In the 1870s, an early historian of Woodford County wrote: > There were a few Indians in the county at the time of settlement by the > whites, but the two races did not come into conflict to any extent. The > advancing wave of civilization seemed to follow up the retreating wave of > barbarism. The first settlers encountered a few Indians...and in 1832 were > involved to some extent in the Black Hawk War, but the active operations > were further north than Woodford County. The current boundaries of the county were not those originally drawn; moreover, the names of various counties in the region changed frequently The Eastern portion of Woodford County was known as Edwards (1814–16), Crawford (1816–19), Clark (1819–21), and Fayette (1821-25) Counties, while the Western part of today's county was included in Madison (1814–17), Bond (1817–21), and Sangamon (1821–25) Counties. In 1827 new lines were drawn and Tazewell County was established, including all of today's Woodford County.

The Congress party sensed that its strategy was failing to garner enough support from the common Assamese masses who still emotionally identified themselves with the Assam Movement and were ready to go to any extent to make their Xunor Axom free from illegal Muslim migrants. Anwara Taimur’s government was losing credibility and President’s Rule was re-imposed again. Taimur was soon replaced by Keshab Gogoi as the Chief Minister. Nevertheless, by choosing a Muslim to guard the reins of its power in the state, the Congress Party cleverly mastered the art of playing the communal card and projecting itself as the messiah of the Bengali-speaking Muslim immigrants. During the 1983 Assam assembly elections which were marred by some of the worst-ever communal violence in the political history of the state from Nellie to Khoirabari and Silapathar, Arun Shourie had lamented, “The electoral strategy of the party [Congress] was the familiar one: isolate the largest group; gather together the other groups; foment insecurity in them; and then present yourself as the only available protector.” Fast forward to 2011, the Census data revealed a steep rise in the migrant population in nine border districts of Assam.

In his introductory discussion of a moving earth, Kepler addressed the question of how the Earth could hold its parts together if it moved away from the center of the universe which, according to Aristotelian physics, was the place toward which all heavy bodies naturally moved. Kepler proposed an attractive force similar to magnetism, which may have been known by Newton. > Gravity is a mutual corporeal disposition among kindred bodies to unite or > join together; thus the earth attracts a stone much more than the stone > seeks the earth. (The magnetic faculty is another example of this sort).... > If two stones were set near one another in some place in the world outside > the sphere of influence of a third kindred body, these stones, like two > magnetic bodies, would come together in an intermediate place, each > approaching the other by a space proportional to the bulk [moles] of the > other.... For it follows that if the earth's power of attraction will be > much more likely to extend to the moon and far beyond, and accordingly, that > nothing that consists to any extent whatever of terrestrial material, > carried up on high, ever escapes the grasp of this mighty power of > attraction.

Data privacy is not highly legislated or regulated in the U.S. In the United States, access to private data contained in, for example, third-party credit reports may be sought when seeking employment or medical care, or making automobile, housing, or other purchases on credit terms. Although partial regulations exist, there is no all-encompassing law regulating the acquisition, storage, or use of personal data in the U.S. In general terms, in the U.S., whoever can be troubled to key in the data, is deemed to own the right to store and use it, even if the data was collected without permission, except to any extent regulated by laws and rules such as the federal Communications Act's provisions, and implementing rules from the Federal Communications Commission, regulating use of customer proprietary network information (CPNI). For instance, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACTA), are all examples of U.S. federal laws with provisions which tend to promote information flow efficiencies. The Supreme Court interpreted the Constitution to grant a right of privacy to individuals in Griswold v. Connecticut.
