Gina gets on the ground to reach down for it when she hears a train coming just around the bend. She finally stretches far enough and narrowly escapes being hit by the train, but successfully grabs the picture. Gina visits her father at home where he tells her the doctor called him and voiced his concerns regarding Gina's opinion that Stefan has changed.
West Townshend is located in central western Townshend. It is located at the northern edge of a bend in the West River, which flows northward from the west, around the bend and then southward to the Townshend Dam, located several miles downriver. The river valley has relatively steep hillsides, with a floodplain that widens at the bend that was deemed suitable for agriculture. Most of the village is strung out along Vermont Route 30, which is aligned to be above the highest waters of Townshend Lake, which was created by the dam.
This configuration forces the back of one step to be at a 90-degree angle relative to the step behind it. This right angle forces the steps into a shape resembling a staircase. At the top and bottom of the escalator, the two tracks converge so that the front and back wheels of the steps are almost in a straight line. This causes the stairs to lay in a flat sheetlike arrangement, one after another, so they can easily travel around the bend in the curved section of track.
Mean Creek’s first studio record utilized just Keene & Ounjian. "Keene and Ounjian released the band’s debut, Around the Bend in the fall of 2007, and drummer Mikey Holland and bassist Erik Wormwood (former members of the Boston grunge outfit Tulsa) joined up in time for their sophomore effort, 2009’s The Sky (Or the Underground)." The complete group toured with the bands Dead Confederate and Catfish Haven in 2008. During 2009, Mean Creek appeared at the SXSW Music festival and toured with Cotton Jones, The Everyday Visuals, The Whigs, and The Features.
The Sprint Race took place on Sunday, October 23, 2005. All cars got away cleanly for the parade lap and formed up well for the rolling start, but running very slowly behind the safety car. At the start, Piquet was followed closely by Premat of Team France and Verstappen of Team Netherlands. Piquet chose to brake fairly early into turn 1 and was watching Neel Jani of Team Switzerland on his outside, while allowing the French car to beat him to the apex with the cars running 3-abreast around the bend.
The band also performed at Ruisrock festival in Turku, Finland, where Slash was also performing. Monroe joined Slash on stage for a performance of "We're All Gonna Die" (from Slash's solo album) and "Up Around the Bend." At the Ankkarock festival in Finland, Steve Conte couldn't perform and he was replaced for this one show with the ex-Hanoi Rocks guitarist, Nasty Suicide. Since the early 1990s and the Demolition 23 tour this was the first time of these three members of the original Hanoi Rocks to perform on the stage together.
The Green work tractor towing Monorail Green on the maintenance access beam. The diesel-powered "work tractors" are the tow trucks of the system, and can tow a train to Monorail Shop, located around the bend from Space Mountain. Monorail Operations at the Walt Disney World resort has four separate tractors (Green, tagged '3', Red, tagged ‘4’, Black, tagged ‘5’, and a sixth one that has yet to receive a color) that allow for the simultaneous towing of three different monorails. Tractors 1 and 2 were retired in 2019.
Ain't Gonna Cry is the ninth solo studio album by country pop singer Juice Newton. It was released by RCA Records in 1989 and was Newton's final album for the label as well as her last album for several years. (credits) Though no singles were released to stores, the promotional single, "When Love Comes Around The Bend", peaked at number 40 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart on June 17, 1989. The album also contains Newton's cover version of "Then He Kissed Me", a top ten hit for The Crystals in 1963.
Triage is the second solo album by David Baerwald, formerly of the two-man group David & David with David Ricketts. Triage was released in October 1992 on the A&M; Records label, and was produced by Baerwald along with Bill Bottrell and Dan Schwartz. To date it is Baerwald’s last full-length solo album. He would subsequently make significant contributions to Tuesday Night Music Club, the debut album by Sheryl Crow, and would later record with The New Folk Underground and also compose soundtrack material for feature films, including Hurlyburly and Around the Bend.
To the north of Upwey Junction existed a halt called Upwey Wishing Well Halt, while around the bend on the Abbotsbury branch was a station which had originally been called Broadwey. However its name was changed to Upwey as it kept being confused with Broadway, Worcestershire, also on the Great Western Railway. Thomas Hardy wrote a poem At the Railway Station, Upway, about waiting for a train at a country station. In the days of steam, a favourite excursion was from Weymouth to Upwey, and then on to tea at the Upwey Wishing Well by charabanc.
