David Longstaff, who had spent the previous eight seasons with the Newcastle Vipers, arrived in Guildford, and he was joined by ex-Viper teammate Ben Campbell. Matt Towe made up the quintet joining the Flames for the 2010–11 season when he arrived from the Cardiff Devils. The Flames got off to their best start in five years, winning ten games on the trot, before finally suffering their first defeat for the new season, with a 4–2 loss on home ice against the Slough Jets in late October.
Gangwon played its first ever K-League match against Jeju United on 8 March 2009, at Gangneung Stadium, winning 1–0 with a decisive goal from Yoon Jun-ha. With this victory, they became the first ever team to win their debut game in K League. Gangwon FC continued their winning start to the season with a further four victories on the trot and causing a sensation in the first half of 2009 K League. Unfortunately Gangwon was unable to maintain their initial success, and by round 19 had fallen into the lower half of the league table.
During this spell Joe Dale was offloaded to Witton Albion, as Hodgson attempted to fill the gaps in the first team with young reserves. Winning three games on the trot, the Vale put an end to this bad spell, also keeping three clean sheets. Over the Christmas period talk was dominated by 'The Wembley of the North', which had been projected as an 80,000 capacity stadium, now it was planned as a 40,000 capacity ground with room for future expansion. Finding just fifty members for the '100 club', the financing was helped by a £8,000 grant from The Football Association.
However, during a congested period throughout February and March 2011, Stevenage won nine games out of eleven, propelling the club up the league table and into the play-off positions. In the off-season the Sharks signed Stuart Raper as their head coach following the previous season's dismissal of Chris Anderson. Cronulla did not begin the 2004 season well, losing four or five matches on the trot to be sitting last on the ladder after round five. One early season lowlight was the on-field dismissal of Greg Bird for kneeing Souths' winger Shane Marteene and his subsequent 10-week ban. However, there were some on-field highlights none more so than their round 22 upset of the high-flying Sydney Roosters who were sitting on top of the ladder at the time.
Reading's Good Friday game against fellow promotion chasers Leeds United ended 0–0 to end a run of eight wins on the trot. On 25 April, a Monday, Reading lost their recent unbeaten record of 13 games in a 3–2 defeat at home to relegation threatened Sheffield United. Reading went 2–0 up inside 20 minutes through Noel Hunt and Hal Robson-Kanu before ex-Royal Darius Henderson pulled one back on 30 minutes and Lee Williamson converted on the stroke of half-time. In the second-half, Henderson scored again to seal the win for the Blades.
At the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico, Gerhard Berger made a return despite continued pain in his fingers. However, transmission and gearbox problems forced the Ferraris to retire from point-scoring positions for the third race straight. While they lamented their results, McLaren and Senna took a third win on the trot by a differing choice of tyres. Prost's choice, and the wrong set of tyres being given to him at a pit stop (which prompted team boss Ron Dennis to issue Prost a public apology after the race), sent him down the order to fifth.
While Pasuwa was the coach at Dembare (a nickname for Dynamos F.C.), he also doubled as the national team assistant coach. It was however at Dembare that Pasuwa carved his name in the country's history books when he won four consecutive league titles. Many had expressed skepticism over Pasuwa's capacity to coach a well decorated outfit such as Dynamos after having taken over from Lloyd Mutasa whom he had been deputising. Pasuwa silenced his critics with four deserved league titles on the trot including other trophies such as the Mbada Diamonds Cup, Gushungo Victory Cup and the Bob 90 Cup.
Hibbert started the 2009–10 season in fantastic form, building a strong partnership with Nathan Elder. A brief spell on the sidelines through an achilles injury slowed up his impressive flurry of goals, but he then scored five on the trot, against Macclesfield Town, Bradford City, Chesterfield, Burton Albion and Dagenham & Redbridge; eventually hitting six goals in eight games. Though he suffered a groin injury late in the season and missed out on his target of twenty goals, his fifteen goals made him Shrewsbury's top goalscorer for the second time in three seasons earned him the club's Player of the Year award.
