During his time as a student he also worked as a freelance reporter for NRC Handelsblad. From 1987 to 1989 he completed a traineeship and a year as a researcher at Philips Research Laboratories.

Hald International Center () is a vocational school offering courses in cross- cultural understanding and international work. The school is owned by the Strømme Foundation, the Norwegian Missionary Society, and the Norwegian Christian Student and School Association, which each have their own exchange program. The academic program is a mix of theory and practice in which all of the students spend six to seven months of student traineeship in another culture. The school has about 40 Norwegian students and 20 students from abroad.

The company was accused of failing to pay overtime, underpaying staff and misusing its traineeship program as a method to reduce workers' pay, dating back to 2014 and involving all stores in South Australia. OTR allegedly used eight different wage minimisation tactics that enabled gross underpayment of its staff. In March 2020, the Federal Court had upheld a separate decision by South Australia's Employment Tribunal to award to an OTR employee who had been underpaid. There has been opposition by local residents to a planned OTR outlet on Kensington Road in Kensington Park, and to the expansion of the Peregrine headquarters building in Kensington to a height of seven storeys with a helipad on top of the building.

She returned to Paris to complete her studies, after which she took a traineeship in a second hand bookshop in the Rue Gay-Lussac. Her success there encouraged her to set up a bookshop specialising in French books back home in Poland, an independent Polish state was re-emerging for the first time since 1795. French culture and literature were respected and widely studied in Poland, especially in the south of the country, and she selected Krakow as an ideal location for a specialist French bookshop. Vietnamese migration to South Korea began later, but quickly grew to a much larger scale; their population consists mainly of migrant workers and women introduced to local husbands through marriage agencies. In 1994, 20,493 labour migrants went from Vietnam to South Korea on traineeship visas; by 1997, this had risen by about 10% to 22,325. Migrants were mostly male and untrained; they were employed in small and medium-sized companies in labour-intensive industries such as fishing and manufacturing. Spousal migration has a darker history: during the Vietnam War, some of the more than 300,000 South Korean soldiers and civilian support staff stationed in Vietnam seized Vietnamese women and brought them back to Korea.

After leaving his Berlin middle school Karl Anders (as he later became known) worked as a furniture upholsterer and undertook a traineeship as a Landscape gardener. He also attended evening classes in 1929-31 and which led the belated but successful completion of the School final exams with which, given a more academic focus and less political distraction during his teenage years, he would have concluded his secondary schooling. He joined the German Communist Party in 1929 and quickly assumed leadership roles within the party, becoming in the same year General Secretary of the "World Youth League". Between 1929 and 1931 he also served on the board of the Socialist Students' League.

A midfielder, he made his Torquay debut whilst still a trainee, coming on as a late substitute for Kevin Hill in a 4–0 win at home against Halifax Town on 6 March 1999. As contract workers returned home to Vietnam from the countries of the former Eastern Bloc, which by then had begun their transition away from Communism, they began to look for other foreign destinations in which they could earn good incomes, and Japan proved attractive due to its nearby location and high standard of living. By the end of 1994, the annual number of Vietnamese workers going to Japan totalled 14,305 individuals, mostly under industrial traineeship visas. In contrast to other labour-exporting countries in Southeast Asia, the vast majority of migrants were men, due to the Vietnamese government's restrictions on migration for work in traditionally female- dominated fields such as domestic work or entertainment.

Thomas was born in Port Augusta in 1976, of Aboriginal, Scottish and Irish heritage. He is a Nukunu man, born on Nukunu land in the Southern Flinders Ranges and raised within the Nukunu culture. He was inspired by seeing the play Funerals and Circuses by Arrernte playwright Roger Bennett when on a school excursion to the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 1992 and decided to study the humanities and writing. After excelling in his undergraduate BA degree at the University of Adelaide, he worked for the Fringe for a while before gaining a traineeship to work as an editor of a publication at the Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute, where he developed a love of visual arts.

Tolksdorf was born in Gelsenkirchen on 14 November 1948. After getting the Abitur in Wiesbaden in June 1967 he became a police officer in North Rhine-Westphalia until 1970 before he started studying law at the University of Bonn between 1969 and 1974. After that he had his judicial traineeship, the so-called “Referendariat” at the Higher Regional Court of Cologne (“Landgericht”). It began in 1975 and ended in 1978. Following his second German state exam in law in Düsseldorf 1978 he became a judge in civil and criminal law at the regional court of Bonn until 1979. Between 1979 and 1982 he was a lecturer in law at the institute for criminal law of the University of Münster.

