DreamWorks Theatre is a motion simulator attraction that opened on June 15, 2018 at Universal Studios Hollywood located in the Universal City, California community of Los Angeles. The new attraction is themed around characters featured in films from DreamWorks Animation and features the use of projection mapping. It replaced the Shrek 4-D attraction, which closed on August 13, 2017.
In 2006, the Balloon Museum planned to add a new 4-D movie theater. To pay for the equipment, the Museum obtained a sizable grant from the State of New Mexico. The money, some $1.7 million, was distributed by then-Governor Bill Richardson without oversight or review. The Museum used a million dollars to buy the video equipment, which was delivered in 2008.

Mounted to the top of the upper case is a carry handle in which the probe clips in for storage, a connector for a headphone and the control knob. The inside of the unit contains high voltage electronics of up to 900 volts, so care is recommended when operating with the case open. The unit weighs approximately 2.2 kg with 4 D-cell batteries. Models using other numbers of batteries will vary in weight accordingly.
The third space featured the main attraction, a 4-D film entitled "The Garden." In the fourth and final space, the pavilion's corporate sponsors displayed their emerging technologies and products. "The Garden" told the story of a 10-year-old girl who envisions turning a blighted vacant city lot in her neighborhood into a beautiful, urban pocket park. 4D/RCS integrates the NIST Real-time Control System (RCS) architecture with the German (Bundeswehr University of Munich) VaMoRs 4-D approach to dynamic machine vision. It incorporates many concepts developed under the U.S. Department of Defense Demo I, Demo II, and Demo III programs, which demonstrated increasing levels of robotic vehicle autonomy. The theory embodied in 4D/RCS borrows heavily from cognitive psychology, semiotics, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.Albus et al. (2002).
This zone contains the Lego Studio, a purpose-built 600-seat 4-D theater, complete with special effects and a giant screen. Kaempferol-3-O-β-D- glucopyranoside-7-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside, a known bitter-tasting flavonoid glycoside, (-)-4β-carboxymethyl epiafzelechin (3'-deoxydryopteric acid), epiafzelechin-(4β→8, 2β→O→7)-epiafzelechin-(4β→8)-3'-deoxydryopteric acid methyl ester (selligueain B), and (+)-afzelechin-O-β-4'-D-glucopyranoside were also isolated from the rhizomes of Selliguea feei.
The Stanford Exploration Project (SEP) is an industry-funded academic consortium within the Geophysics Department at Stanford University. SEP research has contributed greatly to improving the theory and practice of constructing 3-D and 4-D images of the earth from seismic echo soundings (see: Reflection seismology). Broken Helix is a third-person shooter game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation in 1997. It was marketed as featuring "4-D" gameplay, referencing the fact that the game's events all unfold in real time (time is sometimes referred to as the fourth dimension). This allows the player to activate and deactivate certain objects in later levels of the game. It also has four plot lines, allowing the player to finish the game in four different ways.

Poco lento - Allegro 4/4 D major This movement, written in unusual sonata form combined with ternary form, begins with a large introduction, which d'Indy calls the Lied (song) and also L'idée mère (fundamental or generative idea). The first violin plays the main theme of the introduction over the harmonic accompaniment of strings (Excerpt 1). This subject will appear in this and later movements as the first cyclic theme. A number of spin-off attractions operate alongside Shrek 4-D in various amusement parks. In Universal Studios Florida, Donkey's Photo Finish is a meet and greet attraction that opened in 2003 alongside the film, replacing Stage 54. The attraction consists of guests walking up to an animatronic Donkey who mingles with them and makes fun of them. The guests have their picture taken with Donkey, and then move onto meeting Shrek and Princess Fiona, the latter of which talks to them.

