2014, O'Connor returned to his hometown of Nashville so the two could begin performing as a duo under the name Wisewater.

Susan Marshall is an American folk rock, pop and soul vocalist, pianist, songwriter and recording artist. She is best known for her work with Mother Station, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lenny Kravitz, The Afghan Whigs, Primal Scream, North Mississippi Allstars, Lucinda Williams, Ana Popović and Katharine McPhee. After completing high school in Memphis Tennessee and attending theatre school, Marshall was engaged by the year-round Off-Broadway repertory company, Light Opera of Manhattan, where she performed leading roles in operettas for nearly six years. In 1990, she returned to Memphis, where she co-founded a band, Mother Station, began writing songs and soon became a backup vocalist for well-known artists, contributing vocals to dozens of albums.

Coro (born in New York City) is an American Latin freestyle singer and actor of Cuban and Dominican heritage, who first had roles in numerous episodes of the star's hit television series, Miami Vice. While appearing on Vice, Coro struggled to put together a group to get his singing career off the ground. His first efforts never took off, but in 1987, Coro met Stevie B, who was enjoying the success of his first hit record and getting ready to tour. After a stint as a backup vocalist and dancer for Stevie B, the New York-born and Miami-raised Coro made the move back to his native Manhattan to initiate a solo singing career.

Flipo said that she "spent most of 2017 holed up in her bedroom writing and recording" having previously performed in various different Melbourne music acts as a session drummer and occasional backup vocalist, including for the Melbourne band Empra. In February 2018 she uploaded her debut single "About You" to Triple J Unearthed and that same day her track was premiered on Triple J. The song was officially released on 2 March 2018. Pitchfork named it "Best New Track" and the music video, filmed on her iPhone, was featured in YouTube's New Music Playlist. Pining international interest in her project, Flipo was subsequently invited to play her first ever solo show at SXSW in Austin, Texas the following month. Flipo's follow up track "Killing My Time" was released in May 2018.

His biggest songwriting success was "Woman, Woman" a number 4 pop hit recorded by Gary Puckett & The Union Gap in 1967, and charting again for Glaser himself in 1975.

She was credited under just her initials J.J. After the tour, she moved to Minneapolis and became Prince's on-and-off again girlfriend. Montgomery and two neighborhood friends, Frances Hodges and Sandra Harding, started a doo-wop singing group called the Rhythmettes, and they started appearing in talent shows. A local singer named Art Lassiter hired them as backup singers and they became the Artettes. Lassiter sang with bandleader Ike Turner and his Kings of Rhythm. Turner wrote a song, "A Fool in Love," for Lassiter. When Art Lassiter didn't show up for a recording session at Technisonic Studios in March 1960, Turner took the Artettes and had them accompany his backup vocalist Little Ann (Tina Turner) on the track. "A Fool In Love," was released in July 1960 on Sue Records and became a hit, peaking at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot R&B; Sides.

While an undergraduate, he was a lead guitarist and backup vocalist for the college-formed group Sageworth and Drums, also known as Sageworth. The group evolved from a group of Georgetown University undergraduate students playing weekend mixers and parties to a tight, professional headlining act with a reputation as one of the best and most original bands in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Other members included Peter Barry Chowka, lead vocal and guitar; John Zambetti, guitar and backing vocals; Tom Guidera, bass and backing vocals; and Matthew Sheppard, drums, with Annie McLoone added later as a lead singer. In 1976, Benson toured with soul singer Minnie Riperton, who had been diagnosed with terminal breast cancer earlier that year and, in addition, appeared as a guitarist and backup vocalist on Stevie Wonder's song "Another Star" from Wonder's album Songs in the Key of Life. During the same year, 1976, the top selling album 'Breezin' was released on the Warner Brothers label featuring the Bobby Womack penned title track and the Leon Russell penned This Masquerade which is now a jazz standard. Both tracks won Grammy awards that year and the LP put Benson into the musical limelight both in the USA and in Europe. Ironically, Benson had been discouraged up until this time, from using his singing skills, mainly as the company decision makers felt he wasn't competent enough vocally, and he should stick to playing the guitar.

