His contained a pink slip, meaning he was fired. In early 2009, Covell began playing the role of the masked Suicide, while Frankie Kazarian (the original Suicide) recovered from injury.

James' briefcase was next, giving him a future TNA World Tag Team Championship match with a partner of his choice. Steiner's new and Williams' old briefcase as well as Daniels' case was open simultaneously next. Awarding Steiner a future TNA X Division Championship match and giving Daniels the pink slip, effectively firing him in storyline. After this segment, Steiner and Williams started a storyline over their briefcases, leading up to Against All Odds where Steiner defeated Williams to gain control over both cases.

Cars and parts can be obtained by scanning barcodes and either receiving a car from the dealership or beating your opponent in a Pink Slip style race. Parts are also obtained the same way as dealership cars, but are received from the Garage. Only one of each car and car part can be obtained. Hindrances can pop up anytime you scan a barcode in the form of losing your car to the police, being impounded or a modified car crashing into a tree and losing a part.

By the beginning of "Chuck Versus the Pink Slip", Chuck's relationship with Sarah has been shattered. Flashbacks over the course of the episode reveal that Sarah asked him to go AWOL and run away with her to be together. Chuck was initially happy to do so, but by the time he met with her at their agreed rendezvous point had changed his mind and declined so he could go to Prague and become a real spy. Sarah was heartbroken and cut off contact with him.

During the mid-1980s Martin briefly worked with Pink Slip and the Meisner-Roberts Band. In the late 80's while touring with Roberts and Meisner, he decided to stay a few extra nights in San Antonio following a gig for the San Antonio Jaycees to see his buddy, musician Augie Myers. Martin told concert producer/musician Raven Alan St. John he had been robbed by hotel maids at the Sierra Royale Suites and couldn't pay for the extra nights. The hotel comped him for two more nights and fired one maid.

The film revolves around three down-on-their-luck friends, who have their own problems. Jeeva is a petty criminal, but has fallen in love with Jhansi, who is being pressured to get married. In Chuck Versus First Class, Sarah told Daniel Shaw that she spread Bryce's ashes in Lisbon, Portugal where they took their first mission. It is unknown if this is in fact the truth or a lie Sarah told to cover her intent to go rogue with Chuck in Chuck Versus the Pink Slip.

Inside each of the briefcases is some sort of paperwork. One of the cases holds a contract for an Impact World Championship match, one holds a contract for an Impact X Division Championship match, and one holds a contract for an Impact World Tag Team Championship match (with a partner of that wrestler's choosing). The fourth and final briefcase contains a pink slip, which fires the wrestler carrying it. (The 2016 edition replaced the X Division championship contract with one for the TNA King of the Mountain Championship.) The winners of the briefcases do not reveal what is in them that night.

On November 1, 2014, The BroMans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) along with DJZ were defeated by Team 246 (Kaz Hayashi and Shuji Kondo) with Minoru Tanaka during the Wrestle-1's Keiji Mutoh 30th Anniversary show. On January 23, 2015 episode of Impact Wrestling, The BroMans competed in the Feast or Fired match, during the match Velvet Sky assisted Robbie E by grabbing a feast or fired brief case but during the brief case reveal Robbie turned this around on Sky claiming that she should open the case since she was the one who originally retrieved it. Sky opened the brief case containing the pink slip.

Haley Kaye Hudson (born June 14, 1986) is an American actress. She began her career at age 16 after being cast in Disney's remake of Freaky Friday opposite Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. Hudson played the role of Peg, a member of the rock band Pink Slip and best friend of the main character, played by Lohan. During her teens and 20s, she portrayed many different characters in films and TV shows including the roles of Debby in Marley & Me, Quinn Hodes in Weeds, Sydney Fields in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Amanda in both Look and Look: The Series for director Adam Rifkin.

Using the setting of a classic 1950s drag race, PINKS pits contestants in a best two-out-of-three format, with the loser handing over the title (pink slip) to his or her vehicle.

Originally, a Fast and the Furious video game was about to release on 2003 by Genki but was cancelled for unknown reasons, presumably due to the graphics. Notably, several games have been released for mobile gaming, with a number available for iOS and Android devices, with the unlicensed tie-ins The Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip, Fast & Furious, Fast Five and Fast & Furious: Adrenaline. At Final Resolution on December 7, 2008, LAX took part in the second ever "Feast or Fired" match where both members managed to capture a briefcase containing either a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, X Division Championship or TNA World Tag Team Championship or a Pink Slip. The contents of the briefcases were revealed on the following episode of Impact! resulting in a future TNA World Heavyweight Championship match for Hernandez and an X Division Championship opportunity for Homicide. The Latin American Xchange debuted in the International Wrestling Association on Histeria Boricua, a special event that took place on January 6, 2009.