Moreover, Tipperary had lost back-to-back All-Ireland finals in 1967 and 1968. The thought of losing a third championship decider on-the-trot proved a great motivation. In 1970 Cork triumphed over Wexford in the All-Ireland final to claim their 21st and draw level with Tipperary at the top of hurling's roll of honour. A victory for Tipp would put them one title ahead yet again, while a victory for Kilkenny would give them their 18th All-Ireland title and would narrow the gap between them and the other two big teams in hurling's trinity.
Baker recreated her variety act in an episode of the BBC series The Good Old Days in 1976. In a coda to her musical career, she teamed with Arthur Mullard in 1978 to record a comedy version of "You're the One That I Want" from the film Grease. Baker and Mullard, then aged 73 and 68, dressed in wigs and costumes similar to the John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John characters from Grease and appeared on the BBC show Top of the Pops and the Granada Television music show for children Get It Together. The two entertainers recorded an album of pop covers entitled Band on the Trot.
Unfortunately the changes did not have the desired effect and in a disappointing game Dykehead left with both points after a 2-1 win. After two home defeats it was hoped that Dumbarton’s third home fixture on the trot would bring better results. Three new faces were introduced – Richard Oldcorn in goal and Francis McCormack on the left wing who had both impressed in the Qualifying Cup tie for Carfin despite the result, and McHarg (ex Ayr Parkhouse). The opponents were Ayr Parkhouse and on the day Dumbarton got back into winning ways with a 4-0 victory – and that despite losing McCallum to injury 10 minutes into the second half.

The young generation, born after the liberation of the Korean peninsula, now appeared on the Trot stage and later became leading Trot singers in the 1970s. Nam Jin () made his debut at the age of 20 with "Seoul Playboy" (), Na Hun-a () at the age of 17 with "Long Journey" (), Moon Joo-ran () at the age of 16 with "Song Of Dongsuk" (), Ha Chun-hwa as a child performer (6 years old) with "Filial Daughter Simcheong" ().
Chennai bowlers Dwayne Bravo and Ashish Nehra produced consistent bowling performances throughout the tournament, with the former holding on to the Purple Cap for most wickets during the season. Chennai's most prolific batsman of the season Brendon McCullum had to depart for England on national duty at the conclusion of the league stage. Mumbai began the season with five defeats in their first six matches, including four on the trot at the start of the season. At this time, their opener Aaron Finch was ruled out of the tournament with an injury, after which Mumbai found success with their new opening combination of Parthiv Patel and Lendl Simmons.
Although going into the Grand Final as favourites, Collingwood was beaten by a Brisbane side written off by many as too old and too slow. The Lions peppered the goals in the opening term, before taking advantage of the shellshocked Magpies with a six-goal to one second term. Only late plastic surgery to the scoreboard was able to save Collingwood any face, the Lions victorious for the third year on the trot by a whopping 50 points. The club was subjected to a summer-long period of ridicule, the ramifications of the loss stirring the mindset of the team for the next two years.
At the following Grand Prix at Hungary, Senna secured his 24th pole position, securing the third highest total after legendary champions Jim Clark and Juan Manuel Fangio, backing his qualifying effort up by taking victory over teammate Prost by just over half a second. This was Senna's sixth win of the season, and third on the trot, with Prost on just four wins. Despite suffering from Chickenpox, Nigel Mansell secured his first front row start since the opening race in Brazil. On the tight and twisty Hungaroring, the only turbo powered cars in the top 7 were the McLarens, with Prost down in 7th place.
At home, Carver's team were unbeatable, but away from home, they struggled for results and promotion hopes looked slim. Throughout the autumn, rumours persisted of a move back to Italy, but these were quashed by chairman Shanks. By now, it had become apparent that Carver and Raynor's continental style was not quite enough to win promotion amidst the hurly-burly of the Third Division, and Carver re-shaped his approach. In December, he bought Ken McPherson from Middlesbrough, a big bustling centre-forward, and the team won five games on the trot culminating in a 5-1 thrashing of Millwall in front of a crowd of 30,000.
