Vijay grows up with his karate instructor while Desh is reared at a gypsy camp where he befriends Imran (Mazhar). Khan tracks down the karate instructor who kills himself before Khan could torture him for information about the scientist's missing sons and the necklace. The dying instructor gives the necklace to Vijay, who later gives it to his girlfriend Aarti (Yogita), who is the instructor's daughter, for safekeeping. Vijay and Aarti raid Khan's illegal godowns and kill many of his men.

The art hall building in Taarasti was completed in 1990. It was designed by architect Erkki Aarti. Taarasti is owned and operated by the local art association called Nastolan Taideyhdistys ry. The sound it produced was called shankanad. Nowadays, the shankha is blown at the time of worship in Hindu temples and homes, especially in the ritual of the Hindu aarti, when light is offered to the deities. The shankha is also used to bathe images of deities, especially Vishnu, and for ritual purification. Devotees worship the deity throughout night by singing bhajans, reciting aarti and listening to legends of the deity.

Desh realizes that it is his mother's necklace where his father has hidden the priceless diamond. On the Shivratri night, Hindus in Karachi fast and visit the temple. Ganges Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Varanasi Dashashwamedh Ghat is located close to Vishwanath Temple, and is probably the most spectacular ghat. Two Hindu mythologies are associated with it: According to one, Lord Brahma created it to welcome Lord Shiva. According to another, Lord Brahma sacrificed ten horses, during Dasa-Ashwamedha yajna performed here. A group of priests daily perform in the evening at this ghat "Agni Pooja" (Worship to Fire) wherein a dedication is made to Lord Shiva, River Ganges, Surya (Sun), Agni (Fire), and the whole universe.

Shuruaat Ka Interval is a 2014 Indian collaborative feature film directed by a team of eight filmmakers including Aarti S. Bagdi, Amrit Raj Gupta, Atanu Mukherjee, Ankit Tripathi, Krishan Hooda, Palash Vaswani, Rukshana Tabassum, Shishir Jha. PVR Director's Rare & Humaramovie presented the short film anthology Shuruaat Ka Interval, which includes 8 shorts from various filmmakers, chosen and mentored by filmmakers Imtiaz Ali, Vikramaditya Motwane, Anand Gandhi & Vikas Bahl. All the films are based on one theme: Interval, which has been interpreted in a different, unique way by each filmmaker.

In recent years, residents have spearheaded a local arts revival. In 1987, residents and others from the Aarti Hotel on Leavenworth Street founded the 509 Cultural Center at 509 Ellis Street. After the 1989 earthquake damaged that facility, artists founded The Luggage Store at 1007 Market, at the intersection of 6th Street, Market, Taylor and Golden Gate Avenue. In 1989 the Tenderloin Reflection and Education Center (TREC) spun off from St Anthony foundation and operated a cultural center including dance, music, writing quilting, and other arts workshops in the St. Boniface Neighborhood Center.

On winning a new construction project, Rajiv moves with his family to a new place, one which is both close to the woods, as well as the beach. Durga Puja After Chhath puja, Durga puja is the second major festival of Bihar. Here, it is celebrated for ten days. People perform fasts during festival and married women perform 'saanjh' which means sandhya aarti and "khoecha" is given to goddess by women because it is a tradition in Bihar that when a daughter comes to her father's house 'khoecha' is given to her by her mother and it is believed that goddess Durga comes to her maayka from her sasural every year. Whole cities and villages are decorated with beautiful lights and beautiful pandals are created for this grand festival.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rahman stated that he had emphasized the folk-classical genre as the film brings out a fascination for Benaras through the music and most of the songs are character-driven. The composer stated that he had used the sounds of shehnai in almost every song, thereby paying a tribute to Ustad Bismillah Khan. The death of the Italian tourist was wrongly reported in some media agencies, while he was recuperating in a city hospital.

Aarti, which is a ritual of waving lit lamps in circular motions to illuminate the different parts of the murti while singing a song of praise, is performed five times daily in shikharbaddha mandirs and twice daily in smaller mandirs. A locally made film documentary, produced by Jitu Kalita in 2012 The Molai Forest, was screened at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Jitu Kalita, who lives near Payeng's house, has also featured and given recognition on his reporting of the life of Payeng through his documentary. People have pledged 8,327 USD on the Kickstarter campaign for the post-production of this documentary in early 2013, which was shown at 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

In many villages in Tamil Nadu, a village god is represented by planting spears or trishulas in the ground to represent his martial prowess. In the village of Kogilu near Bengaluru, the goddesses were represented by items such as a lamp or a stone pillar. In many areas of South Karnataka, the village goddess is symbolized by an aarti, a lamp made of rice flour shaped like a cone and adorned with kumkuma in the shape of a face. All these icons are believed to be the deity itself, rather than simply a vessel to hold it.

