It includes, among other facilities, a restaurant, ethno-gallery, souvenir shop, sports fields and outdoor gym. By August 2017, a 105 cement prints of the people who helped the reconstruction were displayed, including those of tennis players Novak Djokovic and Ana Ivanovic and a new lift, for the parents with children and the disabled, have been constructed.

The construction of the Integrated Day Charter School removed the Research and Development and Storage Building 1. The "Colosseum" as it was termed, was an outdoor gym which retained sides of the former building. Completed in 2008, the two-story addition created an indoor gymnasium, kitchen, offices and a new lobby for the school at a cost of $2 million. The renovation of the large Manufacturing building included the installation of new windows and energy-efficient roofing along with the installation of modern mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Winton is also the home to Winton Park, a three time winner of the Green Flag award. It was first opened in 1906 and has recently undergone a major refurbishment which included the design of a new central grassed area, installation of public toilets and improvements to the bowlers' pavilion. The park also features a bowling green, children's play area, multi-use games area and outdoor gym equipment. Schools and community groups are welcome to use the site and a range of outdoor education and volunteering opportunities are regularly organised.

Leyton Jubilee Park is the largest park managed Waltham Forest Borough Council, it was formed out of the merger of two green spaces, Ive Farm and Marsh Lane Playing Fields in August 2012. The park's ecology includes scrub woodland, meadow, wildflowers and mature trees including poplars and london planes. Dagenham Brook is a river running along the eastern boundary of the park which is populated by such birds as kingfishers and little egrets. The park's features include picnic, recreation and seating areas, playgrounds, an outdoor gym and a community cafe.

Football pitches in Charlton Park Charlton Park is a public park in Charlton, in south-east London, in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Christchurch Park is a historical area of rolling lawns, wooded areas, and delicately created arboreta close to the town centre in Ipswich, Suffolk. The school obtained permission from the town to use its public park which has many facilities that serve the purpose of the school's physical activities. Meanwhile, to increase in more physical activity, the school has managed to purchase some fitness equipment and has transformed one of the classrooms into a fitness center. ANA has also converted one of its parking lots into an outdoor gym which the students are using on a daily basis and after school hours. The school is in process of rekindling teams in soccer, basketball, football and aerobics, led by certified instructors.

The entire revitalized area was projected at and should comprise the surrounding forest, rearranged forest paths, outdoor gym, children playgrounds and gazebos. The illegally built houses, fences, gardens and sewage drains along the stream were to be demolished. It was supposed to be the starting phase of the creation of the "green-blue corridors", the network of arranged forest and water sections all over the city, and the next project was already slated to be the stream of Jelezovac potok, a tributary to the Kaljavi potok. As of 2017, nothing from the entire project has been done.

To the north, Leavesden Country Park comprising 110 acres of mature woods, parkland, football pitches, BMX track, outdoor gym, walks and playgrounds was created out of the grounds of Leavesden Hospital which closed in 1997. Some buildings have been converted for use as a Health Club.Three Rivers District Leavesden Country Park , Accessed 21 January 2013 Leavesden Country Park (north) is also the home of Leavesden junior parkrun, a free, weekly, timed 2 km run for 4-14 year olds every Sunday at 9am which is entirely dependent on volunteers. Also, what was based on the old airfield site, now accessed along High Road, Leavesden sits 2F (Watford) Squadron of the Air Training Corps.

In 2011, Cliffhanger was once again held in the park and a new Outdoor Gym was opened next to the skatepark, along with a zipwire in the playground area. The park was also granted the Green Flag award for its excellent facilities, environmental sustainability and horticultural standards. Plans for 2012 saw the installation of a children's cycle roadway, the old poplar trees were removed and replaced by an avenue of mature oak trees and improvements to the old Mill Buildings at the Northern end of the park during 2012 & 2013 saw the smaller mill building brought back to a usable state. In 2014, Cliffhanger once again returned to Millhouses Park, following a short absence in Graves Park.

More recently the location of the village, near Durham City and close to the A1(M) junction 61, has meant that the village has become a prime site for new commuter housing and industrial estates. However there has been significant development of owner occupied housing along the eastern edge of the village, and on the old secondary school site. From 2004, a village regeneration project began, involving the demolition of some council housing on the northern estate and the building of a mixture of housing association and private housing. As part of the regeneration project, the park was upgraded, with new football fields, an outdoor gym and an excellent children’s play area, as well as significant improvements to such community facilities as Bowburn Community Centre and the DJ Evans Youth Club (aka Bowburn Youth Project).