Gerstner was marked out for advancement soon after his arrival at Paris trade mission, partly on account of his excellent mastery of the language: the fact that during this time his father became the German ambassador to Brazil may also have counted in Gerstner's favour with German diplomatic staff in Paris. After a few weeks he was offered a permanent position at the newly expanded trade mission, and his status as an "articled law clerk" was apparently suspended or overlooked. In August 1939 all the trade mission staff in Paris were returned to Berlin where Gerstner pursued his legal traineeship, employed as a "Gerichtsassessor" (loosely: "trainee judge"). Gerstner stayed in Germany for around six months.

Ravenscroft began his career as a youth at Brentford and signed trainee forms prior to the beginning of the 1991–92 season. He signed a short-term contract after completing his traineeship at the end of the 1992–93 season. After signing a longer contract, Ravenscroft scored his first senior goal on 27 November 1993 in a 3–1 Second Division away win over Huddersfield Town and made 9 appearances during the 1993–94 season. It was here that he came to the attention of Ferdinand von Hansemann (1861-1900), a young lawyer who would later come to wider prominence for his shrill anti-Polish nationalism. The lawyer came from an exceptionally well connected family: the most relevant of those connections for Urbig's future career was his father, the entrepreneur-banker Adolph von Hansemann (1826-1903) who had been chief executive officer ("Geschäftsführer"), since the death of his father in 1864, of the Disconto-Gesellschaft, at that time an aggressively expansionist bank with extensive interests abroad, notably in Southeast Asia. Based on his son's recommendations, Adolph von Hansemann accepted Urbig's application for a traineeship, which commenced on 15 July 1884.

She was born in New York State, received a BA from Tufts University, a Masters of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD from the University of California, San Francisco. After receiving her doctoral degree in 1995, Moore was a fellow in the National Institutes of Mental Health, Traineeship in AIDS Prevention Sciences at the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies, the largest research center in the world dedicated to social, behavioral and policy science approaches to HIV. She lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn with her three daughters.

Shibutani received her training in professional wrestling at the dojo of the JDStar promotion, being part of the last batch of women to go through the promotion's "Athtress" program, which aimed at building physically attractive women into not only professional wrestlers, but also mainstream celebrities. Georg Gottlob Ungewitter was born in Wanfried, a small town east of Kassel. His father, Johann Martin Justus Ungewitter (1785-1837) was in business and the boy was initially destined for a business career, but his interest in buildings and construction manifested itself early on, and he commenced training to become an architect when aged 14: he attended the Building Academy there, and then relocated to Munich in 1837. He returned to Kassel in 1840 and embarked upon a traineeship, but left at his own request two years later to pursue his studies, briefly, in Berlin. During the middle 1840s he worked for six years in Hamburg where the Great Fire of 1842 had left plenty of work for architects, before moving to Lübeck.

Alexander was born in Middlesbrough, and despite receiving offers of a traineeship from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley, began his football career in the youth system of Darlington in June 2002. He was included among the substitutes for the Division Three match against Carlisle United on 27 August, chosen in preference to the injured Danny Mellanby and the out-of-form Mark Sheeran, but remained unused. The 16-year- old Alexander was given his debut the following Saturday, as a second-half substitute in the visit to Kidderminster Harriers. Graham Fitzpatrick was raised in the Edinburgh's Royston housing scheme, attending Ainslie Park High School and Broughton High School His YTS traineeship at film workshop Pilton Video offered a basic grounding in film, documentary and drama, working across over sixty productions, including arts and charity films, short films, TV documentaries, mainly as an editor. After directing several short films with Scottish Screen and BBC Scotland funding, Fitzpatrick studied screenwriting at Screen Academy Scotland developing the script for his first short film as writer and director. Rauchfuß was born into a working-class family in a western quarter of Chemnitz, part of the industrial belt in the southern part of what then counted as central Germany. He completed his secondary schooling in 1946 and embarked on a three-year traineeship as a mechanic. Also in 1946 he joined the newly formed Free German Youth (FDJ / Freie Deutsche Jugend) in which he progressed so that by 1949/50 he had become a full-time FDJ instructor with the organisation's regional leadership in Berlin. After the war had ended in May 1945 Chemnitz had found itself in the Soviet occupation zone of what remained of Germany and in October 1949 the entire area under Soviet administration became a new stand-alone state, the German Democratic Republic.