Following the success of the commercial, "Around the Bend" went on to become the band's biggest single to date, helping to launch the band onto the international stage. In November 2008, lead singer Mette Lindberg was a guest on the BBC music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In 2009, the band were guests on the Danish morning TV show Good Morning Denmark. They have also guested on top French music show Taratata where they first performed the track "Inner City Blues", a cover of the Marvin Gaye classic, which later became a favourite of their live shows.
"Around the Bend" was also featured in the NBC TV series Chuck in episode 209 when Chuck walks into the "Roark Expo" for his first day at work at Roark Instruments. The song "Lady Jesus" was used throughout the entirety of a bar/restaurant scene in the USA Network show Suits. The song "Rock the Ride" was used during a bar scene in The CW series The Flash at the beginning of the episode "Plastique". "The Sun Ain't Shining No More" has been chosen as the theme song of the Canadian action comedy television series InSecurity that premiered on 4 January 2011.
Further up the bay was the town of Yaquina City. About one mile south of Yaquina City was Oneatta Point, where the bay turned almost due east and became the Yaquina River. Yaquina City was a boom town in the 1880s, when for example in 1887 144 ships cleared the harbor.Lincoln County Historical Society, Lincoln County Historical Map, items 17 and 26, 1976 (with summaries of townships in county), reprinted in Price, Richard L., Newport, Oregon 1866–1936 (1975) Just around the bend of Oneatta Point were the towns of Winant on the north bank and Oysterville on the south.
In an Astaire-Rogers picture, the Big White Set — as these Art Deco-inspired creations were known — took up the largest share of the film's production costs, and Top Hat was no exception. A winding canal — spanned by two staircase bridges at one end and a flat bridge on the other — was built across two adjoining sound stages. Astaire and Rogers dance across this flat bridge in "Cheek to Cheek". Around the bend from this bridge was located the main piazza, a giant stage coated in red bakelite and this was the location for "The Piccolino".
The insurgents now held their fire to prevent giving their position away. Incorrectly believing from the inactivity that the cadres had fled, and thinking that the two fallen soldiers were still alive, Major Hank Meyer ordered the leader of 7 Troop, Lieutenant Joe du Plooy, to sweep around the river and send Coey out to treat the men. Lieutenant du Plooy led his men around the bend, carefully keeping them behind cover, then sent Coey out into the open riverbed to give treatment. With his Red Cross flag clearly visible, Coey came out from cover and made for the bodies on the ground.
Burpengary creek is a good fishing spot and it has nearby boat ramps that allow for easy access to the Creek. There are boat ramps at O’Leary Avenue in Burpengary and at Uhlmann Road boat ramp into Caboolture River with only a short trip around the bend into Burpengary Creek. It is also noted for having large quantities of mud crabs in the lower reaches of the Creek. Grassy areas within the parks along the Creek line allow for family picnics, flying kites, and general outdoor activities such as Boules or a family game of cricket.
"Up Around the Bend" is a song recorded by the American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, and written by the band's lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter John Fogerty. The song was composed and recorded only a few days prior to the band's April 1970 European tour and was included on the album Cosmo's Factory. Released as a single, with "Run Through the Jungle" on the flipside, the double-sided single climbed to number four on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the spring of 1970. It was certified gold by the RIAA for sales of over one million copies.
It was also a major hit in the UK, where it reached number three on the UK Singles Chart. The song opens with a prominent, high-pitched guitar riff played by John Fogerty. The song's lyrics have Fogerty telling of a gathering "up around the bend" on the highway and inviting the listener to join in. The song has been covered by artists such as Elton John, who recorded a version of the song early in his career, and Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks, who covered it on their 1984 album, Two Steps from the Move.
Her latest album, There Is No Other (2019), is a collaboration with Italian multi-instrumentalist Francesco Turrisi. She appears in the Smithsonian Folkways collection documenting Mike Seeger's final trip through Appalachia in 2009, Just Around The Bend: Survival and Revival in Southern Banjo Styles – Mike Seeger’s Last Documentary (2019). In 2014, she participated in the T Bone Burnett-produced project titled The New Basement Tapes along with several other musicians, which set a series of recently discovered Bob Dylan lyrics to newly composed music. The resulting album, Lost on the River: The New Basement Tapes, was a top-40 Billboard album.
