What is now Southampton was originally incorporated as Coaxen Township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 10, 1845, from portions of Northampton Township (now known as Mount Holly Township). The name lasted for about three weeks when it was renamed Southampton Township on April 1, 1845. As the population increased, portions of the township were taken to form Pemberton Township (March 10, 1846), Shamong Township (February 19, 1852), Lumberton Township (March 14, 1860), Woodland Township (March 7, 1866) and Tabernacle Township (March 22, 1901).

Catawissa Township is the oldest municipality in Columbia County. It was first formed in 1785 from parts of Augusta Township. When first formed, Catawissa Township stretched from Montour County in the west to western Schuylkill County in the east. The creations of Roaring Creek Township, Franklin Township, and Main Township in 1832, 1843, and 1844 respectively, reduced the size of Catawissa Township significantly.

Penn's Neck Township was a township that existed in Salem County, New Jersey, United States, from 1701 until 1721. Penn's Neck Township was first mentioned on May 12, 1701. It had originally existed as West Fenwick Township, which was first mentioned in a deed on August 30, 1676, though the details of its incorporation are unknown. The township was subdivided and dissolved as of July 10, 1721, with the formation of Upper Penns Neck Township (now Carneys Point Township) and Lower Penns Neck Township (now Pennsville Township).

The township was administered by Dover township and was part of Cuyahoga County. In 1818, Township Number 7 was organized and named "Xeuma", then later renamed "Troy Township". In 1824, Lorain County was created, and the name of Troy Township was changed to Avon Township. An Avon post office was established in 1825.
Franklin Township, named for Benjamin Franklin, was formed from part of Moreland Township in 1822. It included what is now Jordan Township until that was formed thirty-two years later. Another portion of Franklin Township was cut away in 1828 to form Penn Township. The earliest settlers to Franklin Township were farmers.
The City of Burton was organized as Burton Township, in 1855. Burton Township had first been a part of Flint Township. The North part of Burton was part of Kearsley Township along with the Southern part of Genesee Township from 1839 until 1843 when the township was merged back (for school purposes) into Flint Township. When the City of Flint incorporated, Burton Township was separated from Flint Township by the Genesee County Board of Supervisors on October 12, 1855, although the first township meeting did not take place until April 7, 1856, which is sometimes taken as the actual date of organization.
Olive Township is to the west, Robinson Township to the northwest, Allendale Charter Township to the north, Georgetown Township to the east, Jamestown Charter Township to the southeast, Zeeland Charter Township to the south, and Holland Charter Township to the southwest. No major roads pass through the township, although Interstate 196 passes just south of the township. The city of Hudsonville is just southeast of the township, while the cities of Zeeland and Holland are just a short distance to the southwest. Grand Rapids is about 15 miles to the east and Grand Haven is 20 miles to the northwest.
The Driscoll Expressway, if it had been built, would have begun at an interchange with the Garden State Parkway near County Route 530 in Berkeley Township, Ocean County. From here, it would continue northwest through Ocean County, passing through Toms River Township (formerly Dover Township), Lakewood, and Jackson Township. The highway was to continue into Monmouth County and head northwest through Freehold Township and Manalapan Township. The Driscoll Expressway would cross into Middlesex County and pass through Old Bridge Township (formerly Madison Township), Monroe Township, Helmetta, and East Brunswick Township before heading into South Brunswick and ending at the New Jersey Turnpike.

Fawn Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,376 at the 2010 census. The township derives its name either directly after Fahan, County Donegal, Ireland, by Irish settlers of which 'fawn' is the phonetic pronunciation, or indirectly from the York County township of that name with name origin. According to the township itself, Fawn Township derived its name from its parent township, Deer Township, from which it was formed 28 March 1858.

Hkamti Township is situated in Hkamti District in the Sagaing Region of northwestern Burma. The township is bordered by Nanyun Township to the north, Lahe Township to the northwest, Lay Shi Township to the southwest, Homalin Township to the south, and borders the Kachin State townships of Tanai Township to the northeast and Hpakan Township to the east and southeast. The township is dominated by the Chindwin River and areas of thick forest. The Nam Tonhtun flows into the Chindwin to the southeast of Hkamti Town after meandering around the village of Aung Myay.

It is bordered to the north by Connoquenessing Township and the borough of Connoquenessing, at its northeast corner by Butler Township, to the east by Penn Township, at its southeast corner by Middlesex Township, to the south by Adams Township and the borough of Callery, at its southwest corner by Cranberry Township, to the west by Jackson Township and the borough of Evans City, and at its northwest corner by Lancaster Township. The unincorporated communities of Wahlville and Watters are in the township. Orwell Township is located in eastern Bradford County and is bordered by Windham Township to the north, Warren Township to the north and east, Pike Township to the east, Herrick Township to the south, Wysox Township to the southwest, and Rome Township to the west. Orwell Township includes the unincorporated communities of Orwell, North Orwell, Potterville, and Wells Hollow. Pennsylvania Route 187 passes through the northwest part of the township following the valley of Wysox Creek, and Pennsylvania Route 467 passes east–west through the southern part of the township. Consequently, Anderson Road cannot be accessed internally through Bethlehem Township; it can only be accessed through Union Township.
