In the mid '90s, Bradley's mother called him and asked him to move back in with her in Brooklyn so she could get to know him. It was there he began making a living moonlighting as a James Brown impersonator in local clubs under the name "Black Velvet". During this time, Bradley experienced more difficulties, including almost dying in a hospital after having an allergic reaction to penicillin, and, in a separate episode, awaking at his mother's house to a commotion as police and ambulances were arriving to the scene of his brother's murder, just down the road from there. While performing as "Black Velvet", he was eventually discovered by Gabriel Roth (better known as "Bosco Mann"), a co-founder of Daptone Records.

Olympic marmots lose 50% of their body mass over the seven to eight months of winter hibernation. Hibernation is the most dangerous time for them as, in years of light snowfall, as many as 50% of the young born that year will die from the cold because of the lack of insulation that is provided by good snow cover. When they emerge in early May, thick snow cover is still present from the preceding winter, so they are not very active at this time. Sometimes they are so disoriented after awaking from hibernation that they have to relearn the colony's landmarks (which are now covered in snow, which obscures them even more); they wander around aimlessly until they find their burrows.
A critical component of such magical material was thought to be the remains of fetuses; during the casting of the spell the fetus hearts were eaten. Joy Wiltenburg mentions also another use of fetal black magic: To concoct the flesh and fats of infants into magic candles that, when lit, would allow them to rob houses without awaking the inhabitants.See also Hand of Glory for the complex of ideas related to this practice Peter Niers was credited with other supernatural powers as well, in particular the ability of physical transformation; various stories attributed him with the ability to change his shape into that of a log or a stone,Garon (1669), p.553 but according to a late ballad, he could also become a goat, dog, or cat at will.
Macduff first speaks in the play in act 2, scene 3 to the drunken porter to report to his duty of awaking King Duncan when he is sleeping for the night at Macbeth's castle. When he discovers the corpse of King Duncan (murdered by Macbeth, but it appears that nearby guards are guilty since Macbeth—at the prodding of Lady Macbeth—put his knife by them and smeared them with Duncan's blood), he raises an alarm, informing the castle that the king has been murdered. Macduff begins to suspect Macbeth of regicide when Macbeth says, "O, yet I do repent me of my fury / That I did kill them" (2.3.124–125). Macduff's name does not appear in this scene; rather, Banquo refers to him as "Dear Duff" (2.3.105).