In the 1970s several members of Enya's family formed Clannad, a Celtic band with Nicky Ryan as their manager, sound engineer and producer and his future wife Roma Ryan assisting with the tour management and administrative duties. In 1980, after her year at college, Enya decided not to study music at university and instead accepted Ryan's invitation to join the group with the aim of expanding their sound by incorporating keyboards and another backup vocalist. She toured across Europe and played an uncredited role on their sixth album, Crann Úll (1980), with a line-up of siblings Máire, Pól and Ciarán Brennan and twin uncles, Noel and Pádraig Duggan. Enya became an official and credited member by the time of their next album Fuaim (1981), which features a front cover photograph of her with the band.

Noodle was designed as the guitarist, occasional keyboardist, and backup vocalist for Gorillaz. Noodle can play a wide array of other instruments as a result of her training from childhood, but generally sticks to her usual role as guitarist, sometimes depicted playing keyboard and performing additional or backup vocals on Gorillaz songs. Noodle sings additional vocals on the Gorillaz single 19-2000, and sings backing vocals on several other songs on the album. The making of Demon Days is portrayed in-universe as being led by Noodle, although Murdoc would sometimes be shown to try to claim the credit for it. Feel Good Inc’s original demo version is dubbed ‘Noodle’s Demo’ in the iTunes exclusive single release of the song. She is also depicted as the lead vocalist and additional keyboardist in the music video for the 2006 Demon Days single ‘’Dare’’.

The band's members consisted of father, Jason Trachtenburg, who played guitar and piano and sang; mother, Tina Piña, who ran the slide projector and was a backup vocalist; and daughter, Rachel, who played the drums and sang backup. Born on December 10, 1993, Rachel was only six years old when she began performing publicly. Their trademark was the slideshow itself: slides collected from "estate sales, garage sales, thrift stores, etc." were constantly shown in order to "turn the lives of annonymous strangers into pop-rock musical expos[é]s based on the contents of these slide collections". The band sings about things that occurred in the places shown in the slides, such as public execution (Mountain Trip to Japan, 1959) and McDonald's' competitors (Wendy's, Sambo's and Long John Silver's) "using network television to take advantage of efficiency".

In December 2005, Rolling Stone magazine announced that The Who would be touring in the summer of 2006, visiting Australia, Canada, Japan, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. In advance of their new Endless Wire album release, the band embarked on a 24-date European tour followed by their first world tour, their first shows since their short 2004 tours and brief performance at Live 8 in 2005. Members of the group's 2002 and 2004 line-up remained, namely Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend but also including keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick (due to the illness of his wife, replaced on 25 shows over two legs of the tour by his keyboard tech, Brian Kehew), bassist Pino Palladino, drummer Zak Starkey and guitarist/backup vocalist Simon Townshend. Opening acts featured on the worldwide tour included The Casbah Club, Peeping Tom, moe.

They developed the core chemistry of what would someday be known as Sirens & Sailors. Around three months later, Kyle Bihrle (formally a guitarist and backup vocalist for the band Renouf) eventually got bored too and began to sit in on the writing sessions and just started writing lyrics in a notebook one day. Jon Turner (formally the bassist for the band Renouf) was asked if he'd be interested in coming on board about 6 months later -- when the group of musicians finally decided to give up on their former music endeavors and turn this side project into a serious band looking to book shows to observe how their music would be perceived by the local scene. For the first year or so the band was known by the name "The Sirens & The Sailors" (TS&TS;) until the band [temporarily] signed to record label Sumerian Records.

In 1992, the organisers of the Fame music award spotted her as an all-around artist from her work in theatre, video, choreography, background vocals for various Nigerian artist and nominated and gave her their first Upcoming artist award. The management of a club in Lagos, Bread and Butter Jazz club involved her in the last presentation as a club in an effort to introduce a new renaissance artist called Lagbaja and she was heavily involved in the production of this artiste’s first album called Side by Side which was released in 1993. She subsequently concentrated more on music because this demanded more of her time. It was during this period she also collaborated with Nigerian recording artists such as Mike Okri (RnB), Shina Peters (Afro juju), Blackky (Reggae) and many others not only as a backup vocalist but also a choreographer for their music videos.

