She joined the Academy of Performing Arts at the Theatre on the Balustrade in Parague in 1962 where she remained until 1968, later appearing on stage there from 1992 to 1995. She was married to Jan Grossman (1925-1993), a notable theatre director.

He found such a talent in Owen Jones, who went on to appear in films during the 1930s as well as appearing on stage in Hamlet with Laurence Olivier. Jones, an RAF pilot, died through an illness after an accident at his airbase, which left Burton heartbroken. The arrival of a new young talent, Richard Jenkins, brought Burton fresh hope.

Rajabu Willer (born 19 February 1991 in Allerød), better known as Kaka (stylized KAKA; ), is a Danish reggae, dancehall and hip hop artist of Tanzanian descent. At various times, he was known as Little Kaka, Lil' Kaka and Bigg Kaka before dropping the adjectives. In 2007, Kaka had his debut appearing on stage with Natasja Saad on her last shows in Copenhagen before she died in Jamaica. Kaka later collaborated with Lirical D'Mirical and his sound system Splif Click also being part of the Danish reggae underground scene with Youngblood Sound.

The original line-up of Liverpool Express were reunited in August 2002, following global fan interest. This lead Roger to compile and release "The Best of Liverpool Express", which featured a brand new song, a tribute to The Beatles titled "John George Ringo & Paul". Jansen was thought to have earned over her career an estimated $500,000, but by the time of her bankruptcy she was unable to pay a $7 a-week bill for lodging while working as seamstress and occasionally appearing on stage in minor roles. In early 1990, the Chinese government would permit him to embark his first rock tour entitled the "New Long March", to raise money for the 1990 Asian Games. Ten concerts were scheduled in Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Xi'an, Chengdu and others. Midway through the tour, Cui Jian gained notoriety for appearing on stage wearing a red blindfold across his eyes before performing his well-known political anthem, "A Piece of Red Cloth", imprompting the government to terminate the performance and cancel the remainder of the tour. There was an effort made to veer toward making puppets more humanistic and away from their folk art roots, which led away from use of marionettes and focus almost exclusively on glove or rod puppets. In 1959, the Leningrad Institute for Music, Film, and Theater created a puppet department, formalizing state training for puppetmasters. During the policy reforms in the Gorbachev era, experimentation began with puppeteers appearing on-stage with their manikins and even with actors portraying puppet characters.

A ghost character, in the bibliographic or scholarly study of texts of dramatic literature, is a term for an inadvertent error committed by the playwright in the act of writing. It is a character who is mentioned as appearing on stage, but who does not do anything, and who seems to have no purpose. As Kristian Smidt put it, they are characters that are "introduced in stage directions or briefly mentioned in dialogue who have no speaking parts and do not otherwise manifest their presence". On April 9, 2011, Romita was one of 62 comics creators who appeared at the IGN stage at the Kapow! convention in London to set two Guinness World Records, the "Fastest Production of a Comic Book" and "Most Contributors to a Comic Book". With Guinness officials on hand to monitor their progress, writer Millar began work at 9 a.m. scripting a 20-page black- and-white comic book of his character Superior, with Romita and the other artists appearing on stage throughout the day to work on the pencils, inks, and lettering, each drawing a panel.
Forbes trained as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art from age 17, but completed only three terms. He completed four years of military service in the Intelligence Corps and Combined Forces Entertainment Unit, during which time he started to write short stories. After completing his military service in 1948, following British Equity rules, he was obliged to change his name to avoid confusion with actor John Clark. Forbes began to act, appearing on stage and playing numerous supporting roles in British films, in particular An Inspector Calls (1954) and The Colditz Story (1955).

In this fragile state, Zoheb pushes Mannu toward drugs again and his mental state is now so fragile that he can't face appearing on stage. In the moments leading up to the stage entrance, Mannu comes to senses and chooses the righteous path and runs to support his mate. But Arjun, who has become incensed with the crowd chanting Mannu's name, confesses his envy of Mannu's talent and what he did to finish Mannu off. The audience boos Arjun, the show ends in chaos, the band breaks up and a sad Mannu eventually returns to his village.

