Goren is estranged from his older brother, Frank (Tony Goldwyn), a drug addict who also has a gambling problem and is depicted as being sometimes homeless. Frank has a son, Donny, who asks for help when he is incarcerated.

Moke asks for help, but Stick mocks as Moke falls to his death, shooting his gun at Stick on the way down.

The episode was written by series creator Eric Kripke, who described its creation as a "very difficult, birthing process" due to the numerous rewrites required. The original version did not feature the Woman in White, and John Winchester died in the teaser. In the revised script, Sam and Dean Winchester were raised by their aunt and uncle instead of their father. Because of this, Sam is unaware that supernatural beings exist, and Dean must convince him of the truth when he asks for help.

Henrietta keeps to herself at first but towards the end of the ride comes in contact with Miss Woodby. In tradition of romance heroines, Ms. Woodby gives Henrietta and herself nicknames, Celia and Celinda, and declared a “violent friendship” (Lennox, 9). Arriving at Ms. Woodby's stop, Henrietta asks for help to find an appropriate lodging, so that her friend gives Henrietta a letter of recommendation for Mrs.

By Sunday morning, the jail is packed with drunks, so Rhiannon releases them and makes each one promise to attend church or face a $10 fine. When the Great Western Mine catches on fire and several miners are trapped inside, Rhiannon risks his own life to save them, including Mike.
When she learns that the feared Akito is the "god" of the zodiac and of the bet he made with Kyo, which could result in the cat being confined for life, she resolves to break the curse. Tohru asks for help from Kazuma, Rin, and Kureno. Despite setbacks and being warned off by Rin—who also seeks to break the curse, in order to free Hatsuharu—Tohru refuses to give up her goal. Because citizens of Perplex City are unable to travel to Earth, the Master of Perplex City Academy, Sente Kiteway, asks for help in finding the Cube from the citizens of Earth, offering to share any leads or clues that he or the CRT may get. Clues to the location of the Cube are periodically left by the person who stole it, known only as Combed Thunderclap.

A flashback to 1968 shows the house being used as a dormitory for nursing students. While alone in the house late at night, nursing students Maria and Gladys are studying when a man rings the doorbell and asks for help. Noticing the man is bleeding from the head, Maria lets him in and begins to heal his wounds. When she realizes there is no actual cut on his head and that the man is faking his injury, the man attacks them both and overpowers them, forcing them to wear nurse outfits before drowning Gladys in an upstairs bathtub and stabbing a hog-tied Maria to death.
Will explains the situation to Harland, vowing that he burnt the $10 million just before he was arrested, and asks for help. Harland rejects this, showing that Vincent was reported dead a year prior, a burnt body identified by DNA. Will is forced to steal FBI credentials to find the current address of Hoyt, who is revealed to be working with Vincent and helping to track the phone. They have a brief standoff (in which Hoyt reveals Vincent lost his leg, which effected his sense of touch due to the gunshot he received) before the FBI agents arrive and kill Hoyt before he can fire on them.
In the year 1965, with the post-WWII era now in the past, police crack down on the criminal organizations which had thrived during that turbulent era and numerous gangs are disbanded. Amid these conditions, 30-year-old Kensaku Gunji becomes the 4th head of the Hamayasu family operating in a small corner of the Port of Yokohama as a replacement for the acting head Tetsuji Kuroki, who is in prison. The Hamayasu member Onuma is arrested under the Port Labor Act and shipping work comes to a standstill. Onuma's wife asks for help but it is Onuma's third arrest and it will be difficult.
While Gabe and his men are distracted, Ivy seduces one of the men with her powers, compelling him to kill everyone but Gabe and free them. He then confronts Gabe with Ivy's powers, and he reveals that he never was loyal to him and he and his men only followed him out of fear and that everyone still sees him as the "umbrella boy". Angered, Cobblepot kills Gabe with a gardening tool. Cobblepot then asks for help in rebuilding his army and Ivy recalls that Selina told them about the monsters at Indian Hill and she proposes that he carries an "army of freaks".

Nancy has a sudden idea and takes apart Eric's wheelchair, where she finds an envelope containing information on where to bring the children across the border. Then, she meets Emile Popov, who asks for help in the rescue mission as two of the couples who planned to help the operation have been arrested and the refugee organization does not have anyone it can spare. Eric reveals that he can actually walk, and Nancy then devises a daring plan. She send her friends on a decoy mission the throw Gutterman off the trail, and she and Eric successfully rescue the children with the help of Emile Popov and his wife.
David warned Paul to stay away from him and later lashed out and pinned him to a wall as Paul gently tried to wake him up. While the trip starts well, Amy (Melissa Fumero) decides to show the kids photos of many corpses and crime scenes, ending up traumatizing them and causing the instructor to leave in disgust. However, Amy manages to prove to the instructor that the kids managed to learn more about the forensics' science, impressing her.

He is married to Leila, with whom he has two children, Bruno and Bianca, but keeps a secret affair with his parliamentary advisor Viviane, as ambitious as he. Leila discovers her husband's unfaithfulness and, willing to catch him with his mistress, asks for help from Reginaldo's cousin Venancio to follow them to a motel.

Gus meets with Mike and explains that he does not want Hector dead until the time is right. He encourages Mike to continue to disrupt Hector's drug trafficking and attempts to pay him, but Mike does not accept the money. He asks for help to launder the $250,000 he stole, and Gus obliges by arranging for Madrigal Electromotive, the parent company of Los Pollos and a participant in its drug activities, to hire Mike as a contracted security consultant and pay him monthly consulting fees.

After she writes an advert for a "lift wanted around the world" using her trail, a kind humpback whale arrives one moonlit night and offers to take her travelling around the world. The aquatic duo see many sights along their way until one sunny summer morning, the whale, confused by the sound of a group of racing speedboats, swims into a bay and is left beached by the retreating tide. In an effort to help her friend, the snail crawls to a nearby school in the bay, and asks for help by writing "Save The Whale!" in her trail on the blackboard.