In Teylers's day, most visitors to the city of Haarlem from Amsterdam would travel by trekschuit along the 'Stadsbuiten' canal (now the Papentorenvest street) joining the Spaarne just north of this hofje. The first building they would see across the Spaarne was the immense classical building of the Catholic Diocese (now the Police station). Next they would pass the location of this hofje, and further around the bend, the Damstraat, where Teyler's house is located. His museum, which is located in the back garden of his house, competed with the Dutch Society of Science for scientific research.
Route marker indicating the upcoming end of LA 141 From the south, LA 141 begins at an intersection with LA 75 in an area within St. Gabriel known as Carville. From this intersection, LA 75 turns north from Point Clair Road onto Martin Luther King Parkway while LA 141 continues straight ahead in a southwest direction along the Mississippi River levee. After passing in front of the Gillis W. Long Center, state maintenance ends, and a private gravel road continues around the bend in the river known as Point Clair. later, state maintenance picks up again at the end of the gravel road.
Speedway racing takes place on a flat oval track measuring between 260 and 425 metres long, usually consisting of dirt or loosely packed shale. Competitors use this loose surface to slide their machines sideways into the bends using the rear wheel to scrub-off speed while still providing the drive to power the bike forward and around the bend. FIM regulations state that the motorcycles used must have no brakes, run on pure methanol, use only one gear and weigh a minimum of 78 kg. Races consist of between four and six riders competing over four to six laps.
He had a brief solo career on Motown Records during the late 1970s and early 1980s making two albums; the first was titled The 1st Cuba Gooding Album. His biggest international success was Brian Auger's Happiness Is Just Around the Bend in 1983, which has in recent times been sampled by several R&B; artists, as well as hitting the charts again as a remix by UK Hardcore Rave group Altern-8 in 1991. In 1980, Gooding returned to The Main Ingredient and made two more albums for RCA Victor. In 1991, samples from the song also featured prominently in Bizarre Inc's single "Playing With Knives".
Cuba Gooding (April 27, 1944 – April 20, 2017) was an American singer. He was the most successful lead singer of the soul group The Main Ingredient, replacing former lead singer Donald McPherson who was diagnosed with leukemia in 1971. According to Billboard, as the lead vocalist he scored five top 10 hits, most notably, "Everybody Plays the Fool" (1972), peaking at No. 2 for three weeks, and peaking at No. 3 on Billboard′s all-genre Hot-100 list. "Just Don't Want to Be Lonely" (1974), "Happiness Is Just Around the Bend" and "Rolling Down a Mountainside" were also top 10 hits on Billboard charts.
A pressure gradient results from the concave bank toward the other bank. Centripetal forces are necessary for the curved path of each parcel of water, which is provided by the pressure gradient. The primary flow around the bend is vortex flow – fastest speed where the radius of curvature of the stream itself is smallest and slowest speed where the radius is largest. In the absence of secondary flow, bend flow seeks to conserve angular momentum so that it tends to conform to that of a free vortex with high velocity at the smaller radius of the inner bank and lower velocity at the outer bank where radial acceleration is lower.
In 1997, Roberts wrote the script for the comedy film The Debtors, directed by Evi Quaid and starring Michael Caine. However, The Debtors remains unreleased due to legal troubles with the director and her husband, Randy Quaid, who co-starred in the film. Roberts is known for writing and directing the road movie Around the Bend (2004), and the comedy film 3,2,1... Frankie Go Boom (2012). In 2005, Roberts wrote the narration for the U.S. version of the French documentary March of the Penguins, which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and for which Roberts was nominated for the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Documentary Screenplay.
The water becomes choppier, and riders hear the sound of chainsaws and the smell of smoke. Around the bend, the lush vegetation gives way to charred tree stumps, and a fully loaded logging truck, which has slid perilously into the river, tries in vain to drive itself out. Moving further into a gargantuan pile of charred tree trunks, the raft passes through a flaming bridge of felled wood and then plummets down a 30-foot slide, soaking everyone in the resulting waves. Careening down the rapids, the raft passes waterfalls cascading down a granite rock face, before spinning and bumping its way along the whitewater.