The last day of the Margashirsha month, which is the day of Poornima and also the wedding day of Sri Andal and Shree Balaji, is celebrated with special decorations in the temple along with a Maha Aarti to mark this occasion. Archana Archana is a special pooja carried out by the temple priest. Narashima Swamiji. Some disciples of Sai Baba achieved fame as spiritual figures, such as Upasni Maharaj of Sakori. After the demise of Sai Baba, his devotees offered the daily Aarti to Upasni Maharaj when he paid a visit to Shirdi twice within 10 years.

Traditionally, ghee () is always made from bovine milk, as cows are considered sacred, and it is a sacred requirement in Vedic yajña and homa (fire rituals), through the medium of Agni (fire) to offer oblations to various deities. Many Hindu organizations, especially the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, observe Jhulan for five days. At Mayapur, the world headquarters of the ISKCON, deities of Radha and Krishna are decorated and placed on an ornate swing in the temple courtyard for devotees to swing their favorite deities using a flowery rope while offering flower petals amid bhajans and kirtans. They dance and sing the popular hymns 'Hare Krishna Mahamantra,' 'Jaya Radhe, Jaya Krishna,' 'Jaya Vrindavan,' 'Jaya Radhe, Jaya Jaya Madhava' and other devotional songs. The film released in February 1975 amidst controversy, as rumours abound that it was based on the life of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Some of film's posters also hyped the similarity, with lines like, "See your Prime Minister on screen" and "the story of a great woman political leader in post-Independence India", were featured in a film magazine. Eventually, the film was given a go ahead after it was seen by two staff members and then Information and Broadcasting minister, I.K. Gujral. The 2010 Varanasi bombing was a blast that occurred on 7 December 2010, in one of the holiest Hindu cities, Varanasi. The explosion occurred at Sheetla Ghat, adjacent to the main Dashashwamedh Ghat, where the sunset aarti, the evening prayer ritual to the holy river, Ganges had commenced, on these stone steps leading to it, where thousands of worshipers and tourists had gathered. It killed a two-year-old girl, sitting on her mother's lap, the mother was one of three critically injured, more than 38 other people were injured. In the ensuing panic after the blast, a railing broke causing a stampede leading to an increase in the number of injuries.

There was only the ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, an Indian Government undertaking) quarters, which were not owned, but rather provided to the employees of ONGC by the Government. The Nikita Natasha building complex was then built across from the buildings owned by the employees of Mazagon Docks, then Aarti Aashish was built across the street from the ONGC quarters. Bhagirathi Villa and associated buildings were built down the street from ONGC and then Sagar Park apartment complex and Shrenik Nagar Co-operative Housing Society were built opposite to Amrut Nagar circle.

Lajja () is a 2001 Indian Hindi-language drama film produced and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Based on the plight of women and feminism in India, the film satirizes the honor with which women are placed in society and the restrictions on them. The fact that the four women's names (Maithili, Janki, Ramdulaari, and Vaidehi) are all versions of Sita, the ideal Hindu woman's name, is a message in itself. The film features Manisha Koirala in the lead role as Vaidehi, the mistreated woman, while an ensemble cast of Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry, Johnny Lever, Madhuri Dixit, Rekha, Ajay Devgn, Suresh Oberoi, Sharman Joshi, Danny Dengzongpa, Razak Khan, Gulshan Grover and Aarti Chhabria appear in supporting roles.

Mangalashtak Once More () is a 2013 Indian romantic musical comedy film directed by Sameer Joshi, and produced by Renu Desai under the banner of Shree Aadhya Films. The film features Swwapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve in lead roles; it is the third collaboration between Joshi and Barve after Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta (2012) and also stars Sai Tamhankar and Kadambari Kadam in supporting roles. The film is about Aarti and Satyajit who are happily married, but after a certain while because of Aarti's over caring behaviour, Satyajit feels suffocated and they part ways. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Nilesh Moharir while the cinematography and editing were handled Sanjay Jadhav and Suchitra Sathe respectively.

Aandhi (translation: Storm) is a 1975 Indian political drama film starring Sanjeev Kumar and Suchitra Sen, and directed by Gulzar. At the time it was alleged that the film was based on the life of the then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and her relationship with her estranged husband, but in reality, only the look was inspired by the politician Tarkeshwari Sinha and Indira Gandhi. The story is based on a chance meeting of an estranged couple after several years, when wife Aarti Devi, now a leading politician happens to stay in the hotel run by her husband during an election campaign. The movie is noted for its songs composed by Rahul Dev Burman, written by Gulzar and sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.