On June 27, 2009, it was announced that actress and model Mini Anden would be returning to reprise her role of Carina. Anden had previously appeared in the role in the first season episode "Chuck Versus the Wookiee". Casting for the role of Karl Stromberg was announced on August 6, 2009, and actor Vinnie Jones was announced in the role by September. Although originally scheduled to premier in March, the episode was rescheduled instead into a two-hour premier along with "Chuck Versus the Pink Slip" on Sunday, January 10, 2010 with a third episode airing in the series' normal time slot the following evening.

127 Rose Avenue is the fifty-first studio album from country music singer Hank Williams, Jr. This album was released June 16, 2009 on Curb Records, his last for the label. It includes the single "Red, White & Pink Slip Blues", which peaked at #43 on the U.S. country singles charts shortly before the album's release. The album title "127 Rose Avenue" is a reference to the boyhood home of Hank Williams Sr in Georgiana, AL. One of the co-writers Bud McGuire was inspired after a visit to the home, whose actual address is 127 Rose Street. The album debuted at #7 on the Billboard country chart.

Later, Patty takes Stan to couples therapy, and after a lengthy session tells Stan that she wants some time apart and kicks Stan out of the family home ("Love Is the Message"). By "Pink Slip", Stan and Angel are now living together as a couple, however this is short lived when Angel takes Stan to a ball. He is overwhelmed by the atmosphere and culture, and realizes this life isn't for him and leaves Angel. Stan shows up outside the ballroom and begs Angel to take him back and promises to "rescue" her from the life of the balls, however he is rejected and leaves ("Mother of the Year").

TNA held the first-ever Feast or Fired match next. In the Feast or Fired match, four briefcases are held above four different turnbuckles on poles, with three having future title shots for the TNA World Heavyweight, TNA X Division, and TNA World Tag Team Championships; the remaining briefcase holds a pink slip, leading to that wrestler's contract termination. A wrestler must retrieve the briefcase and then leave the ring in order to gain official possession of the case. The participants in the bout were Scott Steiner, Senshi, B.G. James, Petey Williams, Shark Boy, Lance Hoyt, Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, Homicide, Hernandez, Kip James, Jimmy Rave, Chris Harris, and Sonjay Dutt.

When confronted by agents belonging to the Ring who had been intent on taking control of the system, he uses the knowledge received from the Intersect to quickly disable them in hand-to-hand combat. Earlier in the episode, Ted Roark reveals that Fulcrum has specifically ordered that Chuck be killed regardless of whether they recover the Intersect. Chuck was fired by Beckman after failing his spy training in "Chuck Versus the Pink Slip", but by the end of the episode proved his value and was reinstated on the team. He was sent on his first solo mission by Daniel Shaw in "Chuck Versus First Class".

Immediately the two began to attempt to take out their rivals with the help of a reunited D-Generation X, leading to a pole match between Foley, who was then wrestling as Mankind, and The Rock where the first man to grab a pink slip hanging from the pole would keep his job. Mankind lost, and therefore was fired. On the January 3, 2000 edition of Raw Is War, Triple H defeated The Big Show to regain the WWF Championship he had lost to him at Survivor Series the prior November.

Robbie returned to Impact Wrestling on the July 24 edition losing to The Great Muta. Beron founded the site in early 1999 to document, popularize, and promote social and business networking parties that had become part of the business culture of San Francisco's "dot com" industry, as well as her persona as a glamorous gatecrasher. Palmyra Delran is an American rock and roll musician, songwriter, guitarist and producer who was born in Princeton, New Jersey and later moved to Philadelphia. She played in seminal 1990s Philadelphia-area rock bands The Friggs and Pink Slip Daddy, as well as several of her own solo releases and recordings. In 2008, Delran released She Digs the Ride, a six-track EP, featuring the song "Baby Should Have Known Better", which was selected by Little Steven's Underground Garage as The Coolest Song in the World in 2008, and which gained Delran considerable attention for her efforts. Little Steven Van Zandt was a reported fan of Delran's previous band, the Friggs, and attended their 2008 NYC reunion show.

However, Brian re-engages them later that night when he lays the pink slip for his Mitsubishi Eclipse down as a wager in a high-stakes race near downtown LA. Dom accepts, but is unable to collect when an LAPD raid leads to the frantic dispersal of all the racers. Dom abandons his car in a parking garage, and is rescued by Brian from being captured by an LAPD patrol officer. Fleeing the police, the duo accidentally enter into the territory of Dom's rival, Johnny Tran, resulting in the destruction of Brian's Eclipse. Due to the earlier terms of the race, Dom holds Brian to his debt, but lets him into his inner-circle.

The morning after, Sarah briefs him at his apartment with a message from Beckman. Chuck is to find an ex-FSB agent-turned information broker named Anatoli Zevlovski, who is contacting a mole within the CIA providing information to the Ring. Chuck and Sarah meet to stakeout the hotel where Zevlovski is staying, and they nearly miss him when Chuck tries to talk with her about what happened in Prague (in "Chuck Versus the Pink Slip"), and asks her for a second chance to be together. Chuck and Sarah, who are just about to share a kiss, are interrupted by Shaw, who orders Chuck to infiltrate the hotel where Zevlovski is waiting in the steam room with two of his men.