Comer published papers in 1910 and 1913 in the Bulletin of the American Geographical Society of New York providing improved maps and charts of Southampton Island. In appreciation for his cartography, the government of Canada named the narrow strait around the bend of Roes Welcome Sound that separates northern Southampton Island from White Island "Comer Strait" () in his honor. Comer also published notes in American Anthropologist (1923) about Southampton Island's isolated Sadlermiut who became extinct in 1902. Subsequent to their extinction, Comer attempted to repopulate Southampton Island at the exceedingly flat Cape Kendall on the island's western shore, northwest of the Bay of Gods Mercy, with Aivilik.
Mariachi El Bronx covered the song numerous times on their UK tour along with Prince's I Would Die 4 U. Widespread Panic covered the song on January 29, 2012 during the last night of a three night stand at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA during their historic, all acoustic "Wood Tour." FIDLAR has covered the song from time to time. Pokey LaFarge covered the song during his April 02, 2016 appearance in Boston, MA at Royale Zevon's version was featured prominently in the 2004 film Around the Bend starring Christopher Walken, Michael Caine and Josh Lucas, and in the film Looper starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Jeff Daniels.
In order to build a complete circuit in microstrip, it is often necessary for the path of a strip to turn through a large angle. An abrupt 90° bend in a microstrip will cause a significant portion of the signal on the strip to be reflected back towards its source, with only part of the signal transmitted on around the bend. One means of effecting a low-reflection bend, is to curve the path of the strip in an arc of radius at least 3 times the strip-width. However, a far more common technique, and one which consumes a smaller area of substrate, is to use a mitred bend.
Judging from the silence and inactivity that the guerrillas had fled, and thinking that the two downed men were still alive, Major Hank Meyer told Lieutenant Joe du Plooy to sweep around the river with two 7 Troop sticks and send a medic out to give treatment. Lieutenant du Plooy took his men around the bend behind cover, then sent his American medic, Corporal John Alan Coey of Columbus, Ohio, out into the open streambed to render medical assistance. Though his prominent Red Cross flag was clearly visible, the hidden cadres immediately opened fire on Coey, who was killed almost instantly by a shot through the head. His body fell at du Plooy's feet.
In January 1970, the double A-sided single, "Travelin' Band"/"Who'll Stop the Rain", peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. In April, the band released their next double-sided single, "Run Through the Jungle"/"Up Around the Bend", which reached number four and number two on the Hot 100, respectively, and started their first tour of Europe. Cosmo's Factory was released in July 1970, and their ninth single "Lookin' Out My Back Door"/"Long as I Can See the Light", both of which reached number two on the Hot 100. The album was certified gold (500,000 units sold) by the Recording Industry Association of America on December 16, 1970.
If they succeeded sailing up the middle channel, the India naus usually saw African coast again only around the bend of Angoche. If the ships were in a bad shape, they could stop at the Primeiras Islands (off Angoche) for urgent repairs. The Primeiras are a long row of uninhabited low coral islets – not much more than mounds above the waves – but they form a channel of calm waters between themselves and the mainland, a useful shelter for troubled ships. Mozambique Island, with Fort São Sebastião in background The scheduled stop was a little further north on Mozambique Island, a coral island off the coast, with two outlying smaller islands (São Jorge and Sant' Iago).
In the 19th century, it was the location of a British repeater station used to boost telegraphic messages along the Persian Gulf submarine cable (see below), which was part of the London to Karachi telegraphic cable. It was not an easy posting for the operators, with the severe summer heat and hostility of local tribes making life extremely uncomfortable. Because of this, the island is, according to some travel agents and journalists, where the expression "go round the bend" comes from, a reference to the heat making British officers desperate to return to civilisation, which meant a voyage around the bend in the Strait of Hormuz back to India. Today, Telegraph Island is a reminder of the British Empire.