Barrett was born as Marlyne Nayokah Afflack in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career appearing on stage and television, before she co-starred with Hill Harper in the 2003 romantic comedy Love, Sex and Eating the Bones. In the late 90s, she was a VJ for the TV station Musique Plus in Montreal, Canada. Later in 2000s, Barrett had a number of guest starring television roles on the New York City-filmed dramas, include the NBC police procedural drama Law & Order and its spin-offs Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Trial by Jury and the short-lived NBC legal drama Conviction.

At college he met fellow students, Martin Murphy, Chris O'Doherty, David Twohill and Steve Coburn, whose band, Mental As Anything, had been playing art school parties and dances since May 1976. While playing harmonica in another band at the time, Smith started appearing on stage with Mental As Anything from around December.

There is usually little formal rehearsal for an appearance of Everyone Orchestra. The music is mainly improvised, with the various members of the band (as well we the audience) taking cues from a conductor. In addition to using hand signals and vocal cues, the conductor makes use of white boards to guide what would be a cacophonous mass- improvisation into a coherent musical journey. The musicians performing will very often be appearing on stage together for the first time, so by taking cues from the conductor as well as their fellow musicians, Everyone Orchestra strives to create something new and different each time they perform.

Mitt Romney and Michele Bachmann both declined to debate. Johnson was excluded from the next three debates on June 13 (hosted by CNN in New Hampshire), August 11 (hosted by Fox News in Iowa), and September 7 (hosted by CNN in California). After the first exclusion, Johnson made a 43-minute video responding to each of the debate questions, which he posted on YouTube.
Kate began appearing on stage by the age of five, at a time when child prodigies were something of a rage in the United States. After performing with Ellen around the Midwest and Southeast for a couple of years, the girls debuted in New York in 1849; their show included excerpts from several of Shakespeare's plays. On 13 September 1817 a letter was printed in the Bristol Journal, allegedly from Sir Hudson Lowe, the official in charge of the exiled Emperor Napoleon on St. Helena. It claimed that after the Philadelphia-bound ship bearing the beautiful Caraboo had been driven close to the island by a tempest, the intrepid princess impulsively cut herself adrift in a small boat, rowed ashore and so fascinated the emperor that he was applying to the Pope for a dispensation to marry her. That story is unverified. In the USA, she briefly continued her role, appearing on-stage at the Washington Hall, Philadelphia, as 'Princess Caraboo', with little success.

The three brothers, Iwan, Aled and Dafydd Hughes, formed the band in 2006 and got a fair amount of attention from the Welsh language music scene through an early appearance on S4C's music programme Bandit. BBC Radio Cymru's C2 programme slot also regularly aired demos that the band had recorded. In the last week leading up to a contest, bodybuilders usually decrease their consumption of water, sodium, and carbohydrates, the former two to alter how water is retained by the body and the latter to reduce glycogen in the muscle. The day before the show, water is removed from the diet, and diuretics may be introduced, while carbohydrate loading is undertaken to increase the size of the muscles through replenishment of their glycogen. The goal is to maximize leanness and increase the visibility of veins, or "vascularity". The muscular definition and vascularity are further enhanced immediately before appearing on stage by darkening the skin through tanning products and applying oils to the skin to increase shine.

O'Reilly had just finished appearing on stage as Edmund in King Lear and saw similarities between the two characters which resulted in him basing Gowron upon the Shakespearian character. Often followspot operators do not take their cues from stage managers. This is generally because the timing of actors' entrances and exits and other movements may vary from night to night, and because calling every followspot cue could become too complicated and interfere with the calling and execution of other cues. However, if there is a problem with the actor appearing on stage, the stage manager will notify the followspots of this over headset. More commonly, a stage manager may only call very specific followspot cues, like a blackout—frequently on a blackout cue there is a light cue, a sound cue, a followspot cue and sometimes even a set cue, so it is very important that everything happens all at the same time.