Henri James Simon was born in Berlin, the son of a well-off Jewish cotton merchant. He attended the Berlinisches Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster and received a six-month traineeship at Bradford, then a centre of textile manufacture, before he became a partner with his father in 1876. Though a reserved man, he played an influential role in the German society, especially by his participation at a regular roundtable with Emperor Wilhelm II. Simon and other invitees like Albert Ballin and Carl Fürstenberg as well as Emil and Walther Rathenau discussed economic life and tried to give the emperor an understanding of a Jewish perspective on social issues. Their close relationship with the erratic ruler was criticized by Zionist contemporaries and they were later mocked as the "Emperor's Jews" (Kaiserjuden) by Chaim Weizmann.

Antoni Folkers was born on 5 June 1960 in Delft, Netherlands. He commenced his education in Art and Art History at John Carroll University, Cleveland United States and Utrecht University in 1979. Folkers went on to study architecture and urban planning at TU Delft. During his years at the university, Folkers worked as a trainee at the office of the German architect Georg Lippsmeier – founder and owner of the L+P architects and the Institute for Tropical Building. An important turning-point in his early career as an architect and urban planner was his traineeship during the years 1984-1985 at the Direction Générale de l’Urbanisme et de la Topographie in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso where he participated, among others, in the Wagadogo-Nossin District redevelopment and re-settlement project under the guidance of the Dutch urban planner Coen Beeker.

Otto Franke was born in Rixdorf, as it was known before 1912, then a town just outside Berlin on it north eastern side. He attended elementary school between 1891 and 1894, and then embarked on a traineeship as a Machine Maker. At the same time he attended evening and weekend courses covering a range of subjects. Meanwhile, in 1892 he joined the Social Democratic Party (SPD / Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands) and the newly formed German Metal Workers' Union. He was one of the founder members of the "German Transport Workers' League" in 1898, becoming a regional leader for Berlin in 1901 and, from 1903, General Secretary for Greater Berlin of the "German Trade, Transport and Traffic Workers' League", of which by 1907 he had become a full-time official. In 1907 he became a full-time official of the German Transport Workers' Union.

Peter Robert Keil was born to an artist blacksmith father whom he lost very early in his childhood during World War II. During the end phase of the war, Keil's mother, also an artistically talented woman, took her son and struggled her way to West Berlin where they settled. Edinburgh School of Law The Diploma in Legal Practice (from its introduction in 1980 until 2012/13) or Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (from 2012/13) is a Scottish postgraduate qualification required in order to practise law in Scotland, as either a solicitor or an advocate. It is undertaken after completing undergraduate study and before commencing a traineeship. The course is intended to provide students with the more practical skills they will require after academic study, comprising compulsory modules in conveyancing, civil court practice, criminal court practice, private client, financial services and related skills, accountancy and professional responsibility, with a choice of either company and commercial or public administration. Until the start of the 2012/13 academic year, the Diploma attracted a quota of funded places from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS), set at three hundred.

UCAS has launched UCAS Progress, a service enabling GCSE students to search and apply for post-16 work and education-based training courses – including academic and vocational courses (such as A levels and BTECs), as well as Apprenticeship and Traineeship programmes. The scheme is free for students to use and is implemented as a national service – listing post-16 opportunities from all across the UK. UCAS Progress also helps schools, colleges and local authorities address recruitment issues and statutory obligations resulting from raising the age of participation in secondary education; an initiative which legally obliges students to remain in full-time education or work-based training until the end of the academic year that they turn 17. However this is about to change after government reforms; when students will be required to remain in education or training until their 18th birthday.

Johann- Konrad (1764–1841), or Jean-Conrad in its French version, was Johann-Rudolf Hottinger's second son, and the one who would definitively establish the family as a financial dynasty. Like many sons of wealthy Zurich families, he was sent to Mulhouse in 1779 for a traineeship with a cotton factory. But Jean-Conrad was less interested in cotton trading, silk printing or smelting than in impressing the economist M. Wolf, with whom he resided, with his aptitude for drawing and mathematics. As he became more and more interested in finance, Jean-Conrad eventually answered the call of his uncle Johann Heinrich Hottinger to join him in Geneva in 1783. Home to many Protestant banking firms, Geneva was certainly better suited to Jean-Conrad Hottinger’s aspirations. Thanks to his uncle’s connections, Jean-Conrad was able to train as a banker with Passavant, de Candolle, Bertrand & Cie.