The presence of the Indonesians so close to the Australian position made the chances of detection too great and as such no more troops were brought forward. Instead, Beale deployed his platoon into two positions, one covering the track with two Brens in order to secure it from the Indonesians in the re-entrant, as well as another position on a bend in the river. Only the sentry on the right-hand flank, Private Lawrence Jackson, could see around the bend, which narrowed to just at that point. At 11:32 am, after occupying the position for only 40 minutes, motors were heard approaching along the river, with two motor boats coming into view.
The Italians sent the gunboat Ermanno Carlotto and the French sent aviso La Marne for the evacuation of their citizens in Nanjing. By March 26, NRA commander Cheng Qian restored order in Nanjing and successfully restrained soldiers from further hostile actions against foreign forces, while requesting the Red Cross to mediate a cease fire with foreign naval vessels. On March 27, with 70 more refugees aboard, Preston left Nanking and headed downriver. Lieutenant Commander G. B. Ashe later recalled that the Chinese had emplaced a field-piece at a river bend outside of Nanking so he ordered general quarters well in advance of the battery, but when the ship went around the bend the Chinese did not fire.
However, because contestants faced the opposite way to the way the boat travelled, accidental fouls sometimes occurred particularly as races were often held on rivers that had bends in them. No lanes were marked out as in modern courses and in a close race a foul could happen as both men tried to get around the bend as quickly as possible. It was not unknown for a contestant to engineer a foul against himself to thereby try to win the race. In most matches an umpire or referee would rule on these sorts of fouls as to whose fault it was, usually at the time, but sometimes only after the race had finished.
Black July was hot favourite for the final which was decided at the first bend when Dark Baby slipped around the bend pursued by Shanes Legacy, Spider Hill with Black July finding significant trouble and Spider Hill knocked over and losing his jacket. Shanes Legacy caught Dark Baby to take victory with Golden Cheers finishing very well to take second place. Shanes Legacy was sold immediately after the presentation by his owner Bob McCann for £2,500 to a London building contractor named Bob Gough who then put the greyhound in England with Tony Dennis. Later in the year Dark Baby went on to win the Laurels at Cork and break the track record.
The speedy "Travelin' Band", with a strong Little Richard sound, however, bore enough similarities to "Good Golly, Miss Molly" to warrant a lawsuit by the song's publisher; it was eventually settled out of court. The song ultimately topped out at No. 2\. The band also recorded its January 31, 1970, live performance at the Oakland Coliseum Arena, which would later be marketed as a live album and television special. In February, CCR were featured on the cover of Rolling Stone, although only John was interviewed in the accompanying article. In April 1970, CCR were set to begin their first European tour. To support the upcoming live dates, John wrote "Up Around the Bend" and "Run Through the Jungle"; the single reached No. 4 that spring.
In early 1984, Hanoi Rocks and Bob Ezrin recorded Two Steps from the Move in New York and Toronto. Ezrin had invited Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople to help with the songwriting, and Hunter brought Jack Bruce (formerly of Cream), who in turn brought Pete Brown, to the recording sessions. Brown wrote a lot of lyrics, but the only one the band used was "Smoked a lot of sky, drank a lot of rain", in "Million Miles Away". By the end of April the new album was almost ready for release, but Ezrin and the label thought that the album was missing a hit, so they recorded Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Up Around the Bend", which was already a favorite of Michael Monroe and Nasty Suicide.
This is evident in the season 1 episode "Burnout", when he is prepared to sacrifice his life to destroy a dangerous artifact that attaches itself to his spine (he fortunately survives). Pete will also go to great lengths to protect his fellow agents if he believes they are being threatened — for example, his actions in the season 2 episode "Around the Bend". Although Lattimer is a capable Warehouse agent, he has a childish side that he has never grown out of — for instance, seeing how many croissants he can shove into his mouth at once; a feat Myka describes as "actually kind of impressive when you see it." Pete is also intensely curious and has a habit of playing with artifacts, which frequently gets him in trouble.
His most recent production, The Golden Drum Year (2015), is an adaptation of 365 poems written every day during O'Byrne's first year living in New York. The play is centered around the character Eugene, a young man who has recently moved to New York City and the people and experiences he encounters during his first year living there. This coming of age story was described by critic Rachel Abrams as "an artsy, expressionistic love poem to a diverse and dynamic NYC, and to anyone who’s searched for their purpose and their people in a new city". Critic Michelle DeBella writes that the play "assures us that despair is only temporary and if we wait it out, joy is just around the bend".