Ogden again finished in mid-table obscurity, 14 points out of the playoffs in 5th place. Kyle Christensen and Andy Cornia were the joint top scorers with 4 goals each, and Matt Broadhead topped the assists standings for the second year in a row, with four. Ogden realigned to the Southwest Division in 2009 following the PDL expansion in the Pacific Northwest, but found the going tough in amongst the teams of Southern California. They tied their first game of the season 1-1 with the Southern California Seahorses, but lost their next three on the trot, including a 4-0 hammering at the hands of Orange County Blue Star.
In such commanding form, pundits alike reckoned that it was a matter of time before they would resume their domestic supremacy. West Ham took some heart in their performance at Old Trafford by scoring the opening goal, thus breaking United's clean sheet record. The champions responded in typical fashion, scoring twice in both halves of the match to win a third on the trot and give Ferguson the perfect boost ahead of their midweek Champions League tie. Although victorious away to Košice, United couldn't break the deadlock in their next league match to Bolton, squandering numerous chances to remain at the top of the table, most notably from Andy Cole.
We can only assume that water polo continued to flourish when the soldiers returned from the First World War because when the Dorset County Amateur Swimming Association was formed in 1931 it paid for a senior men's championship shield which is still competed for today. The first winners on this trophy were Bridport, the only time the town lifted the championship. After the Second World War, Portland became the supreme force in Dorset water polo winning the championship shield 21 years on the trot. Weymouth also had a strong water polo side during this time and there was a great deal of local rivalry.
Despite the failures of the previous season, manager Jim Fallon retained his position and unfortunately that decision was to prove disastrous as the league campaign started off in the same poor manner as the previous one. By the end of October, Dumbarton had one win to show for 13 league matches, and had sunk to second bottom place, resulting in Fallon's resignation. Within a week Ian Wallace, one of the club's brightest stars of the 1970s, had been installed and things began to take a turn for the better. Three wins on the trot in November saw Wallace named as Second Division manager of the month, but it wasn't to last.

She has been goalkeeping for the Wexford Senior Camogie Team since 2003 and is regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the game of camogie. Throughout her time at University College Dublin, D'Arcy helped the college bridge a 19-year gap to capture back the Ashbourne Cup for two years on the trot in 2007 and 2008.
Automobile historique (To be completed) Love and Dave Charlton both won the South African Formula One championship for six consecutive seasons, Love from 1964 to 1969 and Charlton from 1970 to 1975. In 1975 Ian Scheckter raced the Tyrrell 007 that had been campaigned by brother, Jody, in the previous year's world championship and won five of the season's races, including four on the trot. However, he only had one other points finish, fifth place at the False Bay "100" on 5 July, giving him a points total of 47 for the season. Charlton proved more consistent with three victories and five second-place finishes to give him a points total of 57.
FC Pune City beat FC Goa 2–0 in front of a packed stadium to mark their home debut with a win as Kostas Katsouranis and Captain David Trezeguet scored a goal each. In their second home fixture, the club suffered a 1–2 defeat against Kerala Blasters despite David Trezeguet scoring the first goal for FC Pune City in the 15th minute. Playing their third home game on the trot, the club showed great spirit against NorthEast United FC as John Goossens’ 88th-minute header gave FC Pune City a 1–0 win, second in three matches at home. On 7 November 2014, the club took on Atlético de Kolkata in Kolkata.
The League Cup campaign was poor; an 11–10 loss on penalties to Peterhead was followed up by wins over Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers but for the 3rd year on the trot the club failed to progress to the next round. The league, like the League Cup, started off disappointingly, with to a 4–1 defeat by Dundee United at Tannadice Park. However, the following weekend they won 2–1 at home against Arbroath. The game came one year after the death of the club's first captain, Alan Hercher, who scored a hat-trick against the same opposition in the first (home) game of the club's existence, almost 25 years prior.
Christopher Neil replaced Hugh Murphy, Rafferty's usual producer, introducing synthesisers and drum machines that give the album a harder, less acoustic sound, and apparently eschewing the richly detailed arrangements notable on Rafferty's three previous records. According to Murphy, interviewed a decade later: "Gerry had made three albums on the trot and I think he was pretty jaded at that time and feeling the pressure and he just thought, 'Well, I'll try another tack,' which is understandable". He followed this with 8/128 on 10 August against Leicestershire, the 80th best performance by an Essex bowler, beating his previous best of 6/78 by some margin and reaching a landmark of 50 first-class wickets, though he was unable to prevent a draw.