Knowledge of the biographical aspects of Maria Cambrils is recent. Her only known photograph was published for the first time in 2004 by Elvira Cambrils. According to the journalist Rosa Solbes, in some environments it was even thought that María Cambrils was the pseudonym of a man until testimonies of survivors were obtained that offered specific information on the author, such as those of veteran CNT journalist Leonardo Herández and Juan Bautista Pons, assault guard during the Second Republic. In April 2015, the University of Valencia published a monograph entitled María Cambrils, el despertar del feminismo socialista (María Cambrils: The Awaking of Socialist Feminism), which includes her biography, her book Feminismo Socialista, and more than 100 articles published between 1924 and 1933 in El Socialista, El Obrero Balear, El Pueblo, and Revista Popular.
The national German spirit, striving after independence and power through union, and the national industry, awaking from its lethargy and eager to recover lost ground, were favorable to the success of List's book, and it produced a great sensation. He ably represented the tendencies and demands of his time in his own country; his work had the effect of fixing the attention, not merely of the speculative and official classes, but of practical men generally, on questions of political economy; and his ideas were undoubtedly the economic foundation of modern Germany as applied by the practical genius of Bismarck. List considered that Napoleon's 'Continental System', aimed just at damaging Britain during a bitter long-term war, had in fact been quite good for German industry. This was the direct opposite of what was believed by the followers of Adam Smith.
In the game, the player assumes the role of an artificial intelligence representation of a man named Alex Kendall, who was assassinated for having associations with the Defense Department. Before his annihilation, Kendall's work in the Defense Department had grown unsatisfying for him, and so he instead devoted his time and efforts to the expansion of the ever growing cyberspace. In his latest project, he had created a way of designing a person's ego into the net, with such a cybernetic ego incorporating personality and intelligence in addition to tactile senses, using his own as a prototype. His attempt at doing so was a success, though Kendall never got a chance to reveal his findings to the world, as he was killed shortly after, awaking to see his family die at the hands of his murderers.
Back on the Predators' spacecraft, Ripley experiences a dream where she is swimming in Aliens and encounters a ghostly image of a traditional Terminator endoskeleton before awaking. Regaining consciousness, Ripley notices a scar on the left rear side of her neck and is led from the operating table, past an assembled room of Predators in a Cleft of Venus formation, to a viewing screen of Los Alamos 235, sensing that there are Aliens within and that the Predators extracted this information from her DNA, from the Alien 'genetic memory'. Nearby, the Euphrates is granted access to the Black Asteroid and opens fire on the station's control room. In the Predators' craft, Ripley has returned to the room of assembled Predators and undergoes a pre-battle ritual where she is given an Alien tooth necklace and is covered in Predator blood warpaint.
Viśvanātha Kavirāja in his Sahitya- Darpana or Mirror of Composition, explains that Vibodha i.e. awaking is the return of consciousness or reviewing of one’s own limbs by the Vedantin who believes that his limbs cease to exist when he ceases to think of them, in other words, return to reality through realization of truth. He also clarifies that the word, Vibodha, refers to the seeking after end, in other words, to the consummation of the ultimate object. A sādhaka, the seeker after truth, takes into cognisance the three obstacles that come in his way and prays and works for their removal; he practices Sravanam which is listening to the teachings of the Vedanta through a guru, listening involves faith in the teacher and the Scriptures, and understanding and retaining the essence of the teachings; he also practices contemplation (nididhyasana) for a thorough understanding of the Atman and the Anatman.
A heavily fictionalised Abu Nuwas is the protagonist of the novels The Father of Locks (Dedalus Books, 2009) and The Khalifah's Mirror (2012) by Andrew Killeen, in which he is depicted as a spy working for Ja'far al- Barmaki. In the Sudanese novel Season of Migration to the North (1966) by Tayeb Salih, Abu Nuwas's love poetry is cited extensively by one of the novel's protagonists, the Sudanese Mustafa Sa'eed, as a means of seducing a young English woman in London: "Does it not please you that the earth is awaking,/ That old virgin wine is there for the taking?" The Tanzanian artist Godfrey Mwampembwa (Gado) created a Swahili comic book called Abunuwasi which was published in 1996. It features a trickster figure named Abunuwasi as the protagonist in three stories draw inspiration from East African folklore as well as the fictional Abu Nuwasi of One Thousand and One Nights.
Singh's works are often described as metaphysical, bold explications on memory, mythology and symbolic iconography. His discrete and fluid connotations of color on multiple media show figures that "oscillate between feelings of fear and hope" Indian art critic Nancy Adajania describes Singh's work, saying, "Ebenezer uses his own body as a measure of his expression, allowing it to soar only to be grounded by its reflection: embracing a cosmic totality only to be cut by the swirling swathe of death...it liberates him from the distractions of excessive visual stimuli, to concentrate on the live material of the body that burns a thirsty flaming yellow, turns green with lust and envy and blue with spiritual awaking." "Consistently drawing on themes such as redemption, betrayal, guilt, wanderlust and male valor, Singh channels his spontaneity on canvas and sculpture." He exposes preconceived notions on the seemingly 'superhuman' ideal of male virility and societal masculinity.
He was born in Encinas de Esgueva in the Province of Valladolid, Spain. He graduated in the field of Biology at the Universidad de Salamanca and worked at the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid, under Santiago Castroviejo, finishing his graduate thesis "Florula of the north west of the Province of Valladolid" in 1985, and his doctoral thesis "Monograph of the neotropical genus Aragoa – Scrophulariaceae family" in 1993. He came into contact with neotropical flora in the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid through the historical herbaria of Mutis, Ruiz and Pavón e Isern (from Colombia, Peru, Chile and Ecuador), awaking his interest in the flora of this region and of the family Scrophulariaceae in particular. He moved to Colombia en 1986 to work as an intern and in 1987-1990 as a Cooperating Botanist at the AECI, in the "Flora Project of the Royal Botanical Expedition of the New Kingdom of Granada", at the Institute of Natural Sciences at the National University of Colombia.
Frantz Fanon became an important figure for the Algerian liberation. As a psychiatric from Martinique, he came into contact with the National Liberation Army (ALN) as he provided them with psychiatric aid. Later he quit his job in an Algerian hospital, joined the movement and became writer at the FLN newspaper El Moudjahid. When he headed the Algerian delegation of the AAPC in 1958, he not only persuaded the participants of the need of an armed revolution in Algeria but also built good relationships with Patrice Lumumba (Congo), Holden Roberto (Angola) and Félix-Roland Moumié (Cameron), which had later an impact on Algeria’s role in their liberation movements. The two conferences in Accra in 1958 and Fanon’s convincing words showed that a Third World Project began to become more concrete. Finally, the publication of Fanon’s book The Wretched of the Earth in 1961 became a manual of revolution around the whole globe and marked a new stage in the awaking of the Third World.

Twelve years later, Dodo again recorded a song for the finals ("Vi vil ha' sejren i land" or "We want the victory hauled in"), which was not as great of a success but has nevertheless become a classic in Denmark.
None of the works attributed to him are still extant, but quotations and references have survived in the works of others, especially in those of two early Christian writers – Justin Martyr (ca. 100 CE) in Samaria and the mid-3rd century Lactantius in North Africa – who drew on them by way of confirmation that what themselves held to be revealed truth had already been uttered.. Only one of these pseudepigraphic works – referred to as the Book of Hystaspes or the Oracles of Hystaspes or just Hystaspes – is known by name. This work (or set of works) of the first century BCE is referred to by Lactantius, Justin Martyr, Clement of Alexandria, Lydus, and Aristokritos, all of whom describe it as foretelling the downfall of the Roman empire, the return of rule to the east, and of the coming of the saviour.. Lactantius provides a detailed summary of the Oracles of Hystaspes in his Divinae Institutiones (Book VII, from the end of chapter 15 through chapter 19). It begins with Hystaspes awaking from a dream, and needing to have it interpreted for him.
Each of the 07-Ghosts has died in his previous life, and they all retain their memories of their past lives. The Macedonian National Movement (abbreviated MANAPO) (,The modern Macedonian word for "movement" is движење, but before the language was codified some Macedonians used the Serbian word покрет, due to the subjection under Serbian educational system transliterated: Makedonski Nacionalen Pokret) was a leftist movement started in 1936 among the progressive Macedonian students in the Belgrade and Zagreb universities in the period between the World Wars. MANAPO's aims were to help bring about democracy in Yugoslavia and to fight for the right to self-determination of the Bulgarians in Vardar Macedonia. The official historiography in post-1945 Yugoslavia and present-day North Macedonia plays down the Bulgarian nature of this organization and claims that MANAPO's platform was based on the awaking of the Macedonian national conscience among the Macedonian Slavic-speaking population, the affirmation of the Macedonian language as well as fight against the Serbian hegemony and fascism.Балканските војни и I светска војна - Општина Велес When MANAPO was dissolved in the beginning of the Second World War, with some of its members entering the ranks of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, while others felt the aims of the organization had been established with the "liberation" of Vardar Macedonia by Bulgaria in 1941.
