When it was announced that his conviction was quashed, contemporary newspaper reports indicate that Woolmington simply stood there stupefied, unable to understand what was happening. It was only when it was repeated to him for the third time that his conviction had been quashed that he appeared to understand that he had been reprieved. After he recovered from his ordeal Woolmington moved to Jersey where he had worked picking potatoes. One source records that he then lived in "quiet obscurity".

Despite Itty actually performing better than Atom Ant and listening to the League members' instructions during each test, the Justice League offers the role to Atom Ant. Before he accepts, Atom Ant sees Itty disappointed, and declines. The League then offers the role to Itty, but Itty also declines. Atom Ant and Itty decide to team up and be a superhero duo together, while the Justice League is stupefied that an ant and a plant both declined membership to the Justice League.

The Super Smash Bros. in August 2010 In 2007 the team started competing in Chikara. Uno and Stupefied, now competing as Player Dos and naming their team the Super Smash Brothers, won the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas from Incoherence (Delirious and Hallowicked) at Laying in the Gutters, Looking at the Stars on September 21, 2008. The team only held the titles for a month before losing it to The Osirian Portal, the team of Amasis and Ophidian, at Global Gauntlet: Night 2.

In 2007, Player Uno and Stupefied, later competing as Player Dos, made their debut in Chikara as Super Smash Brothers. On September 21, 2008, at Laying in the Gutter, Looking at the Stars, they defeated Incoherence (Delirious and Hallowicked) to win the Chikara Campeonatos de Parejas before losing it a month later to The Osirian Portal (Amasis and Ophidian). Their last match in Chikara was on October 24, 2010 in a losing effort against Bruderschaft des Kreuzes (Daizee Haze and Sara Del Rey).

After the meeting, he failed to return home or call Pang. When Pang telephoned the next day, Ono told her that Lennon was unavailable because he was exhausted after a hypnotherapy session. Two days later, Lennon reappeared at a joint dental appointment; he was stupefied and confused to such an extent that Pang believed he had been brainwashed. Prior to AEW, Uno as Player Uno and Grayson as Stupefied and Player Dos wrestled across the independent circuit. They were first formed in International Wrestling Syndicate (IWS), and are former one-time Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) World Tag Team Champions.

Burroughs, 192 They comprise a mixture of Roman legionaries, judges and various hangers-on arriving to witness the spectacle. A number are dressed in rich, brightly coloured clothes, a mixture of oriental and northern European styles, while several are mounted on horseback. Some openly jeer and taunt the condemned, others gape stupefied at "just another" execution, while others talk amongst themselves. The exception is the armoured centurion, seated on a white horse at the extreme right edge of the panel, who looks up at Christ, arms spread wide, head thrown back, at "the very moment of his illumination" in recognition of Christ's divinity.

Cole made his debut in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) on October 22, 2011, alongside regular tag team partner O'Reilly as Future Shock, unsuccessfully challenging The Young Bucks for the PWG World Tag Team Championship. Future Shock were defeated by the RockNES Monsters (Johnny Goodtime and Johnny Yuma), at Fear on December 10. On April 21, 2012, Future Shock entered the annual Dynamite Duumvirate Tag Team Title Tournament (DDT4), where they made it to the semifinals, before losing to the eventual tournament winners, Super Smash Bros. (Player Uno and Stupefied). On July 21 at PWG's ninth anniversary event, Future Shock unsuccessfully challenged the Super Smash Bros.

The events were so complex that the New York Police Department recalled 30 detectives from retirement to help investigate and were said "to know most of the gangsters." During the next month, he appeared in New York's NWA Upstate and Oshawa, Ontario's Motor City Wrestling before losing the titles back to The Hardcore Ninjaz in a 3-way match with "The Super Smash Brothers" (Player Uno and Stupefied) on April 28. They failed to regain the titles in a rematch which included "Hi-5" (Beef Wellington and Kid Kamikaze) on May 26 and again in a No Ropes Barbed Wire match on June 16 and broke up shortly after. Alois Moravec was unaware of his family's involvement with the resistance; he was taken to the Petschek Palace together with his 17-year-old son Vlastimil "Ata", who was tortured throughout the day but refused to talk. This villain is of gigantic stature and armed with a heavy mace. Jaufre vanquishes this foe, cutting a span of his sleeve, severing his arm, gashing his leg, and beheading him. But during combat, Jaufre suffers head injury from the dropping mace, and a final kick renders him unconscious. The maiden revives him by splashing water on his face, and Jaufre in his stupefied state mistakes the maiden for the enemy, strikes her a blow (with his fist) which would have proven lethal had it been his unsheathed sword in hand. Jaufre is unable to leave the lepers’ house because it is enchanted, but extracts the secret of how to break the enchantment from the underling leper, whom he catches part way in the process of killing infants.