Whilst Port Erin and nearby Port St Mary both had teams prior to the formation of Rushen United, many of the players in these teams also went to sea. Also, both clubs are overlooked by "Towers". Peel have Corrins Folly and Rushen have Milners Tower, which stands sentry to Port Erin Bay. During 2002, and at the age of 50, club stalwart Eric Nelson played his 1000th game during a Division One fixture against Pulrose United at Croit Lowey, and was presented with a memento to mark the occasion. During the late 1970s and up to the late 1980s, the club won the First Division seven times in eleven seasons, including four years on the trot from 1977 to 1981.
In July 2009 Moffat took over the head coach roll at Edinburgh following Robinson's appointment as head coach of the national side. In his first season they finished 6th in the Celtic League and failed to make progress from the pool stages of the Heineken Cup having won three of their matches. The 2010 Magners campaign got off to a poor start with three losses on the trot before managing to overcome Leinster with a bonus point win at home in Murrayfield. By January Edinburgh had climbed to 7th but a home loss to the Scarlets and failure to progress in the Heineken Cup with only one win in six saw Moffat's time as head coach come to an end.
Warriors would go on to scoop two more league titles on the trot, including the fantastic 1972 season when they swept all the silverware on offer. Simutowe played a key role in luring Godfrey Chitalu to Warriors in 1971 and in January 1973 he experienced barbarianism in football when Warriors travelled to Madagascar for an African Club Champions Cup second leg tie against Fortier Majunga at the National Stadium in Antananrivo. Warriors were leading 4–1 from the first leg in that was played in Lusaka and had just scored the fourth goal for an 8–1 aggregate lead when the hostile crowd turned on them and showered them with all sorts of missiles and Simutowe got hit on the head in a hail of stones.
Chelsea began their 2014 FA Cup campaign with a comfortable 2–0 win against second tier side Derby County, managed by former England coach Steve McClaren. Victory came courtesy of a rare John Obi Mikel goal, scoring his second of the season despite not having scored since 2007 before his goal against Fulham in October, followed by an Oscar goal 20 minutes from time that sealed the win. On 11 January, Chelsea won their fourth consecutive league game at the KC Stadium with a 0–2 win over Hull City, with goals from Hazard and Torres. Chelsea made it five league wins on the trot with an impressive 3–1 home win against Manchester United on 19 January, with a Samuel Eto'o hat-trick making the difference.
On this occasion 'the Rebels' were attempting to capture a third All-Ireland title on the trot and a record crowd turned out in Croke Park to see Rackard and Christy Ring do battle. In the end it was Johnny Clifford who turned out to be the hero as Cork won the day on a score line of 1–9 to 1–6. In 1955 Rackard won his third Leinster title, however, an All-Ireland medal still eluded his collection. Wexford later defeated Limerick in the All-Ireland semi-final before later facing Galway in the championship decider. At half-time the men from the West led by 2–5 to 2–3, however a Tim Flood goal nine minutes from full-time gave Wexford a deserved 3–13 to 2–8 win.
The 2010–11 National League 1 is the second season of the third division of the English domestic rugby union competitions since the professionalised format of the second division was introduced. Coventry find themselves playing in this league following their relegation from the 2009-10 RFU Championship while teams coming up include Macclesfield (2009–10 National League 2 North), Barking and Rosslyn Park (both 2009–10 National League 2 South). Despite losing three out of their first four games, London Scottish would go on to win the league title by winning twenty-six games on the trot and finishing ahead of newly promoted Barking. They actually trailed Barking for most of the season, with a rearranged Christmas fixture meaning that they would face the Goresbrook-based side in the final game.
The squad was kept largely intact, with Lavicka not releasing many, except those who has already signed for other clubs. The season started strongly with a 3–2 away victory against league newcomers North Queensland Fury. The success for would continue for Sydney FC, with many impressive results, including a 3–0 victory against arch-rivals Melbourne Victory in Melbourne. The team would not drop out of the top 4 for the entire season, and despite a mid-season slump, which saw Sydney FC lose 3 games on the trot, however strong end of season performances including a 3–2 victory against Perth Glory at Parramatta Stadium and a 2–0 defeat of Melbourne Victory at the Sydney Football Stadium to finish first and take out the Premiership.