On July 8, 2014, during Boston's Heaven on Earth Tour to support Life, Love & Hope, Magnus performed "Walk On" with in Buffalo, New York, on July 22 at the Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on August 5 at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah and on September 3 at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa, Idaho as a lead and backup vocalist. In 2014, Magnus recorded the song "Wisdom" as the theme song for the movie The Wisdom to Know the Difference, "Wisdom" was included on her 2015 EP release Holiday Inspiration, which also included recordings of "What Child Is This?", "O Holy Night", "Old Cape Cod", and "Did You Ever Wonder Why" The EP was made available only through her website as a CD. In November 2016, she released a single, "Breakfast in Bed", under her label Millbilly Music. She has also contributed vocals to video game soundtracks, including The End Is Nigh and Blade Strangers.

Members of the audience were asked to sing along with her, filling in the part of the choir. Madonna was dressed in a black Stella McCartney suit while backup vocalist Siedah Garrett sang the vocals during the intermediate verses; the backdrops displayed a series of Hebrew letters, indicating the 72 names of God. Jim Farber from New York magazine complimented Madonna's vocals during the song. The performance was included on the 2006 live album of the tour, titled I'm Going to Tell You a Secret. Madonna sang a similar version of the song during the Live 8 benefit concert at Hyde Park, London in July 2005. She performed it alongside Birhan Woldu, an Ethiopian woman who, as a malnourished toddler, had appeared in some of the footage of the 1984–85 famine in Ethiopia. A dance version of the song, mixed with fragments of the dance track "Feels Like Home" by Meck, was performed in the 2008–09 Sticky & Sweet Tour as part of the rave segment.

Zoe Ellis also left the group at this time to focus on her a cappella ensemble, SoVoSó. Backup vocalist Jeff Pehrson subsequently joined Furthur, debuting May 24, 2010. In February 2010, official announcements were released that the group would be performing at three music festivals in the summer of 2010, including the Nateva Music & Camping Festival in Oxford, Maine, on July 4, the All Good Music Festival in Masontown, West Virginia, on July 9, and the Gathering of the Vibes festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on July 30. Additional stops on the tour, which ran from June 25 until July 30 and included 17 shows, included Rochester, New York, Brooklyn, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, Lowell, Massachusetts, Columbus, Ohio, Mohawk, New York, Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania (which replaced a canceled show in Shelburne, Vermont), Ottawa, Lewiston, New York, Philadelphia, and New York. In addition to the three festivals on the East Coast, Furthur resurrected the "Furthur Festival" at Mountain Aire in Angels Camp, California on Memorial Day weekend May 28-30th, 2010, at which they played six of their classic albums live.

Bullens also served as a backup vocalist on Rod Stewart's Atlantic Crossing and with Elton John on three major tours, as well as his album Blue Moves and his hit with Kiki Dee, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (both released in 1976). Bullens provided vocals on three songs ("It's Raining on Prom Night," "Mooning," and "Freddy, My Love") on the soundtrack of the 1978 feature film, Grease. The album release Grease was nominated for the 1979 Grammy Award for "Album of the Year". In 1980, Bullens earned another Grammy nomination (as "best female rock singer") for his single "Survivor". In January 1980, Bullens hit the Billboard Hot 100 with the song "Trust Me." It peaked at No. 90. He withdrew from the music business in the early 1980s to raise a family, returning in the early and mid-1990s as a songwriter and then later as a touring and recording artist.

For "Wish You Were Here", Waters sung half of the verse's lyrics, unlike the original recording. When Waters was not singing, he was often enthusiastically mouthing the lyrics off-microphone. During the guitar introduction of "Wish You Were Here", Waters said: : They were augmented by guitarist/bassist Tim Renwick (guitarist on Roger Waters' 1984 solo tour, who has since become Pink Floyd's backing guitarist on stage); keyboardist/lap steel guitarist/backup vocalist Jon Carin (Pink Floyd's backing keyboardist from 1987 onward who performed on the 1999–2000 North American leg of Waters' "In the Flesh" tour, his 2006–2008 "Dark Side of the Moon Live" tour, his 2010–2011 "The Wall" tour and David Gilmour's 2006 On an Island tour); saxophonist Dick Parry during "Money" (who played on the original recordings of "Money", "Us and Them", and "Shine on You Crazy Diamond"); and backing singer Carol Kenyon during "Comfortably Numb". During "Breathe", on the screen behind them, film of the iconic pig from the Animals album was shown flying over Battersea Power Station (itself visible on the horizon in television broadcasts of the performance), and during "Money", a shot of The Dark Side of the Moon record being played was shown.