On the following edition of Impact!, Nash congratulated Young on outsmarting him at Bound for Glory and aligned himself with the World Elite, ironically becoming the faction's American representative in the process despite the faction's anti-American leanings. At Final Resolution Young, Bashir, Homicide, Kiyoshi, Terry and Nash took part in the "Feast or Fired" match, with Nash, Terry and Bashir coming out of the match with briefcases despite Young ordering them not to get the briefcases. After the match it was revealed that Nash had earned himself a shot at fellow World Elite members Brutus Magnus & Doug Williams TNA World Tag Team Championship and Terry a shot at the X Division Championship, while Bashir had gotten a pink slip and was as a result fired from TNA.

At night, Dom and his team participate in illegal street racing in and around downtown LA. When they're not racing or working in the garage, the team performs precision hijackings out of three black high-performance Honda Civics, targeting container semi-trucks on LA freeways transporting electronic merchandise valued at hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. LAPD police officer Brian O'Connor infiltrates the group while working undercover, using the alias of Brian Spilner and the guise of a new racer eager to participate in high- stakes matches. On his first night, he challenges Dom by buying into a race using the pink slip for his Mitsubishi Eclipse (later said to be valued at $80,000). Brian ultimately loses the race, and a subsequent run-in with Dom's rival Johnny Tran leads to the Eclipse's destruction.

On the January 26 episode of Impact Wrestling, Grado revealed one of the four briefcases in the Feast or Fired, which revealed to be a pink slip resulting in him getting fired. On the February 9 episode of Impact Wrestling, Grado revealed that he was screwed out and his briefcase switched places but Eli Drake came out with security and escorted Grado out of the arena. On the February 16 episode of Impact Wrestling, Grado appeared in a mask as Odarg the Great with the same moveset, mannerisms and entrance and teamed with Mahabali Shera to defeat Drake and Jessie Godderz by ripping off his mask and pinning Drake. Later at the show, Odarg informed Drake that the two would be facing each other in a Six Sides of Steel match at Lockdown.

Andy steps up when Darryl tells him to give him the manager job, saying he deserves it and wants that or a pink slip, and bluntly tells Darryl he not only isn't going to do that, but Darryl was not the runner-up to Andy in the selection process; as he brings up Darryl's short temper, his hiring of the unqualified Glen, and his loss of interest in taking business education courses, Darryl finally snaps out of his funk and listens to him. Andy tells Darryl that Jo Bennett loved him and saw something in him, and he simply stopped striving after that. He convinces Darryl to stay on board. During "Garden Party", Andy throws a garden party to impress Robert with his parents Walter (Stephen Collins), Ellen (Dee Wallace) and younger brother Walter, Jr. (Josh Groban) in attendance.

Shortly after the incident, a Board of Inquiry investigation is conducted with the department interviewed one-by-one. Lim is awarded the National Creativity Award for inadvertently inventing a fire escape door during the fire. Two months later, WAS is shut down and their respective members go separate ways: Tiong retires because of a heart attack, Tan is sacked and had his pension (CPF) confiscated after his attempts to sabotage the Job Fair are discovered, Chee becomes the first director in history to be given a pink slip for skills being obsolete, and CEO Lui is blacklisted due to repeated mistakes; Lui then establishes the Minced Pork Organisation, only to be dissolved three months later. Blackjack and Bamboo are respectively interviewed for positions in other companies such as Number One Engineering and Perfect Print respectively, and the latter finds out Tiong is the company's CEO.

Not having enough money in his bank account to pay it, Max goes to the video store to get his paycheck, but having only worked two hours during the past week, that's all the pay he receives, and he is also given a pink slip. Sensing his friend may be in over his head, Orin offers to try to help Max, but all he wants is money to supposedly "fix the car" (though Orin sees right through this flimsy claim). After returning home, Max takes $200 from Ed's wallet; when he gently attempts to approach the subject with his son, even offering to help him out of his financial situation, an argument erupts that culminates in Sophie striking Max. Feeling as though he can never go back home, Max and Molly (who was kicked out of her place) move in with her druggie friends.

On the February 9 episode Of Impact Wrestling, Drake was attacked by Grado who had been fired after his Feast or Fired briefcase contained the pink slip. Later that night Drake interrupted him backstage and told him "he better shut up about whatever he thinks he knows" and then attacked Grado again and had him escorted out of the building through the tunnel. Drake feuded with Grado once again who was masked as Odarg the Great feuding him backstage with Jessie Godderz and telling him he was going to be facing against him. This led the match on the February 16 episode of Impact Wrestling, which he lost, and led to the rematch at TNA Lockdown special episode of Impact Wrestling in the Six Sides of Steel match, in which he's unsuccessful due to interference from the returning Mahabali Shera who went on to team with Odarg the Great and pulling his mask off from his face.

Many illegal street races of the 1950s, glorified in movies, featured racing for vehicle titles, henceforth the popularity of the term "racing for pink slips," and the 2005-08 Speed series Pinks was developed from it.