Chelsea started December with a home win against Southampton, continuing their strong home form in the league. The Saints took a shock early lead, Jay Rodriguez finding the back of the net with only 13 seconds on the clock. The Blues came back to win through second half goals from John Terry, Gary Cahill and a late goal from substitute Demba Ba. Chelsea's next match saw them defeat a spirited Sunderland side 3–4 in a thrilling, topsy-turvy encounter at the Stadium of Light; yet again the Blues went behind but were able to fight back to get the win following a mercurial display by Eden Hazard, who scored a brace. After three wins on the trot, Chelsea went to the Britannia Stadium looking to close the gap on leaders Arsenal to one point.
Ballyhale Shamrocks were hoping to win a record- breaking fifth All-Ireland title while Loughrea were appearing in their first decider. Loughrea made a brilliant start to the game and they led by double- scores after ten minutes thanks to good work from Ken Colleran (0-2), John O'Loughlin and Johnny Maher. Ballyhale Shamrocks were quick to race into gear with five points on the trot with MIchael Fennelly, T. J. Reid and Patrick Reid and Henry Shefflin all on target. These scores gave Ballyhale a 0-7 to 0-4 advantage by the 19th-minute and a great run from T. J. Reid from 45 metres out resulted in the game's first goal as he had no hesitation in crashing the ball to the back of the Loughrea net.
They lost three games on the trot in late June, conceding a late goal to lose 2–1 at Carolina Dynamo, and letting Bradenton Academics score on them five times, and suddenly their playoff spot was in jeopardy. Despite winning three their final games of the regular season, all of which were high scoring thrillers, and included a last- minute winner in the 3–2 victory over Nashville, and a 4–2 final day blowout over Carolina Dynamo in which Ryan Roushandel scored a hat trick, they were never quite able to make up the deficit brought on by their mid season slump, eventually finishing a close 4th in the Southeast Division, 6 point out of the playoffs. Ryan Roushandel was by far the Silverbacks' outstanding striker, with 12 goals for the season, while Jeff Scannella contributed 9 assists.
Perisic's finish near the right-hand bottom corner of the goal from a one-two with Icardi made it three in the second half and with ten minutes to spare despite Radu's block of a Gagliardini header from a Perisic corner was judged to have crossed the line by goal-line technology, giving the Italian central midfielder his second goal of the night. It was another match Inter gloriously dominated. Inter engulfed victories over A.C. Milan and Genoa in November inside a seven-game winning run, with defeat of Milan the fifth win on the trot in the league and victory over Genoa the seventh. Inter beat Sampdoria 1–0, Fiorentina 2–1, Cagliari 2–0, SPAL 2–1,A.C. Milan 1–0, Lazio 3–0 in another notable season's accomplishment, and Genoa 5-0 on this run of form.
Part through but great to see Priestley back and hitting six maxima during the match. Andy Jenkins raced off to a 5-0 lead against Colin Monk with an average of over 103.0 but the latter pulled it back to 7-6. Jenkins took the next leg to win 8-6. Alan Warriner also went into the quarter finals beating Alan Caves 8-3. Denis Ovens and Roland Scholten was neck and neck all the way until Scholten pulled clear at the end for an 8-6 win. John MaGowan went 6-1 up against Kevin Painter and appeared to have the game won but Painter clawed 7 legs on the trot to win 8-6. Colin Lloyd raced to a 6-2 lead against Ronnie Baxter but the latter pulled the game back to 7-7.
Although he did manage to fight his way back to second place, it was the first time he had ever been beaten to the finish (namely by fellow double world champion Marcus Grönholm) on these roads in the Xsara WRC. This outcome was mirrored on the following month's Swedish Rally, with Grönholm again the man to whom Loeb was forced to give best, placing the duo in an early runaway 1–2 position in the points standings. Loeb on a road section during the 2006 Rally Finland But the Frenchman's bridesmaid status was not to last, and racking up a triumph on the ensuing Rally Mexico – the first of five on the trot that season – propelled him into a championship lead he was never to lose.