An ancient galactic race boot-strapped itself into 11-D and Unity, leaving a mechanism built of stuff as two artificial moons around an earth-like planet. The continued existence/operation of these is probably essential to Unity. The Unity mechanism allows for multiple unconnected Unities, whose uncoordinated actions in 11-D can destroy the conditions that permit the existence of expanded 4-D space-times.
Happy Feet 4-D Experience is a 12-minute 4D film shown at various 4D theaters over the world. It retells the condensed story of Happy Feet with the help of 3D projection and sensory effects, including moving seats, wind, mist and scents. Produced by SimEx-Iwerks, the 4D experience premiered in March 2010 at the Drayton Manor Theme Park. Other locations included Sea World (2010-2011), Shedd Aquarium (2010-2012), Moody Gardens (2010-2011), Nickelodeon Suites Resort, and Adventure Aquarium.
The chemical regulation of water hyacinths can be done using common herbicides such as 2,4-D, glyphosate, and diquat. The herbicides are sprayed on the water hyacinth leaves and leads to direct changes to the physiology of the plant. The use of the herbicide known as 2,4-D leads to the death of water hyacinth through inhibition of cell growth of new tissue and cellular apoptosis. It can take almost a two-week period before mats of water hyacinth are destroyed with 2, 4-D.
Alfred Hitchcock: The Art of Making Movies was a part-3-D film, part-live action show at Universal Studios Florida, and one of the theme park's original attractions. The attraction featured attacks from birds similar to Hitchcock's film The Birds in the pre- show area, and featured the shower scene from Psycho in the main show with narration by Anthony Perkins who played the part of Norman Bates in Psycho. It closed on January 3, 2003, and was replaced by Shrek 4-D in mid-2003.

An award-winning 4-D film, Beyond All Boundaries, is shown in the Solomon Victory Theater and gives the visitor an overview of the war on every front. Other multimedia displays are integrated into most of the museum's exhibits, notably the dozens of video oral histories conducted with veterans of the war by museum staff. Local drinks offered included teh tarik mixed with "Gula Angau" – local sugar and tongkat ali, which consists of boiled long jack root mixed with coffee.
"Let It Be with You" is a song by British musician Belouis Some, released as a single from his 1987 self-titled second album. The song reached No. 53 on the UK Singles Chart, and No. 13 on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart. Two music videos were filmed to promote the single, with the UK and European version being shot in London. The North American version was shot in New York, directed by Willie Slax and produced by Julian Ludlow for 4-D Productions.

3D Structure Change Detection is a type of Change detection (GIS) processes for GIS (geographical information systems). It is a process that measures how the volume of a particular area have changed between two or more time periods. A high-spatial resolution Digital elevation model (DEM) that provides accurate 4-d (space and time) structural information over area of interest is required to compute such changes. In production, two or more DEMs that cover the same area are used to monitor topographic changes of area.
In 2004, Landry's Restaurants, Inc. won the bid for a 15-year lease to manage and operate the property for its owner, the City of San Antonio. Landry's undertook an extensive $8 million renovation of the existing restaurant and lounge and observation deck and added a 4-D film "ride" called "Skies Over Texas," that gives the history of Texas in a film format. For example, Stuff appears as an instantaneous transfer FTL engine to a stranded inter-stellar ship, and transforms into a weapon needed by a scientist to defend himself against torture.Robson, Justina (2003). Natural History Physical contact with Stuff can bleed one's intellect into Unity, normally transferring consciousness into 7-D after several uses unless Unity agrees otherwise.
One of the attractions at Vulcania is the 4-D film The Awakening of the Auvergne Giants. In 2008 Vulcania opened four new attractions, including the Volcanbul, a GPS-driven robot that gives tours of the area around Vulcania. To quote from the Vulcania Web site "VolcanBul Eco-friendly and innovating the VolcanBul is an electric vehicle guided by GPS." It was specifically implemented to improve the rate of revisits and encourage visitors to spend an entire day exploring the different areas, rather than half-day as is usually the case for museums.

A later visit by William Alnwick, Bishop of Lincoln, in 1440, reveals the number of nuns had fallen to eight, and that the priory's income had fallen, pushing the nuns £50 into debt. The Valor Ecclesiasticus of 1535 lists the priory as having an income of £29. 7s. 4½d. In June 1536 the priory is recorded as being home to six nuns and the prioress.
Improved weather information is essential for NextGen to recognize some of its most important benefits. However, the challenge for the JPDO has been to organize the weather research, dissemination, and forecasting work of several different agencies into a cohesive national aviation weather strategy. Farquaad was apparently not well-liked in Duloc; when he is eaten, the citizens laugh and cheer. Farquaad returns as a ghost in the Shrek 4-D theater attraction at Universal Parks, which later aired on Nickelodeon, in which he attempts to murder Shrek and Donkey and kidnap and kill Fiona so she can be his ghost queen. Fiona is rescued when Farquaad is destroyed by the Dragon again. Alan Rickman was originally offered for the role, but he turned it down to play Severus Snape in the Harry Potter film saga instead.