She wrote TV sketches, music and lyrics for the satirical The Mavis Bramston Show from Episode 1 throughout its 4-year run and starred in it with Ron Frazer during its last 2 years . Following the Australian tour with Madge Ryan for J.C. Williamsons in Peter Shaffer's play Black Comedy she returned to England in 1969, where she spent the next 20 years appearing on stage, in films and TV dramas and comedies .
He returned to Warsaw after the war, but no theatre would hire him and he spend several years giving dance lessons and occasionally singing in cabarets. It is speculated that he might have appeared in a number of silent films in that period, none of them survive to our times however. His debut came in 1925, when he was hired by the famous Qui Pro Quo cabaret as a singer and dancer, "immediately conquering the audience with his natural juvenile wit and temperamental performances of Warsaw street types." She appeared as the housekeeper in The Bishop's Wife (1947) with David Niven playing the bishop, Loretta Young his wife, and Cary Grant an angel. Lanchester played a comical role as an artist in the thriller, The Big Clock (1948), in which Laughton starred as a megalomaniacal press tycoon. She had a part as a painter specialising in nativity scenes in Come to the Stable (1949), for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress (1949). During the late 1940s and 1950s she appeared in small but highly varied supporting roles in a number of films while simultaneously appearing on stage at the Turnabout Theatre in Hollywood.
Monty Python Live at Aspen was a reunion show featuring the surviving members of the Monty Python team: John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, appearing on stage together for the first time since their Hollywood Bowl shows in 1980. Born in Rome, the son of a painter, during the Second World War Scaccia was conscripted into the army as an officer in Sicily; made prisoner by the American army, he was taken in Morocco, where he remained three years. In 1945 Scaccia returned to Rome, where he abandoned his studies in pedagogy and enrolled at the Accademia Nazionale di Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico, attending only the first year; in 1946 he started appearing on stage, usually as character actor. In 1961 Scaccia was co-founder, together with Valeria Moriconi, Franco Enriquez and Glauco Mauri, of the Compagnia dei Quattro ("Company of the Four") that gained critical and commercial success. At the same time Scaccia was a prolific character actor in films, TV series and radio-dramas.

Hemant Mahaur was born on 18 August 1976 in Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal in Uttar Pradesh in Northern India in a middle-class family. He began appearing on stage at the age of six when he took part in his school plays in Hatharas city in Uttar Pradesh. On 9 April 2011 Gibbons was one of 62 comics creators who appeared at the IGN stage at the Kapow! convention in London to set two Guinness World Records, the Fastest Production of a Comic Book, and Most Contributors to a Comic Book. With Guinness officials on hand to monitor their progress, writer Mark Millar began work at 9am scripting a 20-page black and white Superior comic book, with various artists appearing on stage throughout the day to work on the pencils, inks, and lettering. The artists included Gibbons, Frank Quitely, John Romita Jr., Jock, Adi Granov, Doug Braithwaite, Ian Churchill, Olivier Coipel, Duncan Fegredo, Simon Furman, David Lafuente, John McCrea, Sean Phillips and Liam Sharp, who all drew a panel each, with regular Superior artist Leinil Yu creating the book's front cover.

Playback 808 was established and upon the label's founding, Eman, Ajak, Kuei & NeSs joined and the small team began recording with in-house producer JC. The songs and freestyle sessions were then filmed by local director T Vision and uploaded to YouTube, where they began to build a following. Despite the buzz they were generating, the young MCs were still considered outsiders by the wider Australian hip-hop community and thus had limited opportunities to perform in the city's live music venues. They began appearing on stage at community events and giving impromptu live performances at parties. The performance ended with Le rossignol, during which almost all the stars who did not have roles in the opera paid homage to their respected and well-liked colleague by appearing on stage in the chorus. The first part of the concert saw the company of the Théâtre-Français transfer to the Opéra for a revival of Racine's tragedy Athalie, performed with incidental music and choruses by Gossec.Racine's tragedy had already been given at the Opéra four years earlier, premiering on 8 March 1819, with the host theatre's company (included Lays himself) performing the choral and musical interludes written by Gossec, to which an excerpt from The Creation by Haydn was also added.
Pillows & Prayers (subtitled Cherry Red 1982-1983) is a compilation album released Christmas 1982, featuring artists on the Cherry Red record label. The record was originally sold at 99 pence (in fact, "pay no more than 99p" was printed on the original sleeve), which helped ensure that the album peaked and remained at number 1 on the UK Indie Chart for five weeks and sold over 120,000 copies. In 2007 the album was repackaged as a 3-CD plus DVD box set featuring complementary tracks from the same period and an extended essay by Alex Ogg. This revised edition won the 2008 MOJO Award for Catalogue Release of the Year, with three of the key artists, Martyn Bates (Eyeless in Gaza), Lawrence (Felt) and Bid (The Monochrome Set) appearing on stage to collect the award, alongside Cherry Red founder Iain McNay.

