The high schools are part of the voortgezet onderwijs (literally: "continued education").

Following a suggestion by the school council, the school was named Groupe scolaire Trompe-Souris (Trompe- Souris School group) on 13 February 2003, the name of the farm that worked the fields where the school is located.

Between the years 1926 and 1930, the group grew, spreading to Jerusalem, Haifa and other areas of Israel. During these years, however, various factions broke off to form or join other youth groups with varying focuses. Under the contact hypothesis, several models have been developed. A number of these models utilize a superordinate identity to reduce prejudice. That is, a more broadly defined, ‘umbrella’ group/identity that includes the groups that are in conflict. By emphasizing this superordinate identity, individuals in both subgroups can share a common social identity. For example, if there is conflict between White, Black, and Latino students in a high school, one might try to emphasize the ‘high schoolgroup/identity that students share to reduce conflict between the groups.
Initially, plans were to consolidate all flying training in San Antonio at the new Randolph Field as the growth of the City of San Antonio created hazards for training. However, it was found that Randolph Field would become quite congested with only primary and basic training located there. In 1931, a reorganization of flying training in the Air Corps led to the demobilization of the 10th School Group, and its squadrons being transferred to Randolph. The advanced school at Kelly, however, remained with students being assigned directly to the school.

On the second day of the trip, the avalanche risk was deemed "considerable" or in the middle of the five-level scale, which proposes that natural avalanches were possible and human-triggered were likely. That day the students were following avalanche protocol of keeping 30 to 50 feet between pairs, and instructors stopped the group early in the trip to quiz each student about avalanche safety protocol. At 11:45 a.m. two mountain guides, who happened to be in the same area, heard a crack signaling the avalanche's start and shouted warnings to the school group below, who were swept away moments later.

Groups scaling Mount Hood are recommended to carry an emergency signaling device and all climbers must register before climbing and sign out upon return. The MLU was designed after a school group with two adults and seven children perished on Mount Hood in 1986. (See Mount Hood climbing accidents.) The bodies of some of the group were found in a snow cave a day after the searchers had passed within fifteen feet of their shelter without noticing them. According to Steve Rollins of Portland Mountain Rescue, the units could be worn on a sash across the chest and were relatively light.

The Mission School was composed of five artists all born in the late 1960s and living and working in the 1990s in San Francisco's Mission District when it was still a low-rent neighborhood. The artists bonded over punk music, skateboarding, graffiti, queer politics and zine publishing, and they shared an appreciation for funky cartooning, offbeat social satire, quirky abstraction, folk art and old- fashioned graphic styles. Combining craft/folk art and urban street and graffiti culture, Alicia McCarthy and this Mission School group of artists cultivated an art style that prized the handmade in an increasingly technologized society. McCarthy's art featured punk messages transformed into poetic and geometric forms.

College SA was initially established in partnership with the Curro School Group, as Curro College in 2007. In 2008, the Curro School Partners sold their shares, and Curro College became College SA. With the beginning of the five-year expansion program of the Air Corps in 1926, it was found that the existing facilities in the San Antonio area would be insufficient to support the expansion, and a third training group would need to be established at March Field, a former World War I training field which had been closed in 1922. With a third group of four squadrons at March, a wing was needed as an intermediate level of command to avoid having too many units being assigned directly to school Headquarters at Kelly Field.ManningMaurer Upon activation at Kelly Field, the wing transferred personnel from the 10th School Group.