Stage 54 was an attraction which opened at the park in 1997, replacing the MCA Recording Studio. The attraction was located within soundstage 54 of Universal Studios Florida. Throughout the years, the attraction was constantly updated to feature displays and props from Universal Pictures films of the time including The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Babe, Babe: Pig in the City, Small Soldiers and The Mummy. On January 24, 2003, the attraction was closed and replaced with Donkey's Photo Finish, a meet and greet attraction related to the park's Shrek 4-D attraction.
Hämäläis-Osakunta owns the building Hämäläisten talo ("Tavastians' House" or loosely "Häme House") at Urho Kekkosen katu 4–8, across the street from the Kamppi Center. Simon James Smith is an English animator, director, visual effects artist and occasional voice actor best known for his work at DreamWorks Animation. The Air Zoo, founded as the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum, is an aviation museum and indoor amusement park next to the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek International Airport in Portage, Michigan. Within a short period of time, warfarin/d-CON "revolutionized the art of rodent control" by replacing manual extermination and highly toxic poisons. To increase momentum for the new product, Ratner organized a 15-day experiment in Middleton, Wisconsin, a town with a particularly bad rat problem. On November 4, d-CON was distributed throughout the community free of charge. By November 19, the town's rat problem was over with no "signs of rats in the entire area". By December, d-CON was spending $30,000 a week on coast- to-coast ads across 425 radio stations. According to company claims, d-CON was selling more rodent killer in a week than their nearest competitor sold in a year.
The character of Monica Reyes has attracted mixed reviews from critics. Gish's portrayal of the character has been described by Entertainment Weekly Ken Tucker as "ferocious yet lissome". Robert Shearman and Lars Pearson, in their book Wanting to Believe: A Critical Guide to The X-Files, Millennium & The Lone Gunmen, felt that Reyes' introduction in "This Is Not Happening" was "rather forced", finding her upbeat personality at odds with the tone of the series at that time; Shearman and Pearson also felt that the overall use of the character in season nine was "lazy", with her willingness to believe in anything compromising the tension of episodes such as "4-D" or "Hellbound".Shearman and Pearson, p.
The Corps was created by the U.S. as a government-sponsored group of superhumans to rival the more independent Justice League. Led by General Wade Eiling, the original members of the team were Flow, 4-D, Pulse 8 and Warmaker One. During a fight with the JLA, the UMC realised that Eiling was dangerously insane and that they were on the wrong side; they then sided with the League against their leader. Having developed a mistrust of governments, the Corps subsequently declared themselves independent of any and all nations and built a free-floating city in which to dwell, which they named Superbia and set in the air above the ruins of Montevideo.

She often appears as a running gag because of the convenient possibilities presented by her abilities, albeit she can serve as an effective means of protection because of these as well (such as her consumption of Farquaad towards the end of the first film, which Donkey insists in Scared Shrekless was an accident). A silent character, Dragon has no spoken lines throughout the course of the franchise, though other characters, including Donkey, are able to somewhat understand her language when she communicates through hushed roars. Dragon appears in all 4 Shrek movies and Shrek 4-D. She is notably absent from Scared Shrekless and Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular, and neither was she mentioned in the latter film.
He's later seen at Fiona and Farquaad's wedding and it is possible that he isn't really a villain, because when they kiss, he wrote "Aawww" on one of the signs that are telling people how should they react to different situations. He's also seen in the ending, at Shrek and Fiona's wedding, when he helps to play the music organ. Mar-Vell bids Jones farewell and encounters Mercurio the 4-D Man, who tricks Mar-Vell into returning to his home dimension, hoping to coerce the hero into building the Omni-Wave Projector. Mar-Vell, however, defeats Mercurio and returns to Earth. Mar-Vell continues to have dealings with the Kree, preventing scientist Doctor Minerva from killing Rick Jones and battling High Council member Phae-Dor before travelling to Hala and, with King of the Inhumans Blackagar Boltagon ("Black Bolt") as his ally, preventing the "War of the Three Galaxies" by exposing a Skrull infiltrator.