This necessitated demolishing the existing wharves and sheds at the Brisbane Central Wharves, excavating the cliff below Bowen Terrace, and widening the river at this point by up to . The path of the river was cut back and made smoother. Three chords were planned around the bend in the river, each providing a berth of about . The total work, described in the 1935 Annual Report of the Bureau of Industry (the government body in charge of the project), was estimated to cost in excess of . Work on the scheme commenced in 1934 and continued into the early 1940s. In January 1935 the existing wharf facilities occupied by Howard Smith Co. Ltd were resumed, along with a disused wharf upstream owned by the Brisbane City Council.
The ridgelines, which run east-northeast to west- southwest, are (from north to south) Broad, Nesquehoning, Pisgah, and Mauch Chunk ridges (or Mountains)--each of which runs over west to the gaps cut by the Schuylkill River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough of Jim Thorpe has a total area of , of which is land and , or 2.15%, is water. Jim Thorpe is north and upstream of Lehighton, below the Lehigh Gap which sunders Bear Mountain on the east bank from the extended ridge of Mauch Chunk Mountain. The town is east of Nesquehoning, which is up a steep grade and around the bend along U.S. 209 South, and also butting up against the slopes of Mount Pisgah.
It subsequently derailed and uprooted both its own tracks as well as the oncoming tracks before four-car train rolled down the dip into the stream and road that also shared the same path through the hills. A short while later and before anyone could prevent it, a pair of Uerdingen railbuses coming from Kempten came around the bend and into the debris of the crashed train. It was later discovered that the driver of the TEE train was unable to slow the train down due to condensed water collecting in the hoses between the locomotive and all the wagons freezing and blocking the air brake system. He had only electric operated brakes on the locomotive to rely on, and these evidently were unable to slow the train enough for the sharp curve.
The following year she appeared in Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Around the Bend, and Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie. She later had more supporting roles in films, including the 2005 romantic comedy-drama A Lot like Love starring Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet; The Holiday (2006) with Cameron Diaz; the science fiction adventure drama The Last Mimzy (2007) alongside Rainn Wilson; Step Brothers (2008); Revolutionary Road (2008) starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet; and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard (2009), How Do You Know (2010), Our Idiot Brother (2011), and Wanderlust (2012). On television, Hahn starred alongside Hank Azaria in the short-lived NBC comedy series Free Agents, a 2011 remake of the British series of the same name.
Paul had worked with J-Lo in the studio, playing guitar on the song "Play" from her second album J.Lo. In late 2002, he joined the house band for The Wayne Brady Show morning talk show on ABC. Around that same time, he worked on several film soundtracks including Around the Bend, Be Cool, the Oscar-winning animated film Happy Feet and Robots with composer John Powell, the Brando documentary and the comedic short film, Basta Pasta with composer Andrea Morricone. Paul has also composed and performed on soundtracks for films such as Roxanne, Earth Girls Are Easy, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Encino Man, Wild Orchid, Coming To America, Fried Green Tomatoes, Boca and Tap. In 2005, Paul co-composed the musical score for the award-winning documentary film The Canary Effect from director Robin Davey.
According to biographer Kirk Lake, "Danny Boy" is a companion piece to "Foolish Love" and together they represent the start and end of a relationship between a gay and a straight man. Danny, the straight "drug-addled" title figure with whom Wainwright had a three-year relationship, is the subject of both songs in addition to others on the album; he appears in the album's collage artwork. Wainwright sings of being so blinded by love that he fails to notice the "ship with eight sails" threatening to come around the bend, a reference to Bertolt Brecht's 1928 musical The Threepenny Opera. Kate McGarrigle, Wainwright's mother and subject of the song "Beauty Mark", performing in 2008 The chorus in "April Fools" begins with an "unusually upbeat attitude" and was considered by Greenwald to be the most accessible track on the album.