Iranians in Japan reside mostly in the Greater Tokyo Area; 79% of legal Iranian residents are registered in the Kantō region, with 1,464 in Tokyo itself, 798 in Kanagawa, 740 in Chiba, 701 in Saitama, 472 in Ibaraki, 387 in Gunma, and 352 in Tochigi. A further 6% can be found in the Chūkyō Metropolitan Area, with 255 in Aichi, 72 in Mie, and 62 in Gifu; the others are scattered throughout the rest of the country in small numbers. 2,191 hold permanent residency visas, 195 are international students, and 2,858 hold short-term traineeship or employment visas, while the remainder of legal residents hold other kinds of visas. Iranians used to form Japan's largest population of illegal immigrants, with an estimated peak of 32,994 individuals in 1992 (based on cumulative analysis of entrance statistics), but due to aggressive deportations, that number fell by over 82% to just 5,821 in 2000.

Márkus soon continued his career as a journalist. He was an author of the progressive Reform daily newspaper, before joining as a columnist responsible for Budapest affairs to the Nemzeti Hírlap, edited by István Toldy, in 1873. In that capacity, Márkus began increasingly interested in politics and administration of Budapest. Due to the encouragement of his uncle, he took a draftsman traineeship at the Budapest City Hall in 1875. After a few months, he was appointed assistant clerk by Mayor Károly Kamermayer in 1876, thus Márkus became a direct employee to the mayor. In 1879, he was appointed notary at the city council's meetings. He played a major role in the establishment of the Elevator House and several other warehouses in the early 1880s, as a result he was awarded the Crowned Gold Cross of Merit by King Francis Joseph in 1884. Following this success, he was promoted to Chief Notary of Budapest on 1 April 1885.

At the end of a turbulent year he was able to start a new traineeship, as a care assistant at the city hospital in Jena. In June 1973 Kretschmer, still aged only 17, attempted to escape from East Germany, "in order to avoid military service" ("um sich dem Wehrdienst zu entziehen"). Human losses during World War II, exacerbated by a steady stream of migration to the west during the 1950s, had left the country desperately short of working age population, and after 1961 there were effective measures in place to prohibit and prevent emigration. Kretschmer hitchhiked via Dresden to the border with Czechoslovakia which he was able to cross, and continued on his way towards Austria. However, 500 meters short of the border dividing Czechoslovakia from Austria he was caught by Czechoslovak soldiers, blindfolded, placed on the back seat of a jeep like vehicle next to a large dog whose noisy panting and odour he would remember long afterwards, and returned to the German Democratic Republic.

The NSF's FY2008 appropriation is set at $6.6 billion by this Act, and the appropriation grows to $8.132 billion in FY2010. Gröning left school with high marks and began a traineeship as a bank clerk when he was 17, but war was declared shortly after he started employment and eight of the twenty clerks present were immediately conscripted into the army. This allowed the remaining trainees to further their banking careers in a relatively short time; however, despite these opportunities, Gröning and his colleagues were inspired by Germany's quick victories in France and Poland and wanted to contribute.

Hans Godo Frabel is one of the first lampwork glass artists in the world. After living in several different cities, Frabel began to look at glass as a means to a career at the age of 15. Ulrike Müßig studied law at the University of Würzburg (DE) and Cambridge (GB) as well as at the University Paris II, Pantheon-Assas (FR) as a visiting student. She was promoted by the scholarship program for highly gifted students of the Bavarian Hundhammerstiftung, the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes) and the study abroad scholarship of the DAAD. After the First State Examination in 1993, she received the doctoral scholarship of the Studienstiftung at the Institute for Comparative Law at the University of Würzburg and at the Max-Planck-Institute for foreign and international private law at Hamburg until she was awarded her doctorate in 1995 for submitting the thesis Der Bestandsschutz besitzloser Mobiliarsicherheiten im deutschen und englischen Recht (Unauthorized Dispositions of Assets serving as Security, Comparative Aspects of Non-possessory Security Rights over Movables in English and German Law). Having carried out her traineeship for her Assesorexamen in Würzburg, Brussels and Paris, she became postdoctoral scholar at the Institute for Bavarian and German Legal History at the University of Würzburg under Professor Dietmar Willoweit from 1996 to 1999.