Route S4D (1938-1953) Route 303 originated as a proposed alignment of State Highway Route S-4-D, a spur of State Highway Route 4, a cross-state highway from Cape May to Paterson. The route was assigned in 1938, proposed to follow a highway known as the Liberty Road through the community of Teaneck. In 1941, the New Jersey State Legislature amended the proposal to include a highway known as the Liberty Road from Route 4 to New York State Route 303 (designated in 1930Automobile Legal Association (ALA) Automobile Green Book, 1930/31 and 1931/32 editions, (Scarborough Motor Guide Co., Boston, 1930 and 1931). The 1930/31 edition shows New York state routes prior to the 1930 renumbering) at Northvale.
Laura tries to use her access to the higher dimension to impress Pete, a popular boy she wants to accompany to the school dance, but after she seems to disappear into thin air and unlock a door from the other side, Pete realizes something strange has occurred, and she feels pressured to show him the truth, without Omar's knowledge. When she brings Pete into four-space, they lose their way and end up as the captives of four-dimensional creatures. Unfortunately, she determines that escaping might threaten the very existence of her own world by making the powerful 4-D creatures aware of it. With Omar's help, she finds a safe way out and learns the truth about how he came to know about other dimensions.
A "4-D" film theater using SimEx-Iwerks technology, 3,000-square-foot arcade, golf course, multi-level basketball court and family game shows are held at the hotel, and "Nick After Dark" event locations were also previously held at the hotel. The resort formerly contained a mall with a Nickelodeon-brand retail shop and a buffet known as the "Nicktoons Café," among other restaurants. Near the entrance of the resort was a time capsule formerly buried outside the former Nickelodeon Studios complex at nearby Universal Studios Florida. Nickelodeon Suites Resort was named one of the AAA's top ten family vacation spots in 2010, and in 2011, the hotel became the first to receive the AHLEI's Certified Guest Service Property Designation.

Hydrolysis of the phenolic amide, by reaction with carbonyl diimidazole (CDI), followed by the addition of aqueous hydrochloric acid gave the acid 10 which was converted to the amide Epelsiban 11 by activating the acid with the peptide coupling reagent CDI, followed by the addition of morpholine.
Music for Mallet Instruments, Voices and Organ is a 1973 composition by American composer Steve Reich. The piece is scored for glockenspiels, marimbas, metallophone (vibraphone without resonators), women's voices, and organ, and runs about 17 minutes. The piece is in four sections, played without a break, marked off by changes in key and meter: 1) F dorian, in 3/4 time; 2) A flat dorian, in 2/4; 3) B flat minor, in 3/4; and 4) D flat, in 3/4. The piece features two interrelated musical processes: the building up of a duplicate of a preexisting pattern played by the marimbas and the glockenspiels, and the augmenting (lengthening of the duration of notes) of repeated chord cadences of the women's voices and organ.
Roach floats weightlessly on a parabolic flight while researching Packing For Mars While Roach has a wide variety of interests, she has also been willing to become a part of her research when the subject calls for it. Roach volunteered herself and her husband in an ultrasound coital imaging experiment to study the effects of cuddling. While researching material for her book Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex, Roach came across Dr. Jing Deng, a University College London Medical School senior lecturer in medical physics. Dr. Deng was experimenting with 4-D ultrasound imaging and was in need of test subjects to engage in sexual intercourse while wearing the ultrasound equipment so that real-time images could be captured.

It decided to affiliate to the International Trade Union Committee of Negro Workers and the South African Trades and Labour Council. As Africans could not rent premises in towns it operated from the premises of the Cape Town Stevedoring Workers Union at 57 Plein Street, which was rented in the name of White members of the South African Communist Party. The Union submitted grievances to the management of the South African Railways and Harbours Administration, but were not allowed to negotiate. In 1937 Ray Alexander produced a pamphlet for the union called "We Want to Live". It pointed out that the Cape Town City Council paid its labourers 6/8d a day but railway workers were only paid 3/6d or 4/-d a day.
Agfa had manufactured colour photographic glass plates since 1916; unlike the rival Autochrome process (which was launched in 1907) which used grains of potato starch, dyed in the three primary colours, to form the colour screen (or reseau), Agfa used an emulsion in which were suspended particles of resin dyed in primary colours (Kornraster). In the original Louisiana Highway system in use between 1921 and 1955, the modern LA 72 was originally designated as part of State Route 4, which followed the Dixie Overland Highway, an early auto trail, through northern Louisiana. In 1926, it became part of the original route of US 80, which duplicated Route 4 east of Shreveport. The Barksdale Boulevard segment also carried US 71, which shared a bridge across the Red River with US 80. (Now demolished, the Traffic Street Bridge existed at the location of the current I-20 crossing.) Pectin methyl-esterases (PMEs) remove methyl groups arising from the enzyme which polymerizes pectins (methyl esterified α- (1–4) D-galacturonic acid polymer) resulting in a de-esterified pectin polymer. WAKs bind more readily to de-esterified pectins due to their more negative charge. This suggestion that charge is responsible for the preferable binding of WAKs to de-esterified pectins (negatively charged) was shown in a mutation in cationic residues in a WAK1 gene to neutral residues which resulted to the loss of binding properties to the de-esterified pectins. This role of charge in binding is further proved through a substitution of arginine residues for glutamine and lysine for threonines within the ECM that showing a reduced binding to the de-esterified pectin.