The first-night audience at the Théâtre Lyrique received the work well, and called for Bizet at the conclusion. Ghosts of Jupiter is a psychedelic rock band based out of the Boston area, previously known as the Nate Wilson Group. Led by former Percy Hill keyboardist Nate Wilson, the band features a loud, riff-heavy sound inspired by classic rock groups such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Cream. GOJ features Adam Terrell (also of Assembly of Dust) and Jason Cohen (formerly of the Ryan Montbleau Band), while MIT graduate bassist Tommy Lada and drummer Tom Arey (also touring with J. Geils Band) hold down the band's rhythm section. Band leader, Wilson, a New England Conservatory of Music graduate, has also worked as a freelance and session musician, appearing on stage and in the studio with artists such as Chuck Berry, John Scofield, Peter Bernstein, Stephen Perkins of Jane’s Addiction, and members of Phish and the Allman Brothers Band. Ghosts of Jupiter’s self-titled album was released in November, 2011.
The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards cancelled its in-person ceremonies (scrapping plans to hold a less- crowded ceremony at Barclays Center), relying mainly on pre-recorded performances and appearances on chroma key stages in New York City and Los Angeles (and in the case of K-pop group BTS, South Korea), and performances filmed on-location at sites across New York City. New one-off award categories for best home-filmed music videos, "quarantine performances", and music performances by first responders were also added. The ACM Awards would be moved to Nashville, with performances and award presentations divided between the Bluebird Café, the Grand Ole Opry House, and the Ryman Auditorium. The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards were produced behind closed doors from Staples Center in Los Angeles, with Jimmy Kimmel and award presenters appearing on- stage at the arena, and nominees appearing via remote feeds from various locations.
On February 20, 2014, Tony Yayo claimed that G-Unit had officially broken up, saying he and 50 Cent were no longer friends, and also announced his retirement from music, saying it had caused him too much stress and that he had already accomplished everything he wished to do. Then, after what seemed like condescending comments made about Lloyd Banks and Yayo in multiple interviews, on April 25, 2014, 50 Cent said that due to the recent inside-fighting, G-Unit was currently "dismantled." Despite this, on June 1, 2014, G-Unit reunited at the 21st annual Summer Jam with 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, and G-Unit's newest member, Louisiana rapper Kidd Kidd appearing on stage together. Some colonial Indologists and modern authors have argued that Bharatanatyam is a descendant of an ancient Devadasi (literally, servant girls of Deva temples) culture, suggesting a historical origin back to between 300 BCE and 300 CE. Modern scholarship has questioned this theory for lack of any direct textual or archeological evidence. Historic sculpture and texts do describe and project dancing girls, as well as temple quarters dedicated to women, but they do not state them to be courtesans and prostitutes as alleged by early colonial Indologists. According to Davesh Soneji, a critical examination of evidence suggests that courtesan dancing is a phenomenon of the modern era, beginning in the late 16th or the 17th century of the Nayaka period of Tamil Nadu. According to James Lochtefeld, Bharatanatyam remained exclusive to Hindu temples through the 19th century, only in the 20th century appearing on stage outside the temples.
While Clunes was appearing on stage at the Hampstead Theatre, Harry Enfield came to see him; the acquaintanceship developed into a friendship where Clunes played characters in Enfield's sketch shows (most notably one of the Rugby Players).