On January 29, 1938, it was announced that Zakovsky had been transferred to Moscow as First Deputy head of the NKVD, second in command to the infamous Nikolai Yezhov. Among his first tasks was to dispose of the head of the NKVD foreign department, Abram Slutsky. Rather than have him arrested, which might have provoked foreign agents to defect, Zakovsky crept up on him while he was talking to fellow officer Mikhail Frinovsky and stupefied him with chloroform, allowing another officer to inject him with poison. Having said these words, the celestial Rishi Narada became silent. Yudhishthira griefs, shedding copious tears and Kunti consoles him.

The word Rati also gives rise to other love-related Sanskrit words like Kama-rati ("a man stupefied by desire"), rati-karman ("sexual intercourse"), rati-laksha ("sexual intercourse"), rati-bhoga ("sexual enjoyment"), rati-shakti ("virile power"), rati-jna ("skilled in the art of love"), and rati-yuddha ("a sex-battle"). The word Rati also appears in title of the Sanskrit erotic work Rati-Rahasya ("secrets of Rati") – which is said to contain the sexual secrets of the goddess – as well as in the Sanskrit names of many sex techniques and positions like Rati-pasha ("the noose of Rati"), a sex position in which the woman locks her legs behind her lover's back. Rati stands for sexual pleasure, carnal desire and sexuality. Rati represents only the pleasure aspect of sexual activity and does not relate to child-birth or motherhood.

Boogie Woogie Country Man was a return of sorts to the more "hardcore" honky-tonk country albums that Lewis had recorded in the late sixties and early seventies, although producer Jerry Kennedy retained the background singers to sweeten Jerry Lee's increasingly slurred rasp. The heavy-handed "countrypolitan" production that had drenched albums like 1972's Who's Gonna Play This Old Piano...Think About It, Darlin' and 1973's Sometimes a Memory Ain't Enough is scaled back to an extent as Lewis rocks it up on the title track and turns in typically soulful performances on "I'm Still Jealous of You" and Tom T. Hall's "Red Hot Memories (Ice Cold Beer)". Lewis flaunts his notorious hard-living reputation on another Hall tune, "I Can Still Hear the Music in the Restroom", where Lewis confesses to snorting blow before lying stupefied drunk on a washroom floor. The song, released as a single, failed to reach the top ten, and the title track fared worse, peaking at number 24.

Such an incident was averted when Rhodesia adopted an original sixteen-bar arrangement by Captain Ken MacDonald, the Rhodesian African Rifles' bandmaster. They would begin occasionally teaming with NWA Upstate colleague Brodie Lee in trios matches, often tackling The Colony, and their adventures in tag team wrestling saw even more enthralling contests with Cheech and Cloudy, including a widely praised match at the "Cibernetico and Robin" event in September 2007. Colin's signing with World Wrestling Entertainment in early 2008 forced Jimmy into full-time singles wrestling, which he proved to be rather good at, defeating the likes of Icarus and Player Uno, while taking Vin Gerard and Gran Akuma to the limit. However, a first round loss to Stupefied in the Young Lions Cup and Vin Gerard revealing where Colin had really gone caused Jimmy to turn against the fans who had grown to love him as he began to unmask several wrestlers, seemingly hunting for Colin.

The events in these novels also take place during the early 20th century, covering the 1907 peasants' revolt as well as the World War I occupation of the country. According to literary chronicler Ioan Holban, the Huzurei setting is "a desolate place, stupefied by the torpor, with squeamish people always sweaty from the heat, moving idly from one tavern to another [...] and devoting themselves to that almighty goddess that is the siesta [...]. This is only a first impression, for Huzurei is 'the living citadel' of its time [...], grouping, in between its ridiculous houses and streets, a diverse world, caught in the midst of a struggle over power and money: [here] crimes are being committed, intrigues, drug traffic networks and 'wholesale' exchanges are being set up, politics are hotly debated, predictions are being made, investigations, chases take place, dramas are being consumed, people eat vigorously, and nubile girls are being sold (bought) [...]." The Huzurei narratives as a whole are thought by Cosaşu equal in value to some of their acclaimed predecessors: George Călinescu's Bietul Ioanide and Marin Preda's Moromeţii.