Only at Schuler Farm, where the supporting tanks were bogged down and the attacking platoon was almost wiped out, did the attack fail. The TDA/AET seats were used at Thorpe Park. Besides the water cannons noted above, the in-house effects included a "bird droppings" effect, consisting of a burst of warm water sprayed on the audience from the ceiling when the birds are released on the pirates, a large smoke ring effect, discharged over the audience when the ship's cannon is shot toward the camera, and a glittering gold lighting effect around the proscenium when Lucky's treasure is revealed. The audio for Pirates 4-D was usually stored on an outboard device, and synchronized to the film. The early SeaWorld/Busch Gardens venues used an 8 channel Tascam DA-88 Digital Audio Tape (DAT) deck, while the Thorpe Park installation used a 12 channel Alcorn McBride Digital Binloop.
Volatile weather conditions in Europe's North Sea have made drilling particularly hazardous, claiming many lives (see Oil platform). The conditions also make extraction a costly process; by the 1980s, costs for developing new methods and technologies to make the process both efficient and safe, far exceeded NASA's budget to land a man on the moon. The exploration of the North Sea has been a story of continually pushing the edges of the technology of exploitation (in terms of what can be produced) and later the technologies of discovery and evaluation (2-D seismic, followed by 3-D and 4-D seismic; sub- salt seismic; immersive display and analysis suites and supercomputing to handle the flood of computation required). The Gullfaks oil field was discovered in 1978.
Binary notation had not yet been standardized, so Napier used what he called location numerals to represent binary numbers. Since the mixed symmetric field strength of the dual gravity is comparable to the totally symmetric extrinsic curvature tensor of the Galileons theory, the effective Lagrangian of the dual model in 4-D can be obtained from the Faddeev–LeVerrier recursion, which is similar to that of Galileon theory up to the terms containing polynomials of the trace of the field strength. This is also manifested in the dual formulation of Galileon theory. The fact that general relativity is modified at large distances in massive gravity provides a possible explanation for the accelerated expansion of the Universe that does not require any dark energy. Massive gravity and its extensions, such as bimetric gravity, can yield cosmological solutions which do in fact display late-time acceleration in agreement with observations.
The exact reason for these problems was unclear and a variety of possible causes were suggested. This meant the cancellation of all experiments requiring the use of the thrusters and the crew were not able to get them operating again. Gordon Cooper being hoisted into the recovery helicopter Seventeen experiments were planned, with one cancelled, as it involved photography of the REP. Experiment D-1 involved the crew photographing celestial objects, and D-6 was a ground photography experiment. Experiments D-4/D-7 involved making brightness measurements of celestial and terrestrial backgrounds and of rocket plumes. Experiments S-8/D-13 investigated whether the crew's eyesight changed during the mission. All of the medical experiments from Gemini 4 were performed, as well as experiment M-1 into the performance of the heart.
George was now serving in President Richard Nixon's cabinet as United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. In a June 1970 newspaper profile of children of cabinet members, Mitt said that U.S. involvement in the war had been misguided – "If it wasn't a political blunder to move into Vietnam, I don't know what is" – but supported Nixon's ongoing Cambodian Incursion as a sincere attempt to bring the war to a conclusion. During the U.S. military draft for the Vietnam War, Romney sought and received two 2-S student deferments, then a 4-D ministerial deferment while living in France as a missionary. He later sought and received two additional student deferments. When those ran out, the result of the December 1969 draft lottery where he drew number 300 ensured he would not be drafted.
Following NBCUniversal's purchase of DreamWorks Animation for $3.8 billion in 2016, it sought to leverage its newly acquired intellectual properties. On June 5, 2017, Universal Studios Hollywood announced the new DreamWorks Theatre attraction would open in 2018 based on characters featured in DreamWorks Animation films, which replaced the Shrek 4-D attraction on August 13. NBCUniversal issued a press release regarding the DreamWorks Theatre attraction: The attraction preshow features a variety of DreamWorks characters, including Shrek, Donkey, Gingy, and the Magic Mirror from Shrek, as well as characters from Trolls, and Madagascar. The theater uses projection mapping on the interior walls of the theater, using a total of seven Christie 4K Boxer Cinema Projectors, surround sound audio, and physical effects such as water, wind, and articulating seats that pivot and tilt.