He argues that every single member of Murad's family was aware and supportive of Shahid's action and his home was the den of terrorist operations. As evidence, he presents Shahid's laptop which has detail procedure of how to make bombs, a transmitter which was installed at Murad's home to communicate with the terrorists via private frequencies, CCTV footage of Bilaal giving lift to Mefooz Alam and him selling SIM cards to terrorists without asking for any valid documents. Based on all these facts, he requests the judge to consider Murad also as a person of interest in this case and remove him as Bilaal's defense lawyer. The court agrees, Murad has to step down and Aarti takes his place as the main lawyer for this case.

Since he had access to Bilaal's mobile shop he only took those SIM cards without any document and used those to communicate with the terrorists. Bilaal had no idea who Mehfooz Alam was and so when he came to meet Shahid, he assumed him to be his friend and offered him a drop at the railway station since he was also heading in the same direction. Aarti also argues that it has become a mindset of people to consider all Muslims as terrorists and someone just by growing a beard or practicing Islam becomes a terrorist in public eye. Just because of this established taboo about Muslims, Murad and his family is going through this horrible trauma and humiliation which even claimed Bilaal's life.

This triple presence connects him as the messenger between gods and human beings in the Vedic thought. The relative importance of Agni declined in the post-Vedic era, as he was internalized and his identity evolved to metaphorically represent all transformative energy and knowledge in the Upanishads and later Hindu literature. Agni remains an integral part of Hindu traditions, such as being the central witness of the rite-of-passage ritual in traditional Hindu weddings called Saptapadi or Agnipradakshinam (seven steps and mutual vows) as well being part of Diya (lamp) in festivals such as Divali and Aarti in Puja. Agni (Pali: Aggi) is a term that appears extensively in Buddhist texts and in the literature related to the Senika heresy debate within the Buddhist traditions.

Abha Singh gave seminar on 'Will and succession' for Amdavadi women on March 1 organised by the JITO Ladies Wing, Ahmedabad chapter with an aim to make women aware about their rights. This first song, "Main To Arti Utaru" (I perform Mother Santoshi's aarti) exemplifies through its camerawork the experience of darshan —of "seeing" and being seen by a deity in the reciprocal act of "visual communion" that is central to Hindu worship. Through the Mother's grace, Satyavati soon meets, falls in love with, and manages to marry the handsome lad Brijmohan ("Birju"), youngest of seven brothers in a prosperous Bias Brahmin farmer family, an artistic flute-playing type who can also render a zippy bhajan on request (Apni Santoshi Maa, "Our Mother Santoshi"). The film opens in the Dev Lok (Hindi for Devaloka) or "the world of the gods," a Hindu heaven located above the clouds, where we witness the "birth" of Goddess Santoshi ("Santoshi Maa") as the daughter of Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed god of good beginnings, and his two wives Riddhi and Siddhi ("prosperity" and "spiritual power"). Although, Lord Vinayaka has another wife Buddhi ("wisdom") and another son, Kshema ("well-being"), other than Shubha ("auspiciousness") and Labha ("profit"), they are not portrayed in the film. A key role is played by the immortal sage Narada, a devotee of Lord Vishnu, and a cosmic busybody who regularly intervenes to advance the film's two parallel plots, which concern both human beings and gods. We soon meet the 18th-century maiden Satyavati Sharma (Kanan Kaushal), Santoshi Mata's greatest earthly devotee, leading a group of women in an aarti to the goddess.

Devotional (bhakti movement) practices centred on cultivating a deep and personal bond of love with God, often expressed and facilitated with one or more murti, and includes individual or community hymns, japa or singing (bhajan, kirtan or aarti). Stage of Godavari Harathi in Rajamundry Devotees taking a holy dip at Bhadrachalam during Maha Pushkaram in 2015 An emblem titled "Godavari Maha Pushkaram 2015" and "Godavari Pushkaramalu" has been adopted by the state governments for this festival, and a special organization under the same name has also been instituted to address all issues related to the smooth functioning of the festive event. The emblem or logo with a simple design has lines to denote the rapid flow conditions of the Godavari River, a "jyoti" a glowing light, and the representation of offering oblation, called "Arghyam", to Surya, the Sun god. Another symbolic event proposed during the festival is to hold "Sobha Yatra", a procession carrying the sacred waters of the Godavari River to be mixed with water bodies in all the villages in the 13 districts which lie within the ambit of the Godavari River. A religious symbolic performance called the "Godavari Harathi", a ritual of worship with a number of lamps, similar to the Ganga Aarti that is conducted on the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi, is also proposed to be held at Rajahmundry where the river flows out to the sea.