Up ahead the crow quartet returns, but instead of a warm welcome, they are given a dire warning of the creatures ahead as a dark, forbidding cave approaches Guests stumble across the secret arsenal of Mr. Fox and Mr. Bear inside of a blacklight-lit cave, including an extensive array of cannons, cannonballs, gunpowder, and TNT which they intend to use to blow up the entire Okefenokee Swamp. After guests learn their dark secrets, the evil duo attempt to kill the witnesses by firing at the boat with their rifles. After barely escaping with their lives and emerging from the cave, guests see that everything has become pitch black except for a red glow in the distance coming from around the bend. After going around said bend, guests are confronted by a tree that has fallen over the river, forming a natural archway.

A remastered single CD was released by Fantasy Records in 1999 which restored the two missing songs.
The show's theme song, "Everywhere You Look", was performed by Jesse Frederick, who co-wrote the song with writing partner Bennett Salvay and series creator Jeff Franklin. Various instrumental versions of the theme song were used in the closing credits; the version used during seasons three through eight was also used in the opening credits in some early syndication runs, although the song was almost always truncated to the chorus for broadcast. Seasons one through five used a longer version of the theme song. In syndicated airings, the line "you miss your old familiar friends, but waiting just around the bend" replaced the lines starting with "how did I get delivered here, somebody tell me please..." (after ABC Family acquired the series in 2003, it became the first television outlet to air the long versions of the theme since the series' ABC run, which were included only in select episodes from the first five seasons, whereas the full version was used in most episodes during those seasons).
Other reviews were also positive; Sal Cinquemani from Slant Magazine suggested that "The Fear" is proof of the pop singer's self-awareness, but, given her own personal tabloid history, the song possesses a trail of irony: "I'll look at The Sun and I'll look in The Mirror/I'm on the right track, yeah, we're onto a winner." Leah Greenblatt of Entertainment Weekly liked the song, in which Allen makes fun of her own material-girl ID and went on to say that it is in fact "a tale of two Lilys: the naughty postadolescent in the rearview mirror, and the fully realized female coming around the bend." Chris Buckle from The Skinny gave "The Fear" three stars, commenting that it "is a potent reminder that she's more than just gobby gossip-fodder", but also disliked a few lyrics, which "in particular [are] a clumsy attempt to inject politics amongst the celeb-woe naval-gazing", while About.com praised the song for being a "pop masterpiece", Allen's "witty intelligent lyrics" and compared it to Pink's "Stupid Girls".
The ship's remaining crew consists of its new commanding officer, Lieutenant Doolittle (helmsman, and originally second-in-command), Sergeant Pinback (bombardier), Corporal Boiler (navigator), and Talby (target specialist). As the tedium of their tasks over 20 years has driven them "around the bend", they have created distractions for themselves: Doolittle, formerly a surfer from Malibu, California, has constructed a musical bottle organ; Talby spends his time in the ship's observation dome, content to watch the universe go by; Boiler obsessively trims his moustache, smokes cigars, and shoots targets with the ship's emergency laser rifle in a corridor. Pinback plays practical jokes on the crew members, maintains a video diary, and has adopted a ship's mascot in the form of a mischievous "beach ball"-like alien who refuses to stay in a storage room, forcing Pinback to chase it around the ship and eventually kill it with a gun. Pinback claims he is actually liquid fuel specialist Bill Frug, who inadvertently took the "real" Sergeant Pinback's place after he committed suicide by jumping into a fuel tank.
" Other critics found the verse to be racist and jingoistic, although author Seth Rogovoy, writing 30 years later, claims that although "perhaps overly patriotic at the time," the verse has proved prophetic, as reliance on foreign energy had laid the foundation for the "long-term destruction of America's economic engine," with destructive environmental consequences to boot. Other verses contain abundant criticism about America, with lines about how "in the home of the brave, Jefferson's turning over in his grave, fools glorifying themselves, trying to manipulate Satan." Commenting on the sixth verse, that states "people starving and thirsting," while "grain elevators are bursting" even though "you know it costs more to store the food than it do to give it", Allmusic critic Jim Esch said was evidence that Dylan's conversion to Christianity "had reawakened an outraged moral sensibility"; Rogovoy points to it as a prime example of Dylan "pointing out the hypocrisy and stupidity lying behind social dysfunction; Gray comments on the prescience of these lines six years before Live Aid. The image in the refrain of a "slow train comin' around the bend" has been interpreted as a symbol of the coming apocalypse and as a symbol of salvation.
